Ted loves to play, hike, and boy does he get dirty! We love the affordable self wash at Sharp Dressed Pets and Grooming! The separate space set up makes washing Ted stressless and a great experience for him. I appreciate the clean area, the easy to use and control water spray, the shampoo/conditioner provided and solution dispenser are wonderful, and the fresh clean absorbent towels are much appreciated. The drying station is designed to secure my dog without stress so that I can use the dryer and fluff with both hands. The owner, Kelly, is at hand so if I have any questions or concerns she provides professional advice or hand quickly. She offers other pre-arranged services too. Easy to schedule using the self wash. Easy to use the self wash equipment. Easy to help my pup look and smell clean in between his grooming! We give Sharp Dressed Pets and Grooming 4 paws up!

I was nervous finding a place to take my Australian Shepherd to because he can be a lot and the first time I tried to get him groomed the lady scolded me because he wasn't in the right mind set to be groomed. Needless to say when we moved to Santee I need to find someone who would work with Levi and be patient with him. Kelly and her family were amazing with him and he came home happy and handsome that first time. He's back there for his third or fourth time and I know he is in good hands who is patient with his 3 year old Aussie self!

First time and I'm impressed!! Awesome customer service, staff is super sweet and friendly, place is presentable and clean, and left my sweet girl looking even more adorable!! I love how they cut her and I can tell Nala was in very good hands because she looked so happy!! Definitely recommending!!!!

Texted on Tuesday and was offered an amazing deal for Thursday. They took my pup right back, had her for about an hour and a half, texted me 20 mins before she was finished and brought her out immediately when I arrived. Alex was great and my girl looked and smelt wonderful. As a new dog owner they eased my anxiety with how quick and painless everything was (for me, the dog was fine ). I will definitely be back.

Our two dogs have never been to a groomer so we wanted to try a nail trim first. Went to Sharp Dressed Pets and was warmly greeted by Laura and two other pups that were there. The store is clean and bright and you can watch everything. Laura was SO gentle with both dogs (one is a tripod rescue who is scared of everything) and used a dremel to grind the nails. They look so much better and as you can tell by Addy's smile, she approves! We will be back soon for a full momo grooming. : ) Super happy to find a friendly, quality local groomer.

I am SO happy & satisfied with my experience with Kelly! My mom found her from her wonderful reviews on here so I wanted to personally leave one too because everyone needs to take their pets to Kelly! She is so kind, is great at communicating for pick up, and did a wonderful cut/style on my pup Finn! I am really picky about groomers because Finn is a Bichon Frise and their cuts are specific plus their coats often get matted; making it difficult to style. He was matted when I took him in & this is one of the best cuts he's ever had! I live in North Park but will definitely be driving the distance to take him for his next cut- it's worth it! She was also very accommodating when I needed to push back my appointment time. Thank you Kelly for your great customer service, awesome haircut & just an overall 5 star experience! Finn is my baby & I appreciate you taking such good care of him. We will see you again soon :)

This salon is the absolute best! We found them when they first opened after our dog was becoming nervous and scared to go to the groomer. In just a few visits our dog has now become so excited to get groomed and loves the whole staff. She gets to play with friends while there and enjoy a calming environment! We've been going here over a year now and recommend for all our friends and family to go here as well!

They gifted Yeti with this cute tie and took this wonderful picture! So cute!

We've been taking Yeti to get his grooming done a handful of times now and had a great experience each time! We love his cut and they are great with him. They're also so friendly and accommodating. Parking is a breeze. We recently took him again this past Wednesday and they gave him a cute little Christmas tie and took a picture of him with some holiday props. Absolutely amazing! Kelly gets down to business and gets the job done. Previously had a mobile groomer come out for my long coat German Shepherd and was not very impressed. Took him to Kelly and she didn't even complain about his knots or the foxtails stuck in his fur. He came out looking outstanding! Thank you so much, Kelly. I know that you work extremely hard. I highly recommend bringing your pets here for grooming. We brought my mom's dog in for grooming and we are so happy with the results. He had a lot of matting which required a lot of work to get rid of. They ended up having to shave him, but he is so much more comfortable! Here he is after excitedly throwing the couch cushions around I will be bringing him back for regular grooming. read more

We have been taking our dog, Farley to Sharp Dressed Pets for about 8 months. Kelly is awesome! She runs a very clean and organized grooming shop. And she's great at what she does! So knowledgeable about grooming techniques. The dogs that I have seen leaving the shop look amazing! We have been taking our little doggo to this grooming place for a year now and they never disappoint! Kelly has been the main and probably only groomer there. Booking with her is very easy since it is an online system. We get notified when they are about 20mins finished. The place is clean and organized. Very pet friendly and safe. Parking is easy. She gets along very well with all of her customers and pets. You are able to send messages to her and she responds fairly quick. We are always leaving satisfied with her work and she clearly loves her job. read more

Kelly did a GREAT job on my dogs. Her shop is very clean. There aren't cages so your dog gets one on one time. My dogs needed their nails done and instead of the dogs being super annoyed with clipping she used a Dremel, they were unsure at first but quickly realized it was much easier and faster. Such a great idea to make the dogs comfortable! Genius idea!!! She also puts protection over their ears when she blow dries them! Her attention to detail made me feel very comfortable leaving my fur babies in her hands! Highly recommend Kelly! read more

The nails are not cut, they torn off. There is blood on the dog from cuts. Haircut does not match as requested. Outwardly, the dog began to look like a rat. I asked and showed photos how it should have been done. The dog has enough hair to create a beautiful hairstyle. I waited 3.5 hours. From the street I heard my dog screaming as if he was being bullied. When I entered the groomer's studio, the dog was crying. I will never go there again! read more

Kelly is awesome! She just opened up her new shop right off the 67 and Bradly near where In and Out used to be. Make an appointment with her ASAP..her new shop is the best, you've got Starbucks literally 40ft away and near Home Depot and Costco is also right down the road so you can get all your shopping and errands done while she's doing your dog. So convenient! We took Sweetie in for her first ever professional groom and Kelly and her husband Kenny were literally awesome. Calm, quiet, and loving. Exactly what our Sweetie needed. Absolutely AMAZING! Kelly is one of the nicest people in the industry. Oddly enough I met her at MY job and when my groomer moved out of state I contacted Kelly. Now I wish I had found her years ago! She groomed three of my Persians and did a PHENOMENAL job. Sent me messages about how they were doing and gave me a glowing report on how well my babies were behaving. I picked them up and they look beautiful! I'm bringing all of my Persians to see her now she did a beautiful job. Plus she's the nicest person! I have a difficult to groom dog I've been told. He was kicked out of his last groomers and they couldn't finish his Grooming's when he went. I researched who could work with my dog and Kelly came highly recommended. Her new grooming shop is a calm atmosphere making it a better place for my dog and she kept me updated all through his groom. She said he was great just a bit wiggly but had no issues getting him fully groomed with a calm happy experience. Kelly is the only person that can handle my big dog. And she the only person he allows to touch him and clip his nails. We also took my In-laws husky there who is very temperamental and she handled her perfectly! She is truly a master at her craft and cares very much about her clients and their animals. Kelly is amazing! She grooms both of our Australian Shepherds, Hershey and Kona, and does an amazing job! Hershey is a very skittish dog and Kelly does an amazing job at keeping her comfortable and accommodating her needs. Kelly is super quick and efficient and it is so nice to have mobile grooming to come right to our door. The girls always come out clean and with an amazing cut! She does a great job at maintaining and cleaning up their double coats, trimming their nails, and helping us with our excessive shedding issue. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and ensuring pets are comfortable and well cared for while in our salon.

History

Established in 2018.

Sharp Dressed Pets Grooming started in October of 2018 when Kelly purchased her first mobile grooming van. Kelly took to the streets determined to make a name for herself as one of San Diego’s favorite mobile groomers. At the end of 2020 Kelly was so busy but her old van just couldn’t keep up with the driving and over all work load. In 2021 Kelly made the decision to purchase a brand new state of the art mobile grooming van! Things were finally looking up for Kelly, she had a great clientele and a beautiful new van to work out of! Unfortunately, living 45 minutes from anywhere, the miles stacked up and so did the fuel bill. Kelly was faced with yet another big decision, ride it out and hope for the best or pursue her life long dream of opening a shop and cut her losses with the mobile unit. Driven by her motivation and backed by her whole family, she made the jump and we are proud to say we are now opening our brand new brick and mortar on March 10th 2023!

Meet the Business Owner: Kelly L.

Kelly started as a young 18 year old girl at Petco, she was trained first as a bather and then as a groomer. While employed she also managed to get her dog training certification and taught several weekly training classes as well. She worked from 2011-2014 at Petco, when she left the corporate world she was armed with her; grooming certificate, as well as her dog training/behavioralist certificate. Kelly then started searching for the right private shop to enhance her skills and feed her hunger for knowledge in her field. Kelly eventually stumbled upon Paw Alley Pet grooming in 2016. Although a very long way from home, Kelly was learning everything she had wanted to know and more! Finally after three years, she decided she was prepared enough to go forward and commit on her own goals and dreams. From the moment I approached, she was on her phone texting and completely ignored me--even after I politely announced myself like any normal customer would when needing assistance. I understand that phones are sometimes used for business, but basic acknowledgment and professionalism should still be expected. When she finally looked up, she seemed visibly irritated and inconvenienced by my presence. Her attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unwelcoming. Because of this interaction, I felt very uncomfortable and ultimately discouraged from leaving my pet in her care. As a pet owner, trust is everything--and her behavior gave me serious concerns about the level of care and attention my dog, Sugar, would receive. This experience alone is enough for me to say I would never recommend this place. I did later speak with an older employee to express my concerns and strongly encouraged that Yuki be addressed regarding her professionalism and customer service. At the very least, she would benefit from basic customer service training.

I took my senior dog here and the staff is excellent! My dog has anxiety and a heart condition so they were able to give us the first slot and he was done in a little less than an hour and a half. The salon was clean and roomy, and my dog seemed more at ease here than he's been at other grooming places. I was really impressed how fast they got him done and really appreciate that they took his anxiety seriously. In the past, grooming salons have said they'd get him done as soon as they can because of his anxiety but then they would take hours. Kelly has always done a fantastic job with all our dogs. We have senior dogs with big thick coats and sensitive skin. She has a variety of shampoos, conditioners and de shedding products. She knows exactly what they need. They come out looking and feeling great. She always does a beautiful clip job nothing choppy like I've had in the past and no burns in my dogs like I've had before. I Moved to Jacumba in January from Santa Clarita in north LA county, had a mobile groomer for years for my Teacup Yorkie- and i was afraid I wouldn't be able to get another mobile groomer due to the area where we lived, inquired in our area Facebook page about a groomer and was told about Ranch Spa..love it, she comes out and grooms him and it takes about a hour , very clean and professional.Highly recommend her. You pay more then a regular groomer but you are not wasting the gas to go down in the San Diego area and having to wait etc- she comes right to your home. read more

We love Ranch Pet Spa Mobile Grooming! We get our two dogs groomed (German Shedder & Border Collie) and they always take good care of them. One of our dogs gets a little nervous. So much so that other places would get frustrated with him, but he seems to be doing well with them and the mobile grooming service to the house helps so he doesn't have the stress of going to a new place! Found this place on Facebook, and scheduling an appointment for my dog, Oreo, was really easy. They kept me updated on my upcoming appointment, which I appreciated. I was nervous at first since I had never taken my dog to a professional groomer, but the staff made both of us feel comfortable. I've been going to Sharp Dressed Pets for about a year now. Kelly (and her crew) always take great care of our family goldendoodle. Since she also has a poodle breed she knows exactly how to maintain one, which has not been our experience at other groomers. I've been taking my Bella to sharp dressed pets for over a year now. They are sweet as pie and can usually get me in within my time frame. Even when they are busy! I always use shelly! I have a husky who sings the whole time, which makes me feel pretty bad when I take her places but, Sharp dressed pets has never made me feel bad about the amount of hair she sheds or how loud she can be at times.
