My sister and I took our combined 6 dogs to Paws R Us for the first time over the past 2 days, based on a recommendation from a friend at the dog park, and all the great reviews. The minute I walked in for the first time, I could tell this place is special. There were no dogs crying or barking when the door opened. The 2 dogs being groomed were calm. Our dogs walked in back with the young man who works there a little reluctantly, but without a lot of drama. These lady groomers and their young man assistant have an aura about them that the doggie clients feel and are calmed by. Even when we picked up our babies, they were in the little playpens where the doggies who are done wait to be picked up, and they didn't scream and yelp and jump when they heard/saw us, as has been our experience with past groomers...even the groomers they loved before we moved here. Yes, their little tails and bodies were wagging, but no crazy noisy outbursts. They were happy and there was no trauma. These people truly work their magic with doggie temperaments. And the grooming results? Holy moly! Fluffy, beautiful dogs. Groomed exactly how we requested. One of my sister's dogs has never been groomed so well (the little red and white guy). They all smell so good and are so soft, and look like they are standing on tippy toes, lol. The cost was less than we've ever paid, with a better experience and better results. Outstanding groomers. MY first complaint review ever. I loved this place... took my dog there yesterday for his usual grooming sessions with a wonderful Asian lady there. When I dropped him off, she was no where to be seen. A lady and young man, who barely spoke English, were there. Anyhow, my dog was totally shaved, and they cut him in his lower belly area and he has been licking and running around with tail between his legs ever since. I am putting salve on his shaved belly!! He usually comes out looking so fine...looking gorgeous and was never shaved. He may have 1/4" of hair left on his body and legs. Wheaton Terrier. I am so upset with these guys and I called to complain because it was rushed getting him with another customer. On the phone, I could barely make out (because she could not speak English) that the lady that used to groom him has left and no longer working. This saddens me as I have been taking him there for 4 years and they could have told me when I dropped him. He looks so bad and whoever shaved him, knows shit about grooming a dog. Sooooo bad!!!! My friend's Wheaton got shaved last year when she took hers and probably the same groomer lady that destroyed my dog yesterday. Finding another groomer. read more

awful groomer! they gave me the wrong dog! if you run a grooming facility, one of your main priorities should be to make sure you give the owner the correct dog that they dropped off! If I were you, i'd make sure that the dog you pick up is really yours. Sadly my fur baby had to go through this. read more

I found this place after having a bad experience with my other grooming place. It's very far from my house but I thought I would try them since referred by a coworker. I am so glad I did! It's run by two very nice ladies and just by their gentleness towards all the dogs comforted me. When I went to pick up my fur baby, she was so calm and happy where before she was always so jumpy and shaking. They also did very good job grooming! I don't mind traveling far my fur babies! It was my first time taking my dog there one month ago. I used to go to Petco for years. I was really happy with the grooming result but I' Facing a problem after going there. My dog extremely scares when Sees scissors or comb in my hand that it was never happened before. I don't know how they behave with her that she scares a lot. In summer I usually used to groom her every 2 weeks by myself and it never happened. I believe they cut her in somewhere and it can be the reason of her fear. In addition, when we were picking her up, we saw that a dog ran out of his cage and the lady in there got him from his leash and raised him and through him in the cage. I think they only do that job to make money and have no humor and love for animals. I'm not going there any more. read more

After eight years I finally found a great groomer for my Bichon, Lala, that makes her look like a show dog. Even at twice the price at other groomers they never did as wonderful a job as Paws R Us. Love them!! They are so sweet and treat my puppies like family. read more

They did an amazing job on my long hared Pomeranian, and charge significantly less than all the groomers in this Anthem area . I highly recommend them. TRY THEM if you spend a lot on grooming. They do just as good of a job! read more

This place looks clean and comfortable for the dogs while they are waiting to be picked up. Their price is very reasonable because there's no fancy stuff like bows on girls' heads or handkerchiefs on boys necks, this is perfect for my liking, they come home clean cut and cute. I never hang around to see the length of hair of other dogs but my dogs' hair length is always shorter than I instructed, I think maybe their price is not high due to not much brushing time needed. Overall, I'm glad I found this place for my babies! read more

Just had my mini poodle and mini schnauzer groomed at Paws R Us and I am so pleased. I dropped them off at 8:30am and received a call at 11am that they were ready for pickup. I arrived and they were waiting in a play yard area and not in kennels, which I love. The grooming is done at tables in an open area right behind the front desk/half wall, which I also really liked. They only charge $35 per dog and they both look great. I highly recommend this establishment and am happy to have found our new grooming spot! read more

We've been bringing both our 2-year-old labrador retriever and golden doodle here for most of their lives. We've been consistently unhappy with their grooming jobs as of late, but voiced those concerns in hopes that it would get improved, but to no avail. Most recently, this incident is the reason why we are never coming back. We schedule an appointment for our labrador, and upon arrival, they tell us that we were late for our appointment (after we called twice within the past week to confirm the time) and that they can't take him because they think he's too hyper. Before making sure that we have a hold on his leash and with the door WIDE OPEN, the woman lets go of the leash with no concern at all about him getting loose. After she let go without properly handing him to us and we luckily were able to get a hold of his leash, she keeps repeating how hyper he is, as he's lying there patiently. Because of their poor scheduling, they ask us to bring him in a different time -- a time that was not convenient for us, but for them. There was no apologies for the inconvenience and that lack of care for our dog, and they still expected us to pay full price if we were to bring him back. Needless to say, we're done with this place. If you have a bigger dog, don't come here because they clearly can't handle it. read more
