Spotted this place while walking around after a beautiful pilates event at the Las Colinas. Nothing better than a warm latte, I ordered a matcha with almond milk, and I was a bit disappointed. There menu available inside the store vs the one online is no where to be found at the register. It was pretty dry and bland I hope this isn't what all there matcha taste like. The design that they had on top was super cute though! The service didn't stand out, I must have came on a slow day. It was very quiet, Im gonna give it another go and I will be back especially now knowing there a whole other side to their menu, but hopefully next time the experience will be better than my first. First time at this location and it was pretty solid. Matcha latte tasted good but a bit pricey at a little over $7 for a matcha latte with vanilla syrup. It was pretty packed when I went and I was lucky to get a comfy chair though others were waiting and looking around. I first discovered P&B in Fort Worth and was glad of an excuse to visit the Plano outpost this week for a meetup with a friend. The space is wide open with plenty of seat options from singles to 2 and 4 tops. The building's siting lets in lots of light - good but also challenging at times when you're trying to talk and have sun blazing in your eyes. Coffee is good; I actually had the chai latte and thought the presentation was lovely. They don't have non-fat milk but thankfully you can get 2% vs the whole milk that so many other shops are committed to (ick). read more

First time at this coffee shop! I didn't stay for long as I just picked up a drink to-go, but I really liked the ambiance in the morning. It was nice and quiet and it seemed like a really nice place to get work done. Since there weren't many people, I got my drink pretty quickly. I tried the Banana Foster specialty drink which I really liked, you could really taste the banana! It was a little more on the expensive end ($7 for a 16 oz I think) but I would get it again. The inside looked super trendy so we decided to give this coffee shop a try. They also have special coffees that we don't normally see anywhere else and it caught our interests. Heard so much good things about the Coffee shop. They offer seasonal latte flavors which I'm most interested of. They have the Banana Foster latte (coffee) but matcha cna be subbed if you're not into coffee. I also preferred their Spanish Latte. Both of the coffee I had ordered lived up to the hype. Since the cashier was also serving, I had a wait before placing my order. Watching her hand out a Turkey Pesto and a Breakfast Sammie, I decided to go with the former. To complement the sandwich, I ordered a Flat White. This is a coffee shop after all. I wish coffee shops would stop filling mugs to the brim. As I slowly walked with a very full cup to my table, the cashier passed me by to serve my food. Since she had not asked where I was seated, she placed my order at another customer's counter. By the time I reached my table, the customer had returned to herself seat and handed me my plate. The menu mentioned that zataar chips were included with the sandwich. However, what I received looked and crunched like kettle chips. There were no additional seasonings. Despite the minor flaws, the Turkey Pesto sandwich was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavor of the pesto sauce, and the slice of fontina cheese was the second best part. If there were any red peppers, they were scarce and hidden deep within the sandwich. The croissant itself was thick and crusty, which was a definite plus since the bread did not fall apart. I had forgotten to add any sweetener to my flat white when I ordered it. While getting napkins, I noticed that the only sweeteners available were stevia and unrefined sugar. Fortunately, the flat white did not require any sweetener. read more

Ambiance was very nice and it wasn't too loud. My friends and so were able to have a conversation without having to yell at each other. The service was great and they are very knowledgeable about the different coffees they serve. The avocado toast was really delicious and was different than what you would call your traditional avocado toast. It had of course avocado, tomato, feta, balsamic vinegar micro greens and I added the egg +$1. For the coffee I got their specialty drink of the month a banana foster with banana puree, caramel, cocoa, espresso and oat milk. The coffee was okay and little too sour for my taste. The coffee is not too strong. VIBES The place is slightly loud (but could just be the people that were sitting and visiting). The decorations are modern and there are plants decorating the place. Walked in immediately felt that coffee vibe. The barista greeted me and I placed an order for a croissant and an Expresso. As the shot was pulled i learned that they had a darker bean and they can pull that instead of the light bean. I of course accepted and the barista pulled an an amazing expresso: dark, thick, aromatic with flavors of brown sugar, hint of citrus and the smokiness from the bean that was not dry nor flat. Super excited to see this coffee shop near me! I've been to the location in Irving and love it. Since it was over 100 deg, I got an iced chai and it came with lots of ice and a sprinkle on top. I thought to enjoy it with a slice of almond cake. The chai was light and icy just what I needed in the middle of the day to fuel my afternoon. The almond cake was dry with sandy texture. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, (maybe?) I know I've had yummy baked goods before so I will have to try something different next time! For two coffees and two menu items, the total was $40 before tip. I could get behind that high cost if the coffee was excellent and we were served tasty, decently portioned menu items. Unfortunately, the coffee didn't wow and the food was disappointing for many reasons. Service was good, coffee came out after about 5min and the food took 15min. If you want a place to sit down with a coffee and maybe a bakery item, I think this place would be a good atmosphere for that.. In every other situation, I am skipping and driving to Starbucks. I really hope they make some tweaks to offer slightly more traditional menu option with more robust portions for the next time we try this coffee shop. read more

The coffee here is delicious! It is amazingly smooth and just the right temperature. This is a pretty popular coffee place. However, there is enough room to find a seat and work. It is definitely noisier than most so avoid zoom meetings. The ambience and music playlist are great to get you in worker bee mode. read more

After visiting their other location in Irving, I was thrilled to visit and went to get my afternoon latte on a cloudy icky Friday. Did not expect I'd come out empty handed and would have to post a 1 star review and then high tail it to Eiland to get caffeinated. Not sure what was going on. The lack of service made me think it was a self ordering kiosk. I actually tried to tap my card and the screen and the barista still didn't turn to tell me anything. After patiently waiting for a few minutes, few minutes in I started to stare at the barista hoping it'd get his attention. He continued to speak to another customer. Finally an employee came from the back, went straight to the sink not making eye contact. Then with me staring he looks over and tells me he'd be with me in a minute...runs to the back then comes out with a tub of yogurt and continues to not make eye contact. In my mind, if it takes 10 minutes to order, I couldn't even imagine how long it would've taken me to get my latte! I honestly don't see myself coming back for another chance, there are just too many amazing craft coffee places near by (Eiland, 1418, Black Rifle, Coffee Del Rey, Lemma). I genuinely wish them well in their business, venue looked beautiful and great location. read more

I'm unfortunately downgrading my review based on the last few visits. I have been a regular customer. Today was particularly disappointing. A growing theme has been bakery items running out in the morning, and some favorite menu items being removed and a considerable price increase. Another problem is limited table space and sometimes not having a place to sit, so given the considerable drive to visit and the hit-and-miss experiences as of late, this sadly is no longer my go-to coffee shop. I may still visit, but with lower expectations. Unfortunately, I can neither recommend Pax & Beneficia because they have lost me as a customer due to poor customer service. During my last visit, there were again no bakery items available, and we asked the person at the counter if there might be more bakery items in the back. They said "No". Fast-forward 30 minutes later, and new bakery items were being set up, so I asked the same person what happened. He simply stated he didn't realize there were more items, so in effect, he didn't need to be bothered looking for more bakery items when we inquired about it. This is a customer service FAIL. The location was not busy, the employee simply didn't want to be bothered to look for more bakery items. As you can imagine, this was very disappointing customer service and I've sworn off returning to this establishment. It seems other reviewers have noted the employees act like they don't want to be bothered with customer service, so I'm providing them the solution they are looking for by no longer frequenting their establishment. Too many other options out there with acceptable customer service. read more

Hold up, wait a minute...my coffee senses are tingling. Pax & Beneficia has been on my list of coffee shops to try for a *while* now (at least a year), and I'm so glad I finally got around to checking this spot out. When you walk in, the space feels light and airy as there are big windows letting light into the space, and modern lights hanging from the ceiling. The tile wall that has a lit up sign of their name is a beautiful touch, and there are tables for 2 sprawled out across the space (on top of 4 bar stools along the windowsill for folks wanting to peer out the window while they chat/ work). I was greeted by one of the staff when I came in, and she was kind enough to walk me through some of the options that I had in mind for my order (a chai, and a smoothie). The smoothie sounded *divine* (their take on a mango lassie), but I ended up going with the chai as that's usually a safe bet. The. Chai. Was. DELICIOUS!!! It looked as though they have a diverse spread of unique options on their menu, and I learned that they make a lot of syrups in house and had recently changed their chai recipe to (I believe) an in-house blend for their chai. The drink was robust / flavorful / spicy but also had sweet undertones to it. I can only imagine how yummy some of the other drinks combinations may be. The sound level inside was moderate, as there were a few people talking and others working quietly on their computers so this spot appears to be suitable as either a place to work or a meet-up spot for a small group or 1:1 hangout. The one critique I have is that the drink I ordered was a little steep in price for me ($6.50 for a small chai with oat milk added in), so I would probably return only to treat myself occasionally vs. making this a regular coffee stop.
