What a charming cafe that serves sandwiches, specialty coffees, and baked goods. The cafe is usually packed full of customers. But, they have outside seating, so we took advantage of that. We ordered an assortment of baked goods: homemade pop tarts, a savory bacon and cheese scone, olive oil and lemon cake with vanilla icing, and a cheese danish. Service was great. There was a short line and we were waited on by a friendly and attentive staff member. The inside of the store is packed with food, drinks, and baked goods. There are also frozen ice cream sandwiches which are served inside of macarons. There is a wall of drinks and large counters of baked goods. We loved our cakes, scones, pop tarts, and danish. Each was delicious in its own right and flaky golden brown. The flavors popped and we had a hard time leaving some to bring home. This is a definite must try cafe. I can't wait to go back. This coffee place is next level good! Skip the Starbucks and check this place out. It's got a drive thru so no excuses lol It's got a good variety of different drinks and flavors. The drinks looked so good I had to get two lol they also have a good selection of sandwiches and food that is made to order. I got the Biscoff Lattes and it tasted like the Biscoff cookie in coffee form. Perfect blend of that Biscoff cookie flavor with nodes of espresso. I also got the Twix latte since Twix is my favorite candy. I thought this was pretty good. It like a blend of a chocolate caramel latte. They have a lot of unique options in terms of drinks. I went with a blueberry matcha . Matcha flavor wasn't really there for me and the blueberry flavor is great just really really sweet. Overall the drink is super sweet. I also got a poptart homemade which was solid just also very sugary haha. The bagels are from a very popular bagel place so I would come back and try the bagels! Amazing drinks, service, and establishment! There's some seating inside, and it can get really popular, so if you're wanting a table, plan for couple extra minutes! There are also outdoor picnic-style tables in the parking lot area, and there is some parking. Since it's in downtown Plano, everything is really walkable so even if it is packed, there's usually parking not too far away! Service was amazing and everyone was really friendly! The table space felt a bit small for more than one person to work, and depending on the day, it can get pretty busy, making the space feel crowded. Stopped by on a whim and I am so glad we did! Before we ever got out of the car we were greeted by a gentleman who was working on deliveries (I assume he's management or owner). While we ordered as first timers we were kindly helped and the staff all around were so comforting and easy going! Preston's is one of those places everyone smiles and is happy to be there and I think it fuels the cafe! The environment alone will have me going back. Honestly every time I go thinking the matcha will be better, it's always somehow the same let down. Don't get me wrong, the overall food and drinks is good, slightly above average. But for the pricing, there's other spots in east Plano I'd go to. A lot of coffee influencers like this place and to each their own. Personally the matcha lates and espresso lates always seem to be too sweet. I prefer the food here over the drinks but $10-$14 for a medium sized sandwich is also kind of criminal. Service is fine, no issues with the staff. It's definitely not a place come to work remotely at or to read a book or anything like that. It's a come and go experience. I wish I could I give 3.5 stars bc 3 is probably too low and 4 is too high. 7/10. read more

I loved the ambiance here. It has a nice vibe and great atmosphere. The service was also really nice and the workers gave us wonderful recommendations. The chicken chipotle was so good and I definitely recommend that to anyone who likes spicy food. The bagel sandwich was kind of boring and plain but that was kind of expected. We got sausage with it but next time we'll definitely try other bagel sandwiches. The bagel bread itself was delicious though. I have been wanting to try Preston's for awhile now but every time I make my way over, they are so busy! Which is a good sign, admittedly. Finally, today I took a late lunch break and just so happened to head towards the cafe and found it was the perfect time (just after 3.) I went through their drive thru which is a lil precarious for a girly in a mid-size SUV, but we survived and will do it again, lol. I ordered a frozen matcha (20oz) and the Tuscan Turkey sandwich without onions and omg yum!!! I was very happy with the sandwich and was especially pleased by the matcha!! They use a really good grade of matcha and do not short you on it either, which I very much appreciate. Gimme all that good good green powder. The sandwich was very tasty--like the honey mustard was soooo good I might need to find out where thy get it or how they make it--and I am definitely going to be back. Like literally this morning because I need more matcha! Highly recommend for a tasty, mid-priced lunch. The sandwich came with tasty chips and was prepared fresh, as was my drink. Loved this matcha! I got the pink blossom and my friend got the ube matcha, both were really well made. The pink blossom was a raspberry cold foam, I think, but so worth it. The space is cute, service was efficient (faster than expected). Would love if they offered a 12 oz, but the 16 oz is reasonably priced for the quality and quantity you get. Will be back! read more

This is my second time here. My first visit, I had their Biscoff Cookie Latter. It was a real treat. Sweet, creamy and enjoyable. This time around I had their Ube Matcha. This might be one of the better matcha drinks I've had. Well blended it was creamier due to the ube on top, a grassy subtle notes which wasn't so strong, and very smooth on texture. It was delectable. I'm glad I ordered a large size for this one. I believe they have a few other flavor additions for their matcha and I can't wait to try those next on my next visit. read more

I love coming here for their pink blossom matcha! It's one of the best sweet cold foams that I've had in the DFW area. Last time I also tried their chicken Caesar wrap, which was great. I liked that it came with a little bag of chips. The drive thru is a little bumpy so I'd be careful turning that corner. It can take a while too if people order food, so if you're in a rush, I'd go inside to order. I'll definitely be back to try their other sandwiches. read more

There's indoor seating, a large parking lot, and a drive-through for added convenience. With so many coffee flavors to choose from, it was hard to decide. They do have some outside seating which would be nice when the weather is not too hot. I got the plano heat bagel sandwich and it was very tasty. They serve shug's bagel which has the best chew and the habanero hot pepper bacon jam that they put in it just takes this breakfast bagel sandwich to the next level. I know they've also been blowing up on social media for their matcha, so I tried out their raspberry matcha and I wasn't really a fan. It was an extremely sweet drink. If i were to order it again I would've probably tried to see if they can decrease the sweetness. A local business! Cute little Asian owned cafe located in the downtown Plano area. Since it's a small cafe, it filled up pretty quickly but thankfully we got there before the rush! You order up at the counter and sit wherever there's space. They had a drink menu with specialty drinks that change during different seasons. I got the ube (foam) matcha which had a very strong ube and matcha flavor, the drink itself was $7 and it was well worth it. Someone got the Plano heat breakfast sandwich that was very yummy with the habanero bacon jam. The jam definitely made it on the sweeter side, so keep that in mind if you don't like sweet sandwiches. Wonderful customer service from start to finish! You can tell the owners really care about their business and aren't there to just serve another drink. They were warm and inviting. Both matchas were delicious and were strong. The biscoff latte was so strong, I had to finish the rest the following morning. Overall great experience and would come again! I have had this placed saved for a while now and I finally had time to come! I have seen really good reviews so I was interested to see what this place was about! When I first got here, I noticed that the parking lot had a good amount of spaces but also had a drive thru for those busier times of the day! When I walked in, I was admiring the cute little space I loved all the green and pastries they had on display. I saw the ube matcha was really polular but I ended up getting an iced blueberry matcha latte and "the preston" sandwich. The staff was super nice when I was ordering and my only mistake was in getting a small instead of the large for my matcha. I have yet to find a place that serves good matcha (usually it's too grainy, not enough matcha, or the color is not right). However, that changed today! The blueberry does not overpower the matcha at all and it was SO good!! I wish I got a large, I was trying not to drink the whole thing in 30 seconds. Very good matcha flavor, color, and the blueberry compliments the matcha very well. The Preston sandwich was also very good!! It had a lot of my favorite things all in one; turkey, arugula, garlic aioli, sun dried tomatoes, red onion, avocado, and mustard. I ate half and saved the other half for my work lunch the next day! I also liked that they had kettle cooked chips on the side. I am not sure if they are made in house but they are still really good regardless! I did have to wait around 15 min, I think they forgot about me lol but I believe one of the owners came to check on me and then made sure I got my food (: They also gave me a PB&J macaron for waiting which was sweet of them. The macaron was really good too! Overall, I am really pleased with my first visit and I can't wait to come back for the blueberry matcha, preston sandwich, and to try more things on the menu! My friends and I tried Preston's Cafe yesterday around noon and it was packed. This is a fairly small cafe with tables inside and outside. The parking here is limited but they also have a drive thru. All of the tables were full when we got there so we sat outside for a while (I do not recommend doing that in the summer). I tried their strawberry rose matcha made with oat milk and it was very sweet. I saw that they sell other items like Shug's Bagels here which I am eager to try next time I visit. I am not a huge fan of overly sweet drinks but think I will try their other drinks there next time. This seems like a nice place to hang out with a friend but probably not a group due to the size of the cafe. Drive thru might be your best bet during peak hours. read more

It's a perfect 10!! On a Saturday morning I ordered a raspberry white chocolate iced coffee and the Wildfire panini. My panini was made with care and cooked to perfection. It packed a good smoky flavor which I love. And the chicken breast was thinly sliced, piled high, and extra juicy. I'm so impressed by how expansive the sandwich menu is. It's a great reason to keep coming back. I bet they're all tasty Portions were generous. It's very small and very limited seating and in the summer it's hot inside bc it's all windows but they have a drive thru! Lox bagel sandwiche- shugs bagel which as someone who lived next to shugs, I appreciated that. I didn't get it with the cucumber bc it was a to go order but I'd definitely order again! The line moved quickly and the staff was on it - food was quick and service was great. Bagels from Schug's which is always yummy. I got the Plano Heat on an everything bagel. the habanero pepper bacon jam was more sweet than heat but still delicious. My partner got a lox bagel, classic and not as steep of prices as some other shops we've been to. Staff was accommodating for iced ube latte (instead of matcha) but wasn't my favorite. My eyes widened when I tried my drink and I literally went catatonic for 10 minutes as I finished. Ive had great matcha in LA but never one that tasted like this. We stopped in after seeing the raving reviews of this place. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the cafe was Asian-owned. The interior decor reminds me of small European cafes, with big, bright windows that let in lots of natural light. We ordered an iced latte with oat milk and their drip coffee, which we were told was made from "Transmitter" coffee beans from a local roaster in Lewisville. The latte was tasty and offered a caffeine kick. I'm undecided about the drip coffee, as it initially tasted burnt and then sour. The coffee was fresh, but it tasted slightly under-extracted. We also ordered a breakfast croissant and a breakfast bagel sandwich, which were delicious. We could see the super friendly cook making our food with care. The cook provided excellent service, going out of his way to give me a knife to cut into my sandwich after seeing me try to figure out how to eat it. The cafe started to get busy about half an hour after we arrived, but we never felt pressured to leave. We'd love to go back to try some of their other food and drinks! read more

Cons: We got an iced ube matcha, the ube part was really good but there wasn't enough ice so the matcha was a bit warm and not that good for an iced drink on a hot day which made the whole drink taste off. I saw the pic of the blueberry pancake latte and ordered it as well but it didn't look anything like the photo? There wasnt any blueberry colorful syrup as previously pictured in a previous review and wasn't very good either. Well Preston's Cafe is located in the idyllic downtown Plano, a quaint shop offering absolutely delicious sandwiches and excellent coffee. I had their special of the day turkey pastrami which was a perfect sandwich with sauerkraut and roasted turkey with the appropriate thickness. The sauerkraut did not make the bread soggy and the well toasted sandwich was comforting on a fall day. My husband had Tuscan turkey which was equally good! Oh how I miss having coffee in gigantic cups and the cafe fulfilled my desire by serving delicious coffee in one of those cups. Service was phenomenal! Everybody was so welcoming and cordial.
