They are literally thieves. Uses the worst brands and I think even then dilutes the brands with water or homemade stuff. I went there to get my hair colored. The color was dripping all over my shirt and after after shampooing and drying my hair no one would think that it is freshly colored. The roots are white. Worst use of $45 (with tips). I am never setting my foot there again. Will try others. I am royally pissed!!! read more

Go in, say what you need, wait patiently until you are summoned, get your unwanted hair accurately ripped out of their pores, pay, and go feeling like a warrior. After having a horrible eyebrow/lip waxing experience I decided to try threading. I've been going to this location for over a decade and they consistently do an excellent job. I always go to one woman named Aisha (spelling?). She makes my eyebrows even and gives them a natural shape which is why I only go to her. I also get my upper lip done and a little bit of my chin for a total cost of $7 !!!!!! You really can't beat the prices here. There is another Payal up in Parsippany and they charge almost 3 times as much!! RIDICULOUS especially since I'm consistent with grooming upkeep and would get threaded, on average, once every 2 weeks. IT ADDS UP!! If it's packed, the wait is still not too long since there are about 4-5 people working there on a daily basis. There's a credit card fee of 55 cents so I recommend bringing cash. (UNLESS YOU BALLER LIKE THAT) LOL! Small private parking lot in the back with a narrow entrance and left blind side, so enter with caution because you might crash head on with someone leaving. read more

I was in the vicinity to buy grocery when it struck me that it would be a good neighborhood to get my eyebrows threaded. I assume they have hired a chair in the huge space where all salon owners work under one roof. The lady who did my eyebrows was very quick, the job was painless though I had to tell her a few times to clean up extra hair on my eyebrows every now and then. So you have to be careful coz they look for quick rollovers as they have people waiting. If you expect professional attention, this is not your spot. The lady was on facetime when I was on the chair talking to people. They ask for $5 and whatever tip you would add, so its not too much you can ask for. Overall it was alright. No skin tearing is all I am concerned and she did it right, so it was great in that way! P.S This place has been shifted to another location 5 mins drive away from the address mentioned, besides Sarvanna Bhavan. read more

Never again. First of all they charge you an extra fee for using a credit card, which is annoying. Also, they really don't listen to what you ask for and kinda just do what they want to do. I understand that this isn't the fanciest of places but they should at least have some sort of consideration and not just give everyone the same haircut. I've been coming here for 10 years and haven't left unhappy since! I used to be loyal to one of the threaders until she passed away (sorry, downer! :( ) so I had to force myself to try someone new. She didn't disappoint, as with the other two threaders I've had. Love this place. No frills. You walk in, they stare, you point at your eyebrows and if one of the ladies is free she automatically takes you and off she goes! Price wise it is SUPER inexpensive. For eyebrows+upper lip your total cost comes out to $6-$7 unlike the mall which ... I don't even know how much they charge cause I know it'd be more expensive. read more

The most horrible experience ever in threading my eyebrows, upper lip and chin. I went there to get my makeup & hair done, when i made the apt. they gave me quote for $80, when it was the day of, they said $85, they lied ! makeup brushes were filthy, makeup sponge was very dirty, over used, zero for customer service. rude, unprofessional most of the time, they will leave you while working on you to talk to another new customer, no receptionist. they will also talk about you in their gujrati language to other colleagues, i had my eyes closed when she was doing my makeup, and the manager started to yell at the staff, like clean the floor, zero relaxation at this salon, very tense feeling when employees argue very loudly, at each other, then they will defend themselves, "well, if dont keep the floor clean the manager Will yell at us" so, the manager cannot speak in a calm professional voice to clean up? i was looking for a relaxing time, but i cam back with my blood pressure high ! i felt suffocated by all the yelling back and forth, and bickering. i wish i could give them zero stars, never go here, they will ruin your day off ! read more

My sister and I went in yesterday to get our brows and upper lip done. Since we are travelling, we had to try a new salon and that was perhaps our biggest mistake. While the staff was friendly and prices were reasonable, the quality of the service provided was absolutely horrid. I fillies in my brows and told her specifically to clean the remainder hair strands and she entirely disregarded what I said and thinned my brows to the way she liked. Granted, threading and waxing hurt based on your hair growth, but she was so rough with the thread it left cuts on both my sister and me. Moreover, the quality of wax she used was very poor and ur ripped and pulled out skin. The aftercare of waxing was not conducted properly, leaving red, irritated skin. And the worst of all, was when she waxed my sisters eyebrows and it left brown bruises on her eyelid. BRUISES. It's been two days and the entire area between her brow and eyelid (brow bone) is still in so much pain. Would not recommend this place, I understand that you are a professional and have experience, but listening to your customer is vital for a smooth transaction for both the service provider and customer. read more

i went with my friend who wanted to get her hair cut and eyebrows done and she got everything done by Smitha who was absolutely amazing at her job and super sweet. However, while my friend was paying, this lady started commenting on my friend's body type and weight in Gujarati to her coworkers where they all laughed and made fun of my friend who had no clue what was going on. Smitha is the only one who can do her job correctly however it is unfortunate of how many unprofessional, rude, body shaming people work there. Smitha, however, deserves a pay raise for being the only one with good work ethic and professionalism. she finished all of my friends work in less than 20 minutes and my friend walked out looking like a model. so basically fuck everyone in this place except Smitha read more

I went for threading there. The lady who did my eyebrows was really messed up. Each eyebrows had a different shape and she took the three fourth of hair from one side. The lady name is meena(i think). My advice is don't take a chance do eyebrow threading from her. read more

Switched over to this location after leaving the salon two doors down. I used to come to this location years ago and I'm happy to see they've updated the inside. -I've seen my mom come to get a haircut here (she's a brave woman). I would never get a haircut here because I don't think they would understand some of the trending cuts such as an asymmetrical bob. If you have a simple haircut or just want a trim, you can try your luck. -I come here for threading because they're cheap and it's probably the one area where they're pretty good. I don't have a go-to person when I come in so I am very clear with my directions of what I expect. Double-check. Ask them to make corrections if need be. -Waxing is questionable because they use the same wax and spatula for every customer. Let's skip the waxing. The best part of this location is that they have their own parking lot behind the store. Otherwise you can scavenge for street parking or park in the Free Parking Lot just around the corner. read more

I've been here many times over the past decade. Their threading services are fine, the service is okay, nothing spectacular. My parents like getting their hair cut here too, mostly because the prices are fairly cheap. I think the best thing about this salon is that it's in the same mini-mall as an Indian grocery store and South Indian restaurant. So you can get a bunch of errands done at this one place. read more

Worst place for threading!! I have been here three-four times trying REALLY hard to walk out of here happy, and last night was the last draw. I walked out of there looking like nothing was done. When I told the woman you left hair all over, she said she is not able to get all the hair. WHAT??!!!! You are in a threading salon, a professional threader and you can't fully and properly thread my brows??? She also didn't bother to touch the area between my brows because apparently she has a 30 second rule to get people out of her chair like all the other girls there. They spend no time with you, no questions asked, threading horrible, waxing horrible, and very unprofessional. None of the girls in there have fully satisfied my visit. Will never go back! read more

I go here regularly. I ask for Tara. I like her facials the best and she gives a sort of mini back massage which feels great. Unfortunately she doesnt cut hair. This is not the best salon i have been to but it sure is the least expensive. Pros: Very inexpensive Except for peak hours like saturday evenings, the waiting time is tolerable. Cons: Not very clean, but I wont say its dirty either. Sort of OK. Not a very professional environment. Had a horrible experience. the people there are least customer friendly. I was praying all the time when she did my eye brows as she was in constant argument with her co-stylist about some stupid random personal topic of theirs. Gave least importance to my needs or what I wanted. The stylist screwed my hair. She did not even listen to what I wanted and cut my hair the way she wanted. She did it all in 5 mins. That was my fastest and my most stupidest haircut. I now have to wait for a few months for my hair to grow back to normalcy. This is my first and last time with the stylists here! They have horrible customer service. I called and made an appointment for mehendi for two people and when I got there one of the women just said ok and took us. I asked four times if she had any patterns or pictures of her work and her answer was always the same, no. She then asked if we had any pictures and when we found some on our phones she just said ok again. After the 5th request she took out a book and said it would look something like that. She took my friend first, who happened to be white, and insisted she start and if she didn't like it could change her mind. As she did her hand, it was sloppy, and she had to refill her cone, she came back and finished and then asked if it was ok or she wanted to wipe it off. At that point it would have been too late because it had already started to set. Another woman took me much later and quoted me a different price for the same amount of work because she was going to do it "neater." When we initially walked in the original woman took us but there were three or four other ladies working. We assumed she was the only one so I went to another store to run an errand and when I came back two other customers including my friend were getting theirs done. I watched them quote people different prices as if they were making things up as they went along. Their work was sloppy and I won't be going back there for anything. WOW FINALLY a salon w/ reliable staff. my personal favorite is Girishama she works there Mon-Fri and NEVER lets me down. She gives me exactly what I ask for whether it may be a clean up or thick arch she's got it down to a science. My eyebrows always come out gorgeous.Afterwards she does a mini massage in the brow area it's so relaxing. I have friends who travel almost an hr to see her faithfully every two weeks. read more

Worst salon to go to please avoid the staff is super rude and will get angry if you ask any questions or ask for a minor touch up. I had been getting waxed and threaded for many years now and couldn't get the shape correct. My poor eyebrows have been stripped many times to almost nothing :( Then my sister in law told me to check out this place and ask for Asha. So at that point my eye brows were so bad I had nothing to lose, so I went in and asked for Asha. To my amazement and months later I have full functioning eyebrows with a perfect shape and I get nothing but compliments on them now :) Thank you so much!! read more

This is the WORST place I've ever been to. These people completely threaded off my whole eyebrows when all i asked for was a small clean up. After months of growing out my eyebrows, they were thick and nice and now after the terrible threader messed up my eyebrows, they are a super thin line. I usually avoid this place and today I was desperate since my usual lady wasn't available. I just got my arms waxed and the lady that did it left hair on the backside of my arm. She did it several times and I kept pointing out the hairs that she left. Then before I had a chance to inspect the final wax, she greased up my arms and left to go sit! I told her she still left some and since she already greased up my arm, she said she'd thread it off! Now that I'm home, I notice even more hairs she left! Now I'm not talking little strays, I mean a patch of light hairs on my back wrist. Had she not been in a rush to just sit and let me look at it, I could have avoided this. Yes this place is cheap but so is their work. The place wasn't even packed yet she acted like she was in such a rush...again to just sit on her chair!! I used to come here all the time and eventually left cuz of mediocre work like this and today I am reminded that even in times of desperation, do not come here!!
