Home made ice cream, artisanal pastries, and fresh brewed coffee plus friendly staff. Minus 1 star for opening late on a Saturday. Love this place nonetheless.

We were having lunch 2 doors down and saw this place and decided to give it a try since we wanted some ice cream. I ended up getting a sorbet. It was apricot honey. I tried this since it was something different than what I have had. It was nice and tasted exactly like apricots and honey! 1 scoop went a long way. The young lady who was working there was friendly and gave us suggestions on places to stop at in Fort Bragg. This was very nice of her!

On the inevitable drive back on Hwy 128 from Mendocino to the Bay Area, the timing of Boonville on your itinerary could be problematic if you started with a big breakfast in Mendocino. Jamie W. and I never feel famished enough to make a genuine dining stop in Boonville preferring to move on and have those hairpin turns behind us. Since we tried the Mosswood Market Cafe a couple of years ago, we noticed that Boonville has been booming as a tourist magnet with yuppified eateries lining the road. Even though we weren't that hungry, who doesn't have a little room for ice cream? Paysanne is a compact little shop which looks like a French country gift shop. They serve up various artisan ice cream from Three Twins and Straus Family Creamery in old-fashioned sundae goblets. There were probably a dozen flavors in all which you can sample to your heart's delight. Just ask the young San Francisco couple in front of us who attempted to do just that. It's just ice cream, you entitled morons. I ordered a $3.50 scoop of the Straus Raspberry (see photo), which was just the sweet refresher I needed before heading out on the open road. So take a break from your brakes, sit a spell in a bucolic small town, and lick up a scoop. ICE CREAM - 4 stars...good quality ice cream AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...the French countryside in the boonies SERVICE - 3 stars...she scoops with dexterity TOTAL - 4 stars...a worthwhile stop if you're not hungry enough for a meal

The lady that was working here was as sweet as the ice cream!! Cute little place, good ice cream, coffee, and they even have homemade meringues and caramels too! The place is pretty small but that's part of the appeal I think.

However, we chose to sit in the outdoor area near the entrance. I ordered an Iced Horchata Latte with an extra shot of espresso - delicious, extra shot definitely needed! For food, I chose the Goat Cheese and Tomato Omelette, which was pretty tasty. However, everything it came with was extremely mediocre. The "toast" was barely buttered sliced bread, and the potatoes came as massive wedges that didn't have much flavor. Service was friendly and decently quick!

My partner and I are camping at Hendy Woods and we originally stopped by for a quick coffee. We saw them making these huge breakfast burritos in the kitchen and they looked SO good that we made a mental note to stop by again before we left the next day. I am so happy we did because it was DELICIOUS - hot, fresh ingredients, gooey cheese, toasted tortilla, spicy flavorful salsa on the side. Burrito heaven. The items behind the glass at the deli counter looked amazing as well. I saw tres leches, giant quesadillas, hand pies, cookies, carrot cake - yummm. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. I recommend this little deli to anyone looking for a quick bite of breakfast or lunch :)

Great for kids, even the younger kids won't complain about the walk and the animals are exciting for them. Following the farm tour was the wine and cheese tasting, which was excellent of course. There are many great wineries in this area and the wine was good, but the specialty is on the cheese. The cheese was amazing! They offer a limited food menu (think heavy snacks or appetizers rather than a full meal) and the food was also excellent. Plenty of space for the kids to run around. At my next visit I'm bringing an ice cooler so that we can take cheese to-go for home enjoyment. Overall this is a delightful and kid-friendly wine and cheese tasting and I look forward to my next visit.

When walking in I was impressed by all the cheese options and grab and go cold case section. In addition, they have a kitchen on site and make some tasty looking fixings. We didn't try any of the food besides some cheese samples but next visit trying the food is a must!  They offer a wine and cheese pairing for $10 each. We opted for just the wine tasting, which included 10 wines and a great variety of whites, rose and reds. The Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir's were my favorites. Honestly, all the wine was really good though!  They have a tasting room bar located inside as well as outside. They have plenty of seating outdoors overlooking the Anderson Valley hills. It's such a beautiful view and very peaceful!  The staff was very warm, welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines and property. I can't wait for a future visit!
