I know this place has been around for a long while but I was not impressed at all. My husband's chicken cheesesteak was a disaster. He asked for tomato, mayo, raw onion and hot peppers. Well, this was no tender chicken and melty cheese sandwich. It was a few dry chunks of chicken, very little semi-melted american cheese, red onion and hot peppers. No tomato, no mayo. I had to get up and ask for mayo just so it wouldn't be so dry. He said he liked the fries that came with it. My stuffed shells were fair and advertised as coming with a side salad and bread but I only was given the salad. The salad had fresh ingredients but was served on a small plate which made it hard to eat because everything kept sliding off. The menu boards are a little confusing because there are so many. They have paper menus on the counter which in hindsight, offered more information about the menu items. So if you go, refer to the printed menu before you order. read more

Here is a very nice Italian restaurant we frequent from time to time. The Food is good, and the service is great and timely. We enjoy Italian food and used to visit Little Italy on a regular basis. Now, when visiting Guinness, we'll stop by Pazani afterwards, in Howard County (HoCo), since it isn't far from the brewery. It's easy to get to from Guinness: left onto Washington Blvd. (Route One-South to HoCo); make a right on Montgomery Road, which morphs into Marshalee Drive. The restaurant is located in the Lyndwood Shopping Center, on your left, prior to coming to Giant Foods store. Good place for a quick slice. The person at the counter was less than excited to be there and wasn't very friendly, but wasn't rude either. The location is a bit hidden around the back side of the Giant and the rest of the stores in the strip mall. I came in on a week night to get Carryout. I ordered a Pannini Tucany and Onion Rings. I was greeted right away. The total was $18, which I thought was reasonable. The only negative was that my food took 35 minutes, which my expectation was more like 20 minutes. I just have to say the Pannini exceeded my expecations, it was different and it was delicious! I went there tonight for dinner and was fairly well satisfied. I selected eggplant Parmesan, which was served hot and pretty tasty. It's the type of restaurant where you walk in and order your dish and then sit down in your dish is brought to you. You are also responsible for getting your drink. I just got a glass of water. The food was fairly good, nothing special, either good or bad. I did notice, however, that they took a decent amount of time to prepare the dish. A casual mom and pop Italian place with decent food for reasonable prices. Started with the garlic knots which were very doughy and a bit dry. Though they weren't anything special, the marinara dipping sauce they came with definitely had a spicy kick, which I enjoyed. The Margherita pizza came with Parmesan on it which I thought was offputting. However the fresh mozzarella was amazing! I would definitely come back for this MINUS the Parmesan which made it taste a bit sour. The cheese pizza was flavorful and simple. The best part about all the pizzas here is the crust integrity. No falling apart-soggy-messy crust here people! To top it off, they also sell pizza by the slice but a medium cheese pizza for $10 and a large pizza for $12 is reasonable and generous. Horrible experience the last two times we have been in this restaurant. Rude and nasty person behind the counter changes a 3.5% service charge for using a credit card, does not put any sauce on a meatball sub but charges for extra sauce and charges if you get more than one drink refill. In addition, the pizza has gone downhill and is just a greasy mess that will hurt your stomach. Stay far, far away from this place and give any other italian place, your hard earned money. The staff rudeness is beyond anything that I have ever experienced, and I will never give this establishment another dime! In addition, this place had NO heat for the entire winter and tried to heat the dining with portable heaters and dangerous extension cords throughout the diner area. Definitlely illegal and a health code violation! I honestly can't state how poor and rude the service is and I beg everyone to try a different italian/pizza place. While hanging with my college roommate, who lives in Elkridge, I had the chance to try some take-out from Pazani... I will start with what I love: THE GARLIC KNOTS!! The knots were super garlicy and even had some red pepper flakes on them. Additionally, they came with a big ol' container of spicy red sauce for dipping. I really loved them and couldn't get enough of 'em. Unfortunately the mozzarella triangles were pretty pathetic. The breading was very thick and came off the cheese easily. Additionally, they were clearly not fried very well. They definitely needed more time in the fryer, but I'm not sure if that would have solved the over-breading issue. The pizza was OK. It was a little greasy and the crust was a little floppier than I'd like, but hey, this is Maryland, not NYC. Overall, this was alright. Do yourself a favor and definitely order the knots. read more

Very sad how much this place has gone downhill since it opened 15 years ago. Original owner was from Italy and food was fabulous. Now any dish you order with chicken (piccata, marsala etc) the chicken is the same dry grilled chicken pieces that taste like they used frozen grilled chicken pieces. Terrible experience! My husband and I have been getting pizza from here for over three years now. The quality of of the pizza has since went down hill. It taste like greasy, flavorless pizza. It was so bad last night that we had to trash both pizza's we brought for the Monday Special. We ordered a Caesar salad and a Sicilian with pepperoni and green peppers. Can't say we'll be back. Nothing was bad, but the sauce was so sweet and powerful that we couldn't taste the pepperoni. Unfortunately, I learned that Pazani is closed on Mondays, from first hand experience. Undeterred, I returned. Pazani, by the way, is named for PA-sta, piz-ZA, pani-NI. The pizza is decent. Just thin enough to have that slight crunch to the crust, yet enough substance to have some softness as well. The plain cheese pizza is ok. They also have "specialty" varieties, such as the Chicken Caesar. It's got a slight lemony sourness to it and lacks red sauce. Fairly good. I've had the cheesesteak and the chicken-cheesesteak. Both were likable. There are inklings of traditional Italian seasoning in the subs, which you may or may not like depending on preference. The subs are delivered in a light and fluffy white bread. Personally, I wish the meat wasn't so chopped up during the grilling process. Still, the very soft bread, the finely chopped grilled meat, and cheese present a melt-in-your-mouth type of comfort sandwich. The dining area is new and pretty clean. The service is good. In fact, I was very pleased with my first visit, when the cashier helped me through the menu, and politely answered some questions I had about the restaurant. read more

I have been here or gotten taken out of here at a dozen times and I have yet to complain about anything. From the taste, price, service, etc etc... its all be good! My top choices to get. 1. Pizza a) NY Style 5 out of 5 - there NY style pizza is just great, thin the crust is still crispy enough where you can fold it and the pizza won't take a dive onto your shirt. and the SAUCE! oh man the sauce is just awesome! there pizza seriously makes you feel like your in NY standing on the street grabbing a slice! b.) Sicilian - its not deep dish 4 out of 5 - but its the BEST sicillanI have had in Howard County. Not too many places have a this option and almost done do it well, the sauce to cheese ratio is usually off the crust usually is under cooked or it tastes like it was frozen for a long time.... but not Pazani's pizza, the ratio is perfect and the sauce again!! Killer! Believe me the choice between the two styles is tough but lets it put this way, you always win.... ding ding! Obviously the main reason you would come here is for the food, the food all the way from entrees to pizza is awesome! Great flavor, texture and the bread/crusts are killer! Its fast food kind of Italian style. Salads are huge chunks of iceberg lettuce, slathered in dressing. Super unhealthy. Calzones are 95% bread and 5% actual ingredients inside the calzone. Very disappointed to spend money on overly salty and bland fast food. Not too unsurprising for a Maryland pizza shop. Most of them around here are Italian named but super poor quality food. read more
