    Half eaten kids gelato

They did it again. This pizza is unbelievable. There's just no other place like it with the perfect chew to the dough, light enough that I don't feel gross eating the entire pizza, and toppings that all go together unexpectedly. There's ragu pizza blew my mind tonight. This is not typical Pizza Hut/american style pizza. This is true Italian with the VPN certification. It 100% lives up to the honor of that certification. I also had the mozzarella balls tonight and they were so good my son secretly ordered a second order of them! He chanted the whole dinner that this is the best pizza and we should come here all the time, not just sometimes.

Great Happy Hour deal ! We got to try the Pizza flight which is choice of three small pizzas. We got 2 orders of those . Our favorites were the Chorizo & Sausage with Onions. Both delicious and obviously the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The rest of our pizzas were good but nothing outstanding. All the pizzas came out looking great but we were a bit disappointed with the crust. It just didn't quite meet our expectations of a classic Neapolitan . Maybe on a regular sized pizza...‍ Seevice was efficient & attentive and everyone was nice & friendly The dining area was comfy and bright and gives off an atmosphere of pleasant and relaxed dining experience. We might go back for the Arancinis and maybe try their Capricciosa pizza ..maybe

Abby, was so nice. She helped me change a topping. I didn't want tomatoes and I added red onions and she didn't add an eye about me being a little difficult. I tend to not be an nag when it comes to things like toppings, but I just wanted to get the onions today. The food was fresh and tasty. It came out fast. The atmosphere was nice there was an outdoor seating area with tables and the connected to an open air bar. Kitchen staff was friendly. Speaking Spanish is helpful if you want to converse with them. The rest of the staff spoke English and was pleasant to deal with. I would definitely recommend this location. I will also be trying their other locations in Northern Virginia.

Our second time. The first time dough was mushy. Rather than this is Good. So wanted to give second chance. And we Said about dough and we aşk for more crispy dough. Yes it was definitely better. Appetizers was pretty good. Ice cream was veeery good. I am glad we came back!!!

I visited Pupatella because The Baltimore Banner reported it was one of the only restaurants in Maryland with a seal of approval from the Associazione Verace Pizza napoletana (The True Neapolitan Pizza Association). After two orders, I feel torn. My first time, I ordered a plain margherita pizza. The second time (about two weeks later): a margherita with fresh mozzerella, ricotta, and sausage. Both orders were pickup orders; The food was ready promptly with minimal [though polite] interaction from staff. As for the food itself, the cheese tasted like water--No flavor. My first time, although I was underwhelmed by the cheese, the quality of the dough was enough for me to go back again. I doubled the cheese on my second order, and still found it flavorless. Even worse: I found the dough had an extremely sour and unpleasant flavor. Still, the restaurant is well loved, so I am willing to try Pupatella again (perhaps something other than pizza). Regarding decor: the restaurant gets lots of natural light and has the feel of a sit down family restaurant.

Decided to swing by Pupatella for a late lunch with my boyfriend yesterday. They have a nice lunch special that goes on between 11 AM - 3 pm where you can get a side salad and 9 inch pizza for around $12. I ended up getting the sausage and onions (it was average). My boyfriend got the caivano (which I recommend for meat lovers). Service was really good, our waitress was Rachel and she was very sweet and attentive. The restaurant was really empty though. There was maybe one other table in the dining area beside my boyfriend and I so it was a bit awkward. The music also stopped working for some odd reason. Otherwise, it's not a bad place to swing by for some good pizza.

I ordered a pizza on line for pickup. I chose the Buffala Bianca which includes an italian cream sauce, buffalo mozzarella, basil, and prosciutto di Parma. There's plenty of parking and there seemed to be a full house on a Friday night. The Buffala Bianca was not very pretty but very tasty and the prosciutto nice and salty. Definitely a must get!

Fiancé and I are always looking for a good pizza place and this is it!! Starting off the dough is perfection (at least for me). It's soft and chewy, had great burnt parts from the stove oven, and held up to the weight of the toppings. He, being a meat lover, for the caviano. It was yummy! Meat was greasy and flavorful and packed on the pizza. I had the mushroom and added some bacon. The mushrooms themselves weren't the highest quality - it felt just like button mushroom. I feel like it would've been better with porcini mushrooms, but the combination of brie and bacon was perfect. A little bit of funk, creaminess, and salt. I would say skip the arancini, they were a bit underwhelming. The place was pretty quiet when we came on a Saturday at 8pm. I didn't mind it as I like quiet. All the waitresses/waiters seem to be young students and they were all pleasant and getting the job done.

My Wife and I went here because we saw it reviewed on reels. It looked really good. We sat outside since it was a nice evening and that was great. Our waitress seemed like she really didn't want to be at work anymore. Maybe she was tired but just wasn't warm and fuzzy. We ordered the bruschetta which looked great when it came out but lacked flavor. The presentation was nice but the tomatoes had no taste. Definitely needed some seasoning. They tasted fresh but bland. We built our own Nepotalitan pizza with regular sauce, fresh mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni and red onions. We wanted to add Spinach but they only allow 4 toppings (cheese counts as a topping) because the crust is so thin. When the pizza came out it looked great. 4 pretty good sized slices. The beef pepperoni was cooked well, the sausage and mozzarella had a good flavor. I liked the crust my Wife didn't too much but the biggest issue is the middle of the pizza dough didn't cook all the way through and it was still raw. Because we both started eating it from the crust inward (you couldn't really NY pizza slice this thing) we didn't find out until you got to the end. This happened to us both on our second slice. There were some bright spots but overall a lackluster experience for us. We had high hopes that we found another pizza spot, but alas that is not the case Try it for yourself you may like it, just not our cup of tea.

    Veggie panini

We stopped in for a casual Friday date night--it was popping! Service was perfectly fine but not at that above and beyond level. Given the dinner rush, we had a bit of uneven timing with my veggie panini arriving 20min before my husband's pizza. As craft beer nerds, the beer selection was pretty lackluster. Let's be honest though, you're coming here for the food not the beer. The beverage menu include a solid variety for every diner. The veggie panini was fresh, flavorful and filling. The bread has just the right chew to crunch ratio and isn't so thick so as to overpower the filling. The smoked mozzarella elevates each veggie filled bite, adding complexity without dominating. The BYO pizza got top marks despite arriving with only one of the two requested cheeses. Having only recently opened, there are a few kinks to work out, but overall a great addition to the neighborhood and will definitely be back!

Randomy googled this place and went to check it out on a Fri. Night... They were busy but I was able to get a table in no time. Service was great. Appetizers Sampler was ...eh...will skip next time Pizza was good...its a good pizza..def in the TOP5 in the HOCo area. Drinks were good Will come back.

I loved the burrata here but my kids didn't love the pizza. We ordered takeout so next time we would like to try sitting in and seeing if we have a better experience. It is very cute decor inside and the service was fast and easy. There is ample parking and it is kid friendly. We can't wait to come back and try some of the pasta dishes too!

They're colorful, dramatic, a little extra, and totally fit the vibe. If you want a quiet, serious cocktail moment, this isn't that. If you want something playful in your hand while you dominate skee ball, you're in the right spot. Now the food -- this surprised me. The cheesesteak egg rolls are a must. Crispy, cheesy, packed with flavor. Absolutely order them. The buffalo chicken sliders were also a win. Messy in the best way, saucy, juicy, and perfect for grazing between games. What really made it though was the staff. They genuinely look like they're having a good time working there. Not fake smiles. Real energy. That kind of vibe changes everything and makes you want to hang out longer. Game On knows exactly what it is and leans all the way in. Fun first, good food, playful drinks, great energy. We made a last-minute decision to try for some of the nightly jazz (except Monday) at 18th & 21st on a Friday evening (Oct 2025), hip-ly named for the prohibition amendment and repeal :-) There's a free parking garage right across from the entrance of the building they share with a sister restaurant, Cured. We arrived in the bright seasonally-decorated welcoming lobby about 7:50pm. We ought to have made reservations, but in under 10min, the reception staff took us to the more intimate room towards the back where we were seated at at the bar, which is really what we wanted. When we arrived, the 6pm jazz band had just gone on break, so we felt free to chat with friendly regulars and with the bar staff. They have a changing list of ten craft beers from $6 to $21, plus one $6 non-alcoholic brew. Five of the $14-$35 per-glass vintage wines from their list of 17 are preserved with the "corovin" system that keeps air out, so they are never "corked". We focussed on their list of 11 crafted $13-$22 cocktails plus 5 non-alcoholic ones, all made with quality ingredients, each naming the staff member(s) (and guests) who formulated the recipe! We found Alex's $16 Fernetinez sublimely sweet: of bitter fernet amaro, Frederick-based locally-sourced award-winning McClintock One Last Time gin (exclusive for 18th&21st), smooth Luxardo liqueur, and a sweet vermouth. We loved the aroma and flavor of the classic Smoked Old Fashioned of bourbon from Kentucky's 10th-oldest distillery, Green River, moved to a mild well-rounded sweetness by brown sugar simple syrup, smoked in front of me by Mike (if i remember), with added richness from smoky bitters. They have a creative menu of $30 to $65 entrees, plus salads, small plates, apps, and sides, and they have a changing menu of small plates. We really hadn't planned on eating, but we couldn't resist. The $17 duck bao buns had thin tender filets with a sweet lightly-salty apricot-soy glaze and a tangy crunchy pickled cucumber slaw on a soft folded yeasted slightly-sweet white-flour bun. The $12 pair of fried fresh-tasting oysters were sweet and juicy with a light-flavored crunchy crust. They were so yummy, and easy to enjoy with our cocktails. Rodney Kelly's jazz band was excellent, playing with spirit, joking with each other and the audience, even staging a song or two with a skilled member of the restaurant staff. Afterwards we had brief moments with some of the band members, like an intimate jazz club. Later in the evening, i also had a Turkish Sunset, a Manhattan-variation created in a collaboration among the staff and a guest (Well-done Ozzie!). I love Elijah Craig, and wanted to try their dry toasted rye, with housemade allspice dram syrup, Small Hands grenadine, and bitters. By now, i felt very much at home with the staff, and when i learned that one of them had helped formulate this beverage, i confided that its amazing complexity was, for me, just a touch too dry. Alex (if i remember) considered the ingredients and the target flavors, and added just a touch of a sweet lemony liqueur, perfectly complimenting the recipe's flavors! Real-time crafting goes above and beyond, Thank you! (And when they next update the menu, maybe they'll have a custom option named for me :-)

I decided upon their Escape Pina Colada Sour after Juan gave me a sample when he noticed my hesitancy and I agreed I could down a glass since it didn't taste like an actual beer after sipping lol I asked for a menu after some time had passed and after I tried scanning the QR code on the bar multiple times (don't do that. It's for the actual woodworker/carpenter lol) I saw their Tuesday special online but it wasn't mentioned on the menu so I asked and was informed it was only for the restaurant side (Frisco). I was confused because when I walked in on the Frisco side I asked the bartender about the brewery side since I knew I'd have to sample something before committing and was informed to go through the restroom door to reach it on the other side. I made sure to ask if I could also order food from over there as well and was informed I could. No worries though, Juan took care of me and was able to place the order for me. I was about to be bad and order fries but he recommended their parmesan risotto instead and I thought, of course! Then, I remembered they offered seasonal veggies and asked about it and to my happy surprise was informed they had bok choy or brussels sprouts! Either would be yummy so I quickly agreed. This is definitely a local's spot. Many people came in and were known my first names so I felt comforted by that. They're was also a manager on the phone figuring out a mishap with their POS system as well which made me feel like they were on their stuff. I don't know if i can get on board with the inside but being crazy hot. The one I had the day prior wasn't hot inside either and I don't want it deep fried . . . . . Hmmmmm, small I start a crab cake tour I've been awaiting this journey . . . . I shall! So this is officially stop No. 2 Crab cake was seasoned well. Not too much seasoning and not bland. The outside was covered with jumbo lump clusters and the color on the broil was perfect. Fresh parsley throughout and cocktail sauce was given but I wasn't going to take away from their version. Was it MD crab? I'm not sure but I feel like if it was, it would have been advertised as such. Still good and I'd order again. I can see myself coming back after work to take advantage of their HH many times in the future.

We sat ourselves down, a set of leaving guest guided us through the side door and we sat down at an open table. After a long wait, we asked a young waitress for a menu, her reply was 'your waitress hasn't been to your table?' , our reply 'No'. She returned with menus and 'I will be your waitress now'. My dad had the Fish and Chips w/ Onion rings, no Chips, I had the Irish Stew. Our waitress Mallory was polite and attentive, so kind. She recommended the stew, saying it is delicious, she was right. The flavor of Stout is very aperient, better the the stew at Dubliner in DC. I asked her to tell the Chef, which she did. The fish, was as normal great not greasy or over cooked. The fish was tender, moist, crispy, tasty, and the rings perfect. I do not know the other waitress, or the reason why, people have bad days, 'nuff said. The only thing that was a downer that day is, why would you play anything other than 'British Invasion' music in a British Pub? Review: Food; as always AMAZING( I even tipped the chef for the stew). Service; 10/10, Mallory+++. Ambiance; 8/10, stick with what works.

There is the caveat that I ordered carry-out instead of dining in this time and it was a much more seamless process. I placed my order on their website (which is powered by Toast) and it was ready perfectly in time with my designated pickup time. My order came out ready and hot and all the pizzas and garlic bread came out great. In retrospect, I don't know that I would've ordered the garlic bread because I was expecting more of a garlic breadstick situation instead of a sauceless cheese pizza, but that's more of my own fault for not looking at any pictures first. All in all, it was a much more positive experience and I appreciate the management for working so hard to fix any road bumps in service.

On a recent, cold December evening, a friend and I decided to take a break to grab a quick bite to…read moreeat and agreed on Pub Dog in Columbia. We seated ourselves and the server came over promptly to take our drink orders while we perused the menu. The offerings are simple - a few appetizers, salads, and a wide variety of personal sized pizzas with numerous topping combinations. Our drinks arrived quickly we placed our order. My friend tried one of their craft beer offerings, Black Dog, listed as an Irish Stout, and mentioned it was good, but probably not memorable, lacking a depth and smoothness when compared to the classic Guiness, but drinkable and for a local product it was better than most craft brewery attempts at stout varieties.   We chose to split a Caesar's salad and chose the Spinach Pizza and Dog Pound Pizza for our main course. As we waited, numerous other staff came by to check on us verging on the edge of being annoying. While friendly in their approach, it seemed like a bit of overkill considering we had our drinks and were waiting for our pizzas. The place was less than half full, so they were probably just trying to be attentive and friendly. The salad and Dog Pound Pizza arrived soon after but there was no sign of my Spinach Pizza. If you'd like the salad before the pizza, I'd suggest you let them know in advance. After a few minutes we mentioned it to one of the servers checking on us, they went to check and returned saying it would be another 5 minutes or so - I think they forgot when they put the order into the kitchen.   The salad portion was quite large and was quite good for a Caesar salad and frankly, better than a lot of fancier establishments, plus there was enough for leftovers. We were a little disappointed with the pizzas themselves. The toppings were plentiful, maybe to a fault, and tasty but there was something lacking. For a specialty pizza place I would have expected a better crust - for both pizzas it was a bit soggy and difficult to lift off the plate for a proper bite. We ended up eating with a fork. Heartier appetites would finish the individually sized pizzas, but we had enough to take home for lunch the next day.   The atmosphere is sports bar like; the service prompt, courteous, and maybe a bit over-attentive; the portions and toppings generous; the price is extremely fair - a decent choice if you're in the neighborhood, but not quite a foodie destination establishment unless perhaps you're a beer enthusiast.
