They offer lunch and dinner size for their entrees. Lunch is served until 3pm. All dinner entrees are served with pasta, garlic, or regular bread. A side salad can be added to any dinner for $1.99. Orders are placed at the counter and you are given a number to place at your table. Orders are brought out to you. My hubby and I came in for dinner and ordered a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It took about 15 minutes to make. A little longer than I would have expected since we were the only ones dining in. I did see a few people doing carryout. The pizza looked ginormous, but we managed to eat three slices each with two slices to take home. The pizza was crunchy, but I didn't think it was anything special. After Pipilinka Peruvian chicken refused me a cup of water tonight Friday, November 4, I went here as I remembered the pizza was good. All the other options in this shopping center would've been cheating on my diet too, and I didn't have tons of time to look around for something healthier and this shopping center isn't that close to anything else. I ended up getting the chicken & mushroom pasta with wine sauce...subpar. was kind of pissed because if I'm going to be cheating on dieting, I would've wanted something good. But the wine sauce was sweet, tasted weird and looked weird. I tried to avoid as best as I could. The chicken was a little dry. The mushrooms were good and pasta was average or a little below. So overall that one is 2 stars, and the guy recommended that, which was more surprising. The pizza I had, which I found was Monday, May 23 was very good just before my diet started in June. I'd give the pizza 4 stars. Mondays they have a pizza special so it was relatively inexpensive for a large one-topping, which I got mushrooms. I ate half there and saved the other half for another time. It was same cashier, cordial, but not that friendly either. Food is amazing- service- negative 1 star. My family came for a family meal. I have a gluten allergy, so I was THRILLED there was a pizza option for me. We came here after a wait time that was too long for us elsewhere, as we thought this might be a quick option, since we were tired and had my 88 year old grandmother along. Originally, we were very patient, as we saw just how busy the restaurant was. Unfortunately. We quickly realized something was amiss. Food was being given to people that came long after us, but not us. We inquired, and quickly after, the wrong food started coming. We corrected and then 25 minutes later some of the correct food came (45 minutes into the wait). The pizza never came, so we inquired. The cook looked at us like we were nuts. The cashier remembered our order and confirmed I was saying the correct order, but the person handling the food hadn't seen the ticket- we were about an hour 15 deep by this point. Cashier was very sweet about it all- clearly very flustered. Eventually, my parents and grandma decided it was best that they leave- before 2 of us even got any food... By about 1 hr 45 minutes, we finally got all of our food, asked for it to be packed up and left. We didn't even get to eat it. We needed to get home, after what we thought would be a MAX 1 hr restaurant visit. No offer of a refund, coupon, etc. I LOVE this company- I have been very loyal over MANY years and have had GREAT experience carrying out. Eating in? Nope. Never again at this specific location. Eventually, I got home with my food(2.5 hrs post- ordering) and got to eat. I got a large NY Style pizza, to go, from here with mushrooms. It was a very basic pizza, at a reasonable price, but they did a few things exceptionally well. When I'm willing to drive to get my pizza fix, this will be my future first choice. Crust - that chewy, yet crispy combination that so few places get right. Not everyone's favorite, but it is NY style. Sauce - right balance of sweet and acidity. It lacks in spices, but I'll take that any day over the sauces that are just overloaded with dried oregano. Its a basic, clean sauce that held up well hot and cold the next day. Cheese - good mix, no complaints here. They went with a slightly sharper blend over they blander mozzerella that is stringy when it melts. I personally liked the choice. Toppings - Just got mushrooms, and they were pretty good, certainly fresh and not canned, but I think they missed an opportunity to punch them up with some flavor (pre-sauteing for instance, or a more creative mushroom blend). The pizza was ready when they said it would be, the staff was friendly, and the wife was happy when I got home. A note about the ratings: I'm giving Trattoria Amore 5 stars, but do need to acknowledge that this is based on a handicap for the region. There are better pizza places, but they tend to be rather expensive gourmet options that don't carry out well. For delivery/pickup pizzas, Maryland is severely lacking in quality. (ie. if you're from NY, and see from my reviews I've spent time in CT - don't go here expecting the 5 star NY pizza... but also, go here if you're from NY and really missing getting a descent pizza). So we've gotten food here twice. They get one more try and then that's it. First time we got a mushroom pizza. Crust didn't have any flavor and was underdone. Most likely my fault for not asking for it to be well done like I normally would but it still shouldn't be soggy in the middle. The sauce was not the best either. Next trip we opted to try some subs. I got a reg Italian. The rolls were ok. Not great. Not a huge portion of meat and cheese either. I like the hot peppers they include but I can't figure out how you can miss a giant piece of stem when you are putting the peppers on.
