What a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. I was in from out of town and staying near the airport but found this great place nearby. I recommend the special pizza - the one with hot honey and the cacio e pepe. Cocktail menu was decent and our waiter was very friendly.

Cold pasta with cold cheese

Came with a friend to grab a quick dinner and was served ice cold pasta with cold shredded cheese on top. We were starved so we ate it, but won't be back. Might as well have just eaten leftovers out my fridge. Guess the food is only phenomenal if you're a Park Ridge elite or know somebody. Wish I could say I had a better experience. Server was polite, but should have known better than to bring out cold food. I would get pasta from nearby Panino's or Nonno Pino instead.

Waiting for our pasta!

I am pretty obsessed with this place. The seafood pasta (with garlic and oil) and the clam appetizer makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Service is great too! The angel hair is SOLID. Just know their Bolognese sauce has peas in it. So if you don't like peas just order without 'em!

Zuppa De Pesce over linguine pasta.

This is one of my husband and I repeat places we go to for either a quick date or a day to walk around Downtown Park Ridge. They start you off with a complimentary fresh out of the oven bread - one of my faves. Everything we order here tastes really good, a little bigger serving to a standard dinner plate. The only problem this time was there were some mussels on the pasta that really smelled and tasted so bad, thus my 4 stars. Other than that everything is still good to our liking. Their pizzas are very good too coming from someone who's not a fan of pizzas. Drinks are pretty pricey. Service is phenomenal! Someone is always around to remove your old plate to give you a cleaner and not so crammed space.

I suggest making reservations specially for a weekend dinner plan. They only take reservations over the phone, but the place is always busy so it's better to call. Both times I've been here, I've been seated at the dining area closer to where the bar is. There are high top and standard tables, which I think are very close to each other. On my visits, I've tried: CHOPPED SALAD- fresh and good EGGPLANT PARMESAN- satisfying CHICKEN MARSALA- the chicken was delicious but the potatoes were a tad overcooked CHICKEN PARMESAN- this fell flat. The chicken was just not good but the pasta was cooked right. The sauce was a little bland as well. BUCATINI AMATRICIANA (w/ extra meatballs)- I liked the sauce on this dish and the meatballs were great BRACIOLE CON RIGATONI- excellent dish CHOCOLATE CAKE- moist cake and sinfully good Overall, I like this place in downtown Park Ridge. It's vibrant, neat, and the food is good. Service is average but the place was very busy on both times I was here, so it was understandable. I would like to try their pizza on my next visit, they looked and smelled delicious as they were getting delivered to other tables!

Delicious birthday dinner! My partner made reservations and we enjoyed a yummy Italian dinner. We ordered calamari as our appetizer. I ate the vodka pasta and he had the eggplant Parmesan. Dinner was so delicious. Pazzi has really great service as well. Busy atmosphere but lots of waitstaff ready to help! Our drinks (not pictured) were delicious, I recommend the red sangria! We will definitely be back soon.

Rustica pizza

Cozy vibes, cute lighting, but loud and lively. Great selection across menu. Pizza was wet in the middle and doughy throughout - not sure if that was supposed to be the case... Drinks were strong, really drove the 4 star rating. Maybe get a pasta dish instead? Service was nice.

Stead with asparagus, fries and mushrooms

Went here for dinner and it was our first time. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Our table was nestled into a small corner area. Fresh baked warm bread and waters were brought to the table quickly. I ordered a glass of wine and my husband an old fashion. We had the arancini as a starter. It looked delicious, however, when I cut into it the cheese wasn't melted and it was very cold. It took us while to flag someone down to get it corrected. Once we received it back I received the same one that I had cut in half and it appeared that it had been placed into the oven when it was originally fried. This made the outer breaded area slightly softer than it should have been. For our main course I ordered the mussels, clams, and calamari with linguini. The past was cooked to perfect al dente. It was flavorful. My husband ordered the steak which was served with fries and asparagus. The asparagus was over cooked, but the steak was cooked to his liking. It was my birthday and we opted to order a dessert. The dessert we ordered they were out of. During our entire meal all of the staff was very attentive and removed dirty plates and glassware.

Nice quiet atmosphere. Alex was out server & he was terrific! Table order of fried calamari. VERDICT: OUTSTANDING. Crunchy but soft on inside. Not chewy. Breading seasoned beautifully. Chickens: marsala, francese and parmigiana ALL were amazing! My Marsala was too much and brought it home. I ate it for dinner. Parmesan was in a sweet sauce and it was fab. The Francese, I was told was incredibly good and a nice piece of chicken. Arugula and prosciutto 10" was sooooo good. Fresh and the crust was similar to Spacca Napoli. Thats a HUGE compliment. Over all, a culinary treat!

The food, customer service, and ambiance are amazing here. We sat outdoors during a chilly, summer evening and it was amazing. Perfect for a glass of wine. The complimentary plain bread is great but the sesame seeds bread, not so much. It was too much sesame seeds for me. The chicken Marsala and chicken parmesan were both delicious and flavorful. The side of potato wedges with the chicken Marsala weren't the best. It could have used some seasoning. I would recommend this place and will definitely go back.

Come here often! Enjoyed a bottle of wine outside with Megan as our server who was fabulous! We come here often, but we decided to try new dishes. Fried calamari is always a must to start. We enjoyed the linguine gambari and linguine vongole tonight - both delicious!

Vegan options? If so, what's available?

Plenty of salad options plus many pastas can probably be vegan and i'm sure they would be able to do substitutions. They are great here.

Are there any gluten free options?

Yes. I believe there are.

Our server, I think his name was Jose, was very professional, courteous, and friendly. He came back to check on us numerous times and was very quick bringing anything we needed. We had the asparagus salad, the Darte salad, the grilled shrimp appetizer, the grilled vegetables, the grilled calamari, the carpaccio of octopus, and chicken Parmesan. At the start, they brought out bread, olive oil and grated cheese. The bread was a little dry on the outside, but it was warm. The asparagus salad was missing something - maybe salt? It just felt like it lacked flavor even though it had Gorgonzola cheese on it. The grilled vegetables, however, were perfect. It was a combination of one longstem, artichoke heart, one long grilled carrot, a couple of slices of zucchini, and a couple of asparagus. We had asked for them to be well grilled and they were sort of, I can't imagine how few grill marks they would have on them if they hadn't done what he had asked. The Darte salad was a nice size portion with mixed greens, golden and regular raisins, and walnuts. The balsamic vinaigrette is nice and flavorful, and doesn't separate the way it can at some places. The grilled shrimp were very good, nicely seasoned and very well charred. The grilled calamari were great, although they were quite small. There were many more of them than on the pictures. The carpaccio of octopus was very nicely, presented with very thin slices of octopus a nice bright dressing over it and the greens. The chicken Parmesan was a very large portion with the breaded chicken cutlet underneath a large layer of cheese ravioli all topped with marinara sauce, and then cheese, which was browned very well, it was very tasty. For dessert we had two different gelato - the maple bourbon, which would go great with a banana cake and the hazelnut chocolate, which was unbelievably flavorful and smooth. The pistachio and ricotta cake looks very good, but we didn't want to get three desserts. Maybe next time!

We were a little surprised when nothing was done for it, which isn't a big deal, but I'll be honest it was disappointing since we did come specifically to celebrate and had talked about it w our server. 3/5 Arancini - Very salty. None of us really enjoyed them because of that. They also came out lukewarm instead of hot. Would have been excellent if it was less salty and came out hot and crispy. 5/5 Fig & Mushroom (subbed for prosciutto) - The menu doesn't specify how the fig is served. Turned out to be fig jam rather than fresh fig, which wasn't what we expected. A little too sweet for me but overall still very much enjoyed it. Their pizza was cooked perfectly with enough toppings and cheese. Very good pizza! 5/5 Braised Short Rib + Polenta - so good! The short rib was excellent, just slightly salty. The polenta was perfect, and it came with a generous portion of wild mushrooms. 2/5 White Wine Cake (recommended as "unique") by our server - This was the most disappointing meal item. Our waitress told us it was special, but it was very bland and didn't match the description or image on their website. Their website showed a cake with a large scoop of ice cream on top, fair amount of whipped cream and raspberry sauce. Ours came with maybe a quarter of the size of that ice cream scoop, a little teaspoon dollop of whipped cream that you eat in one bite and the raspberry sauce was a tiny smear on bottom for decor but there wasn't enough to actually eat it. The cake itself was moist but lacked flavor. It took a really long time to come out, we thought perhaps they forgot, then forgetting we were celebrating a birthday on top of that was disappointing. Atmosphere - Beautiful space, very well done. The only issue is how close the tables are, you can't pull your chair back without hitting someone, and getting to the bathroom requires asking others to move because of how tight the layout is. Overall, we really enjoyed it and would return. While there were a few dishes we wouldn't order again, and others we would. Would love to try the wild mushroom pizza next time! The only thing was that since we had come to celebrate a birthday and didn't end up doing that, the night felt a little less special than we had expected--but still a nice experience overall.
