What a disappointment. Grew up going to Pazzos. I return ten years later and get the worst service. Won't be back.

This was the worst service we have ever experienced. The waitress was unprofessional and lazy. We had to get up and ask where our food was after waiting an hour and a half and found the waitress talking to her friend up front. We asked to talk to a manager and she tried to blame the fact that we hadn't gotten our food on us. She stood there arguing with us instead of simply apologizing. She told us the best she could do was give us a 10% off discount. After we left $60 on the table and left, a waiter continued to follow us out of the restaurant and threatened to call the cops if we didn't pay the rest. Still didn't get the pizza that we never got. Overall a terrible experience and we were blamed for it. I do not recommend ever going there." read more

Should be zero stars because we didn't even get served. Waited 30 minutes for a table which was no big deal. Didn't get a waiter for 30 more minutes. Been here 5 times and always the same damn story. Love their hot sandwiches!! And their pasta salad is the closest thing to NY style you can find in the valley! And the staff is super friendly! Must try if you are in Avon! Sad to say I can't say the same for the Vail location, but the Avon one is a must! read more

We ordered a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza and garlic cheese bread for carryout. The small was plenty big for 2 adults to share; since we also had the garlic cheese bread, we had some of both leftover. The garlic cheese bread was delicious and came with a marinara dipping sauce. The pizza was just OK....it was a thin-ish crust but somewhat "floppy", while I would have preferred it to be crisp. Since we didn't eat in the restaurant, I can't tell whether it started that way and got soggy on the way home, or if that's just how their pizza is. They close relatively early (for a pizza place, in my opinion), so don't expect to order a late night pie! It's the most convenient carryout option in Avon, so it gets points for that....and the pizza is better than ordering Domino's. It's walking distance from most of the resorts in Avon, located centrally in the Avon town center. read more

Avoid at all costs on busy weekends. Over extended staff and take-out orders filled first results in long wait time. 1 hr. 45 mins. for our nothing to rave about pizzas and calzone. Didn't help that the hostess / self-proclaimed manager created a scene when a customer mentioned "Just a moment', you're not the only one here" was not an appropriate response to a customer trying to find their waiter to get the check after spending 2 and one-half hours in a pizza joint. Oh yeah, one of my favorite pizzas on the area. If you order the Sicilian size either one piece or the whole pizza it will serve you very well, as well as the taste, it's very good, I totally recommend this one as one of the must try. Delicious! read more

This used to be one of my weekly staples. But never again. Waitress was boarderline retarded. Sat at a table for 30 minutes before our drinks arrived, (at lunch on a sunday) waited another hour for our pizza, which was just plain bad. All this with the owner behind the bar, 2 servers on, and only 4 tables full, and 5 bar customers. If the owner can let this happen under his eyes in the front of the house, I can only imagine what goes on in the kitchen! Gross! read more

Me and the family ordered take out and the food was ready pretty fast. The cheese was cooked to perfection but the crust was burn beyond repair. The saugage was decent but dry yet it was a decent portion size for the entire family. The vegetables were fresh and sizzling and the aroma was enough to get your mouth watering. The look of the pizza was decent but was similar to any other chain pizza place in the United States. Overall Pazzo's Pizza is a delicious pizza place that has a similarities with chain pizza franchises. read more

Do not order the pasta here. We were here on a fairly busy Saturday night and were told by the waitress that pizza would be 90 minutes so we ordered pasta. Big Mistake on several levels. First the waitress took down the wrong order and then blamed it on our accents - even though she had said the order back to us. I think the morons name was Sarah. Then the pasta itself - would it hurt to add a little salt to the water? & the vegetables were practically raw. In there defense the pizza did look good but not worth a 90 minute wait. read more

I remember going to Pazzo's as a kid my memories were amazing. I recently got to go there again... Same... amazing there are no other words.

The pizza is great. Every dish tasted amazing, and was a decent portion. However, while sitting at the bar, we observed both of the cooks go from handling money, trash, and then food without wearing gloves or washing their hands. The waitresses were very accommodating, and atmosphere was fun. read more

Don't waste time going anywhere else in the valley, for pizza, calzones or a tasty salad they have the best around. Great staff, generous portions and reasonably priced. Never waited more than a few minutes for seating and food has always arrived reasonably quickly. read more

We had poor service and our food took a very long time to come. After waiting for over 30 minutes for our food to come out, one of the pizzas had the wrong toppings on it. We wouldn't dare send the pizza back. Who knows what would have happened? The flavor on one pizza was lacking and if we asked for more to drink, we were made to feel like we were bothering the staff. As a long time local I love the pizza at Pazzo's. What was especially impressive last weekend, was the manner in which Eric, who was bartending, managed a relatively difficult situation with class, style, kindness and respect. Look. I understand that the night I was at the restaurant it was very busy. But I took 1.5 hours to get a table and another 1.5 hours to get our food. I ordered a CALZONE. Like just give me a plate of cheese or something. I ordered a three cheese calzone and there are at least 4 cheeses in it. Now this restaurant (or food place) had to open the windows because it was too hot. No AC I guess. A few of my friends' orders were wrong and they ate it anyway. We ordered a refill or our pitcher and didn't get a refil for 45 min. The calzone that finally came wasn't even enjoyable and I specifically said no marinara and the doused my entire meal in it. It also came out with no fork or anything and I had to wait another 20 min to get A FORK. the waiter we had was very overwhelmed and couldn't serve everyone. Because of that he was very sassy to everyone. My friend that ordered a medium pepperoni pizza got his food last and it was cold. They treated us like children and the people at the bar were their only priority. The waiter couldn't even read his own handwriting and screwed up half of the orders. We also all ordered a split check so we could make it easier. He put the bill as one check and we spent another 35 minutes figuring out who pays what. When my friend went to the bathroom and used "too many paper towels". So don't come here if you want food or to wash your hands. If you're looking for something to waste 4 hours of your time, then this is greatttt. My younger disinter asked for a spoon and he yelled at her that she need to wait. NO WHYFI. We also couldn't get any change for quarters when my kids wanted to play games. While waiting for our table they made my whole party bus the whole room. So WE really should have been the ones getting payed. The closing time was 10:00 and we got all of our food at 9:50. 4 of the 7 waiters went for a smoke break all at the same time. Bad experience all around at Avon location. We tried to view menu on-line but link to menu didn't work from their home page. Called to try and place an order but was met with short obnoxious attitude on the phone. Normally would have stopped at that point, but the place was recommended by our hotel (yes...we fit the "tourist" demographic referenced in other write ups so maybe the staff at Pazzo's could sense that and kicked in their less than hospitable demeanor). When we arrived at the place, I was placing my "to-go" order at the counter while my wife rested her feet at an empty table (the place was only half full at the time. While I was ordering my wife was told by one of the staff that she could not sit at a table and had to leave even after she explained that I was at the counter ordering. When attempting to order my pizza the person taking the order was slow and seemed confused. We were told the order (just one pizza) would take about 20 minutes. In 25 minutes I was presented with a pizza, but unfortunately, it was not the one I ordered. 50 minutes later I finally received the correct order and when I mentioned that it took twice as long as we were originally told and the girl behind the counter argued that they were very busy and it only took 20 minutes anyway. Tired of trying to prove my point we departed very frustrated. I hate to be one of those people who say "this pizza is nothing like the pizza back home", but this was definitely the case. As a matter of fact, it wasn't even as good as a take-n-bake from the local grocery store. Between the poor service, bad attitude of the staff that we encountered, and the quality of the pizza, I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.
