My phone died due to a fluxuation in the gravitational pull of the earth. I had seen their Storefront as I passed it on my way to visit the 5 Guys French Fry Restaurant, so I thought of them first. Not a good way to pick an establishment for such an important task as phone or computer repair! The nice young man seemed like an honest kid. Quite a devious dude as it turned out. I paid a $50.00 deposit for the initial determination, which would be applied any future expenses incurred toward resolution. He informed me after I returned a couple of hours later that my phone was irrepairable. I inquired about a replacement and could the data be transferred from my dead phone. He said he could try, and informed me that they had a special service plan that would save me money if I had any future issues with my new phone, which was supposed to be an open box special. The service plan, he said, would be $100.00 but because they were having a special promotion the cost would be refunded with the purchase of my new phone. He neglected to inform me that the $100.00 was actually a monthly charge for membership in their club. I did not find out about that little detail until my bank informed me of the $100.00 charge at the beginning of the next month. I immediately called Recconected's Scottsdale office and explained that I did not want a subscription to their service club. The person I spoke with said they would refund the charge and cancel the subscription. This was a bold faced lie as neither of these items occurred. Additionally they continued to charge my account for two more months before I learned from my bank that they had declined to pay a fourth charge. Many hoops later I was able to prevent further theft from my account. Not an honest business. Not trustworthy since the individual did not honor his word that the initial charge would be removed and the subscription terminated. Do not do business with this shady outfit! I had a great experience with Isaiah and he was able to quickly offer a solution to my iphone issue. He resolved the problem within minutes which helped me to get back up and running. It is not inexpensive, however, you cannot put a monetary value on being without a phone. He was much more helpful in offering a solution that Verizon or Geek Squad offered. He later helped me with data transfer and stuck to his time estimate and communicated as promised. After the positive experience, I went back to get a screen and camera protector. I am told it's a $10 replacement fee + installation for each for the time that I own the phone--better than what I previously got through Pure Gear from Verizon. My experience was very positive and I would recommend ReConnected. read more

Update from March 13th. ReConnected agreed to do the data transfer from the laptop they ruined to a new one. I finally picked up the laptop today after OVER 2 MONTHS and being told they were able to get everything transferred over. The laptop was dead, so I was not able to check it there. After finally getting home, I booted it up to find the folders they said would be there and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN THE FOLDERS. When calling in, their response was "we said we were able to transfer over everything we were able to get". Update from 6/1/26 - After another 90 minutes of driving and about hour in store, their final conclusion is that they did not transfer the data correctly before wiping my hard drive. When asking if there was any resolution, the response was that they had already "gone over the resolution allowance" trying to solve my problem. If by solving the problem of ruining a computer, you mean erasing all the data as well, then call it solved! read more

Reconnected Device Repair operates with blatant bait-and-switch behavior and zero integrity. When I first went in, the guy who helped me was super nice and eagerly sold me a $400 screen replacement(which came with a 1 year warranty), took my money, and then when I went back to get the screen fixed again (due to a black dot forming at the top of the screen) another worker refused to honor it when I needed their service again. The guy told me he couldn't help me because there was "physical damage" and that "voids the warranty". So what was the warranty I paid for originally for then? When I went in to address their failure to uphold the contract, I wasn't helped--I was treated with rudeness, attitude, and complete disregard. The guy basically shoved my phone back at me and told me he couldn't help me. Instead of resolving their mistake, they were dismissive and disrespectful, as if honoring their own agreement was somehow unreasonable. He told me it would be another $400 if I wanted any help with my phone. This business is dishonest, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. Promising services to get customers in the door and then backing out while treating them poorly is unacceptable. If something goes wrong, expect excuses, attitude, and no accountability. Do yourself a favor and find a shop run by mature experienced employees. Lots of unseasoned young boys running the Reconn stores many of which totally lack professional etiquette and people skills. If something goes wrong it can go south very quickly when you're dealing with a young boy. The first incident involved a tech blunder with a battery replacement gone wrong but luckily it resolved on its own 3 weeks later before I could bring it back to them. The second incident was horrific customer service at the Prescott store in which the salesboy actually threatened to call the police and have me arrested for trespassing after I refused to do business with reconn. This is a taste of the mentality you can expect to have to deal with at the Prescott store if you get upset with the bearded boy. Although the business concept is good, be aware that you are leaving your $800+ phone in the hands of a teenage tech with perhaps a few weeks of technical experience. In retrospect I was lucky to have not been able to bring my phone back for the first incident. I highly suspect I would have been out $800 and having to buy a new phone at my own expense. read more

Do NOT go this business for anything. The first time I went they charged me to transfer data from an iPhone to Android and completely failed at the attempt, and didn't even bother to refund the charge. I actually had my sister-in-law successfully transfer the data, with nothing more than a USB bridge between the two phones! The second time I went was even worse. I had a malfunctioning Samsung S24 ultra that they offered to "diagnose". Their idea of diagnosing the problem was to open up the phone, which was still under warranty, and replace parts (without my permission). Then when I return, they said they replaced the screen(300.00 - a 50 dollar discount they so generously offered) and a 150.00 battery, which it didn't even need! I had them return the the original parts to the phone and took to another shop where they informed me that battery was functioning normally. However, opening the phone voids the warranty. Edit: I'm still working on getting the S24 working. After a visit to an Asurion certified store (The phone was insured and I did not know this at the time) and then a home visit from an Asurion tech, It was discovered that the ribbon cable to the screen was sliced enough to cause any future screen repairs to fail. I'd say it's better than a 50/50 chance that ReConnected intentionally damaged the phone. read more

Brought our fully functional S23 Ultra in to fix a small chip on lower right side of the screen. We were charged well over $400. They brought us back our phone and when we went to scan the QR code to leave a good review, we realized they had warped our camera, (which is the most glamorous part of the S23U). When we questioned them they said "no refunds" and that we couldn't prove that it wasn't warped to begin with. After a lot of back and forth, they put the old screen back on and sent us away with only half of a refund. If I could give negative stars for the incredibly unprofessional way the manager dismissed us, and smirked at us, I would. Zero transparency, zero accountability, and we were left with a mess of a deal to figure out for ourselves. We had to catch a flight out of Phoenix that day, so our options were incredibly limited. We had a great experience at this local business. Our old HP laptop was literally falling apart and malfunctioning and the technician, Rueben, explained that the repairs would cost more then a new laptop! It was time for a replacement and they listened to our needs and with much patience showed two low-tech people how to operate the new device. We even brought the device back the next day with our little list of questions and again Rueben solved our concerns and we're very happy with our new Lenovo laptop. read more

Sorry to say I have been disappointed by this spot. All started well with prompt response to diagnose problem with MacBook Pro and after finding there was water damage I purchased a refurbished replacement from them which has gone well. However, I left my former MacBook with them with hopes of recovering my hard drive - no promises which I understood but again, was hopeful. They told me they sent it out to another location for diagnostics and repeatedly promised to keep in touch. I called 4-5 times for follow up with again, "don't call us, we'll call you" kinda runaround. It's been about 4 months now and clearly they weren't able to recover my hard drive but NO contact... NO communication... After repeated attempts on my part only to be put on hold and eventually brushed off. The phone was repaired and ready when they said it would be...I spotted a new phone while I was there...made me a "deal" and bingo...couldn't be more pleased. This business has good techs and good customer focused management. 2nd visit: While on my 1st visit, I asked if they fixed cracked and chipped Samsung tablet screens.
