I found PDQ while looking for a to go lunch. The restaurant is in a good location and our order arrived quickly. I tried the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and while I can't honestly say the sauce was hot, it was flavorful. The restaurant serves chicken sandwiches, tenders and nuggets, along with a variety of sauces, salads, sides and cookies. Hubs went for the crispy chicken classic and we both agree they do a good job on chicken sandwiches. Those sauces add interesting flavors and next time, I'll try that Korean BBQ sandwich. I had high expectations of this place. It was lauded at work as THE chicken place beating out Zaxby's (my fave) and Chick-fil-A. But I was less than impressed. ‍‍‍ The waffle fries were hot, crispy and seasoned. They stole the show. The ranch was nothing special, unfortunately. The sandwich...had problems? The breading was good seasoned and crispy. But it was so thin and after a few bites, started coming off the chicken. I'm a fan of lettuce and tomato on my sandwiches so that was good and fresh, but it's like they said, "hey we don't need a large piece of chicken since we're providing lettuce and tomato!" And when you have tomatoes and pickles right on top of each other that's just a recipes for a falling apart mess. All in all, nothing wrong or bad with the food, but I won't be returning. Discovered this place 3 years ago and it has never disappointed! We most often order the Classic Chicken sandwich, a tender LG fried chicken breast with a brioche bun, dill pickles and mayo. One of the best fried chicken sandwiches we have had... and we had them from fast food places to known restaurants. Chicken portion is larger than other places. Chicken tenders are also delicious, tender and very ample. Mediterranean salad is also a favorite... grilled or fried chicken, hummus, feta, black olive, etc I have to mention the staff... oh so helpful! I like PDQ! It's very tasty! Of their salads I've tried the Mediterranean salad and it's really good. I love the salad without their dressing though to be honest. The hummus on the side plus their ingredients with the olives and pepperocini peppers is enough flavor for me. I also like their chicken nuggets (can't go wrong with those). But the thing that really sets them apart I think is their packaging. They put every meal in a cute box. It'd be amazing for catering if it wasn't so expensive per box. I haven't seen the inside of their restaurant however, I've only been through the drive through... which is a bit strange as the menu and the place where you order are in different locations, so you have to remember all your selections in order to make your order. First time trying PDQ. I was not disappointed at all. I ordered my husband the chicken sandwich with guacamole and he said surprisingly it was really good. I got my kid the crispy tender kids meal with fries and juice and devoured it, which says a lot coming from a picky eater lol. I got me the spicy chicken sandwich with fries and the 12 PC spicy chicken nuggets with PDQ sauce and OMG I was not expecting it to be that spicy, I LOVED IT! I will be going back.... The only downfall about it is the drive thru concept. The menu board is on the side of the the building and then you have to drive around the corner to place it. Read so many good things, had to try PDQ. Wife and I visited, on a Sunday. Went through the doors, and stopped dead in our tracks! I came in Wednesday August 17th at 8:30pm and the employees were just so rude and had horrible customer service. We asked for serachta sauce at the window where we order... they were suppose to give us our food in the second window(per usual) but instead asked us to go into the curbside pickup... they bring us our food and forgets the sauce and gets mad at us saying it "wasn't listed" when we SPECIFICALLY told the girl when we ordered... she walks away while we are talking to her, sends another employee to bring us the sauce and the employee that comes just throws us our sauce so disrespectfully. There is a brand new chicken contender in Naples and P.D.Q. is a knockout. I enjoyed the ambiance, the men had a good array of healthy sandwiches, sides and beverages for everyone. I have now dined with the new PDQ in Naples three times and am probably done for awhile. Two out of the three experiences were not impressive. They are new and super busy, but that does not make sitting in a fairly short line in their drive thru and it being a 45 MINUTE EXPERIENCE okay! I was only THREE cars away from ordering, yet it was at a standstill for over 25 minutes. I should have left then, but my step daughter really wanted to try their milkshakes. Ordered all milkshakes for the kids WITHOUT a cherry on top (sounds minor but tell that to kids who don't like cherries). They all came with cherries on top....again, after a total of 45 MINUTES in the drive thru. The only good experience I had was dining IN their dining room - very quick, staff were attentive and the food was delicious. With the drive thru, the food was pretty good, milkshakes are always too runny and clearly there is a 'flow' issue within the establishment. Disappointing since it is so close to my house and a great option for a quick meal for the family. I will pass for awhile until they hopefully get their 'ducks in a row'. read more
