These people are HEROES! My normally reliable car decided not to start this morning, so I called service street and they sent someone out to help me right away. It turned out to be more than just a simple jump start, but they were fair and reasonable even though they could have price gouged us because we were stuck and needed help. It makes me feel like they are a company I can trust to take care of my car. I find a lot of service providers and restaurants based on online reviews, and the reviews on this company are mixed, so I might not have chosen them to come help me if they weren't the closest and it wasn't an emergency. I am glad to be reminded that people like to come online and complain, but they forget to leave comments when they are pleased with the service. No business is perfect, but I bet for every negative comment on here, there must be 10+ satisfied customers who just didn't think to go online and leave a nice review. read more

I came in with a low tire pressure light. They found a screw and another hole in my tire. Great customer service to check in. To have the tire replaced, they needed to order a tire to be delivered. It took several hours for the tire to get there and it wasn't a name brand tire. The store was able to give me a ride to and from work while we were waiting for it to arrive. Once the tire was replaced, they checked the tire pressure and sent me on my way. The low tire pressure light was not reset and a new error message came up, 'Tire Pressure Sensor Fault.' When I called to ask if this could be fixed, I was given the option to bring it in. Before I made the 2 hour trip over, I went to a tire plus where they checked it for free. And I discovered that the tire they had 'fixed,' had the sensor broken. I am still waiting to hear back from the store about what they suggest for a next step. Hopefully a monetary compensation for a botched tire replacement. We shall see. There were definitely pros and cons to this location. I found that Xavier was true to his word, but Brianna was not. There are several other mechanics around but there's a reason why there's no cars here. Unless you would like to have additional follow up repairs, I would go somewhere else. read more

I used to have nothing but good things to say. Sadly, I relied on my wife and my past experiences and did not look at the last year's worth of reviews. I don't know if I would ever take my car here again if I had a free coupon for all they work because the issue that I brought my can in with sounds worse now. I came in with a single complaint, of grinding on cold startup. Happily paid for a diagnostic which I was told was a worn out timing chain. Again, I had numerous good experiences in the past and so didn't even think to doubt them or the cost of replacing it. I was sick that it would cost me as much the quote, but they had earned my trust. Was told the mechanic doing the repair had decades of experience and should get it done that day. It was not. Two days of paying for ride-shares to work later I was told my car was ready. Paid my bill, grabbed my keys and headed to my waiting vehicle. Same grinding noise on cold start-up but slightly louder now!!! Left my car and key back with them. Next day I am told that my car is dead in their parking lot and they need to replace the starter just to get it into their garage so they can't even diagnose THE ORIGINAL ISSUE!!! So now, I am THOUSANDS of dollars in on these repairs and the original issue is slightly louder than it was to begin with. read more

If you think about going here, don't. Its a scam. Usually I'm optimistic when looking for a mechanic, but this place will attempt to overcharge you and in return, will not service your car. What they do is they have a person who is extremely knowledgeable about cars answer the phone when you call and they will tell you to bring in your car immediately (since they are never busy because they don't actually work on your car). Their cashier is very kind (the same guy who answers the phone) and will try to scare you into thinking that your car needs more work than needed. You know, the typical scam. While I was there waiting on my car (which was about 1-2 hours for an alignment) two customers came into the shop complaining that their issues weren't resolved and called them out on their scam. They had bigger issues compared to me. I think one customer's car charging port didn't work while the other had an issue with the transmission. After they left, they finally started to look at my car, and while many of the mechanics were just standing around my car doing nothing, eventually they said my alignment was finished. They didn't provide the current measurements for the alignment and tried to charge me 150 dollars. I told them that I watched them do nothing to my car for about 30 minutes and that i wasn't paying for a service with out the current measurements of the alignment. Sure enough my car 'needed' more work to be done but I just asked for my keys and left. As I was driving back home, sure enough, my car kept drifting to the right. In short, these people are good at telling you whats wrong with your car, but will attempt to fix your car at all. Never go here, this place is the epitome of why people don't trust mechanics. read more

Complete and utter ripoff artists, or completely incompetent. Probably both. My father went in for a couple of check engine lights. They quoted over $3500 in repairs ... unfortunately, he agreed to a set of repairs to the tune of $1000. Luckily he declined the rest. He paid $85 for a set of 3rd party intake manifold gaskets. He paid $48 for a set of fuel injector o-rings. And then over $800 in labor to replace the intake manifold gaskets. There is no labor line item for the fuel injector o-rings, so as far as I can tell, he got charged for the parts, but they never installed them. The worst part is they missed the actual cause of the check engine lights, which was a tear in the PCV tube that connects to the back of the intake manifold. There is no way they could have missed the 2" tear in this hose while they had the intake manifold off to replace the gaskets, unless they are completely incompetent or ripoff artists. I purchased genuine Honda intake manifold gaskets for $8 from the dealer, and replaced the PCV tube and gaskets in less than 1.5 hours myself (which involves removing the intake manifold). The $800 in labor was a COMPLETE ripoff. In addition, I found a missing bolt and loose wire harnesses while working, so not only did they overcharge by several degrees, the work was lazy and shoddy. Avoid this place at all costs. They are truly the epitome of the slimy mechanic that creates massive distrust in the auto-repair industry. I can only conclude that all of the extra work they quoted was an attempt to take advantage of my father. read more

Avoid this place at all costs!!! I went there for a simple oil change and they stripped out the threads for the oil pan drain bolt. There was oil all over the bottom of the car (previously bone dry with no previous leaks in the history of the car) and it was actively dripping from the drain bolt. They denied responsibility and are refusing to fix it claiming it's a "regular wear and tear item." They want to charge me over $700 to fix their mistake! The car has around 80k miles on it and has been meticulously maintained at the Toyota dealership until about two months ago. Speaking as a former auto mechanic and current aircraft mechanic, this was their negligence and they refuse to own it. People and places like this are why consumers hate taking there car to the shop. My cars power steering had gone out a few times in one day while I was in the area. Scared that it would go out again, I pulled into this place hoping they could take a look at what was going on and tell me what needed to happen next. I explained to them both on the phone and in person that I had been having other more minor electrical issues recently such as erratic windshield wipers, back power windows not always working, and that I thought all of these issues might be connected since when my power steering was going out, so was my radio. After explaining everything they said they'd take a look at it and estimated it to be $200. I was not aware until later that this estimate was ONLY for the diagnosis and not the fix. They took advantage of my lack of car knowledge and tried to tell me that I needed my entire rack and pinion replaced, and that it would cost me just short of $3,000. I said there was no way I could afford that and that I didn't expect it to be anywhere near that expensive of a fix. (I may not have car knowledge but I have common sense) In short, I had someone else take a look at it and it ended up just being a loose battery cable but still ended up leaving $200 for the diagnosis alone. Unreliable and inexperienced employees. Took my 2013 FRS in for an oil change since the maintenance package I got at the dealership recommended this place. Man behind the counter was slightly rude as I tried to give him the information on my appointment. No big deal, until he gave the keys to one of his employees. Why would you give the keys to an employee who does not know how to drive a manual transmission? I sat outside and watched as they gave the car gas and it didn't go anywhere, ultimately letting the vehicle roll back into a parking spot. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially for manual transmission owners. Might just burn your clutch. The more time passes, the more ways I see they screwed up my car. Had some major work done. When I got it back, the radio didn't work. Yeah, they forgot to hook it back up. But okay, they fixed it but barely apologized. I've since realized they only partially fixed it. The right front speaker hasn't worked since they had the car. Then I noticed that they didn't put the dashboard back together properly. It no longer lines up- different pieces are at different heights. I can't tell if there's just a piece missing from around the gear shift, or if they also put that together in such a haphazard, crooked manner that the piece that should be there is just buried under other parts. They took the car apart, the incompetent mechanic did know how to replace breaks and rotors, then I was told my car is unsafe to drive and that a "more" experienced mechanic needed to take a look at my car when he comes in on Monday! They waited until closing time to tell me all of this. I was left without a car from Saturday 1pm until Monday night 6:30pm. A worker took me home with their "work" shuttle on Saturday. They didn't care about the fact that I don't have a car to get to work on Monday. Three days later (Monday) evening when I picked up my car I was told they changed additional parts without my authorization and charged me for parts and labor I DID NOT APPROVE. An auto mechanic establishment is supposed to be honest and trustworthy. There is nothing honest about this place. I took a potential car i wanted to buy to Service Street in Snellville. The process barely took 45m. I thought that was a bit fast but the inspection was complete. Based on the information given to me saying it was a good used car to buy and nothing major showed up. I bought the car based on this great information. Not even 24 hours later the car would not go over 20 miles and all the service lights were on. I brought it back the following morning and the manger wanted to charge me $300+ after i paid almost $200 the day before. The manager took no responsibility and would not look at it if no money was paid. Everyone tells us to get cars checked out before we buy but what about the rip off. I recently had a charging problem with my truck, thought the battery was dead. Took battery to Walmart (where I had bought it from to have them check it out, it came back as a good battery. so I took the alternator off to go and have it checked (AutoZone), again came back good. so I took it to service street to have them diagnose the problem. after having it for almost a day and a half they said that they have been trying to reach (even though I had tried to call twice, with no answer) me to tell me that I had forgot to sign the agreement to do the diagnoses at 150.00. I gave them permission over the phone. 20 minutes later (how can you do a diagnoses in 20 minutes) they called and said that it was done and that it was in fact the alternator. They quoted me nearly 500.00 (on top of the already 150.00) to do the work. (really 550.00) so I had the truck towed back home to remove the old one and pay 170.00 to get a new one. the truck started right up and drove just fine, until the next morning when it would not start again. Tried to get service street to redo the diagnoses again but they insisted that it would be another 150.00. so I took it to another (Brookwood auto) shop that charged me 95.00 to do a diagnoses (at witch time I confirmed what I had already suspected was that service street did not do a diagnoses in the first place) the mechanic (at Brookwood auto) that I talked to said there is no way that you can do a complete diagnoses of the charging system in 20 minutes. a couple of hours later the results came back as a couple of fuse relays, 50.00. the mechanic replaced the relays and even cleaned up some of the frayed wires for the battery, alternator, starter and the fuse panel. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! I cannot give this place anything based on actual work done because I did not go to them for the work to be fixed. This is based on their attempt to rob us for work that was not needed at all. My wife took her truck to them because she was hearing a knocking noise. They took the car in to do a diagnostic of the issue. She was told that she needed shocks(they stated they have completely failed and it's $100 in parts), struts (which were kind of expensive but very expensive if you get it from them), u joints (which they stated is a serious matter for safety however a $25 part). She was told that this would cost $1685 to fix (with 4 hours work). I knew something wasn't right. She literally hasn't had many issues with the vehicle and she is careful with her truck. I wanted to seek another opinion. During that time calling around they called her numerous times to ask if we knew anyone in the military for a discount, they called to say if we OK the work to be done it could be back same day etc. I told her let's get the vehicle back ASAP and get a second opinion because they are pressing us and it didn't feel right. As a precaution I went a bought shocks and u joints just in case to have another mechanic did it for a little cheaper or even could work on the vehicle right away if possible because we were losing time because she needed the truck back on the road. Upon the new mechanics inspection (and mine along side of him) it was revealed that NOTHING at all was wrong with the shocks! NOTHING at all was wrong with the struts. Nothing was wrong with the U Joints AT ALL either! I inspected them with my own two eyes and hands on a lift with the mechanic to make sure and there was no play in the joints and the shocks were completely fine. I cannot believe they were charging $1685 for something that could be fixed for less than half the price elsewhere. The mechanic I went to showed me the issue of the knocking noise. It was a broken exhaust pipe that could be welded for $60! Supposedly they did an inspection? I cannot understand how they did not see a detached exhaust that was clear as day! If you inspected the shocks and u joint the exhaust is right in your face. How the hell did they come up with their quote? What did they do for the diagnostic? How did they miss a detached exhaust? To me this type of negligence is a RED FLAG and I cannot trust them to even give me a oil change. I'm sorry. That was just grossly misdiagnosed and overpriced. I cannot tell anyone to go there after that. If you ever have to go there please have enough time to get a second opinion and price the job accordingly. I have no issues with paying for quality service but I have a issue with an attempted robbery with no gun. That was just disrespectful. When the guy starts the oil change, he says he found more things wrong, and that he HAD to charge me extra. How much extra? $100. Beware of Service Street in Snellville. Took car in at 1pm due to some hesitation when starting along with hearing a belt squeaking twice when turning off within a few days. They "think" it could be a blown head gasket??? However, I need to pay the $129 for block test. "A portion" of that could go toward repair. When asked what dollar amount a portion is, tech was put out and said "about half".... tech sighing throughout conversation. Said we would be there within the 15 minutes before they closed at 7pm and got an attitude from they tech that they would be there 1 to1 1/2 more hours. Talked like we were totally inconveniencing him. FIX YOUR SIGN -- IT SAYS you close at 7pm. So due to the way tech talked to me along with having a feeling they were being shady, I declined and guess what?? Car NOW smoking from exhaust upon pick up !!!! Was not smoking prior to dropping off AT All. CAN I SAY THIS THING WAS SMOKING BACK AND FRONT as I brought it to another shop. IT HAS NEVER overheated or show evidence of coolant leak. PlUS it JUST had recent oil change with fluids checked. DO NOT bring your car to these crooks. UPDATE - NOTHING wrong with car. NOT A BLOWN HEAD GASKET as you all "suspected" After a FULL battery of diagnostic tests done less then 12hrs after leaving your "shop". AMAZINGLY coolant level correct - unlike being told 12 hrs ago that it was LOW. Funny that it is NOT SMOKING WHATSOEVER early this morning....... Just like when it was brought in. UNLIKE HOW IT WAS WHEN PICKED UP after being in your "care". Apparently you tried to fool "the wrong woman" yesterday with "dropping some oil" under the hood and in the exhaust ! Had I fallen for your tricks, I could be $1K-$2K in the hole possibly repairing what you "SUSPECTED" could be a blown head gasket. When nothing wrong with car. Just don't go there. Found out they are more expensive than dealer and other shops around. I went there for AC recharge on my Odyssey.. $128 work became $230 work! Incable of basic troubleshooting and want customer to pay for it. Though for example.. Honda refund the diagnostic fees if they provide the service. But here they don't!! Diagnostic should be done when basic troubleshooting fails.. Not for lack of knowledge or basic steps!! Plus when I dropped my car off they told me they will accept their $25 coupon. But it was missing when I got my bill!! I called Bob/mgr on Sat but they made me chase the original service mgr Steve who was available on Mon...and of course no result. So here is the gist... They charge diagnostic fee on basic troubleshooting after the work they performed, you pay for their lack of knowledge. No accountability, no common sense approach. When you raise your concern, there is no accountability from service mgmt side. Honoring their coupon what they agreed no accountability there either. Also there is no up the chain contact you can find. Noticed, part was more expensive than the original dealer part!! No explanation on extra $10 supplies fee they add on every bill. I should have listened to the other customer in there shop who keep coming to fix the same issue!! It was my first and will be my last visit. DO NOT have your car repaired at this establishment! Don't even have the oil changed. I have had two terrible experiences with this shop and can no longer recommend them. I had the oil changed on my Civic and they FORGOT to fill it back up with oil. We drove it away WITH NO OIL IN IT!!! On top of that Honda had just replaced the engine. It was brand new! Then we had the timing belt replaced on our Accord. They completely "forgot" to replace one major part and then "forgot" 4 bolts that hold everything together. They let us drive it away and the serpentine belt fell off and nearly ruined the motor. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR CARS!!!!!! read more
