Ordinarily, I do not write reviews, but in this case, I find it necessary to publicize my experience and the consequences resulting from my visit to Peach Valley Dental. The fillings I received were undoubtedly the worst dental experience I have ever endured. Not only was I not as numb as I should have been, Dr. Dennis was extremely rough, constantly pulling and tugging on my face, neck and head. I was able to feel much of the poking and prodding during the filling. Dr. Dennis took off too much of my enamel and improperly rebuilt the wall of my tooth, causing me to undergo a redo of the filling THE SAME DAY, on the SAME tooth. A subsequent redo was also required because the she caused an extremely uncomfortable gap that is still present today. After the numbing wore off following the 2nd redo, I continued to feel discomfort, only to discover that my tooth was still high (I could not chew). Because of the anxiety and constant back and forth with Peach Valley, I decided to visit another dentist to have the tooth properly fixed. Upon checking, they IMMEDIATELY saw the high tooth and was able to fix it. They also informed me that due to the improper filling, I would potentially need a crown in the near future. When visiting the new dentist for my 6th month visit, I was informed that I would in fact need a crown because of how the fillings were installed. Now, I am forced to spend hundreds of dollars on two crowns as a result of improper fillings performed by Dr. Dennis. They did remove all remaining fees for the filling costs, but it does not make up for the emotional and physical distress and the delayed costs resulting from the crowns. DO NOT GO HERE. Would give this place zero stars if possible. Dr Tina Champion was filling in for the one dentist listed on the website (who got good reviews) that I expected to see. Long story short, she told me I had 3 cavities without taking x-rays- I was a little suspicious of her long treatment plan when I had gone to a dentist 6 months before that and been fine, so I went for a second opinion: I have ZERO CAVITIES. She took advantage of my naivety as a student with dental insurance, and I almost let her drill my perfectly healthy teeth. What painful, unnecessary things she would have done to my teeth I am afraid to think about. She is entirely fraudulent and I will be reporting her and this practice to my insurance company so nobody has to go through this. read more

This business is now close and it's for numerous reason. Kelle Dennis is awful. This woman is by far the worst dentist I've ever been to. I got a crown done by her and 1 month later it falls off. I've been having issues since then and now I'm with a new dentist and can't even get a new crown because of how much damage she's done to my mouth and it cost so damn much to fix it read more

The ONLY reason I even went to Peach Valley Dental is because I needed a new dentist. Unfortunately, my regular dentist closed her practice and left the state. I decided on Dr. Dennis and her practice. Truthfully, I was hesitant to go back for additional services after the initial visit. But I needed to have my routine periodontal cleaning and I decided to give Peach Valley a chance. I should have listened to my intuition. I received my perio cleaning and that was uneventful and okay. Afterwards, Dr. Dennis filled a large cavity for me and that went well. However, her chairside manner and demeanor is mediocre and lukewarm. But even with that, I was okay and willing to return for additional services. After all, I'm not looking for friends, just a competent dentist. Here's what made my decision not to return easy: I have been receiving letters of denial for a treatment plan that her office kept sending to my dental insurance. I called Dr. Dennis' office today to advise them that I had cancelled my dental insurance until January, when I would then reinstate it and come back in to continue getting work done. When I called, a woman answered the phone, "Good morning, Peach Valley Dental. How May I help you?" I identified myself - first and last name. I then asked who I was speaking with. "This is Dr. Dennis. How may I help you?" Seriously? That's how you answer your phone, Dr. Dennis? But I shouldn't be surprised because it matches your chair side presence. Then after I explained why I was calling, she put me on hold. A woman's voice come back to the phone and jumped right into the discussion. However, I knew it wasn't the same voice and I asked who I was talking with now. She identified herself as Qiana (office manager). Before I allowed the conversation to continue, I asked Qiana why she didn't tell me who she was when she got on the phone. I also asked her why I had to even ask who I was talking with in the first place. Don't professional places of business offer their names when patients/customers call? It's the little things that matter and it didn't take much to have me request my records be sent to me. I decided right there that I wasn't going to be returning for care at their office. Good dental care is necessary and important to overall health and wellness. However, it can be invasive, uncomfortable and just down right scary. So it's really important to feel comfortable with your dentist and their staff if you're entrusting your dental care to them. And I do not feel that way at Peach Valley Dental. To each his own - others will not have this same experience and that's fine. But it's my experience and I'll gladly find another dentist. read more

I've had a YELP account for years but never felt compelled to leave a review.... UNTIL NOW!! As you can tell by the one star rating, which would have been zero stars if possible, I am NOT at all happy with my experience with Peach Valley Dental. This office found me on Instagram (should have been my first red flag) and so I followed them back. It was around November and I wanted to use up my dental benefits for the year so I figured this was a sign. After some research, I discovered the staff consisted of all African American females - including the dentist! I was ecstatic about the opportunity for me to support a minority owned + operated business while getting my teeth checked. Unfortunately, my excited wouldn't last long. The staff was amazing. Everyone was very polite and I was always greeted with a smile. My first service was a debridement with the Dental Hygienist and she was phenomenal. She made sure I was very comfortable throughout the process and even provided helpful tips on proper care going forward. My dental exam revealed, according to Dr. Dennis, that I had a few cavities and needed some fillings. I specifically asked if I needed a root canal and she said NO! Therefore, I got the fillings as per her recommendation. Within one week, I experienced complications. I thought it was just a problem with the filling. Prior to visiting Peach Valley Dental, I had NEVER had a toothache -- EVER -- in my entire life. There was never hot/cold sensitivity. There was never pain in my teeth or gums. Until NOW! So, I went back to PVD and the dentist refilled the tooth that was bothering me. We hoped that would fix the problem - IT DIDN'T!! Wishing two days after the second visit, I called again and informed Dr. Dennis that I still had pain in my teeth and that's when things went downhill. She told me that she was referring me to an Edodontist for a root canal consultation. I was surprised because I didn't know I needed a root canal AND I also didn't know that she was unable to perform the procedure. This had never been communicated to me previously. She gave me the name of two Edodontists who could perform the procedure and I followed up with them. Because this office is NOT affiliated with ANY dental practice that can perform root canals, my Edodontist would NOT accept the dental X-rays that I had just gotten done a few weeks prior. Also, while waiting for an appointment with the Edodontist, TWO MORE TEETH that were filled in at PVD started hurting again. I couldn't eat and drinking anything cold was excruciating. I contacted PVD for assistance, they STOPPED responding to my calls and emails. Once the Edodontist saw the X-rays, and without even examining my teeth, he immediately showed me where I needed at least THREE root canals. THREE!!! ALL root canals were on teeth that were previously treated at PVD. If he could see the problem in an X-ray, there's no reason why Peach Valley Dental couldn't. There was NO need to get fillings done, and PAID FOR, when I actually needed root canals. However, Dr. Dennis treated me and BILLED me for services I didn't need. Why? Maybe so she could bill my insurance company. Maybe because she didn't see the actual problem. Maybe because she lacked the ability to determine the best treatment plan for my teeth. Either way, I went to Peach Valley Dental because I expected professionalism AND a trustworthy dentist. For a person who has NEVER had a toothache in my entire life this is a nightmare. Peach Valley Dental has done absolutely NOTHING but take my money which paid for services I didn't need. Thanks so much! read more

I had recently moved to the area and went for a routine cleaning. Dr. Dennis and her staff were kind and the cleaning went well. However, after doing X-Rays, Dr. Dennis said I needed 16 fillings. Literally a filling for every molar. She pushed for me to get them done quickly and it sounded like my mouth was in horrible shape. As someone who regularly sees a dentist and good oral hygiene habits, I was shocked. I went to another dentist for a second opinion. He said that he did not understand such an aggressive approach, that I only needed 3 fillings for some very minor cavities in difficult to clean areas. Additionally, when I requested Peach Valley to send my X-Rays to this new dentist, they did not send actual digital copies of the X-Rays but pictures of the X-Rays on copy paper, which is fairly unprofessional. My procedure at Peach Valley would have cost over $1000 with insurance for unnecessary treatment. It seems to be a fine place to go for a routine cleaning or check up, but I would not trust them for most other dental work. read more

Sure, you're getting your teeth cleaned or whatever, but I promise you'll leave with a smile on your face. Whatever your schedule, they have a time open for you. I have used this Practice When Doctor Dennis was there and she was a Doll. However since i dont have bad dental problems i hadn't been back in a long while. So when my front tooth cracked i remembered how nice she was to me and i went back. Well to my surprise she was no longer there. So i went with the new staff. The Doctor was very sweet and professional. The staff seemed nice too. But i didnt realize for a crack front tooth i would actually have my tooth shaved to receive a crown. I had never had problems with my teeth other than this front tooth cracked. The young lady who was the Doctors assistance told me i would receive a crown and she never told me my tooth would be shaved. So i was not aware of this. After it was done i was so surprised and upset. But the Doctor came in and did the procedure. Afterwards the Assistant put my crown on. I paid with my FSA card and thought that was it. I left the office. To make a long story short. The temporary crown fell off and when i called i was told to go to the store and get some glue. I did ,but it didnt work. I asked to come back in to have them put back on, I came back 2 times and still the crown fell off. This was by 2 seperate assistants. I finally made appt for the Doctor to do it. And she did, she super glued the temporary tooth. And it's still in. But to my surprise they tried to charge me again for the whole procedure when i had already paid that first time and so i disputed it at the front desk. So the lady who was at the front desk checked the records and reduced the price because I couldn't understand if i paid for the tooth the first time why would they charge me again when i came back. I never went back because i felt they were all about the money and the services wasn't provided to me that i should have originally received. Now they are closed for unforseeable reasons is what they texted me to advise me. Now they put my name into the collections department which is now on my credit. How can Black people do this to other Black people. But i realize that this is probably why their office has closed! What a Shame People. You all Need to Do Better! read more

LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!! I've never been to the same dentist ever in my life and Dr Dennis has been my only dentist for the last 2 years. The ENTIRE staff is always friendly and down to earth. Never had any issues with scheduling , treatments etc. I love it and would HIGHLY recommend her to EVERYBODY!! surroundings always clean I never have been uncomfortable. Dr. Dennis was very condescending throughout my procedure criticizing my failure to floss effectively. She was heavy handed or maybe irritated with me and seemed to take it out on my mouth. She repeatedly told me I needed to step my game up and get it together. I'm a laid back person so I suppose she felt comfortable criticizing me without fear of rebuttal. I had a tooth pulled a few days ago and I am not a fan of any denti- ist at all and I never have been, and this experience was a little unnerving for me, but this was a good visit. Dr Dennis made sure I was in no pain, as she could tell I was so tense that she asked if she was hurting me and I replied no The office staff was pleasant and professional. Always check with your insurance before doing a procedure. Peach Valley Dental mislead me that they had checked with my insurance provider ahead of time. In fact, they did, but they still didn't tell it wasn't covered. Also, they are very expensive; their prices seem above average. read more

Dr. Kelle Dennis is the best dentist I've ever had. Been coming here for 3 years now. As a transgender woman I am always anxious front-office staff are gonna be weird to me--but not so here. All the staff are super professional and kind and never once have called me sir. The cost of services is very affordable--even with my budget-level school health insurance. Appointments are always available, and running on-time. Dr. Dennis is witty, kind and very professional. Likewise, her hygienist is a real gem--always willing to share info with me on how to improve my dental health. I tell all my friends from school to come here--you should too! read more
