came in for pedicure lady in first chair to the back started buffing my nails before even soaking... after soaking she quickly went over my nails w file where I had to ask for the cutilces to be done... then she took off too much of my nail on my big toe changing its shape completely when I only asked for the dead skin to be removed from the side of my toe! I complain and she just walks away... I ask will it be completed or should I just leave... they send another lady over to complete asking what is wrong as if it couldn't be seen.. she commencing to completing by trying to rush through where I the give her direction to clear the dead skin off my feet... she does such quickly polishes my nails and takes me to the chair... I pay.. and go to take my things to the car before sitting to let it dry and Ty e mother bleep comes out asking abt the slippers telling me it's 2 dollars!!!! I told that lady if she don't get out of my face abt these slippers! is it okay to come to my car and come bck for it to dry I yelled! she goes bck inside I was sooooo angry I went in my car and got my own slippers and changed right there leaving their 2.00 slippers at the expense of horrible pedicure experience and now the polish!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK AND HAVE BEEN GOING FOR YEARS PRIOR TO THIS!! This place has no bells n whistles. If your the type that wants to see fleshy opened packages of filers and cuticle pushers and sanitized nail clippers you may need to choose a different place. I've always been a gal going to the neighborhood nail salons.!I'm from Brooklyn and if you know, ya know. I've never had an issue, never gotten an infection. Step right up' spin the wheel! I would not recommend this place. They are extremely rude. The first chair lady does not have any hospitality. Came for a filling and to replace a nail, she decided to remove my nails without me asking saying it will cost the same. One nail was difficult to take off and she started hurting me and cutting my finger in the process. I told her to stop and I will remove it myself. Because of her being rough, she broke the nail and told the next person who was doing my nails that I broke it. Came after breaking some nails on my old set, I expected task and last minute but they were attentive. As I walked in the door a staff member greeted and seated me to get a full set($25) and pedicure ($18) right after. COVID measures are in place with everyone wearing masks, plastic dividers between stations and plastic baggies over the pedicure sinks . The color I choose was a Garnett red(amazing), it wasn't runny so I know they are not diluting the colors with acetone and it dried quick. read more

I give places like this multiple chances just in case they were having and off day but as "professionals" they are just OFF in general. For my birthday I asked them to show me a design on ONE nail so I can know if I like it in which they said I couldn't. a few nails in I stoped them to see it and it was Horrible. They charged me $80 for a fill in, 1 color and the color I stated I didn't like. If 1 finger was done as I requested I would've seen that it was Horrible and stopped them immediately. I'm so disappointed. This is my second time here. I went yesterday (January 22,2021) at around 7:50 pm for a gel pedicure with a fillin on my big toe. ($43) and today is January 23rd, 2021 it's 3am. If you come for a temporary fill in that's cheap this is the place for you. If you want a long lasting manicure that lasts more than 3 days, this isn't the place for you. My worst experience here was asking for chrome nails. Biggest mistake ever. One of the male techs started doing my chrome nails and was taking his time doing a good job. However soon enough the female manager, told him to go work on pedicures as more women started to come in asking for pedicures. She then took over doing the gel on my nails, rushing, making them messy, bumpy and uneven, and then piling more gel to fix her rushed mistakes. In return, I lost all shape of my nail, ended up with a thick uneven mess, with air bubbles. When pointing out that my nails have: no shape, are too thick, and are filled with air bubbles, the lady responded with "color 1 hour". I never once mentioned anything about the color! She completely pretended to not understand me, as the terms I mentioned are so familiar to someone who's been in the nail business. She kept repeating "color 1 hour" talking over me. I had no choice but to pay and leave. All they want here is your money, no quality whatsoever. Even the older women were complaining about their pedicures being rushed, and utensils not being cleaned properly. Spend the extra dollar or two and get your money's worth. The nail techs here prioritize getting you in and out the door as fast as possible rather than doing a thorough job. Even when getting a regular fill in I had to remind them to file my shape and my nail polish started to wear off after only a few days. read more

I was very disappointed the day before my appointment i went in and asked if they could do SNS powder and tips with the design that I showed the nail tech. They told me $50 and to come tomorrow. The next day I went and there was little to no color options, my nails were bent and crooked. The nail tech said she would fix it and she never did, she yelled at the other workers multiple times and mid way through she told me that it will cost me $65 in total bc I had 5 color. She completely denied that she told me $50 the day before, she rolled her eyes many times and sighed even more. At the end she told me $75 in total and my nails have marks on them I will never go here again. She left me there multiple times to do other clients and she did this to another lady that was getting a pedicure and already had her Feet in water. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

As far as the area goes, this place is the best I've come across. It's small, but they staff so that they can accommodate walk ins comfortably. I called ahead for a pedicure and they were ready as soon as I got there, even though there were also four other people receiving services. The color selection is large with varying quality, and I wouldn't recommend it for an OPI addict. They only have three colors in the brand- gold, silver, and hot pink. There are dozens and dozens of colors in Essie. I hadn't had a pedicure in a while and this girl went to WORK. The massage chairs were surprisingly good and all her tools were fresh. She did a great job on the callouses and moisturizing. The foot massage was short but good, and after all, I didn't spring for the spa pedicure. The price was a steal for the quality - and the hot pink OPI suited me, so bonus! I will definitely be back. read more

Okay, so I came here for the THIRD time to give this place another shot because to be honest this salon is very clean and the only decent looking place in my new area. I had an excellent experience this time around. I came on the weekend at about 11 am and got to sit down with a tech promptly. I got an acrylic filling + broken nail fixed for just $16. The tech, Amy, was very accommodating and made sure my set looked pristine. Without me asking, she even fixed a few errors that the last crappy place did to give my nails a more natural shape. I was really happy to find this nail salon. Most -- actually all -- nail places within walking distance from me look gross and low quality. I went 2 weeks ago for a gel mani. I didn't have to wait long. My issues are: 1) language: it's weird because my tech asked how long I'd had my previous mani and I responded and elaborated that they looked so horrible because I had been in the water everyday on vacation. But then when I asked her how when the business had opened she told me she didn't really know English. And this barrier became and issue and she over snipped my cuticles and didn't understand my directions. You need to hire people that speak sufficient English to communicate with customers about the services they perform, period. And I also don't really like when techs have extended conversations in another language while they're working on you. It's rude. 2) quality: the mani itself was neat but she pretty much only put one coat on. The second "coat" was with hardly any polish, almost just for show. Like, "Hey, look at me! I'm putting on a second coat -- I really am!!" It was the thinnest gel mani I've ever gotten and 3 of my nails have broken since I got it. My nails NEVER break when I have gels on. I truly think they're trying to be stingy with the product. The $20 price is excellent but just because they chose that price doesn't mean it's ok to skimp. Either raise the price a little a give me a real gel mani or call it what it is so I know I'm getting a one-coat mani. I'm going again today with instructions for a full second coat and I'll update my review with the results. read more

I wanted to like this place, especially since there seems to be a lack of quality nail salons in the immediate area. But unfortunately my search goes on. I came in on a weekday for a manicure and pedicure, and didn't have to wait. I do have sensitive feet, but I wasn't very happy that the girl was PULLING at my cuticles with the nipper. I had a bad feeling about it, thinking that the nippers must be dull if she's pulling with them. It made for an uncomfortable experience, and I worried that she was going to cut me... AND SHE DID CUT MY TOE. I was very unhappy about this. Cutting me with dull instruments is a guarantee I'll never be back, even though she apologized a number of times and took $2 off the bill. When she did my manicure she also pulled at my cuticles with dull nippers, even though I told her it was uncomfortable. Pesky language barrier. Sigh. read more

So I decided to try a new nail salon in my neighborhood. Here is my review. PROS Clean Quiet Comfy Doesn't smell like acrylic, even though I'm here for a refill. #hypocrite Accepts debit and credit cards CONS Not enough workers. When I walked in there were people waiting ahead of me for pedicures. Four nail stations and four pedicure stations were unmanned. Kinda silly business decision on a Saturday at 5pm in Flatbush, or anywhere really. Charges me $2 fee for using my debit card...in 2014. Didn't really like the finished product. I got a French manicure and the tips began to fade and chip a day later...with a gel overlay that I had to pay $5 for. The reason I get gel is to make the paint last as long as possible. (It usually lasts 2-3 weeks.) Also I wasn't that impressed with my pedicure either. I paid extra for callous removal, expecting my feet to be baby smooth. They were teenager smooth. I could have done a better job at home. Bottom line. I felt like I was trapped in Angelah Johnson's "Pretty Nail" skit, minus the humiliation. All kinds of extras were offered, some of which I bought in to. I feel I paid extra for the clean surroundings, which is worth something, but not the 3 hours I waited to get the job done or the $50 plus tip job. Will be going to the 'hood establishments that reek of acrylic and will bring a face mask along. read more

Meh...came here out of desperation. Nothing else was open at the time. I needed to remove my acrylic nails and receive a gel mani pedi. They tried to kill me!!!!! Lol while one woman worked on my pedi, two other workers grabbed each hand and proceeded to use a nail clip to cut off my acrylic nails. Ouch! My mani was done by an amazing artist and usually my nails last weeks, so not one nail was loose or easy to remove. It hurt so much I teared and screamed. This was war torture tactics! They don't soak off, claiming it's bad for your nails, but I can't imagine peeling the nails of one's nail beds are any better. I should preface this by saying that this was the first pedicure I'd gotten in NYC. I've had many pedicures in my life, but mostly in California. So maybe I'm spoiled, but in my opinion this was an incredibly "meh" experience. PROS: -The cost. The pedicure itself was $14, which is incredibly cheap in my experience. I tipped more than I usually would, because at those prices you can bet hardly any of it is going to the workers. -The pedi itself looked okay, and when I banged up my big toe, they fixed the polish. CONS -Cleanliness. They used the same nail file on me and my friend, and I wasn't super convinced that the instruments they were using had been sterilized recently. And the place was dusty. -Polish selection was cheap. I always go for OPI and they had maybe 4 to choose from. Lots of lesser brands, though. -Foot massage - WHAT foot massage? Mine lasted maybe 90 seconds max. This is at least 50% of why I get pedicures, so this was an enormous disappointment. For $14 you probably can't complain, but I'll be looking elsewhere for my next NYC pedi. I'd rather pay an extra $10 for better polish, a nice foot massage, and the peace of mind of knowing I'm not going to end up with a foot fungus from the experience. read more

So I wrote a review that last said it depends on who you get and I have more to say now. I went there asking if I could have my acrylics soaked off and I was told that I could. Then this lady(who I have had issues with more than once) starts clipping and pulling the nails off.... which of you don't know, hurts like hell. Then I told her that I was told that she could soak them off and she gave me an attitude. I was getting my nails redone and everyone else was busy so I had her do it. Because she messed up so badly on my nails before I was watching her closely. I noticed that she was cutting them so uneven and when I told her she kept giving me an attitude and saying something in another language. The other workers kept looking at me and laughing so I gave her attitude back and told her "if you have something to say say it... in English." Her attitude got so bad that I told her to find another worker and a male worker came over and corrected her job and finished everything up. I believe his name was Jerry or something. He did a great job and was very kind. He even apologized for her attitude. The female worker continued to sit with other workers and say things. I wasn't the only person that addressed her that night. She has a gross attitude. I don't know her name but she's the one that often does eyebrows as well. read more
