Food: 3.5. Came by for a Tuesday early dinner (4 pm). This place is located in a shopping center and the parking and car situation could be tricky during busy times. When we left around 5 pm, it was hard to back out of our space because of all the cars driving through. When we entered, we were promptly greeted and directed to a table. The place was not busy with diners but people were constantly coming in to get their carryout orders. Unlike some other Chinese restaurants I've been to, there are no complimentary starters like won ton chips or fried noodles. We ordered the sizzling rice soup, Mongolian beef, shrimp with lobster sauce and steamed rice. Pricing was very reasonable. Food came out timely and at the right temperature. Soup was brought out first. It was a nice portion for the size and there were plenty of nice sized shrimp. Soup tasted very good. The other items we ordered came out afterwards. Both were good, but otherwise nothing special. I ordered the Mongolian beef because someone told me it was very good. Service was good. Staff does not pack your leftovers but they do provide containers and a bag. Seating is only inside. There is no outside seating. Place is a bit old but comfortable. Service: 4 Ambiance: 3.25 Value: 3.75

Pearl East is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants EVER! Yes can you believe it??? Pearl East is in my top three best Chinese spots for authentic hole in the wall Chinese food and I would happily drive the LONG drive to eat here time and time again. Service: 5 stars. They hustle here and can get you in and out quickly which is awesome when I'm dining on a tight schedule. Also despite how busy it gets the food always comes out reasonably fast. Everyone is nice and my order has always been taken correctly no issue. They seat you fast and then you pay at the counter. Nice and easy. Price: you get bang for your buck here! The portions sizes are HUGE and for under $10 I leave full and happy as the food is delicious. I can't think of another dining experience as good as this one for a $10 lunch. They have lunch specials from the time they open until 3pm I believe so lots of flexibility to get in and get a cheaper meal. Now for the food: 5 star amazing Chinese food. Everyone knows this is my go to spot because they have some of the best egg foo young I've ever had. The Gravy is perfection & the soft noodle chow mien is to die for. My go is the lunch #2 combo. I've also tried the shrimp with lobster sauce and that was fantastic also. Another bonus, they have chili oil! Always available on the table. You know your in a good spot when the table is supplied with chili oil. I can't say enough how much I love this spot and I really hope you'll give it a try. Places like this deserve your business and we need them to stay open another 50 years please. Good Chinese food for cheap is hard to come by but Pearl East delivers a wonderful meal time and time again.

Highly recommend this place, a bit more budget friendly but their food is packed with flavor. Lunch specials start as low as $9 if Im not mistaken which beats other chinese lunch specials which start at $14. Thoroughly impressed with the service as well!!

Still coming out here for take out, I wish I could say the food is always consistently great but sometimes its different, I guess they have different cooks. But I can say the egg foo young is always good. Today I got Broccoli chicken, I should of stuck with the beef, but the Broccoli and sauce was great. I also ordered almond chicken, it was good, not great. Looks like they are getting loads of take out, thank you covid-19, hope they open up the dine-in soon. Customer service is always good.

Apparently this is chow mein and almond chicken.

I've heard about this place basically my whole life, and after my favorite Chinese restaurant, Pearl East, closed, I kept hearing people tell me, "Try New Ocean, they're the same owners." Well... I'm sorry, but there is absolutely no way this tasted like Pearl East. I ordered the orange chicken lunch combo. The food came out insanely fast. I literally went to wash my hands and came back and my food was already sitting there. It was hot, so I'll give them that, but the orange chicken and sauce just didn't taste fresh to me. The sauce was very runny and honestly tasted more like something I could grab from the frozen food section at the grocery store. Then came the bigger issue. I specifically asked what vegetables came in the rice because I did not want onions. I was told peas and carrots. My food came out with a LOT of onions. I was pretty grossed out because I had specifically asked beforehand. I told the server and, to his credit, he offered to let me leave without paying. I appreciated that. But when I reminded him that I had specifically asked about the onions, I was told it was the kitchen's fault. I understand mistakes happen, but I ordered based on the information I was given. Maybe I caught them on a bad day, and obviously everyone has different tastes, but after hearing so many people recommend this place, I honestly don't understand the hype. And as someone who absolutely loved Pearl East, I'm sorry but this was light years away from Pearl East for me. I wanted that old Pearl East flavor and unfortunately I just didn't find it here

We were promptly greeted upon entering and directed to our requested booth. We chose their buffet which, at around 12 noon on a Wednesday, is $16.45 per person. Buffet is a nice size with a variety of common dishes like orange chicken, kung pao chicken, chow menu, sweet and sour pork, pot stickers, egg rolls, and mushroom chicken. I was surprised that they used styrofoam plates...making so much waste. The buffet was...odd. Random Chinese food with American food and taquitos. The food didn't have proper name plates for them so it was kind of a guessing game, and the ones that did weren't even labeled correctly. The food was okay. Not the best Chinese food I've had. They were all cold by the time I went back to my booth. They had steamed bao buns with NOTHING in it. It was just the bun. The only good thing there was the sesame balls. The sushi bar seemed sketch, so I didn't get the sashimi. They had a kid probably 10 years old, working at the sushi bar, playing on his iPad. Is that even legal? It was just so random and all over the place. Random stars on the walls and in the bathroom. I won't come back and I won't recommend this place to anyone. I should have read the reviews before I came here. Not worth $23.

When we got there I got a small combo that was 2 items, Chow Mein and Orange Chicken. I looked at the prepared pans with all the foods and wasn't too thrilled about what I saw. Got home in 5 minutes opened up and started chowing, my only intention was too eat half because I had surgery a few days earlier. The Chow Mein was just okay, I love Pearl East Chow Mein 2nd would be Panda Express. The Orange Chicken was good, both items were warm at least it wasn't cold. Combo Express had an incident in the 90's and I had wondered what had happened after that, I googled it and read the same news as I remembered it. I guess if your in the mall and had a craving for Chinese this would help, but if your home and you need to order take out or delivery then go for your go to Chinese regular.

I haven't been in a while and I love Panda but after reading the reviews on here for this location and noticing that nothing has been changed for well over 6 months I feel that this may cause me to go to a different Chinese place. We stood and waited for 20 minutes with 20 different people waiting for their food as well. There was a manager there she was doing all the order taking and what appeared to be all the order filling and nobody else was doing anything while the food just piled up in a big cluster just before the register, besides the cooks there were people standing around, seemed they were scared to do anything because the manager was so intimidating. It was clear that she was not training anyone how to do anything. The minute she left and went in the back room with the managers of the location all the employees went back to work. I'm not sure why they are running this Panda different than other pandas but something's got to give. The girl at the counter gave us one cookie in our bag and no forks I wasn't sure which one of us wasn't supposed to get a cookie. Bad business, bad service comes from bad management.
