This is my kids' absolutely favorite boba shop. There's a fantastic variety of flavors which you can customize or order premixed and they've got hot drinks too, which is a great plus. The boba is soft not chewy and the flavors are great. Service is friendly. It's a small shop so there isn't a lot of indoor seating in the cold weather but when it's warm you can hang out outside.

A cute little spot inside the plaza. With only two people staffed, and a rush of people, it took a bit for us to get our drinks. My husband ordered a chocolatte with cocoa and sea salt with boba. I ordered an avocado smoothie with extra boba. We wish there was an option to adjust the sweetness level, not sure if they have milk alternatives. The drinks were overall pretty tasty, but I wouldn't say my avocado smoothie was true to taste, and very sweet. I would come back again and try a milk tea instead.

As others have said: staffing and wait time is the biggest issue here. Don't expect to get in and out. We went on a Wednesday afternoon - three sets of customers waiting ahead of us had already ordered and it took twenty minutes from order to out the door for us. Also disappointed that the website menu doesn't reflect what's actually available. So don't expect to try the dessert boba waffles :( this was disappointing. All that being said, this drink is amazing and I've been searching for quality bubble tea since moving here. I've finally found it, will just need to plan accordingly.

Very cute décor. The interior is messy though. They definitely need more staff to keep up with keeping tables and floors clean and keeping drinks coming out. I came in on a weekend midday so I expected it to be a little of a wait, but there was no one in front of me in line. Somehow it still took 30 minutes to get my single drink. The boba was a little sour so it didn't compliment my strawberry matcha drink well. I asked if the taro boba was a flavored tapioca and they said yes, but it definitely is not the same consistency. I did get one out of my drink and it is flavored tapioca I guess, just not the same consistency at all. I'm disappointed in the drink and the location.

Updated Review: I haven't been to Pearl Tea in a while and finally decided to stop in today after craving boba, and was disappointed to find out they were under new ownership. I don't know when this happened or why but the menu has completely changed and unfortunately, not for the better. I was looking forward to getting my usual and favorite but once I realized that wasn't an option, decided to try something new. I ended up ordering the Creme Brûlée Boba, as the employee said it was their most popular. After I paid, it dawned on me to ask what kind of milk was used and she stated whole milk, which never sits well with me - so I asked for oat milk and she wanted to charge me another $1 for the modification... usually, I don't have an issue paying extra for a substitution or modification but I felt $1 was too much and my card doesn't allow back to back transactions at the same merchant within a short span of time. So I had to settle with whole milk, which as I knew, didn't sit well. The drink itself just tasted like sweet milk, nothing special and lacked flavor. The boba... highly disappointing. They were overly chewy but in a soggy gummy bear kind of what and completely lacked flavor. Although the drink was disappointing, the Customer service was good. It wasn't busy like it used to be, so I was in and out within five minutes. I'm sad Pearl Tea changed ownership and now have to find a new boba place.

Just ok bubble tea! I got Jasmine with non-dairy soy milk. The boba was a bit stiff so was probably sitting around a bit. They also didn't offer hot drinks and didn't accept card. Non dairy milk was an extra $1, too. So it felt standards at other stores aren't the status quo here which was a bit disappointing. The inside is really cute and they had stuffed animals, though. Perfect for folks wanting to post on Instagram and stuff.

Solid all the way around. Authentic boba in GH. Happy to return. Parking and food. What more could we ask for?

They have most of your classic milk tea flavors, but it seems like the focus is mostly on the fruit teas.

The reality is it was the worst cake I have spent over $20 for. Certainly the worst I actually paid $65 for. I have attached a picture of the cake from their website that I thought I bought and pictures of the cake I paid $65 for. What you will see is the lemon filling is not the same as the pictured on their website. There is a bubble of air over the lemon filling. What you can't see is the taste. I picked this up yesterday afternoon (Tuesday). I expected a fresh cake. This cake tasted as if it sat around for several days. It could be that it was so old the filling went flat. The frosting didn't have a real buttercream taste I am used to getting from a bakery cake. As noted, I have added photos, you be the judge. I think for $65 the cake should be fresh and the frosting should not taste like it was made with Butter Flavored Crisco. If I could have found an address listed I would have taken this cake back to them for a refund.

They have a variety of different flavors with at least one non-dairy option, with prices at $5 for one scoop. My husband and I opted for the $10 ice cream flight because why not? We tried the: Vanilla, Peach & Mango Sorbet, Mint Chip, Blackberry, Cotton Candy and Cookie Monster. While we enjoyed all the flavors, our favorites were the Blackberry and Peach & Mango Sorbet - they were both so refreshing! I want to note that since this is just a small ice cream cart, there is no seating directly around it (minus the one bench outside the store). However, these ice cream scoops are perfect for on-to-go snacking while you explore Gig Harbor's waterfront area.

I know they do not have regular open hours for just walk in purchase, but rather, they're custom order type business, but I have yet to place any custom orders so I cannot speak to that experience. What made me write this review is how accurate the owner (Brianne) described cake and desserts in the description and the baked goods taste matched 200% of the description. The pistachio cake was out of the world, so was the whoopie pie!!! I got to meet Brianne in person and she was very friendly, and was kind to explain everything about each of her baked goods she had out that day. I've tried their baked goods from pop tarts to cookies to housemade Twinkie and the creation and taste are unmatched. Single serve baked goods were more on pricier side, but well worth every bite. I would definitely order custom baked goods from here, knowing the quality and taste of products from this shop!!! Currently, you can find Spilled Butter baked goods at Cosmonaut coffee, Outer Dark Coffee, and at Tacoma Farmers Market (also known as Tacoma Broadway Farmers Market) from time to time. Enjoy!!!

Apparently lots of other people did to and also it must frequently that idea in town as it was quite busy. We were informed that there was a wait but it wasn't a bad one and the restaurant looked highly enticing so we put our names on the list. When we were called we sat at the bar. Which was fine... we weren't about to be choosey. We ordered our food and we enjoyed immensely when we got it. I got a waffle with strawberries and cream which was amazing! The waffle was perfection, the fruit was fresh. Just wonderful! I also saw breakfast potatoes and they looked great too so I ordered some of those too. No big surprise... they were excellent! Steve and I both got a Bloody Mary and it was so good! It had a nice, spicy kick to it and was great! Some mornings call for a Bloody Mary and this one fit the bill nicely! Steve got a great tasting omelet and he had no complaints either! It's definitely worth the wait to get a table... not a shred of doubt with that.
