In dire need of new prescription eyeglasses when I've realized my eyes are second guessing alphabets, fonts, and numbers. Bye NEX Optical. Pearle Vision is the first location in Honolulu that opened in the same spot which is part of Navy Exchange Mall since December 2021. Business hours are Mondays through Saturdays 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and closed on Sundays. Other locations are available on mainland and great for military that PCS. They offer eye exams, accept lens prescriptions for eye glasses from optometrists, military discounts, and promotions. If you have vision insurance, first check with staff to ensure your network provider offers coverage. 5/5 for excellent customer service. Staff provided a glass holding tray for possible frame selections. I didn't feel rushed at all. I found three possible frame choices. Narrowed my choice to which style provides the most lens coverage for my eyes. 4/5 for frame prices. Perused through all the women and men frames. Cheapest frames priced at $99 for no namers. If you're looking for anything cheaper price wise, you will not find it here. I didn't look at prices for kids and youth frames. 5/5 for wait time. When I placed my order on Saturday, I received phone call the following Friday indicating my glasses are ready for pick up. Not bad for waiting period of six days. I've experienced longer wait times of two weeks under different company. Not kidding. Final product includes a case, dual purpose microfiber cleaning cloth and holder, three pre-moistened lens towelette. Recommended by staff to place dual purpose microfiber cleaning cloth and holder in washer once a week. I'll just handwash it to preserve the product. Bring your military ID and vision insurance.

I haven't gone to see him in close to 4 years so I have no idea. In the search for a new eye doctor that was near me Downtown Vision came up and with really good reviews. Being the holiday season they were busy so it took a month to be able to get an appointment on my day off but it was well worth the wait. Dr. Chun and his wife Mia are terrific! They're both extremely personable and I felt welcomed from the moment I stepped into their office. I ended up getting a pair of progressive bifocal glasses that I can use for work and close reading. I also had my regular distance lenses replaced on my older set and I couldn't be happier with both of them. I have no hesitation recommending them if you're in need of eye care.

Large selection of glasses too. So glad I switched over to Dream Vision Eye Care! The only minor caveat is that they have you browse their glasses selection after dilating your eyes, which made it a bit difficult to choose properly. My advice is to come in earlier to browse, or come back another day as parking is free/validated. Thank you!

I always feel sorry for whoever has to help me. It usually takes me 45-60 minutes. I tend to get the same style. I know what I like. I warned Maria that I take a long time to find one, but also showed her my two glasses that I currently wear. I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to bring me 8 -10 similar styles. I was shocked that I found one that I liked within 15 minutes. Maria is very good! Dr Poon found a retinal hole/tear on my eye. I am going to Pali Momi right now to laser repair it. I will go back for contact lenses as well.

My eyes were red and inflamed and nothing I did helped overnight to stop the swelling. It literally went down south within 24 hours. I did a quick Yelp search for doctors around kaimuki. If not, I would have probably just tried urgent care. I stumbled about this Yelp page and noticed it was nearby and open late so I could hopefully get an appointment later in the day. Luckily for me - they took me as a new patient and I was squeezed in towards the end of the day. The office is on the second floor in the kaimuki plaza building across the two major municipal lots. They advised me to park in those lots - the meter one is actually cheaper than the one next to it. I then checked in, gave my Id and insurance card and answered a few questions on a iPad, then met with Dr. Richard M. He was very nice and patient for the first meeting. It went fairly fast and I was out of there within 30 minutes. My eye drops were sent to a nearby pharmacy and was ready to pick up when I got there. I did a follow up appointment today to see how my eye and face was doing and it is so much better than 2 days ago! I'm so lucky to have gotten a last minute appointment because I really don't think that my swollen eye and face would have healed on it's own if I didn't go.

Once I submitted their online form, I got a call back and Robert left me a detail message including pricing. He said to go in for Aiea location for the consultation. The day I went in, the office looked really cluttered and unorganized. I saw muliple personal items of the staffs just left around in the office... When I was doing the eye exam, I could not see well on one eye, was wondering why....then after a while I figured their machine lense was dirty, and I had to tell the Dr. it was the lense. I have never had that happen to me at an eye doctor before. The price I got over the phone was 4100 dollars for military dependent. My friend who was also a military dependent at the time paid 3800 for both eyes. I negotiated with the Dr. and he said he could do it for 3900. A month later, I got a bill for thier FREE consultation priced over $240. I was stunned because on the website it said free and even the day of the consultation, I made sure with the receptionist as well. (Matter fact I have never seen any eye doctor who does not do free consultation for lasik). I called the office to have the matter corrected numerous times and the lady who is in charge of billing never picks up her phone so I left voice messages every time, yet NEVER calls me back. I went on their website again and they clearly say free consultation. On top of that, now I found the price list for lasik and they quoated me higher price than what it is listed on their websited even after the negotiation. This business is a scam. I would never ever get anything done here if I were you. I totally believe the one star review someone else left about this Dr. office.
