Unprofessional pack of mirror, lamps, and random items without packing protection

Pros: On time and under budget. Cons: Inadequate packing, Unprofessional handling, Negligent The packing crew arrived on time and finished early. Maybe that should have been the 1st red flag. I questioned the adequacy of the packing but was assured by the Operations Manager that this was his best crew. On the day of delivery, we open the door on the back of the truck and there is broken glass everywhere. The glass was from my patio table that not properly packed and secured. Instead it was placed on top of the everything in the back of the truck. This was a cross-country move and the driver admitted the truck was leaking but made no effort to switch trucks. Nearly 40 pieces of furniture were damaged during the move. Except for the 4 nights stands and 3 dining chairs, every other piece of wooden furniture was damaged. Every wall-hanging picture either had shattered glass or broken/damaged frames. Lamps were packed in a planter box without protection. Lamp shades were on top of the packed goods in the truck resulting in stains and scuffs. Boxes were packed without protection including a damaged mirror loosely packed with lamp bases (also damaged), a vacuum cleaner, and garage tools. Another box included an unprotected computer monitor that was scratched when packed with hedge clippers, a mini chain saw, other garden tools. I've moved cros-country three other times and this was by far my worse experience. I didn't buy the extra insurance because I expected Pearson to provide a professional service. If after reading this you still decide to use Pearson, buy the extra insurance because they obviously don't care about your household goods. Or, better yet, save your money, give your buddies a couple cases of beer and you'd probably have a better experience. If you want to leave your email, I'll gladly share my 28 page PowerPoint file that I submitted for the insurance claim or any of the over 100 pictures I took. Good luck!

I have no idea why this biz doesn't have 5 stars I've used them over a dozen times for my staging business and they are beyond reliable, reasonably priced and efficient with my moving needs! They do such a good job finding friendly, sweet movers whom are always right on time. I never use really heavy furniture to move and think all should remember they are humans and extraordinarily Heavy items are always a risk to move. Just noting from other more negative reviews made here. I cannot sing their praises enough! Excellent moving team.

Let me preface that Pearson is affordable and great at communicating. As for their movers, they need supervision from a tenured mover. The day of pick-up, they damaged 4 different pieces of furniture along with 2 door frames. Never said a word to us. On the unloading day, we saw several different pieces damaged. Allen was great and took proper measures when it came to ensuring items can come into the home by removing doors etc. the other kids they had did not put items together, flipped furniture upside down when they should not have been and did not put pieces together like they said the would. The younger kids were on their cell phones a lot and when you are paying by the hour, this is frustrating. Allen was a work horse and wish he was there on loading day.

Wow, as you can see by their recent reviews, Pearson Moving is staying true to its level of service. "It's Crap." When I filed my claim for the damages they made to my $4000.0 frig, I outlined several problems, from the level of professionalism to the quality of work they performed. Do NOT hire Pearson's moving. The team of 3 very young movers with minimal experience neglected to take apart my frig correctly, thus damaging my frig in about seven places. At one point, my frig was stuck in the front door for 10 minutes, being pushed and pulled, when I noticed they didn't remove the nub screws left on the frig after they removed the handles; this was plain lazy and sloppy!!! By then, it was too late. The damage was done. Their Services Manager "Logan" told me he'd work with management to make this right and call me back on Monday, April 29th. That day came and went. I noticed a deposit had been made in my account of $200.00 + dollars. Since I'd not formally heard from Logan, I assumed, "Shame on me for doing that." This was for the poor moving services, and there was more to come from the claim I'd submitted for the damages they made. Boy, was I wrong! Not only did I have to track Logan down to get an explanation, but he lied and told me this was all they would do for me after stating he would make this right. I asked for a call from someone with absolute authority and was told I doubt I'll get one. @Kyle Pearson if you read your review, things aren't looking so good; perhaps you should reach out directly to your customers. This is NOT good business practice! I am an extremely disappointed customer. BTW - the treadmill is a whole other story.

Update... the movers dented the corner of my stairwell (actually dented the metal underneath the drywall/paint). I reached out to Pearson's and they said they'd give me $5 for paint (when my property management company is charging me quite a bit more of the damage). They then claimed it happened during my move into the property (without seeing the actual damage other than in pictures) and even with evidence of the wall perfectly fine 5 days prior to the move (clearly not a move in issue when I moved in March 2020) they still refuse to refund me for the cost to repair the damage. Pictures posted of damage and screenshots of pictures of the damaged area 5 days prior to the move (clearly not damaged) Also to add to owners response.... I was not notified 48 hours prior to my move I was texted 2 hours after they were already late saying they'd be there at 12 (I was scheduled for 7:30 move in, not 8) and they still did not show up until after 2:30. BEWARE of Pearson's (a company that tries to justify their poor customer service )

Sorry, this is so long!! We would give them a negative 10 if we could!! Not sure why it says California, we are in Arizona!! We hired Pearson Moving on a recommendation. The sales staff was professional and very helpful, so we had high hopes for a pain-free move. It started out good but after the first couple of hours, it was obvious to us that they were not in any hurry to get done. It took them over 5.5 hours just to get everything loaded, We only had them move furniture and none of the dressers had drawers in them, except one drawer that wouldn't come out but was empty, plus the cushions (about 10-15) from our outdoor patio set and one large (but empty) gun safe, again this was just get everything loaded. Then they discovered they did not have the tools needed to remove the handles from the refrigerator or to remove the hinges from the front door so that they could get the refrigerator out the door, so we had to go to the hardware store and to our neighbor for the needed tools, which cost us $30 at the hardware store. It took them 2 hours to unload and assemble the beds and put the mirror on one of the dressers, they didn't put the mirror on the other one, just left it against the wall. I had stayed behind at the location we were moving out of to clean so didn't know that the movers did not unwrap any of the chairs or tables, just left them sitting in the middle of the room, and that when they assembled the bed in the guest room they placed it is 4" from the wall and the Master bed is 6 1/2" from the wall. The bed in the guest room is easier to move against the wall but the Master bed needed to be taken apart to be moved due to the supports under it. We had the house we sold painted prior to listing it for sale and the movers had scuffed & dinged several of the walls and doorways in the home we were moving out of as well as in the new build home that we moved into and scratching the front of our refrigerator door. Since we were moving out of a house that was already sold we needed to have the damage at the sold home repaired immediately. The same painters that painted it prior to listing came out on an emergency call and fixed the damage as best they could and gave us a quote on the damage for our new home. Together they are $800, we paid for this out of our pocket. We did contact Pearson movers right away and they sent us a "Claim Form" which we completed in detail with photos of everything, their solution is...that they will provide us with 2 movers for 1 hour???? First, we are already moved and second and most importantly we would NEVER allow this company to enter our home or handle any of our belongings ever again!!

Just-In Time Moving truly helped me out of an emergency situation…read more I had originally hired another moving company, Not Your Husband Moving, and ended up in a terrible situation where I was billed for more than double the estimated hours for the move into storage and the move was not completed as originally estimated. I needed to get my household goods out of their storage quickly to stop the situation from getting worse. Just-In Time Moving was gracious enough to fit me into their schedule last minute. Their office was communicative, their estimate was thorough and clear, and the final bill matched what they estimated. The crew showed up on time, communicated throughout the day, and was professional, careful, and kind. This was not a simple move. They had to unload my furniture and belongings from storage crates, unwrap items that had been wrapped by the prior mover, take care with everything, rewrap my furniture, load it, transport it, and unload it into my new storage unit. They completed the entire job in 7.5 hours. By comparison, the prior mover had tried to bill me 16.5 hours for the move into storage alone. Just-In Time Moving did a fantastic job, and I am extremely grateful they were willing to help me on short notice. After the experience I had before them, their professionalism, clear communication, and honest billing meant everything. My advice to anyone hiring movers: read all reviews carefully, do not take online ratings at face value, check whether the company is listed with moversaz.org, review BBB ratings, and read how the company responds to 1-star and 2-star reviews. I wish I had done more research before hiring the first company. I am very thankful I found Just-In Time Moving when I did.

I've used Just-In Time Movers twice now and have had great experiences both times. They're…read morereliable, efficient, and clearly know what they're doing. I originally found them when I needed to move a piano and quickly realized that, based on the quotes I was getting, it was almost as expensive to move just the piano as it was to move the whole house. Thankfully they handled it with no problem. Both moves were smooth, the crew worked quickly, and everything was handled with care. Moving is stressful enough, so it's always a relief when the team you hire is organized and professional. Another reason I'm happy to keep giving them my business is that they volunteer their services for a food drive at a nonprofit I'm involved with. Seeing a company show up for the community like that really means a lot. Great service, dependable team, and a company that gives back. Hard to ask for more than that.

Long story short i received the second part of my shipment on August 5th. They never asked me if I wanted it split and when I called the office Tamera was rude and belligerent. When I asked for the general manager's name she responded I'm not going to tell you". I asked her to transfer me to his voicemail and she refused. The manager Chris did call me back later in the afternoon and assured me it was common practice to split shipments. I've moved 20 times during my husbands career and I knew that was a lie. He said he put necessities on the first half of the shipment and my late arrival compensation would be based on the arrival of the first shipment. His idea of necessities is different than mine. Unloaded were my Christmas trees and ornaments, ladders and tool box. What wasn't on the shipment were lamps, plates and clothes. Also he complained that he wasn't making any money on the move. I have damaged goods, 6 missing boxes and enough frustration from this company to last a lifetime. I give you fair warning NEVER use this company.

Our furniture was picked up on 6/14/22 in Gilbert, AZ and taken back to the warehouse. We were told that a truck was coming on 6/16/22 to pick up our stuff from the warehouse and it would arrive to us in Ohio between 6/21/22 - 6/28/22. It wasn't until 6/21/22 that I decided to login to our United account and get the status. To my surprise, our furniture had never left Arizona. I reached out to Ryanne O'Connor on 6/21/22 via phone and no one answered and I again reached out on 6/22/22 via phone and again no answer, so I finally emailed her on 6/22/22 for an update. During this time, no one from Aaction or United Van Lines thought to call us and let us know that our furniture was never picked up and was still sitting in the Arizona heat. After a week of getting the run around and the "we are trying to get another driver scheduled as soon as possible," my husband and I decided to reach out to United Van Lines and spoke with Sarah White who escalated our case. After several more days and no pickup date scheduled, I then reached out to Jason Mills (President of United Van Lines). At that point Sarah White notified us that our furniture was scheduled to be picked up on July 1st and delivered on July 6th by 8am. When I spoke with Ryanne O'Connor on 6/30/22 (this was prior to reaching out to Jason Mills and hearing from Sarah) she notified me that they would be picking up our stuff on July 1st and it would take until Tuesday 7/5/22 to 7/6/22 to load our stuff. Two to two and a half days just to load our stuff was ridiculous; especially since our stuff was already considered late and had been sitting in the Aaction Movers warehouse for 16 days. That is what prompted us to reach out to Jason Mills. It was because of us having Sarah White at United Van Lines escalate our case and reaching out to Jason Mills that anything got done. Our items were finally delivered on 7/6/2022, but to our surprise 20% of our items were missing and many items damaged beyond repair. As of today 7/11/22 we still do not have answers from either Aaction Movers or United Van Lines. The estimate between the missing items and damages total $15,296.96 I would also like to note that when the furniture left our house in Arizona it was wrapped in blankets but when it arrived in Ohio, there were several pieces (including our dining room table and bench that we just had refinished) that were wrapped in burlap. Why would anybody wrap any wooden furniture in burlap and why were our items unwrapped and rewrapped while they were in the warehouse? Shouldn't Aaction Movers have just left everything in the warehouse as was and loaded it on the truck once it arrived? In addition there were also several boxes with water damage and I'm not sure how that happened. In addition we were charged the full amount of $20,598.26 but based on the contract, (item 5 on page 3) states that "If only partial delivery of the shipment is made, the Carrier may not charge more than a prorated percentage of the total." With that said, we are missing about 20% of our items and they still moved forward with charging us the full amount instead of the prorated amount. Also, United Van Lines was 8 days late in delivering our items and per the contract, they were to deduct $100 per day late and they did not do that either.
