My uncle's transmission needed repair so we were like hey why not try Mr. Transmission? Bad idea. After the car was getting worked on THE FIRST TIME, we went to pick it up after a week and there was a piece hanging off his truck. It was not like that when it was dropped off lol like what? We inquired about it and they popped it back in. But how did it happen in the first place? Confused. We left and guess what? Next day, the truck is leaking fluid. Wow. So we take it back and tell them the issue and while we are there, the staff has an entire conversation about Trump, the police and how the world is going down. Talked about elections and the city. It was all just very weird. We are Black so it was an interesting time for them to have the conversation about the state of the country and the people in it. It was rude and we did not feel welcomed at all. After that interaction, we got the truck back six days later and guess what? Another piece was hanging off under the truck. Wow. Thought it would work but a few days later, more liquid is leaking. Two days after this, truck stops working. My uncle spent over $3,000 at this location and his truck is immobile. I have no idea why those chose to treat us like this but I hope no one else receives this treatment. Please pick another location if you want a kind and timely experience.

As a layman, AAMCO tells you that they will rebuild your transmission and you expect that they honestly will do that, however, they alleged that they rebuilt my transmission. I have three vehicles and just decided to start using the one that AAMCO repaired. The first thing I noticed was that the transmission was still driving in one speed and not shifting. I parked at a friend's home and when I decided to leave, the car would not shift in drive, instead it rolled back into the mailbox and scratched my car and twisted the mailbox. I had my car towed at my expense. Please, my fellow consumers, be aware of this AAMCO at 500 West Pike Street, Lawrenceville. It is just a scam when you charge for a service and you don't get what is promised.

When I went outside after the service, I immediately noticed a lug nut was missing. After looking closer, I saw that the wheel stud itself was broken - which I know for a fact was not damaged prior to the repair. When I contacted the mechanic about it, he did not deny breaking it and asked me to go purchase a new stud and lug nut, which I did right away. He said he would return to install it, but after that point communication became very unreliable. I texted several times with no response. When he finally replied "yes" to confirm he would complete the repair, he still never followed through. Since then, my messages have gone unanswered. On top of that, he told me the broken stud was "no big deal" and that he knows someone who drives around with multiple broken studs - which was extremely concerning to hear from someone responsible for vehicle safety. I don't feel comfortable driving with a broken wheel stud, and the situation has been left unresolved. I wish this could have been a positive review, but based on the lack of accountability, poor communication, and safety concerns, it cannot be.

Before selling my car, I decided to get a second opinion at CarMax. They found nothing wrong with the engine and ended up buying the car from me for $7,000. Being given incorrect information in that situation caused unnecessary stress and financial impact. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before accepting major repair advice from this shop. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business.

I have both good positive and negative regarding Ganns Automotive…read more Paul and Brian and staff are very nice they recently fixed my Caravan window which would not open or close. We did buy a car from Ganns several years ago and they honored the warranty had to brig it back several times. Unfortunately, the most recent experience the gasket they fixed for the Caravan fell off. I brought it back and they put it back on. Ganns did my last oil change. I am at a different auto center today because check engine light came on and asked them to do oil change. Ganns did it way to tight, and also big oil leak end result needed new pan and what was going to be a $150 is now $500. I shared with Brian the head mechanic what happened and he said we fix oil pans all the time. The manager where I am at said that is all he had to hear if they fix oil pans all the time the mechanic is not doing them right. This was clearly Ganns fault and I didn't bring it back to them because I need the car today and usually 2-3 days for Ganns to repair your car if your lucky. The one other experience I will share is that one time Paul could not figure out why the car would not start. I didn't mind paying a normal diagnostic fee but he was charging like $140 and no repairs were done which I thought was excessive. I did complain and he more or less asked me to leave didn't pay anything and that was not my intention . The bottom like I am done going to Ganns if I need to drive to Lilburn so be it.

I needed to get a parasitic drain test for my car, and Gunter Automotive was great! They communicated with me the whole time my car was with them, kept digging until they found the problem, and even worried about me when they realized what had happened. It felt like the employees here genuinely care about their clients, which is huge! A few more details: My car had been having issues for months, during which I was repeatedly taking it to different shops, auto stores, etc. Gunter Automotive found the problem within two days and charged much less than expected for the testing and fix. Really can't say enough good things about my experience here.
