The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the shrimp were generously portioned and succulent. The Alfredo sauce was creamy and rich, with just the right amount of garlic and Parmesan to enhance the overall flavor without overpowering the delicate taste of the shrimp. Each bite was a delightful blend of textures and tastes, making it a truly satisfying meal. If you're a fan of seafood pasta, Fattys Shrimp Alfredo is a must-try! The waitress was very kind and sweet. Nice environment.

I'd give this place like a 3/3.5. Went this past Saturday as an early Mother's Day outing. It wasn't packed so we were seated quickly. We had to move to another booth because there was water dripping from the ceiling and it fell on me twice. While it is a seafood restaurant I have to warn you about the amount of flies! Like omg I felt like we were swatting them away the whole time we were there which was very aggravating. We decided to order crawfish bread for appetizer. It was decent, but it wasn't hot (I don't think it cooked long enough) and I wasn't a fan of the way the crawfish looked (they were dark) wouldn't order if I went again. My mom got the chicken breast plate, I got the crab trap (substituted the etoufee for cream sauce), my dad had the redfish, and my grandma ordered the seafood napoleon (she got her sauce on the side). My mother and I enjoyed our meals. My grandma felt like her eggplant could've been seasoned more. My father thought his fish was kind of dry and wasn't a fan of the macaroni. As you can see it was a thick/hard layer of cheese on the top and he felt it lacked flavor. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. I noticed while we were there they have different specials throughout the week and they also have private dining which is a nice touch.

We have been here several times and have always had a nice time. The restaurant is clean and very modern. High ceiling and hard surfaces make it echo-ey so it gets loud when it is busy. The food is very high quality and fresh. They have the usual old favorites, fried seafood, po-boys, etc. but also some unique menu items. I had a peanut butter & jelly burger here one time! (Don't laugh it's not as weird as it sounds!) The food is kind of pricey but it's seafood and it's worth it. Today I had the Pistol Pete wrap and it came with a big pile of waffle fries - probably an entire potato's worth. They have a great selection of beers on tap. Our server was friendly and attentive. The lunch menu has items that are not on the regular menu. No descriptions, just a list of items. We asked about several and our server was able to describe them all in great detail. I was impressed with her, but overall the service was slow based on the small lunch crowd that was there. We have been several times now and will keep going back.

Very good service, good and fresh oysters. Nice atmosphere, friendly staffs. Excellent choice for Cajun dinner.

The Impeccable Seafood Platter is what we usually order, and it never disappoints. Everything is made fresh and cooked to order--always hot and full of flavor. In the five years we've lived in Slidell, Louisiana, there hasn't been a single time that the food wasn't absolutely delicious. The fish is perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp always tastes fresh and seasoned just right. Outside of the food, we also come for the sweet tea. I don't know who's making it back there, but it is consistently good every single time. The customer service is another reason we love this place. The ladies are always kind, welcoming, and attentive. They bring your food out to the table, check on you to make sure you have everything you need, and are more than happy to pack your food to-go if you can't finish it. For two people, we typically spend around $55 for the Impeccable Seafood Platter and two drinks--but honestly, it's enough food to feed about four people. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for fresh, flavorful seafood and great service.

MAY 2026 Anniversary Vacation Part 4A: NOLA Southern Grill…read morein Slidell, LA. We were in Oyster Heaven last night at NOLA Southern Grill. It's a Hidden Gem nestled in Slidell, LA. We like to sit at the bar in restaurants and chat with people. Last night, we enjoyed chatting with the bartender Carol and her friend who is another local. I started off with a killer dirty martini! Carol knows how to make a good one! She, the cooks and entire staff are so appreciated! They were a lot of fun. Carol was so nice, very attentive and saw to every need of her customers. They offer Happy Hour 3-6:00 which included OYSTERS, raw or chargrilled! So I had both...raw and chargrilled. Terry stuck with the grilled. The raw oysters were amazing! Plumper, meatier, creamy and mild and less briny than East Coast NC and VA oysters. These are the kind of oysters you also want to fry! They were so perfect and so delicious! Next came out the Chargrilled Oysters...drenched and grilled with a melted Parmesan, Garlic, Herb Butter Sauce and served with slices of warm, garlic French bread to sop up the hot butter sauce that pooled at the bottom of the tray. Oh my oh my oh my! Shut the front door OUTSTANDING! Terry and I relished every single bite, I may have been moaning as I kept saying how delicious they were. Perfection on an oyster shell. We shared 2 doz chargrilled plus I had a doz raw with cocktail sauce and freshly grated horseradish. I seriously think I could have had more oysters! Terry also ordered their fried mushrooms, best we ever had! We ate like Kings and Queens. Dragos is on our list to go to but if we don't make it there this time, I'm so happy with NOLA Southern Grill's chargrilled oysters, I'm good, I don't need to go. I would like to compare the chargrilled oysters though, we shall see. But in the meantime....move over Dragos! NOLA Southern Grill has entered the building! Let's what we can get into trouble with later today in NOLA. I have my list!

The restaurant itself felt a bit chilly near the windows, but the staff was very accommodating and happily moved us to a warmer table. Since it was later in the evening, they were out of a few menu items, but there were still plenty of good alternatives to choose from. I went with the New Orleans style beans and rice topped with a crab cake, which was a solid choice and very enjoyable. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Service was fast, the restaurant was clean and well kept, and even the restrooms stood out for being very clean. Overall, a good visit for New Orleans style food and an easy recommendation if you are in the area.

Copeland's - Slidell…read more I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was frustrating and disappointing. I went to Copeland's in Slidell with my daughter. She ordered an espresso martini during happy hour, advertised at $9, and it was ordered creamed (with Baileys). There was no mention of any upcharge with the first drink. When she ordered a second espresso martini, also creamed, the waitress then told us there would be an upcharge, mentioning $1 at the time, which we were fine with. However, when we received the bill, the upcharge was $7.99, nearly the price of the entire drink itself. When we questioned the charge, the waitress said she had told us there would be an upcharge but stated she did not say it would be $1 -- even though that was how we understood it at the time. This led to confusion and an unnecessary back-and-forth that could have been avoided with clear, consistent communication from the start. A manager was involved. She explained that she had recently been promoted and initially seemed unsure about making the decision, but she eventually did make it right. Still, the situation should never have escalated over unclear pricing. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. I took my food and cheesecake home, and on the very first bite of my cheesecake, I found what appeared to be a piece of plastic wrapper inside it. That is a serious food safety concern and completely unacceptable. Between the unclear drink charges, inconsistent communication, and a quality control issue in the kitchen, this visit was a big disappointment. Customers should never be surprised by pricing or worry about food safety. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves staff training and kitchen oversight.
