I've been going here for years. I always get great service. The guys are very knowledgeable, and their prices are more than reasonable. They have a special stand for eBikes because they repair a LOT of them. I bought some good Continental Ruban tires for my new Lectric Xpress 750 and they installed them for me. I came into the shop knowing a few things about bikes: price point, terrain, and my skillset/athleticism. To be honest, the cycling world is very overwhelming and intimidating. This shop is not that at all. The associate and owner were so down to earth and passionate about cycling. You could really tell how much they love the sport/hobby and are in the business to share their passion with others. I wasn't upsold or hard bargained. The owner ordered two sizes of the bike for me to try because he didn't have them in stock and I was in between sizes. He even helped me install the bike rack onto my car. I liked Pedal Pushers quite a bit! We showed up at Pedal Pushers on a very nice weekend. There were barely enough bikes for two people, which is probably a testament more to this place's popularity than to its supply. Still, it was a bit nerve-wracking. The bikes are pretty darn high quality - I'm not very versed in bikes in general, but what we got were perfect for the trail. I found the seat vaguely uncomfortable, but I find most seats uncomfortable, so that may not mean much. The building is directly next to the Baltimore-Annapolis Trail, so you can easily hop on once you rent a bike. The trail itself is pretty nice, though the scenery is lackluster in areas and the trail itself can be somewhat narrow. read more

This was not a busy time in the store- only 1 other customer was in the store. I watched several employees walk right past me!! Inner tube on my jogging stroller tire stopped holding air. I called here based on reviews, and I was told to come in anytime in the afternoon. The professional staff member had the tube in stock, replaced it, filled the tire, and I was out of the store in less than 10 minutes, which was great because I had my infant son with me. My wife is the bike person in the family to the tune of spending lots on her road bike. Me, not so much. I prefer something with a throttle. However, she is out on the bike trail 2 to 3 times a week and it is nothing for her to do 15 to 20 miles a session. When something happens, as it has in the past, she has wheeled into Pedal Pushers, for assistance and she has never been disappointed. Yesterday I needed to purchase a bike lock to secure our bikes to the hitch mounted bike rack and vehicle. I past at least one bike store and was within easy reach to its sister store down the road to get to Pedal Pushers and after I arrived there I could tell why my wife insisted I do so. You will too. I've walked in and totally been ignored when I didn't want to be (but to their credit, they were helping other customers). The shop is good for BMX and kids bikes. Rod is a good guy and stands behind his products and service. However, the technical ability of the shop is inadequate for more advanced riders (both mountain and road). I have taken my bikes in to the shop for check-ups, tune-ups, and repairs and I always find that they missed something or didn't quite do something correctly. If you're just going to look at kids bikes or get your old cruiser or hybrid tuned up, it is a great neighborhood shop. But if you're looking for technical expertise, the kids in the back are not what you need. read more

This is definitely a 5 star shop in terms of the service and family orientation. I've had several mountain and road bikes serviced here and they've always run well afterwards. They'll work with you too. I procrastinated and waited until the day before a big ride to get my bike serviced and they were able to turn it around for me even though it needed a ton of work (first service in 10,000 miles of riding). They're very kid friendly - they've got good kids bikes and are patient with little riders. I bought a kids trailer here last summer which has been great. The owner - Rod - was very helpful in explaining how to take it apart and put it back together and helped me load it in my car. The only downside is that it's a very small shop. If you're a serious roadie and want to see a wide variety of high end stuff, this is not the shop for you. They don't stock a lot in the $1500+ price point, but they do a good job servicing them. They also honest which is rare in a shop - I brought in an $8000 Specialized with a wheel problem and they told me where to take the bike (another shop) to try to get a warranty claim on it. I really appreciated that because most shops would have been happy to just take my $300 to service it instead of sending the biz elsewhere. One more positive... they let you bring your dogs in there.
