OK, so we chose this place cause it was closest to our hotel, but man, it proved to be a winner. The customer service was great, from asking us what kind of riding we wanted to do for our 2 hour rental, to getting down to the nitty gritty with detailed maps, all the way to setting up each of our bikes to match each of our body sizes perfectly. A full tutorial on the bikes --- in our case, a couple of like-new electric Aventon Level 3s --- came afterward, so we knew exactly what we were getting onto (and into). The bikes were flawless; nicely equipped (brake lights, hydraulic brakes, plenty of power) comfortable and well built, and our ride down Indian Bend Wash was really good fun, and a great way to see some of the hidden parts of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. The bikes came with helmets and locks too, and the guys even offered us waters. PedalJetz is a compact outfit, but it's well set-up, with modern equipment and qualified techs, and as a bonus, it's situated pretty close to the aforementioned bike trail. And even after I had a question about the billing a few days later, they got right back to me, so, yea. I do wish they had a bigger selection of smaller bikes, and the website's a bit vague on what you can rent, but that's really just a nitpick -- I'd totally recommend them. read more

Based on good reviews we drove 2 hours from Prescott to purchase e-bikes. Our $5k buying experience was terrible. When trying to decide on bikes they continually left us alone to take care of their rental customers. My wife and I were amazed at the terrible rude attitudes of both employees. We should have left! If that wasn't bad enough we are 2 hours away and when I called to set up the 100 mile checkup they would not let us schedule a time for the work saying "bring it in and we will see if we can get to it". We were not going to drive 4 hours "to see" if they could do the work. Now having 200 miles on our bikes they needed service for several issues. The mechanic did give us a time to come in but when we got there we waited 45 minutes to check in our bikes as he was busy with bike rentals. Three hours after our 10am appointment we got a call that our bikes were ready. When we got there he pointed to them and said "there they are" and walked away. These two employees have the most rude & nasty attitudes/customer service we have EVER experienced. The positive reviews MUST be coming from rental customers so SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF AGGRAVATION and buy your bikes at a shop that cares about customer service. read more

We reserved 8 bikes for a Sunday, when they are closed, someone got sick and couldn't make it, so we rented 7 bikes. Bikes were fun. When we go to pay he charges us for 8 bikes. I ask him why and he says because we made the bike unavailable when we reserved them. I get it if the place is busy, but there are 30 unused bikes in there. Anyway, the owners an ass and was a dick about it. The funny thing is is that I live locally and have friends in town a lot, so the next time I will use someone else to rent from. Seems very shortsighted to me. Anyway he should not have charged us for eight when we are not even in high season. I will not be going back. read more

I almost went to a different e-bike rental place closer to our hotel but noticed the reviews about customer service were bad so I went here instead and am REALLY glad we did. The guy was super nice and helpful. I was able to do everything on-line beforehand to reserve two bikes, pay, and fill out the waivers on-line to save time so that when we got there, we were able to quickly get our bikes and be on our way. The bikes have a phone holder and water bottle holder and he gives you a bottle of water. Bike helmets are also included no-charge. He takes the time to show you how to use the bike and then gives you great directions (with this huge on-screen interactive map in the store) to the greenway (or wherever you want to go). We lost one of the water bottles (and carrier) and he was really cool about it and didn't charge us even tho we offered to pay. The bikes are in excellent condition- we had no issues at all. But if you do, all you'd have to do is call him and he would come pick you up. Highly recommend. I would definitely rent here again if I come back to Scottsdale. read more

I've been meaning to write this review for the last week & a half. I cannot go to explain what a great experience this was! My bf & I were staying at a local hotel down the street & wanted to get out and do something fun. We decided to rent e-bikes. We called & Jordan was very helpful on the phone & in person. After the call we headed right over 20 minutes later! Super nice guy! We decided to rent the bikes for 2 hours. Also, the prices were great! Not to forget to mention, he also let us use the bikes for an extra hour & a half free! We also had no idea where we were going to ride too & Jordan recommend a nice paved bike trail. We were provided water before our ride & the phone holder attached was really helpful too. After we returned the other Jordan was SO nice. I was SO hot and not use to that Arizona heat. He gave us some water which was nice because I thought I was going to pass out haha. He recommended some great places to go out & eat. After we left he said to call back anytime we want to do this again & that they can look us up in their system. While visiting phoenix I researched e-bikes online for an Aventon dealer.Pedaljetz was listed as having the bike I was interested in. Jordan ( sales mgr) met me at the door and told me about the bike and made sure that it was the right bike for me. He went in-depth on the features of the bike and others similar to it. I went on a test ride and decided to purchase. He assured me Aventon was a great company and how they covered their warranty claims. Love the service at Pedaljetz! On 2 occasions my ebike has needed service and even though my bike was not purchased from them they have come to the rescue to replace the display control panel. Excellent service and pricing. Today the handlebar clasp would not lock so I could ride it. The mechanic came out to my car with a small tool and tightened the clasp and I was back in business to make the ride with friends and did not charge. You made my day. I used Yelp and sent out some estimate requests for "Mobile Bike Repair" businesses in the area and Jordan @ PedalJetz was one of the first to get to me, had availability within 2 days and followed up with me with thorough communications from start to finish. I have a rental property in the Old Town Scottsdale area, and my current guests wanted to use our 4 Cruiser bikes - perfect time of year, so yeah! But my bone-head had not checked them prior to their arrival (as no one really used them for the last year) and I (and my guests) found that 2 had flats and some others needed some adjustments. Jordan came me an estimate with very fair rates and suggestions. He was on-time, quick and made it all super convenient and easy for me and my guests. I even got a text from my guests about an hour later saying "The bikes are MUCH better and more comfortable to ride, thank you!"
