    These cortados are fantastic

Pasadena, CA Barista service and drink quality and accuracy has been way off on last three visits. New barista is not customer service oriented and service seems harried. Taking a break from this location.

There isn't a Peet's near where I live, so whenever I get to one (like, once or twice a year), it's always a monumental occasion for me. I have a particular ask for my drink, and the employees accommodated my request. They're very nice, the store is clean, the baked good are delish. There is a cute rose garden right outside, make sure to stop and smell the flowers before you leave. I recommend this location. A++ very nice atmosphere and nice employees.

Located across from Pavilions. Can make a stop here after grocery shopping. Plenty of seating and service is good. I got three latte for $15.

I needed some coffee to warm up before my Saturday morning workout at the gym. Peet's was nearby so I decided to check it out. I was surprised when I pulled into the lot and saw a parking attendant booth and a sign with parking rates - 90 minutes free with validation and $2 each 30 minutes. I thought it was odd since the only other business in this establishment is Einstein Bagels. I can't imagine spending more than 90 minutes at either location. Thankfully, it was early (7 a.m.), and the attendant was not on duty. Upon entering I received a very warm greeting from both employees behind the counter. The place was clean and there were people sitting inside drinking coffee and reading the paper. (There is also a nice patio area with plenty of seating as well.) I ordered a small black coffee and a maple pecan scone. The coffee was rich & bold. It warmed me up and was the perfect pick-me-up before my run. I heated the scone up when I got home. It was fresh & moist. A little more cakey than crumbly. The maple icing on top gave it a hint of sweetness. I enjoyed it. *Plant based food & beverage options available. *30-minute street parking on Lake.

Small soy latte extra foam. The BEST!

I'm a huge fan of Peets coffee. But this location has issues. They don't seem to measure their syrups correctly. They either make them too sweet and I'm talking about the regular pours. Or not sweet enough. When I go to the PEETS on Foothill I never have an issue with this. Here, when I order extra hot I never get it. When I order no foam they always put foam. If they would just pay attention to exactly how the drink is supposed to be made, measurements and all, there wouldn't be a problem. But they don't. Maybe because they're too busy and there isn't enough staff? Then again the last time I was there the barista was on his own frantically making drinks while the manager stood flirting with a new employee. Staff needs to relearn how to make drinks correctly. Follow the measurements and guidelines they are there for a reason. When they are understaffed management needs to step in. If management can't look around and see what's going on with their own store they shouldn't be management. I'm going to take my business to the PEETS on Foothill whenever I can until they get their act together at this location.

If you're looking for a cozy, screen free coffee hangout that feels personal and social friendly…read morespace Two Kids is the spot. We'll definitely be back! It's small and cozy, but that just adds to the charm and creates this intimate, relaxing vibe. Highlights Great public parking behind the shop. The service is fantastic and the two guys that I met were genuinely friendly and makes you feel welcome right away. The shop has a sign saying no laptops inside, and honestly, I loved it. It turns the place into a true social space where people actually talk to each other instead of staring at screens. The seating is thoughtfully arranged facing the windows, so beautiful natural sunlight pours in and gives everything such a warm, uplifting feel. They make their own oat milk in-house, and it makes such a difference our drinks tasted absolutely delicious, rich and smooth. The whole place just has great vibes all around.

The crisp taste of well-brewed coffee and chai is refreshing. (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment. Also, this is a "Laptop Free Establishment." They have no available electrical outlets and no customer internet.) I arrived at Two Kids (South Pasadena) on Tuesday (around 12:28PM). Parking is free and available. Two Kids (South Pasadena) is located across from South Pasadena City Hall. There's a competitive, free lot in the rear; it's a "4 Hour Parking Limit." Also, there's available, competitive free street parking. Staff is very mellow, professional, and respectful. Staff politely answered all my questions, and Staff felt very low stress. This location is surprisingly popular, and Staff easily breaks into friendly conversation. My drink took about three minutes. As mentioned, I ordered the Espresso w/ Milk & Chai ($6.75 - Iced). The drink is very underwhelming, but it's 1000% better than any chain coffee joint. The Espresso w/ Milk & Chai had a light enduring caffeine, and its flavor is very basic and simple. I would not drive a long distance for these drinks, but if I lived in the immediate area, this business is an easy spot to incorporate into a daily routine. It's affordable and good enough. On ambiance, Two Kids (South Pasadena) happily embraces its "just good enough" features. It lacks many basic amenities; there's no restroom, no customer internet, and no electrical outlets. They proudly have MANY little signs proclaiming how it's a "laptop free establishment." The location is also small; there's about two counter tables and three tiny stool tables. However, Two Kids (South Pasadena) is comfortable. I especially appreciated the air purifier and the strong ventilation. The place felt airy and refreshing. Also, the stereo system is very clear and with chill music. They even had one tiny bottle of hand sanitizer by the counter. It's also very animal friendly since I saw customers walk inside with their dogs on the leash. Overall, Two Kids (South Pasadena) feels built to serve the local community. It's not an impressive spot, but there's glimpses of passion for locals. If you live nearby Two Kids (South Pasadena), I recommend. It's not bad at all. 4.3 out of 5

The popcorn chicken, fried tofu, and orange green tea are what I usually order. They make those very consistently so you know what to expect. It gets busy here when school kids are hanging out but if you are outside of those windows, it doesn't take too long. Service ranges from friendly to standard, so no complaints there. The one issue I have with them is they show a loyalty program in terms of entering your phone number -- if you order online as well as the register. But I've never gotten any points. I once asked the owner about it and he claimed that they do in fact give out items, and said he would check on it that night when I told him the situation. But he never actually asked my name and info, and I've still never received any points since, despite having ordered here about twice a week for the past several weeks. It's not a deal breaker but it's strange.

Found seating outside but moved some plates ourselves from one table to another to find shade for us the kiddo. Grabbed a high chair and got seating set up. A few folks were setting up to play music out on the patio. We ordered inside as expected, thankfully the line wasn't too bad at that time so it went smoothly, though the prices are still higher than the average mom/pop sandwich place (but we anticipated this). We waited a bit for food while the patio band played. Ambience was pretty nice. Our friend's sandwich came out first and about 5 minutes later our food came. However, the Arnold Palmer we ordered didn't arrive with the food so we asked if they'd come back to bring it, and we were told they'd be right back. We waited probably another 5 minutes but drink still didn't come so I went inside to ask about it and saw the drink sitting on the back counter. So I asked staff if I could pick up the drink and they handed it over. Our friend's sandwich (the Jester) looked pretty filling while wife and I ordered/shared the Crown Jewel with cheese and mayo on the side. The Crown Jewel was pretty meh overall. Wasn't as stacked as the Jester and the bread fell apart as I ate it, despite the mayo on the side. At the end of eating someone came by to grab our order numbers and ask how things went. I commented on the wait for the drink and was told they couldn't find us, which sounded strange because they found us when bringing the sandwich and we still had our order number. But she said we could get a free refill. Since I wanted to take advantage of the refill I went inside to inquire but the order counter had gotten extremely busy. So I asked one of the bus/wait staff outside if they could grab my refill. He directed me inside and he commented how busy they were but I said I didn't want to wait in the huge line simply for a refill, so he offered to meet me inside to get the refill. Eventually I did receive the refill and we left. Overall, for the price of the food I felt the service was very average bordering on subpar, and the food was meh for the price. I don't blame the staff as they all seemed to be working very hard, but perhaps they were understaffed which would be more of a management issue. We basically bussed a couple tables on our own and waited what eventually amounted to 20-25 minutes for an ice tea/lemonade. I pre-tipped when I bought the food, which I kind of regretted but also felt bad that the employees were understaffed so I likely would have left a tip anyways. I don't plan to go back anytime soon. Wish the food and service were better

The Build: I ordered the banana cream matcha, which features a rich matcha base with standard oat milk, topped with a heavenly layer of banana cream and tiny, mysterious crunchy pieces. The Flavor Profile: Taste-wise, the drink was absolutely heavenly. The matcha itself was wonderfully rich, and mixing in the banana cream took it to the next level, while the crunchy toppings added a really nice occasional texture. The only real letdown was the size, the cup was just so tiny for an $8 price tag. Even though the flavors were incredible, it felt a bit hard to justify the steep cost for such a small portion. The Verdict: While the major price tag means this won't be an everyday habit, the solid flavors and super fast, friendly service make it a perfect spot for a little treat every once in a while. The staff had my drink out almost instantly around 10 AM on a Tuesday, and since I live so close, I'll definitely be back occasionally when I want to spoil myself.

For the drinks itself, not sure what kind of matcha powder they are using but it doesn't seem to be grade quality. The banana latte also tasted like milk. Interior wise, plenty of tables & seating.
