Driving up to the pick-up window.

I love the concept of drive thru coffee, especially when it's cold and I don't want to get out of my warm car. Well. Imagine my surprise when I drove up and saw a darling girl bundled up standing by the menu board with an iPad waiting to take my order. What? I feel sorry for whomever get assigned that shift when it's raining or 100 degrees outside. I hope they install an intercom soon. This location recently opened in what was a former fast-food spot. There are a few tables outside to enjoy your coffee & pastry. In addition to a walk-up window. The menu bord is large with pictures. I ordered a small Caramel Macchiato with almond milk. ($5.25 + .75) I drove up to the window where I was greeted by a friendly gal who told me my order when be ready shortly. She closed the window, and I couldn't help but think of the other girl standing in the cold taking orders. (Did she draw the short straw?) Soon after, my coffee was ready and I was on my way. (I was the only car in line so my wait time was minimal.) I should point out that my drink was more of a latte than a traditional Macchiato. It was nicely balanced with a hint of caramel, smooth coffee notes, and light on the sweetness. It gave me the fuel I needed to get through my Saturday morning workout at the gym.

basically a drive thru, no inside dining.. line moves quickly, effortlessly Horchata latte tasted amazing and hot... service was friendly and welcoming... A+ A return visit is in the future...

Have been wanting to try one of these for a while and came across this drive through location. They have a good variety of hot, iced and blended drinks. I went with a dulce de leche iced latte and it was so delicious! Sweetness level was perfect and the espresso itself was great! The staff was friendly when taking our order and speedy in getting the drinks out.

Horchata cold brew 9/10 - not too sweet or too milky like a latte would most likely be

I've been to a few Tierra Mia's and am excited that there is one closer to home. The location is a little odd as there isn't really any parking and the drive thru line gets long pretty easily. The wait wasn't too bad and there was someone outside to take orders as well. I ordered an horchata cold brew and paid with the employee outside. I came around to the speaker menu and noticed they had a seasonal menu which was all types of different pumpkin flavored drinks. Hoping they come up with a gingerbread or snickerdoodle flavor for winter time!

So excited for Tierra Mia to be in Altadena / Pasadena and bonus it's a drive thru! The wait was minimal. They're running an efficient system from order to when the drinks are ready. I ordered a large hot Cubano latte with oat milk (half sweetened) and large hot horchata latte with oat milk (half sweetened). Between the two, the cubano slightly takes the lead. I enjoyed the espresso taste with that brown sugar hint in the back. Most of all, IT WAS THE PERFECT TEMP to drink immediately. It did not scorch my mouth, or lukewarm, which I think most cafes get wrong! IT WAS THE PERFECT TEMP. Glad they're nearby.

2nd day in a row? OBSESSED, obviously. This time I got the same thing, an Iced Horchata Latte but in a large $6.25 & a Cheese Delight $2.50. The pastry was small but boy was it tasty! For the price, I'd say it was worth it! This time I went through the drive thru, I got there at 7:14am and got my order at 7:26am. That isn't bad of a wait considering how busy they are and there were like 10 cars ahead of me. So they did pretty good on timing! Will be coming again, and again. See you again Tierra Mia!

i absolutely LOOVVEEE their horchata frappe! it is yummy goodness inside a cup! i stopped by in the morning before work and there was no line. decided to step out and order from the front window instead of the drive thru. super quick service and lady who took my order was super nice. most definitely going to come back & try their other drinks!

Walk up window where staff wont acknowledge you and pretend to ignore you.

so apparently there two way to enter via your car. When I enter it had a sign 'drive through entrance' . There was no equipment to order so when I pulled up to the window. The girl didnt want to talk to me and refused while i sit outside the window signal oh can you open up so I can ask where the menu is. She refused for 5 mins. I decided to park and do the walk up window and the staff also chose to ignore me for walk up. So I left and drove to starbucks 1 min away. Confusing sign, staff will pretend to ignore you.

I'm only giving 3 stars not because it was bad. There's just no parking anywhere, the street is awkward, the drive thru sucks. I didn't go in because I had to stay in the car so I wouldn't get a ticket. I have never been here so I am just letting you know how the flavor was on everything. The drink tasted good, it was a rice and bean frappe and the strawberry tres leche muffin was good as well. Very moist. My coworker went inside and seem to come out pretty fast.wish I could've went in to see the inside.

The first time I came here I was really impressed by the horchata latte and the efficiency of the drive through process. The second time I ordered a small horchata latte and a small peppermint mocha latte from their holiday menu. The coffee tasted a little burnt this time, and the peppermint mocha latte had an astringent artificial peppermint flavor. I'd order again, but maybe not from their holiday menu.

Was so excited to find out Tierra Mia Coffee was opening down the street from us! My husband always went with his friends in OC so I was excited to get one here in Pasadena. The menu can be a bit overwhelming but staff is always friendly and helpful. The drinks are very sweet, so if that's up your alley, this is the place to go! I find the cubano con leche is a mild option so I can pretend I'm drinking a sweet drink with hubby. The place is small with minimal outdoor seating and it can get busy. Sometimes the line is down Lake Ave! This place is worth it!

How can anyone even think of leaving a bad review for this place! It's sooo good! I was so excited that Pasadena finally got one. The horchata frap and cafe cubano is soooo good. And workers are so nice.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for opening one of your franchises in Pasadena. I still haven't had a chance to stop by but a friend brought me coffee today and I enjoyed this at work today!

It's in Burlington Arcade (which for my Ann Arbor folks is literally just like Nickels Arcade! except this one is weirdly empty - lots of empty storefronts) but, MCS is popping! I was a bit split on what to get because the Gui Hua latte has so many mixed reviews on Yelp. So, I went with my gut instead (and the caffeine fiend in me) and ordered the cold brew item of course. But theirs is so lovely - it was the Sicily ($6.25 - Ethiopian cold brew, orange blossom water, lemon juice, touch of raw sugar, lime zest). It drinks like a refreshing tonic BUT I love that they shake this beverage and then top it with fresh lime zest. Lovely. I also had the ham & cheese croissant and it was awesome. I was eyeing the miso kouign amann but opted out, I'll have to come back for it as well as some of their matcha options!

I liked it but my wife thought the extra chocolate was too much of the good thing. She reminded me that in the pain au chocolat in France, you actually feel the chocolate under the tooth at each bite. Between the two, I would get the plain croissant next time. Final thoughts: These pastries are more expensive than in other places( pain au chocolat for almost $7 and croissant for $5.5). Would I come back: yes to get the plain croissant.
