I waited a little more and she finally came back inside and now she was trying to order for a 100 people it seemed like! I waited and waited some more and walked out of there disappointed and now I'm waiting for my daughter still yawning! The service is at this location is frustratingly and irritatingly sloooooow post covid and with new management. Today I counted 6 people behind the counter and it took my 1 drink and 1 pastry 20 minutes with no line, and I had to ask for my pastry after my drink was finally ready. This IS my Peet's location. Its a ritual for me and the service used to be awesome. I was greeted and everyone knew my order. On the way there I debated about going to a further location from me but decided to give it one more go and I regret it. I came here to do some work while waiting for friend to get off work. Ordered my usual large latte and tried to find a quiet spot to work without distractions. I ended up finding a small table in the corner in the back. This location has plenty of outlets and power strips for plugging in. It seems to be a good place for working and meeting with people. They have some patio tables outside as well if it's a nice day, you can sit outside. It's at a fairly busy plaza, so lots of people flowing through. I'd definitely come back again if I'm in the area. The WiFi is also decent. The only feedback I would tell staff is to maintain the restrooms more often. read more

It's pretty busy this morning but the line moves by fast. Today the service was pretty lackluster, and the cashier was not too friendly. Since I don't usually come here, I'm not as familiar with the menu, and so when I ordered a non-dairy pumpkin chai latte, she just asked what kind of milk, and me being dumb I guess, said I wanted "non-dairy" because it sounded like non-dairy creamer or something that they're going to use. I guess I've been going to boba places too often to have that first pop up into my mind instead of the almond, soy, and coconut milk that she could have listed to me as options the first time around. As she got my order she didn't tell me thank you or offer me a receipt to signal the transaction was done, so I waited for a brief moment and she said, "you're all set." And that was it. No smiles, thank yous--nothing to indicate good customer service. I did pay with a gift card and did want to know my balance...The baristas also read out the names on the drinks but not the drink itself, so there is a chance your drink could be taken by someone else with the same name. I did notice they read other people's drinks out and their names, but not for mine. Other people also got thank yous from the barista, but my drink was left on the counter without any acknowledgement from the baristas. I walked over to the counter as soon as my drink was called so it wasn't like I kept them waiting, so I don't get why I received lesser service. I've had a decent experience at this Peet's before and at other locations, but I am disappointed by the service today. Other than that the pumpkin chai latte with almond milk is pretty good. Not too sweet with a hint of pumpkin. I do like that the almond milk as a substitute didn't affect the taste of the drink too much as at Starbucks. Their almond milk is too sweet, but not here at Peet's. As a study spot, I do like this location because it has many outlets and outward facing window seats. I came to this Peets Coffee location with the Husband while we were on our way back to Sacramento from our weekend in San Jose. They are located right off the freeway in a nice up and coming shopping center with a Whole Foods and a bunch of other smaller eateries. Parking was plentiful but I could see it getting packed during lunchtime. Inside was busy as it was a Sunday morning so there were a lot of people sitting around inside and on the small patio. The inside is large so there was still plenty of seating. I ordered a Medium Hot 2 Pump Vanilla Latte and an Almond Croissant. The almond croissant was amazing! But super messy so definitely eat it over a table. Very fresh though. The vanilla latte was good too, but something was a little off about it. It wasn't as good as other locations make it. My Husband ordered their Mango Black Tea Lemonade which is like an Arnold Palmer but with mango. It had a good flavor and wasn't too sweet. I would come back to this location again because of the convenience and they're better than Starbucks. read more

Who doesn't love Peets?! This location is comfortable with respect to seating etc, but can get extremely busy depending on the time of day. The product served is very consistent and once your order is placed, your drink is delivered rather promptly. There is a nice little outdoor seating area that is very comfortable and the free wifi has a fairly strong signal. Overall, not a bad spot to get your morning or afternoon pick me up. We don't have Peet's Coffee in Bakersfield where I live, so I always try to make at least one visit here each time I am in the Bay Area. This particular Peet's coffee shop is in the same center as the Whole Foods store on Bollinger Canyon just East of the 680. There is plenty of seating inside with convenient electrical outlets near almost every table; there are even surge protectors on extension cords conveniently located along the raised bars along the windows. There is an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas that has an almost secluded feel as it is separated from the parking area by a small hedge of bushes. There is a free tasting station set up next to the line of people waiting to order where I their current pick of the month, India Peaberry coffee. It was not bad. There was a Yelp check in deal that offered $1 off an coconut drinks. Coconut drinks? At a coffee shop? I was a bit confused until I noticed their prominently displayed seasonal menu of iced coconut beverages: iced coconut latte, iced coconut macadamia nut latte, coconut mint freddo, and coconut mocha freddo. For those unacquainted with the freddo, it is a blended sugary coffee drink. I decided to order the large coconut macadamia nut latte, but I asked for it to be hot. The barista didn't bat an eyelash and asked if I wanted whipped cream on that, so apparently I'm not the only one to order it this way. I was quite pleased with this little tropical delight of a drink and my mother claimed I had a smug little look on my face as I returned to her car. Of course, maybe she was just using that as an excuse to demand that I share the wealth. She like it, but said she had trouble tasting the coconut. I admit the macadamia taste was more prominent than the coconut, but I could certainly taste both. I noticed, while waiting in line, that they sell quite a variety of teas. This is the bishop ranch/bollinger canyon office complex place for peet's coffee. This is a large outdoor strip mall thingy and as such there is just a ton of parking. Having said that, parking close by this peet's tends to fill up. The adjoining shops are super popular not least that whole foods across the way, so you may be farther down in that massive surface lot then you may want. It'll be a short walk, but a walk riddled with parking lot drivers. This is one of the nicer, larger and more comfortable peet's that I've been to. There is a small patio that isn't that popular a choice-the sun here is fierce in the summer along with a unavoidable view of the sea of parking-the usual table/chair combos and lots of window facing counter seating. I especially like the amount of cozy nooks and the window facing counter seats (they tend to be slightly cleaner. Sometimes the staff can't always get to wiping down the tables as much as you'd want), although most folks seem to prefer the tables. Wherever you sit the window layout offers decent views of the surrounding market place and the interior of the shop. This is a place to see and be seen, great for people watching and/or general sociability. Generally speaking one of the perceived strengths of a franchise like peet's the consistency of the products. While that isn't always true-different locations have different challenges which results in variation in what you get, I'm pleased to say that here, the coffee products are more then usually good. The pastries are solid as well. There will be lines at peak times, and while the service is good, they focus more on operations then lots of chit chat which is fine with me. I don't mind cross talk, but I came for the coffee. Overall this is a decent choice for lounging, working, and meeting up with people over a cuppa. read more

Everyone time I stop by in the morning, it's always 50 50 chance that something results in slow service. I'm waiting to order but can't due to register error, app scan not working, or incorrect order on another customer. The worst case is when the staff needs to start a fresh batch of coffee due to the time limit so you have to wait for it to brew. I appreciate a fresh batch, but they need better time management to avoid making customers wait on the coffee to brew. The line is even slower when someone orders a breakfast sandwich because the cashier has to go heat it up. At Starbucks, someone else would heat up the item to not hold up the line. I have to get to work so it should not take 10 min+ just to get a cup of coffee. This was the issue before the pandemic as well. read more

I love that there is a Peet's coffee so close to work. This location is on my drive to work, which is great. This place sometimes gets really crowded in the morning which is expected because everyone is trying to get their morning coffee before work. All the employees are super friendly. Inside is usually busy whenever I come, but the line goes by quickly. There is indoor seating and a small patio outside. My usual order is a medium nonfat latte. Sometimes I will order a coffee javiva or a chocolate/caramel swirl javiva for a friend because he doesn't really drink coffee. I've also tried the black tea lemonade which is also very good if you are looking for something refreshing and not coffee. For baked goods, I've tried the butter croissant and the ham & swiss croissant. Both are very good, but I think I prefer the butter croissant more. Make sure you get it warmed up! The croissant is very flaky warmed up! I'm hoping this location gets online ordering soon, so I can just order on the app and pick up in store! Sometimes I went to Starbucks because of the convenience of online ordering, but I think Peet's taste better so I'm going to be so happy when it gets online ordering to save time waiting in line and waiting for the drink! read more

I was craving for peets coffee today. So I placed a mobile REORDER (I like my cafe latte with standard 2% milk + extra hot). I placed order at 4:10pm and was at the shop on 4:12pm for pick up. I heard Barista (lady preparing my late) saying "out of 2%milk" indicating other helper to bring the bottle (didn't realize she will be messing up with my order). 4:13pm she called out my name saying order is ready. I picked up the cup (felt the cup was lighter than usual) - thought it's just me feeling weird so didn't pay attention and left the shop. Sat in the car cautiously taking a sip as I thought it must be extra hot like ordered. But to my surprise it was not extra hot and opened my cup and sadly the cup was half filled with coffee and rest was foam. As much as I was craving for coffee - the service was worst and super unsatisfying. I really felt cheated. $4.70 a cup and half filled was not even $1 worth. Don't know how much that barista was able to save for the store by half cup; on the contrary THE STORE LOST MY TRUST. I am so pi***d of with this experience because as much as I craved for the coffee, got the worst ever. read more

I visited this location for the first time in the evening and I know that near the end of a shift you want to go home. My drink tasted delicious but the crew looked like they definitely wanted to be anywhere but behind the counter making my drinks and when I ordered two they asked if I was sure I wanted two drinks, which of course I did, I was getting for someone else as well. I will try another location before passing a final verdict but I won't go to this location again. The pricing was average for cafe' style coffees/teas/pastries so as far as that goes Peet's is right in line with the competition. I have been going to Peers almost daily since they opened more than 10 years ago. I have tried everything from Starbucks to Duncan Donuts. I have always preferred Peets across the street from The Lit in San Ramon. This is my favorite Peets Coffee. The employees are super professional and very polite. I am a regular. They routinely greet me by name. Good seating inside and outside. One can walk across the street to The Lot to shop or eat or take in a movie. On Saturdays, there's the Farmer's' Market in site and directly across the street. The quality of their coffee is noticeably superior to most competitors' coffee. I have always considered SB's coffee too bitter. My only complaint is that the AC runs even when it is cold outside. They are also known to give regulars a complimentary coffee. One day, I had purchased a coffee mug and filled it with a late. I dropped and broke the mug as I was walking out in the parking lot. There happened to be a Peets' manager approaching who observed what happened. He replaced the broken mug and latte'. That is just a reflection of what they typically do for their customers. Of all the Peet's locations in San Ramon, this one is by far the best. I am an avid Peet's drinker (I got that trait from mom), and I definitely spend more money here than I should. Every time I go here, my drink is always consistent. My favorite drink is the maple latte which is executed perfectly--the milk is always the right temperature, there is the perfect amount of maple, and usually there is a cute foam design on top! This location also appears to be the only San Ramon one that knows how to make a wet cappuccino correctly. Customer service is always great. The only time I ever had an issue was back in December, when I was the only customer in the store and the cashier had me waiting for about ten minutes before he could take my order. I did not complain, but the manager comp'd my drink anyways. This past week I lost my voice, so I have been trying out tons of different tea flavors! I like black tea, and Peet's has a wide selection of loose leaf black tea. I reccomend Assam Golden Tip and Russian Caravan. An interesting tea is the Lapsang Souchang, the tea leaves are actually smoked so it smells like a camp fire and has a strong smoky flavor. Aside from the jacked up parking lot, if you have a choice of a Peet's this is the one to go to. read more
