This place is chill and relaxing. Came here to get the 50% off frappuccino. I ordered the green tea frappuccino. It was okay. I don't think it's the best though. But still yummy since I just love green tea. The inside is super nice and clean. I love it! Plus it's spacious. That's even better. This is the WORST Peet's that I've ever been to--and I've been going on & off since '09 (always hit-or-miss pre-virus nonsense). The last straw was the other day. I mobile-ordered a few drinks for the office. Every single one was disgusting. I dumped mine and asked the others and sure enough--all really bad. -None of the orders were complicated -The location wasn't busy; I could see their order screen--all of the drinks were mine -I waited 20 mins for the drinks. The hot ones were on the colder side by the time I got them I won't return to this location. I'll go across the street to Starbucks. Best coffee shop in the area. Staff is always super nice, quality of the coffee is next level and they have a great space to hangout and get some work done. Walking distance from the Rossmoor community and close to a bunch of shops in case you want to get your shop on while you enjoy your bomb.com coffee. My favorite item is the coconut black tie. Low cal, tasty and it's always made super quick. Peet's rewards program is pretty decent as well so if this becomes your new shop of choice I'd highly recommend getting the app. I feel that it's hard to find good quality coffee and am glad this location is so close to my house. I stayed here for about 4 hours studying outside. Initially it was full inside so I sat outside then ended up preferring it. This location is serene and perfect for studying, meetings, solitude time, family time, shopping, etc. The baristas inside were helpful. I ordered a handful of items during my extended time here. Perhaps I'm feeling St. Patrick's day coming up with the unconscious green theme of my orders: Iced Green tea, then later Match loaf with a nonfat, unsweetened Matcha Latte. I loved it all. First time back here after 3+ yrs...I always forget it's here, as it's nicely tucked away in the shopping center that it's in. Anyhow, good stuff can be found here. Had another cold brew , this time the one with condensed milk and chicory; very good, and recommend. Reminded me of a Vietnamese coffee. Staff was very nice and helpful. I love this place. Not loud and filled with kids like Starbucks. It's like a more sophisticated coffee shop without the price! The grab and go food is good if you can get it in time. But of course, I come for the coffee. Their regular coffee of the day is always fresh brewed. By fresh, I mean every time I go there I have to wait. (which is fine by me). Even the Free refills, I have to wait for a fresh cup. It's only about 2 minutes and it's never bitter. The Baristas here are awesome here, BTW. The Free Wifi here is a little spotty at times. So I would recommend saving whatever you're doing on the computer from time to time and it only works inside, not outside. They take Android pay here which is great because that's pretty much all I carry nowadays. read more

Understanding what Peet's is to the coffee affectionado is like knowing you don't go to 7-11 to look for a $200 bottle of wine. I'm a Seal Beach Peet's veteran. I've lived through seeing so many friendly, skilled employees come and go. SO. Many. The ones remaining continue to brighten my day and end it on a high note. Yes, I'm typically here twice a day... so what?!! LoL There's nothing better than heading out to surf team than stopping in at 5:50am for a large Americano served up right by MOLLY! MOLLY is a #334 veteran and knows what needs to be done to get done. I'm thankful for MOLLY'S smile in the morning, issued with my Americano!! =D Alyssa is still there but works mid-shifts as of late. The evening crew is typically Sommer or Greg (or both if I'm lucky). And, as always I enjoy sharing a quick chat with Ben, whom I call the brew guru. He knows his teas and coffees... The problem I have with Peet's is, I haven' been able to be satisfied with any form of coffee OUTSIDE of their service area! Peet's coffee roast seems to yield a cleaner, fuller-bodied cup of richness that has no bitterness, bite, or what I call "bean-tannin". There is no oil slick floating around the top of the beverage. I've outgrown the taste of Major Dickason the past few years. Hands down, my favorite bean is their Mocha Sanani, with Aged Sumatra close behind. Their Kona is primo quality, too. During the holidays, I STRONGLY SUGGEST their Holiday Blend. It is only available in limited quantities and for a limited time, but if you are as much a coffee snob as I am, you will appreciate the flavor and body of this roast. WOW. Wish I could offer up some opinions on teas, but I try not to get involved with that... :) The Seal Beach store is set up a bit different than other Peet's, but I've grown attached to its ambience. Occasionally they host acoustic musicians. There's nothing better than sitting outside on a warm summer evening in one of the cushy patio loveseats next to the water sculpture. Dear God: THANK YOU FOR BRINGING PEETS TO THE 562! Love, Jen No more reminiscing the good ol' days of the Bay Area, or gritting my teeth and going out of my way in Irvine for a Peets fix. This Peets is conveniently located right off Seal Beach Blvd, across from Target and next to Ann Taylor. Honestly, I went here the other day because I had a free Peet's coupon, but as soon as I stepped in, I knew I'd be coming back. Firstly, free wifi rocks, and none of that registering a gift card and logging in through AT&T nonsense you deal w/at Starbucks. Secondly, great people. Cool customers, great service. And of course, where else does the best tea exist? Peet's. Note that there is outdoor seating but it's limited to like one table, which is probably filled with middle-aged women who shop at the Ann Taylor next door (not that there's anything wrong w/that). So if you haven't been to a Peet's before, stop by. If you have, this Peet's is just as good as any, if not better. read more

I only remembered getting Peet's Coffee when I would be in the San Francisco area. With the opening of this and several others in the region, this will save us SoCal'ers from having to endure one more reason why SF is "hella better" than us here in Southern California. Take that, San Francisco! You're precious coffee gem is now located in the heart of conservative Orange County! All joking aside, I was actually pretty impressed with this location. The first time I came here, I was dee-nied, as they were closed by 9:30PM on a weeknight. I came back the next night at a slightly earlier time, and there was no one in the shop, so I was unsure if it was still open. The shopping center as a whole looks like it closes pretty early, since it is in the center of a suburban OC area (Rossmoor and Seal Beach). Luckily, they were open. I honestly didn't even know about this shopping center's existence until last week! I ordered something safe and something cold. That way, I don't get taxed for my beverage (as some of you may or may not know, hot drinks are taxable, and cold ones aren't). I went for a chocolate blended item, since I figured it would parallel Godiva's Chocolate Decadence, that chocolate cold thing at It's A Grind, or Starbucks Java Chip Frappuchino. Although the drink took slightly longer than I anticipated, I took the opportunity to look around and observe how this place is different from other coffee chains. First off, they play classical music. Very classy stuff. Next, the quality of the furniture look more expensive than the ones at your neighborhood Starbucks. Third, things that were supposed to be shiny, were very shiny (to the point of looking like new). The positioning of the napkins, straws, and toppings were strategically located on an island next to the pick-up side of the counter. I liked how honey was one of the things they allowed you to utilize freely. I would definitely patronize this store again, as this is the closest one to us in Cerritos. Although my town has more than its fair share of coffee shops, I think we can afford to replace one of the several Starbucks in the city and bring in a Peet's Coffee, just to add some "variety" to our lives here at the Little Hills. read more

I could not enjoy the iceed coffee for 2 reasons. First reason, the employee that prepared my beverage touched his face with gloves, then his mask, and then used his mask to use as a tissue. The other employee did not change his gloves or wash his hands after handling cash. I cannot believe the blatant carelessness and regard for basic cleanliness. read more

Usually I just get the bold coffee they have brewing, but if it's not to my liking, which is rare, I'll fork up the extra $$ and get my choice of coffee in the French Press. We will not be going back to Peet's Seal Beach until there is a Covid 19 vaccine because they are not requiring masks upon entering the store. My husband went in to buy a pound of coffee and we are in a high risk category and still practicing all the precautions since Orange County numbers are up. We were shocked that they allowed to serve a woman with no mask. When my husband confronted the staff, they said they can't require people to wear a mask. However they didn't have a sign on the door stating masks required either where other open businesses did in the same strip. Actually I don't think we will return at all since they don't share our values of importance of the health and safety to the community. read more

I like this Peet's Coffee & would come by this location often when I used to live in Long Beach. On my most recent stop here (this past Friday), my husband and I decided that we wanted to get some caffeine since we were quite tired from a long day and were also on our way to take our 3 dogs to the dog park (http://www.yelp.com/biz/arbor-dog-park-los-alamitos). When we came inside and walked over to the cashier, just browsing the menu board, we were immediately greeted by the employee at the cashier. He was friendly and he made small talk with us. We ended up getting the Mayan Chocolate Mocha (because of the $1 off check in deal, make sure to check in to get $1 off their featured drinks or seasonal drinks). This drink was pretty good, it had a chocolate coffee taste. My first sip was trying to taste the different layers of flavor in it and I liked it and would totally order this drink again. Our drink was made right away and so wait time was rather very short. The woman's restroom was pretty clean and adequately stocked when I used it. There is plenty of seating outside of this Peet's and there are some seating inside as well. I like that the seating area inside isn't too small so you won't feel squished. My husband can always find an outlet whenever he would come here to study for his finals and exams. The free wifi is actually pretty fast. The only downside of this place is that they close a little earlier than Starbucks on weekdays (most Starbucks usually open til 10 pm). Overall, plenty of parking, clean place, friendly service, excellent drinks. What else could you ask for at a coffee shop? Pretty standard/ Hot coffee, friendly attentive service, free wi fi, plenty of table inside and out, nice sea turtle fountain,awww. They had free samples of some Ethiopian coffee roasted with figs in the French which always nice. Server asked how I liked it so good coffee nerd chat. OKOK I don't practically ever give five stars, but Peet's has a lot to offer. The one on Seal beach Blvd. is worth a visit and it is the closest to us since Peet's on 2nd St in Long Beach has closed. We are in the Starbuck's drink-drink-reward cycle, getting freebies whenever we have 125 points together. All well and good, and a good place to sit and read if you can find a place to sit these days. But it turns out, there is better coffee to be had! And Starbuck's will find us less often there because the quality of coffee sold at Peet's is so uniformly delicious. Peet's, we recently discovered, is into quality not quantity. They really put out some great products. Their barista stuff isn't as varied and constantly rolling over as are the offerings at Starbucks, so a bit stodgy you could say. But what they have is great. I have always found the French Roast we sometimes buy quite bitter, but we buy it for a change now and then. But Peet's French Roast is a roast wroth drinking, "neat" and not blended with other coffees, because it is not one bit bitter. It is delicious! Also their Major Dickason is a very, very good mellow and chocolatey brew you can order almost all the time. And finally, their imaginative turmeric and honey with milk (whole milk for me, I'm not worried about a shot or so of milk in my diet) coffee drink is really worth a try. So the one on Seal Beach Blvd. in Rossmoor is really the place to go for a quality cup of coffee or coffee drink. Pleasant and shaded outdoor area for a warm morning, just the thing for enjoying a cup while reading the news. We will go often. read more

I used to go to the Peets in Huntington Beach until they closed. I loved this Peets, always made my drink right and great customer service. This Peet's is a different experience. My last time there, my cappuccino was warm, filled to the top with milk with a little weak foam on top. I asked if someone else could make it cuz every time this barista makes it, it's not right. The girl was very rude, no customer service at all! A very bad attitude. The barista was a wise guy. Asked for my money back. Spoke to the manager and she was apologetic. Next time I go in and a girl tells me they won't serve me! I spoke to the manager the next day, and she tells me Eli went to her very upset cuz "he felt singled out" I could not believe this. So he's rude and a wise guy and won't or can't make my drink realizes I'm calling the manager so he goes to her upset like he's a victim!! The manager tells me that she did not tell them not to serve me! So some how the employee took it upon herself to do this??? All I asked for was a cappuccino made with half milk and half foam. I even asked if I needed to say dry cappuccino. Very disappointed with my whole experience. read more

I love Peet's Coffee and this location is great! I don't have one near me in Whittier but whenever I'm around the area I always stop by this location to get some coffee. My favorite by far is the chocolate and caramel javiva. I always order it with almond milk because I'm lactose intolerant and I've never had a problem here (unlike at Starbucks where they forgot and used regular milk one time :/ ) anywho, the people who work here are always nice and friendly. The cashier who helped me today even told me about their rewards app and all the benefits of having it. My husband enjoys their vanilla lattes and said they made his really good today. I can't attest to this because it had milk in it but I'll take his word for it. The service is also really fast and everything is always stocked. Definitely stop by and have a delicious cup of coffee or a refreshing javiva. You won't be disappointed! read more

It would be helpful to have coffee ready and available at 7:30 am. Having to wait 10 -15 minuets for either dark or medium roast is un-acceptable, and it can adversely effect ones schedule who attempting to arrive to work on time. On another note, the employees who work at this location are very un-organized and forgetful. As I was standing around waiting for my coffee to be brewed, I was examining how the employees were performing and their interaction with customers. It seems one of the employees was trying her best to attend to all of the customers by doing everything, taking orders, and making drinks and sandwiches. Clearly she was overwhelmed.. The other two, a young girl and a guy, had no urgency to help the customers and reduce the line. The employees can definitely use training and systems need to be implemented in order for the customer experience to be better and welcoming. Finally I had to mention to one of the employees about my order because they clearly forgot about me. All I got was a NON sincere apology and my coffee. Due to experiences like this, it keeps me away and in search for other coffee cafes worthy of my money $$. We as patron should not accept this as acceptable customer service and should expect more from business. read more

Update: I really love Peet's new app and breakfast menu!! Peet's now has an Android app and you can use the app to check in and keep track of your visits so that you can see when you are for for your rewards! Alternatively, you can give your phone number to check in if you don't have space on your phone for another app :0 you just need to register online first to create your account. As for the breakfast menu, Peet's definitely has better breakfast menu compared to what Starbucks has. My new favorite is quiche and chicken and Maple waffle sandwich. They are both very filling, caloric intake isn't crazy, and have very good flavors. Quiche is very rich and flavorful. Waffle sandwich is a bit on the sweeter side but still pretty good stuff. read more

The lattes at Peet's come with one shot less (by default) than I like, but they always taste good - even when I add that extra shot.
