The Food: In the past, I've come only for the dessert, but this review will focus on my most recent visit when my wife and I had brunch here. I ordered the quiche Lorraine, a classic variety that featured ham, cheese, and bacon. It was firm, hearty, and delicious. The wife thought it was a little dry, but then again I like hard boiled eggs and she prefers them runny, so I chalk it up to personal preference. My wife had the breakfast burrito, which was stuffed with all kinds of goodness, including egg, ham, bacon, and chorizo con papa. We both really liked it but thought it had just a hint of sausage. If it was more meaty, it would have been flawless. The Location: It's located on Main Street near the beach, so street parking is extremely limited. I came on a Tuesday morning and didn't have an issue, but lunchtime and weekends are insnae. Visit off peak hours to avoid the traffic jam or a long wait. The Setting: Crema is a medium sized establishment, with about half the space taken up by the bakery line. Fortunately, there's an outdoor seating area with about another 10 tables. Since we brought our dogs, we chose the latter option and enjoyed the shade provided by the umbrellas. Everything is clean and well organized. The Service: The customer service is great. The staff was all polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Price: This is really the only con: everything is 10% to 20% more expensive here. I call it the beach tax. Shops along any beach can implement it because people are willing to pay it in order to enjoy the amenities and location. The Conclusion: The Crema Cafe is one of our go-to restaurants for brunch and dessert any time we come to Seal Beach. It's not flawless, but we always leave happy. read more

I've always seen these spot and noticed how busy it is, but I never actually had the chance to try it. I came here on a friday morning with my mom and waited around 10-15 minutes I believe. Once we were sat, we decided on ordering the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the nutella french toast. For drinks we ordered the dirty chai with oatmilk and a regular chai latte. The drinks were okay nothing too special. The outdoor seating was very cute, super nice since it is right by the beach. As for the food, I thought the burrito was okay, I can't say it was something I'd come for again. As for the nutella french toast, it was also okay, put nutella on anything and I'll eat it, but I'd love to come back to try other things on the menu. The service was okay, my server was not very attentive, and I was looking for her everywhere, but maybe it was a bit busy.. Overall, this is a very cute spot, I would come back to try other things on the menu due to the location and wide variety on their menu. Ambiance is cute traditional American cafe with part bakery to order to-go, inside and outside seating. They had a nice selection on their menu that had something for everyone. My husband had the smoked salmon omelet and I had a scramble (I can't remember the name), but had eggs, crunchy bacon and tomatoes with avocado on top. Cream cafe is adorable. It's off Main street in Seal beach and although it was a busy weekend day, I got lucky and found a parking spot right out front. Talk about Lucky! I was with a meet up group of about 12 people and since we made reservations, we had a nice little corner at back of the patio. I Met 3 friends here for an early (11:30) lunch on Halloween. The wait was surprisingly short..about 10 minutes. Yay! Arrived a bit close to closing time so our order was in a to go box. So experience here was not full. We ordered a sandwich each. I ordered croquet monsieur Ham, cheese, bechamel. It was a different but nicely complimented combo. The bechamel sauce gave it a heavy filling the cheese and ham were so good together. The sourdough was nicely toasted. I ordered garlic fries for an extra fee. Next was grilled cheese with grilled garlic now that was a nice classic flavor and definitely not stingy with the onions. That order was potatoes. They were ok. We also ordered the teas . I ordered strawberry tea it was so refreshing and nice flavor. The other was mango green also good but strawberry hibiscus was SOOO much better. I also ordered coffe panni cotta or something like that it was this little pot of chocolate heaven. It had a rich butterscotch taste at first then I had a second spoon it had the coffee liquid on the bottom. This tho is nice thick pudding brulee like chocolate coffee goodness! Let me say I will be back for it. They also had a honey one. I ordered a macaroons to go 1 small normal then another large with fresh raspberries in it. Located on Main Street in seal beach, this brunch spot is such a gem! It's best to make reservations then check in with the host. Staff is friendly and helpful here. We were seated in the outdoor patio area where it was shaded with umbrellas and trees. I had the best smoked salmon bagel here! I normally don't order that, but felt I would try something different that day and I'm so glad I did! I layered onions, tomatoes, and capers on top of the smoked salmon and I had it on the everything bagel. I love salt so if you are limiting or avoiding salt, don't get this combo. Lol. If you're walking in downtown Seal Beach, walk - no, RUN! - to the Crema Cafe. Absolutely spectacular. It does get pretty crowded on a weekend, but I only popped in to grab some totable eats while we were walking down to the pier. So many choices. I chose two different muffins: the apple cinnamon and the banana nut. Both were absolutely delicious. While there, I eyed many different kinds of bread. If I lived locally, I would definitely be here often. I did spot some freshly made coconut macaroons, and stopped in a bit later to pick up a package of them to bring back to my husband (a coconut macaroon connoisseur). A crepe with cheese, chicken and mushrooms did arrive, as did the spinach tucked inside, but where was the cheese? Where was the creamy garlic sauce? The crepe served to me was bland and with little puddles of oil, not creamy garlic sauce, on top. My friend said her breakfast burrito was good, so I guess 1 out of 2 ain't bad. Crema Cafe is located on Seal Beach's Main Street. There are tons of restaurants and little shops, but this is a spot you'll want to visit. I've been twice now and both times my wait wasn't too long, and one of those visits was on Mother's Day. They have an iPad where you sign yourself in and indicate your party size. There's also a spot for you to note if you prefer inside, outside, or first available. The inside can feel crammed because some of the tables along the window feel a little too close together, but it's not terrible. Outside is nice and spacious, plus the umbrellas provide shade for those sunny days. Their London Fogs are excellent! The food is also pretty darn good. I've tried the fried egg sandwich, waffle, and buttermilk pancake. You need to order the friend egg sandwich on the brioche bread. We subbed it for sourdough bread on our second visit and agreed that the brioche was better. After you eat, you can walk your food off on Main Street. Great place for a brunch/lunch! It seems to be a favorite around here and always busy. Parking is scarce usually packed along the street but there is a paid parking lot not too far down the street for $1 per hour. While we waited to be seated we checked out the bakery side and everything looked so good with self serve coffee available. The menu had so much to choose from breakfast side and lunch side. I decided to order a breakfast burrito with a coffee and my son chose a chocolate crepe with a hot chocolate. My favorite part of our breakfast was the creamer they served, I asked for flavored hazelnut and instead of serving the individuals (usually coffee mate or international delight) this was a thicker creamier consistency and so much more flavor. I love coffee and this made it so much better. The breakfast burrito was really good I know many reviews are mixed on the burrito but it's also a favorite on the menu... when it came It was hot, a good size portion and served with a side of fresh pico. We were seated almost immediately after we checked in with the hostess and the food and our coffees came out quickly, too! I've been going to the Créma Café off and on for the past 8 years now. It is your local privately owned bakery and café, located on quaint Main Street. A charming tree lined strip with unique shops, eateries, and entertainment. Main street also leads to the famous Seal Beach Pier, a prominent landmark. There is lots of street parking (marked 2 hour limit). Although it isn't always enforced, I would still respect it. The Café interior is somewhat small, with a cozy and charming beach cottage vibe. They have large floor to ceiling windows that open to let in the ocean breeze, which is really pleasant especially on a beautiful spring or summer day. The interior space is divided into 2 sections using the self serve coffee station. The 2 sections are the sit down restaurant and the other section is the bakery where you can also come in through a side door to place your "to go" orders. Indoor seating is somewhat limited. They have a lot more outdoor seating with umbrellas, in an alley like setting, lined with small clothing shops. Main street is a popular destination. So, Weekends tend to be very busy, especially around brunch time. So if you plan on visiting on the weekend, arrive early or you could end up waiting up to an hour for a table. On busy days, they have a digital tablet out front by the check-in kiosk. Make sure to enter your party on the yelp waiting list using that tablet. You'll be notified when your table is ready. You can also reserve a table on the yelp app or through google which is also linked to the Yelp app. The menu is extensive and varied. They offer a variety of omelettes, hot & cold sandwiches, burgers, salads savory and sweet crêpes, waffles, french toasts and so forth... they also have a kids menu and a coffee, tea menu as well as a variety of baked goods and pastries. Mostly everything on the menu is good and prices are average. For some reason, I've personally never been a fan of their coffee. But that is subjective. The service is always friendly.
