    dirty vanilla chai

I've always seen these spot and noticed how busy it is, but I never actually had the chance to try it. I came here on a friday morning with my mom and waited around 10-15 minutes I believe. Once we were sat, we decided on ordering the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the nutella french toast. For drinks we ordered the dirty chai with oatmilk and a regular chai latte. The drinks were okay nothing too special. The outdoor seating was very cute, super nice since it is right by the beach. As for the food, I thought the burrito was okay, I can't say it was something I'd come for again. As for the nutella french toast, it was also okay, put nutella on anything and I'll eat it, but I'd love to come back to try other things on the menu. The service was okay, my server was not very attentive, and I was looking for her everywhere, but maybe it was a bit busy.. Overall, this is a very cute spot, I would come back to try other things on the menu due to the location and wide variety on their menu. As for the service, I'm hoping it was just a backed up and stressful day.

Bottom Line Up Front: The Crema Cafe is a bakery and restaurant that will satisfy both your sweet tooth and savory craving -- so long as you don't mind paying a premium. The Food: In the past, I've come only for the dessert, but this review will focus on my most recent visit when my wife and I had brunch here. I ordered the quiche Lorraine, a classic variety that featured ham, cheese, and bacon. It was firm, hearty, and delicious. The wife thought it was a little dry, but then again I like hard boiled eggs and she prefers them runny, so I chalk it up to personal preference. My wife had the breakfast burrito, which was stuffed with all kinds of goodness, including egg, ham, bacon, and chorizo con papa. We both really liked it but thought it had just a hint of sausage. If it was more meaty, it would have been flawless. The Location: It's located on Main Street near the beach, so street parking is extremely limited. I came on a Tuesday morning and didn't have an issue, but lunchtime and weekends are insnae. Visit off peak hours to avoid the traffic jam or a long wait. The Setting: Crema is a medium sized establishment, with about half the space taken up by the bakery line. Fortunately, there's an outdoor seating area with about another 10 tables. Since we brought our dogs, we chose the latter option and enjoyed the shade provided by the umbrellas. Everything is clean and well organized. The Service: The customer service is great. The staff was all polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. The Price: This is really the only con: everything is 10% to 20% more expensive here. I call it the beach tax. Shops along any beach can implement it because people are willing to pay it in order to enjoy the amenities and location. The Conclusion: The Crema Cafe is one of our go-to restaurants for brunch and dessert any time we come to Seal Beach. It's not flawless, but we always leave happy.

Great breakfast and bakery spot on Main street. Always packed even early mornings weekdays. I'll stop if there's parking. i'll get a Kouign-amann (pronounced "queen-ah-mahn")

I moved to Florida 2 years ago and recently moved back to Seal Beach to live. Was looking forward to eating one of my favorite entrees at your restaurant. Quiche Lorraine and salad. The two bites of Quiche were crunchy with eggshells, and the version of your previously delicious salad with corn, shredded carrots and tomatoes was no longer. There was far more rotten lettuce on the plate than what is shown in this photo! Unacceptable! Needless to say, I was so disappointed and disgusted I only told the young waitress I wouldn't be eating or paying. I was to upset to ask for the manager. I can no longer recommend or eat at your establishment.

Main Street Seal Beach is such a charming little area and The Crema Cafe is the best breakfast/brunch place on the street! It's definitely a local favorite. So beware that it can get very crowded, especially during prime time weekend hours. The earlier you go, the better! This place has seating inside and even more seating outside. There's so many options for breakfast, lunch, and baked goods. I use to come frequently because I lived walking distance from here. So I've tried so many different things on the menu and There hasn't been anything I didn't like! My go to is the fitness burrito and matcha latte. I also love their chocolate croissant and Tuna Melt. They even offer doggy treats :)

We loved this cafe. We had never explore old town Seal Beach before, what a little gem by the pier. Crema Cafe definitely seemed like a local favorite. We went on a Monday around 10:30am and we had to wait about 10 mins. They had a texting system so we could walk around a bit while we waited. We got seated promptly before 10 mins as promised and we had a very nice and attentive server throughout our brunch. Ambiance is cute traditional American cafe with part bakery to order to-go, inside and outside seating. They had a nice selection on their menu that had something for everyone. My husband had the smoked salmon omelet and I had a scramble (I can't remember the name), but had eggs, crunchy bacon and tomatoes with avocado on top. Both were delicious and came with choice of potatoes or fruit and choice of their house breads. All was really good and friendly. We will be back!

Today we had a great breakfast. We got the sweet crepes and the savory crepes with fries. The breakfast crepe was like a nice chorizo scramble topped with a generous mound of sour cream and avocado. The fries were hot and fresh and crispy. I also asked for a side of their amazing garlic aioli. I added it to everything. The bananas foster crepe was legit with warm sauteed bananas inside. Service was prompt and friendly. Ambiance was warm.

Cream cafe is adorable. It's off Main street in Seal beach and although it was a busy weekend day, I got lucky and found a parking spot right out front. Talk about Lucky! I was with a meet up group of about 12 people and since we made reservations, we had a nice little corner at back of the patio. The servers was very patient and answered all the questions and sent the food order in waves so the food came out rather quickly. The regular coffee, it was a bit confusing but if you order a coffee for dine in, you do get free refills. But, the way the menu is worded. There was some confusion from the group. Drink: Matcha Latte with almond milk, this is my new thing right now! I absolutely loved it. It was rich and creamy. Definitely worth a try as an alternative to coffee. Food: I happened to sit next to a person who was eyeing 2 different Benedict and also a waffle so we ended up sharing the 3 items! The Persian Benedict has a fried egg and Brie! Omg, what a game changer. I'm also on a brie kick, too. It comes in wave. The crossiant is a nice touch and it was soft ans flakey. The carnitas Benedict was also very good, it had a great flavor. There was a lot of potatoes as well. I had to take some home. It had decent flavor. The Belgium waffle was worth the share. The whipped cream was perfect, the fruit was fresh and complementary to the syrup. The syrup was legit. Very rich and tasty. I highly recommend this place for brunch if you're in Seal Beach.

This place is fantastic. The bakery and bread are great and so all the sandwiches made with that break are awesome. I had the Croque monsieur with a fried egg. I definitely recommend it. My friend had the chicken and artichoke crepe and said it was definitely 5-star material. She particularly liked the flavors of the sun-dried tomatoes with grilled onions with the artichoke. I also got a bunch of pastries to take home.

Cute cafe with tasty food! I came during brunch hours and had the avocado toast with a side of crispy bacon and sausage. I also had an iced spanish latte with added cinnamon and it was made to perfection! You must order the crème brûlée! It was pretty busy on a Saturday so I recommend making a reservation and parking can be tricky.

Returned to Crema Cafe after a memorable first visit! Today our breakfast options didn't hit the mark like the lunch options did. Our salmon bagel was burnt :( it was busy as usual, but we felt a bit rushed to order with our server when looking at the menu. Use the waitlist outside to put your name on the Yelp virtual waiting list! Still a cute spot, nice bakery and bread selection.

Hands down the best food. Everything on the menu is excellent . I had the chicken pesto crap. So fresh and delicious. I practically licked my plate clean. The side salad was just right. All the baked goods in the bakery are exquisite as well. Fresh ingredients. My favorite spot I always come back

I went into javatinis since it was right there and I felt bad about just asking for a water without paying so I ordered an iced latte (even though I don't care for their drinks). After I had already paid, I asked them politely for an iced water. They said they would have to charge. I was like "what? Even though I paid for a drink?" And the girl said "yes we charge for the cost of the cup." So pathetic. So I walked over to bogarts fully expecting to have to pay for something else I didn't need just to get an iced water for my toddler. The girl at bogarts, without hesitation, gave me an iced water. I said "are you sure? I can buy a muffin or something" she said "seriously it's no problem." And because of that, I went back a few hours later to get an iced chai, and now bogarts is the only coffee shop we'll give our money to every week in seal beach. Funny how not being cheap and a penny pincher with your paying customers will benefit you in the long run. Javatinis could learn a thing or two from them... I tell all of my seal beach family and friends to only go to bogarts from now on.

The carpets and walls are "rustic" if you're being generous, but honestly they looked cigarette-stained and filthy. The service was atrocious too. It took nearly THIRTY MINUTES just to get tea. Tea. Not a five-course meal. Then we waited OVER AN HOUR for finger sandwiches that tasted like cafeteria scraps. Most of the food was genuinely awful. The only remotely edible items were the tomato soup, cucumber/egg sandwich, and chicken quiche -- except the quiche wasn't even included and cost an extra $22, which is insane for a place already charging premium prices for mediocrity. The "egg sandwich" was basically stale yellow bread with microscopic traces of egg. And whoever decided HAM AND BLUEBERRY CREAM CHEESE belonged in a finger sandwich needs to be fired immediately. Even the table decor looked terrible. Every table had random mismatched pieces from different sets instead of a cohesive theme, so the whole place just felt cluttered, lazy, and disorganized. Nothing about this experience felt charming or intentional. I waited over an hour to eat garbage in a room that smelled like dust and neglect. Absolutely do not recommend. I wasn't paying, but the experience costed over $100 (including $60 from a groupon).
