Bang for your Buck $$$ For typical matcha prices (~$8) you get a tonnn of drink!! You will surely feel caffeinated after drinking this. Howeverrrrr.. it is a little on the milkier side which i don't like. In my opinion, Rōk, stagger, & community goods have better & stronger matcha. But this is yummy if you are in westminster! The Einspanner is definitely better than the double matcha!
I definitely love the green nature vibe of this place. It is very cozy and it feels like you're in a little greenhouse. They're seating for you to sit chill study meet up with friends or family. The coffee is very strong and they have great cream tops if that's what you're looking for service is great and very friendly and very helpful if you have any questions with their menu
Taty's has a lot of unique drinks that you can choose from. I liked everything I got the second time around. I would come back here. Tip: Don't get crystal boba. I got this the first time and it was very dense and didn't taste good. Drinks are just right in sweetness. Get at least 75% here and don't go too low. * Ube Matcha Latte 4.5/5 - This was tasty, though I wish the ube flavor came across more. It was very understated. I got Osmanthus Mochi Jelly addon and it was yummy, a cross between a grass jelly and mochi texture with a light sweetness. * Mini Breadsticks 5/5 - These were like crispy banh mi. I like that they were protein-packed with pork floss and pate. * Popcorn Chicken 5/5 - Crispy and delicious popcorn chicken. Their spicy level may be a bit high as I ordered mild, but it was more like a medium (maybe it was just the seasonings being concentrated at the top). * Pink Guava Strawberry Tea 5/5 - Very refreshing and sweet drink, hint of guava and strawberry, not strong taste. * Blended Oreo Brulee 5/5 - Creamy, eggy, sweet goodness. It was a real treat. Your mouth is like Oreo-land with bouncy egg custard.
Stopped by Taty's Specialty Coffee in Westminster and it's a great spot if you're a matcha lover. The place has a clean, cozy setup and felt like a solid place to hang out or grab a drink on the go. The person helping us was friendly and got our drinks made pretty quickly even with a bit of a line. We got the Double Matcha and the Matcha Einspänner, and both were really well made. The Double Matcha was smooth and rich with a strong matcha flavor that wasn't bitter at all. The Matcha Einspänner was the standout though, that creamy whipped top over the matcha created the perfect balance of rich and refreshing, definitely a unique drink you don't see everywhere. Prices were reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and everything felt fresh and well made. Great coffee shop overall, and I'll definitely be back to try more off their menu.
I've been back into the boba kick lately. I found this spot and what attracts me was the pandan milk with ube foam. Ube and pandan are my favorite and it's not often you find a boba place that offers both flavors let alone in one drink! I got the pandan milk with ube foam and it did not disappoint. I'm caffeine sensitive and I found this spot at night so this was perfect since there's no tea or coffee in the one. It was a great combination. The boba was also perfectly chewy just how I like it. The customer service was good and the place was nice. I'm definitely coming back!
Here's a polished version of your review: I've been to both the Westminster and Brookhurst locations of Taty's, and this location is definitely easier when it comes to parking. With the current matcha craze, I noticed they've expanded their matcha offerings but reduced some of their traditional tea selections, including High Mountain Oolong and Red Jade Oolong from Taiwan, where boba tea originated more than 40 years ago. On this visit, we ordered the Rising Phoenix and Iron Buddha teas. Unfortunately, both tasted a bit watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. I hope they pay closer attention to quality control, especially for their tea-based drinks. That said, the convenient location and parking make it a place I would likely stop by again when I'm in the area.
Top favorite matchas!! The matcha is a perfect balance of sweet and that banana top is sooo good, once mixed with the matcha its really delicious. Almost every time I go it is packed but they are fast even when you get food. They have plenty of seating to come sit down and do work or study.

Oh DanG! Just tried the iced coconut blended coffee. It's was delicious. Topped with shaved toasted coconut flakes and iced coconut. Very flavorful and refreshing. I give 5 stars plus more. One of the best coffee shops in Westminster. I'll definitely come back.

The matcha einspanner is delicious, I usually get 25% sweetness with oat milk and it's perfect. The cream on top is soo thick!! We love the matcha blended coconut as well for a cold refreshing drink. The popcorn chicken medium spice with sweet and sour sauce hits the spot for a savory snack with your drink. Ambiance is relaxed, friendly and social, lots of young Asian kiddos around with their friends.
I walked through the doors at 3pm on a Monday. I was stunned by the massive crowd of girls when I walked into this place; it took effort to maneuver my way to the front counter. It was like a popular downtown bar on a Saturday night (or, more appropriately for this age group, a Zara Larsson* concert). I'm guessing a nearby school just got out. It was difficult to determine who was waiting to order at one of the two kiosks and who was waiting to pick up their order. I somehow got into a line for a kiosk and, after waiting my turn, quickly determined that it didn't appear that they served hot lattes so I ordered a blended coconut coffee. Apparently, no pastries of any kind are served here either (which was disappointment #2). I waited and waited. And waited for nearly 20 minutes. Those who ordered after me were getting their drinks before me. The group behind the counter seemed to be making drinks at random; complete chaos. When I finally got mine I edged my way through the crowd and out the door, thankful to make it out alive. I sat in my car, flummoxed by what I'd just experienced, and had my coffee drink. It was pretty good, a nice balance of coffee and coconut flavor with some coconut flakes on top. I prefer a more relaxed space to easily order, then sit and enjoy a coffee drink, so no, I won't be back. *for those reading this review in 2040, she was a popular singer that teen girls liked.
My gf loves matcha so we tried this spot out. I got the double matcha latte and was hoping that it would have some hint of bitterness but all I could taste was sweetness. I didn't really feel like the matcha was coming through. I also didn't feel like the foam belonged in the drink but maybe I'm tripping. The store itself was cool and had a nice vibe. It was packed at the time but service is pretty quick. I can see this as a place where people hang out but I don't think I would go out of my way to get a drink here.
Yelp did it again--helped us find another hidden gem! Taty's was exactly what we were looking for in a great matcha spot. On our first visit, we ordered the banana hojicha and the blended coconut coffee--both were absolutely amazing. The banana hojicha had such a smooth, rich flavor with just the right hint of sweetness, and the coconut coffee was refreshing, creamy, and perfectly blended. We were so impressed that we came back the very next day before heading back to Las Vegas. This time, we grabbed a banana matcha latte and a hot coconut coffee for the road--both just as delicious as the day before. And of course, we couldn't leave without trying a little more from the menu... and everything continued to impress. The quality, flavor, and consistency really stood out. If you're a matcha lover or just looking for something unique and well-crafted, Taty's is definitely worth the stop. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town!

their matcha coconut refresher is soooo good! normally i prefer the pink coconut water but this one was very good. they even added real coconut in it. probably top 2 coconut matcha in oc and will come back just for this. their popcorn chicken was ok, a little salty but still good. read more
It's been a WHILE since I've been needing to try Taty's. So many people sing its praises as the best matcha in OC. We finally had the chance to drive over and try it! Parking is super accessible. You can order via a screen and customize the drinks. We got all the drinks as they come (ex. no sweetness or milk changes). The portions are also generous. Unfortunately, the 3 stars part comes after drinking the drinks. I got the Pandan Matcha and my sister the Einspanner. We knew these are generally sweetened drinks, but these felt unusually thick and sugary. For a few hours after consuming them, they just sat super heavy and gave us a lot of nausea. I would recommend getting the drinks half sweet. read more

I was excited to finally try it here after seeing it on socials, but I ended up not being too fond of my drink. I had to try their double matcha because..of course, you just have to! Lol. Matcha was the goal so I had to taste their matcha on matcha. The foam top was yummy with the first taste test, then the drink itself came next which was also tasty. Once everything mixed together, it all felt waaay to thick and overly creamy for my liking and everything started to feel too sweet. The whole drink was tasting more like a dessert than a good ol iced matcha latte. Next time, I'd try another matcha latte without an overpowering foam top or just an espresso latte. Also ordered the fish balls which were hot and delicious when you eat it fresh! It came with a sweet and sour dipping sauce. Utilized the ordering screen upon entering so that I could explore the menu options and make any specific edits. It was super packed inside with every table and seat fully occupied with people studying/working/hanging out so we had to take our drink and food to go and snack in the car. read more
I've been wanting to try Taty's Specialty Coffee & Tea for the longest time after constantly seeing it all over TikTok, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to go. My friend got the Classic Matcha Latte, and I got the Double Matcha Latte, which was really good. The matcha was smooth, creamy, and well balanced without being overly sweet. What really stood out to me was the cream top on the double matcha. It was thick, silky, and added a rich texture to the drink while still letting the matcha flavor come through clearly. The drink felt really comforting and well crafted overall. The café itself is clean, spacious, and well kept, making it a nice spot for people to sit down and get work done or just hang out for a while. The worker was really kind and welcoming, and you could tell they cared about creating a good experience for customers. Taty's!! All of their matchas HIT. Whether you want something unique like the corn matcha, more earthy like the einspenner, or extra creamy like the double matcha.. they've got you covered! I've also tried their Vietnamese coffee before, and it was strong and so good -- just how I like it. Honestly, all their drinks are perfect for a solid pick-me-up. I've been to Taty's before and loved it the double matcha and matcha einspanner (which I'm pretty sure is what made them go viral) were both amazing, so I came back with high expectations. This visit was a bit different. We ordered through the kiosk this time, which may have played a part. One thing worth noting: when you select "less ice," they don't fill the cup all the way, so it looks like you've already taken a few sips before even touching your drink. I get the reasoning behind it, but it would be helpful if that was communicated upfront or if the option was adjusted, because it definitely affects the experience. Out of the three drinks coconut matcha (regular ice), pandan matcha (less ice), and kumquat green tea the coconut matcha was the winner. The pandan matcha threw us off, partly because of the taste but also because of how it was filled. The kumquat green tea was surprisingly sour even at 100% sweetness, though the grass jelly in it was genuinely the best part. I've had a similar drink at other spots where the balance felt better, so it might've just been an ordering thing on our end. On the bright side, the place was packed definitely a busy day and we still got our drinks pretty quickly. The wait was reasonable given how crowded it was, and we really appreciated that. Overall, still a spot I did enjoy and would come back to. I'd probably stick to their popular matcha drinks next time for a more consistent experience. read more
Much has been said about the matcha at Taty's so I decided to give it a try with their Pandan Matcha Latte with 25% sweetness. It's a great drink if you're a fan of the Pandan/Matcha combo. You do taste more of the Pandan than the matcha, but the matcha is there and it's isnt overlysweet. Overall, it was a refreshing drink that I thoroughly enjoyed. The ambiance here is of your typical café with plenty of tables and chairs inside to relax or study. It does get pretty busy though so expect a crowd inside with some moderate noise. You primarily order through a kiosk, so I didnt interact with the service too much. Drinks can take a little while to make especially when it's busy, but I was still probably in and out of there in about 15 minutes or so. read more
I was visiting my dad in Westminster and I needed my matcha fix. Happy I found this place cause the matcha I got was pretty good. I like that you can customize it too lol I feel like not a lot of places in LA can customize a matcha drink. I got a banana matcha. The cream was great, the matcha tasted earthy (which I love), and it had like little banana chips or toffee nuts in it too. Now I know where to go whenever I visit my dad. A couple weeks ago, there was a Matcha Run event held on Saturday around 11am, where participants walked/ran from Goldenwest Park to Taty's. The event's goal was to bring awareness to mental health, and with about 400 RSVP'd, a portion of the sales at Taty's went to charity. As you might imagine, the line to order extended along the shaded path along the buildings until end of the line was out in the hot, blistering sun. Luckily, I was able to get there early and had just about ten or so customers in front. I ordered their Matcha Coconut Refresher based off the recommendation of the store clerk. At first glance, I mistakenly thought the bottom portion looked like soda, but it turned out to be coconut water. When blended together with the matcha ganache, the flavor created a delightfully balanced, not too sweet drink. There were a few bites of actual coconut too. I heard from others that the Strawberry and Ube Matcha drinks are pretty good, so I'd be interested in trying them next time. read more

Lighting is nice and it is not too packed. Wait Time: No line but drink took about ~10min. Items Order: 8/10 Ube Matcha $7.5 - Ube cream was better than da vien's but matcha is just ok. I will never forget my first time at Taty's. It legit felt like heaven on Earth (for matcha)! I have been a patron for almost a year and a half and really appreciate how they have adjusted their services (for the better!) due to their increased popularity. Every worker is incredibly attentive and kindhearted, even amidst the dozens of orders they receive so frequently. The ambiance, when busy, is cozy, intimate, and energetic. The flavor, the serving sizes, and the price - these all make Taty's stand out in a sea of Orange County shops that have made $8 12 oz matcha lattes the new norm. I have pretty much tried every matcha drink of theirs at this point, and let me say, you cannot go wrong with any of their matcha drinks! read more
My coworker recommended this specialty coffee and tea spot, so I had to give it a try. I ordered the Matcha Einspanner, which looked almost identical to Airoma--beautiful presentation and definitely Instagram-worthy. The first sip was promising and gave that rich, creamy matcha vibe, but by the second sip, you can tell the matcha quality isn't quite there. It leans more on the sweeter, less robust side rather than that deep, earthy flavor you'd expect from higher-grade matcha. Service, however, was great--friendly, efficient, and welcoming despite how busy it was. There's clearly a lot of hype around this place, as it drew a pretty big crowd while I was there. Overall, a trendy spot with solid service, but the matcha could use an upgrade to really match the aesthetic and buzz. read more

My favorite was the matcha coconut refresher. It was super refreshing, light, and not overly sweet. The coconut and matcha combo worked really well together and it's definitely something I'd order again. We also tried the popcorn chicken, which was surprisingly really good. It came out hot, crispy, and flavorful, perfect to snack on while sipping a drink. Always love finding local coffee spots like this and we'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. read more

I loved their House Coffee! I tried their banana latte but I ordered 75% sugar when full sugar would've been spectacular. The service was very quick. The store has indoor seating (a lot). The music is a vibe, and there were many people working and studying. Hope to go back soon! read more

I visited Taty's for a Corn Matcha Latte lightly sweet. It was everything I had expected, though a tad edge too sweet still. I enjoyed the drink nonetheless. Service was okay; there really wasn't much other than picking up the drink since ordering was on a self-service kiosk. In terms of seating, there's ample seating inside with a variety of options. My friend and I opted for the lower chairs with a coffee table. The cushions though dirty were thin but made the wood more comfortable. For working, there's free Wi-Fi here, and there's ample parking. This spot is likely a local favorite, as a line started forming near 11am. Ordered a double matcha drink but the cream top was banana cream. I asked them fix it, thinking they'd remake the drink, but they just scooped out most of the banana cream and put in the matcha cream. Smears and bits of the banana cream remained when they handed me the "corrected" drink. I found it extremely odd. What I ended up with was a hybrid banana cream double matcha drink haha. Wasn't bad, but it's not what I wanted. Truly a lazy way to fix their mistake. And definitely cheap. read more
Taty's is one of my go to spots for matcha! I ordered the black sesame matcha latte and it was amazing. The black sesame cream was nutty and complimented the strong matcha flavor well. I also appreciated how they accomodated for 25% sweetness too. The drinks came out super quickly as well. Highly recommend! read more
Came here after having dinner with my daughter and this is one of her favorite place to go because she likes the drink here. She ordered a banana matcha and it was very good and I had a ube matcha which it was very good as well. Service here was very good, once you ordered at kiosk and pay .. they're pretty fast on making the drinks. Located in a plaza with plenty of parking. Taty's has a few tables inside. There's a counter you can order from as well as two kiosks to order digitally. I've tried a few of their teas. I really enjoyed their Phoenix oolong milk tea which had a nice flavor. Their matcha is good quality and rich in flavor. They offer other milk option as well. Taty's is the go to for any matcha drink. I always gravitate back towards the blended coconut matcha. It's that good. If you like coconut, this hits the spot for a creamy coconut refreshing drink. The matcha just takes it to a whole other level. I've had the one from da vien and it's not the same. Taty's blends it to where there isn't any ice chunks. The coffees and regular matcha drinks here are insane too. Notably the pandan matcha if you like pandan. Popcorn chicken and Cajun fries are delicious too. I highly recommend their hojicha and mango slush if you go. My favorite part of all three drinks is that they aren't overly sweet. Sometimes a drink's flavor is overpowered by the sweetness but you can taste that everything is made fresh. The tart mango flavor made the drink super refreshing and delicious.
