This Peet's is beyond amazing to me. I just got my lavender honey latte (made by Lauren) and it is absolutely amazing just like always. Faith and Francis are always efficient and friendly to me as a regular I love this courtesy. This Peet's opens really early and is the only coffee shop that does so in Sonoma. This Peet's is huge! I'm in love with their Lavender vanilla latte. The service was great, place was clean & very spacious, and they even had an outside patio area that you could sit at. Great place to meet up or chill. I went on a Sunday around 11am or noon and parking was very easy. In fact, I parked right in front of the store. If I could, it would be zero stars. Walked in late, they were about to close in 5 minutes. I patiently waited for the woman behind the counter to take my order. When she acknowledged that I was standing in front of her, she said that she was in the middle of deleting things " in the system". I asked her if I was too late to order a hot chocolate, she said it was fine. I went ahead and ordered. Might as well have ben just warm milk because there is no chocolate taste whatsoever. Not hot at all, Luke warm at best. I realized that I ordered 5 minutes before the closing time, I asked if it was okay. With the cold mornings I've been craving a cinnamon roll. And yesterday after a stressful morning I decided to get one. Oh what bliss! So delicious and satisfying. The only thing I would recommend for this outstanding cinnamon roll is for the icing/frosting to have a hint of orange zest. Orange zest enhances and boosts the flavor, I think. Anyway! All you cinnamon roll fans out there Peet's is the place to go for a yummy and gratifying treat. The service, staff and atmosphere of the Peet's in Sonoma is outstanding! I started ordering on the app so that they would not mess up my order, long behold they added regular milk instead of oat milk. These guys charge me extra for adding oat milk. I am vegan for over 10 years so I can taste the puss in the milk. If you are not vegan this may be a great store but not so much for vegans. read more

I used to love this Peet's location, but the service lately has been pretty horrific. A young man helped me on 4/8 (long hair, highlighted) and I had to repeat my order 3x because he wasn't payment attention. He neglected to place my hot breakfast sandwich item in the oven, and I waited a good 15 minutes before I asked about my order. When I did, he seemed rather unconcerned, although did put my sandwich in the oven, only to place it on the food table, 2 feet from where I was sitting. You'd think that he could consider handing this off to me directly, especially when he screwed up my order. Horrible customer service. read more

I've been a loyal Peet's customer for 40 years, starting with their original Berkeley stores. The coffee is still excellent, in my opinion, but the service at this specific location has been spotty. Two examples: A few days ago, I went to place my routine mobile pick-up order in the app - small, brewed drip coffee. I open the app, and drip coffee had been inexplicably removed from the app menu. ???? I contacted Live Chat, and the agent doesn't know why and says he'll have to look into it and email me later. So.... no drip coffee that day. Sigh. I get an email a couple days later saying drip coffee is back on the app. No explanation as to why it disappeared in the first place. Yesterday, I ordered my mobile app half caff coffee with a splash of 2% milk. I didn't notice until I drove away that there was no milk - just black coffee. I emailed Peet's with screenshots and they credited the price of the coffee to my app (not a refund, mind you. A credit - which assures them another purchase from me). This is just 2 of several issues I've had with this location. I'm new to the North Bay, but I rarely had these kinds of issues with the Alameda locations I patronized for many years before moving. I don't know what the deal is here in Sonoma. read more

I've been coming here on my break for years. The staff has always been attentive and friendly. My only gripe is it's hard to get a consistent mocha from them. My go to is the Dark Chocolate Mocha, and when it's made right, it is satisfying to drink. It's very rare for me to pick one up and have it taste perfect on the first sip. I find that they either don't mix the chocolate well enough and it settles on the bottom, or at times they don't put enough in it. I have to use a stir stick to scrape up the bottom so that's the last quarter isn't sickly sweet while the first three quarters tastes like milk, espresso with a hint of chocolate. I've even tried modifying my drink to add additional chocolate which either fixes the problem or makes it too sweet. I believe it all comes down to who's making your drink. All in all it's still a solid place. Also, I've tried their plant based milks and their cow's milk; I assure you that you cannot taste any pus in their dairy, don't listen to the outlandish tales that come from a food extremist. read more

After drinks during brunch, we all wanted coffee. Walked here on Saturday, March 11th and arrived around 2pm. I ended up getting a Triple Espresso ($3.70). A friend sent me a 50% off coupon so I ended paying only $1.85. Score! Our cashier was friendly and fast. And my espresso was ready in no time. I prefer really strong coffee and espresso, so even though it was a little lighter than I like, it was still good. Nice location. I pulled up this Peet's Coffee on Yelp, and I'm glad we did. I decided to try out the Havana Cappuccino, iced. I was attracted to the fact that it contained condensed milk. Well, my expectations were satisfied. My drink was very delicious, and it gave me the caffeine boost I needed to start the 6 hour drive. The folks here are very friendly, and the place is clean. My absolute favorite Peet's Coffee location! Love that it's right by the Sonoma Square. The inside is big and bright, tons of outlets around so that you can work/study, and charge at the same time. I go here a lot because my husband works down the street and we love Peets coffee but this isn't our favorite store. Only because there is never any parking and it's so frustrating trying to find a spot, sometimes I have to wait across the street at the Shell station and wait for someone to leave. I noticed this location is very popular with older people which is great however when there are two or three older people in front of you in line ordering beans, then it takes FOREVER until you're helped. Which sucks if you're in a hurry or you just want to get your drink and find a place to sit before everyone takes all the seating. The seating sucks here! It's hard to find a spot to sit down and relax. The tables outside are even taken most of the time. I've had to sit in my car a few times because there were no seating available. Bathrooms- what a joke! They have two bathrooms but they always have a sign on one of the bathrooms stating its closed for cleaning. My complaint is that it's ALWAYS like that, there's only really one bathroom because they put the sign up in the other bathroom when they aren't even cleaning it! Most of the workers there are nice but there are some that have attitudes and act put out when you order things, no smile, no hello, just dirty looks like they're pissed off and don't want to be there. Not my favorite location but I come here anyway because it's better than the Dutch Bros across the street. read more

This is one of the better run Peet's Coffee shops that I've been to (and I've been to plenty throughout the Bay Area). It's situated just a block away from the Sonoma Square. They have plenty of street parking. The employees here are both friendly and efficient. The place is immaculate (unlike some other locations that I've been to). And even though Peet's is technically a chain, it still felt like a community coffee shop. The patrons were both young and old and sipping and chatting away with one another. I like this spot a lot. I would totally come back the next time I'm in town and need my caffeine fix. read more

This Peet's was short walk from where Gayle and I were staying this last weekend to celebrate her XYth Birthday. Sorry, it's not polite to ask a Lady about her age. :) I came over to find a Newspaper (which are available at a central rack at the Post Office next door), and stayed long enough to buy a pound of coffee, and enjoy my free cup and a scone. I particularly enjoyed the smiling face and good service of the barista behind the counter. This place is also a lot roomier that the Peet's that I'm accustomed, with lots of comfy chairs available (inside and outside) to sit, hang out, and relax. Plus a few loose newspapers were readily available. I suppose you could stuff a few more seats in here for peak periods, but a straight walk in/walk out, does not a 2 Star Review or personal experience make. read more

I LOVE Peet's. The staff are the best and quick to learn your name and order, saying Hi to you. I get a low sugar mocha there (no syrups, just Dutch powder) that tastes like bittersweet chocolate. Their quiches are yummy and my favorite is the spicy chicken chorizo wrap. I honestly think their coffee tastes better than you know who. Lol read more
