2nd Floor Patio pool area overlooking Duval St

Our 1st time to KeyWest overwhelmed with choosing a place to stay that didn't break the bank but clean & close to Duvall St. This place was great! Website does not do this place justice! It's only 26 rooms 3 story smaller building on the corner . Has a Havana Miami vibe. Older but taken care of, clean & customer service excellent. The night manager Natalie/Natalia was So friendly.... In perfect location regardless of what your wanting! Much quieter than what I was expecting with the very busy night life. Out of all the restaurants we ate in Key West, we found that the super tiny hole in the wall next door. Mr. Z's Pizza ended up being probably our favorite foods especially late night hunger ! It was open till 1am weekdays and 4am weekends and seemed to be a very busy place non stop! We would definitely stay here again!

    Nice room, horrible sheets

We checked in at 4:30 and I knew from reading reviews that the drink coupons were only good until 5. What we didn't know was that the bar was only open 4-5. We got our free wine and in this case you definitely get what you pay for. We had the pool to ourselves for about an hour, so that was nice. The room was very tiny but very cute. Our room looked out on Duval so it was a little noisy late at night, but that is to be expected and didn't bother us. The location was fantastic, we could walk everywhere. I enjoyed the Elemis bath products. But Pegasus gets a 3 and not a 4 because the sheets sucked. They were cheap and pilled. You can't call your hotel "stylish and sophisticated " with those sheets. A comfy bed is the most important part of the visit and it was difficult to sleep on those sheets.

First time staying here about 3 weeks ago. I was searching online for a decently priced hotel in Key West and this was pretty reasonable about $325 (including tax) per night on a high spring break season. I've been to Key West numerous time and passed by this hotel so many times but never had thought of staying there. I normally prefer B&Bs and the facade of Pegasus is art deco but its smacked right on the center of the Duval strip. Can't beat the location and they also have a private car lot for just $10 bucks a day. We walked in the lobby and was really surprised that it was clean, fresh smelling & organized even though it was small. The reception lady was also polite and informative. Check in was a breeze. Arrived at 3pm & our room was ready: 1) 2 double beds w/ fresh linens. They were comfortable too. 2) Wood floors. Thank god cause I don't really like carpets in hotels. 3) Window A/C (no central). It works well but it maybe a bit noisy for some. 4) LCD TV, Coffee Maker, Micro & Fridge. Perfect for left overs and booze :) 5) Building has a rooftop pool w/ bar & lounge. Our room was next to it so we didn't have view of Duval. 6) Modern bathroom was tiny but had shower (no tub). This was the only downside cause it was really tight in there. We liked the built in soap, shower gel, shampoo pumps. Although the furnishings were somewhat dated, they were not banged up. Room was clean and had enough amenities for the guest. It was comfortable and satisfactory considering we were there for short time and didn't really plan to stay indoors. Again, the location was excellent, right on the strip. Almost forgot, there's a Walgreens and pretty good espresso / pizza joint in the same building. See my pics.

This place is absolutely disgusting! They had no towels. They were very angry when we called and asked for towels in our room. There were none at the pool as well! The bed had stains on it. There was mold in the windowsills and caked up dust on the chandeliers. There was no hand sanitizers that were filled. They were all empty. The employees were not wearing masks! And the behavior by the owner was absolutely pompous. He was so angry he checked us out and called the police to try to get us trespassed in the Key West Police Department ultimately told him to stop wasting their time. The guys behavior is absolutely unethical. We filed a complaint with Tallahassee health department.

Going to Key West? Make sure to shack up at the Pegasus - RIGHT OFF DUVAL This place has the retro charm - but still has all the modern necessities - like a roof top pool with a bar. You are able to get cheap, reserved parking that is just around the corner so you never have to worry about that. The rooms are a little small - but when your crawling into your bed at 4AM that's the last of your concerns. The rooms are pretty affordable considering they are right on Duval in the center of everything. In Key West you really can't do much better than the Pegasus.

Giving a solid 4 stars. Honestly its much easier to list what could be improved. And considering…read morethis environment, I can only think of a couple. 1. Hot Tin Roof Restaurant. The breakfasts for the price taste dismal and lower quantity. 2 eggs bacon, toast, and chopped potatoes a bit over $20 as most other dishes plus smaller sizes if you just want a donut or similar. The vibe I get is for breakfast this place is for guests who have a hotel package that includes free breakfasts. They also charge a 18% mandatory "service charge" and of course another line for the tip. We didn't do dinner here. I hope its better than the breakfast. 2. We booked under The Edge Chase Sapphire Reserve so its $100 property credit and free breakfasts for 2. When you consider "service charges" tips, taxes, and determine what the credit can be used for, it becomes a bit confusing. I know for a fact that laundry is not included, neither is the $50/day valet parking. Sort of an resort advantage to keep the guest guessing. Drinks food, spa i know are included with the $100. The valet guy was cool and informative. Considering the small island size and the cost of everything, this was a great stay. The room and balcony overlooking Malery Square plus the ocean and Sunset Island were fantastic. I have stayed at many locations over the years and this was by far the best. Pegasus on Duval is a dump. Both Hyatts are nice but on east side of the island so transportation becomes an issue. Do you really want to drive close to Duvall....if you can find a space, then pay for parking? This place is 2 blocks from Sloppy Joe's, Hogsbreath, next to Malerly Square and sunset pier. Walking distance to the hot spots at night.

It was major problem for us. second night they moved us to our room which has broken AC And gave us boxed fan to cool off. Front desk manager is clueless and don't know how to handle issues and he has kids working for him who do not know how to handle anything. They are like teenagers. I would never ever stay there again and warn anyone not to there. Oh you will wake up 5am because of dumpster trucks getting the trash and it takes like 20 min. Another thing is their damn roosters , they start 4am and won't let you sleep. Jesus, it was 3 days of hell!

Check-in was busy when we arrived, but the staff remained friendly, patient, and accommodating. We've stayed here several times over the years, including during the renovations, so we've seen the resort through all its phases. It's wonderful to see everything almost completed, and the property looks great. Throughout every visit, the staff has always gone above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. One thing we've learned is that if you have a special request, just ask , they're happy to help whenever they can. Our two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family. We love the layout and found it incredibly comfortable. While many guests prefer the ocean-view rooms, we actually enjoy them, even with the occasional cruise ship in the harbor. Besides, you're in Key West! Take a walk and explore, you'll find gorgeous ocean views all around the island. The location truly couldn't be better. You're within walking distance of Duval Street, Mallory Square, great restaurants, shopping, and so many Key West attractions. A female guest was verbally cornered and aggressively berated by an enraged male patron over a minor non-issue involving a bird near the family pool deck. Despite multiple eyewitnesses, who were asked to confirm the woman did nothing wrong and that the man was the sole aggressor, hotel security decided to de-escalate his threatening behavior. In addition, it seems security contacted local police on behalf of the man to have the female guest and her children removed under threat of arrest. We fully understand that this hotel is private property and management has the right to enforce rules on its premises. However, paying patrons also have rights. One of them is the right to a safe environment and fair treatment. Using private property rights to shield an aggressive patron while penalizing a victimized woman is a complete failure of duty of care. As a paying guest, watching management handle this safety concern the way it did was alarming and disappointing. While this was a verbal assault and not a physical assault, it should not diminish the fact that the female patron responded to the man to de-escalate using logic instead of emotions. To the mom - please reach out here via message to let us know you are safe and sound with your family. We tried reaching out through the hotel and on OoenTable/Google Business. Hope you're doing ok now! To the man with anger issues on principle - just because you thought your child (and the woman's children) may have overheard a swear word when a bird was being shooed away from tainting the pool water, it could have stopped with you. Teach your child to not say that word instead of dressing down a mom in public for your audience. This could be a core memory for children and adults, especially those who witness this in the home. My own children, who watched this performance, said to me they were worried the argument would turn physically violent. I'm happy it didn't, but it did ruin our afternoon. We have not been back to the family pool since then. Life is short, my brother, and you got your free drink. Please choose better next time. There was no need to get security and local police involved. I am sharing this with you, sir, and others here because I, too, have anxiety and PTSD from work, life, and other challenges. It's an ongoing process, and never too late to work through it. This is the reason we chose to vacation at this resort and relax. https://www.betterhelp.com/advice/anger/where-to-find-effective-free-anger-management-classes-that-really-work-and-where-to-get-therapy-online/ *** But there's good news about this resort. You were all patient, kind, and experienced in your hospitality. You went the extra mile for us. Thank you.
