Figured we had to buy food to use the restroom. Worked out cause the restrooms were clean. Corn in the cup was huge and filling for $6. We also bought a carne asada burrito and it held up well for the 2 hour drive home. It was surprisingly very good to-go. The meat was flavorful, we did not need to re-heat it, very good. Do not eat here if you're charging your Tesla. The customer service was extremely disappointing. Before I could even use the restroom, I was told I had to purchase something first. It was frustrating because it should have been obvious that my entire family and I were there intending to eat. A little common sense and courtesy would have gone a long way. I was already willing to overlook the restaurant's B health grade and give this place a chance, but after the poor customer service we received, that turned out to be a mistake. Good thing we didn't eat here. :-/ It's in front of the Tesla charging station so we thought it would be ok to use the restroom and stay inside in the AC, while charging. I was really disappointed with my experience. The portions were huge, but unfortunately the quality of the food was very poor. Bigger portions don't make up for food that just doesn't taste good. The aguas frescas were also disappointing and definitely not worth the $9 price. They lacked flavor and didn't taste fresh. The worst part of my experience was finding a hair in my food that appeared to be a pubic hair. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my appetite. First time visiting while traveling with my family and stopping for a quick bite. I appreciated the sign stating that restrooms are for customers only, especially since the Shell gas station across the street had public restrooms with a long line. However, the customer service was disappointing. While I was placing my order, the cashier stopped assisting me to help another customer with a receipt issue. I did not like this, as it was my turn and my order should have been completed first. He also began handing out other ready orders, which is understandable, but a simple "sorry, please wait" would have made a difference. There was also no greeting. I'm giving three stars mainly due to poor customer service. On a positive note, they did have utensils and a salsa bar, which was nice. We ordered a corn cup and a chicken taco. Food freshness looks alright but could be better. Service on the other hand isn't great because no one really is helping you. You walk in and there is a self service kiosk. Great quality, great quantity, great value. This Mexican food spot is located just past Barstow on the 15 making it an awesome restaurant stop. Stopped here to just take a breather and stretch but my girlfriend and I ended up stopping inside the shop and bought a few tacos since we were going to use the restroom. Honestly I didn't expect much considering it's a shop located in the middle of "nowhere" with no competition around but I was massively surprised by how delicious the tacos were. The price was similar to what many of the taco stands in my area are charging and they offer a larger selection of meat with awesome amenities. The tripe here was other-worldly. They also had a birria taco which was also quite delicious. The staff there was primarily Spanish-speaking but was able to communicate with us with serviceable English so I didn't feel like any of my needs weren't met. Their restaurant is also extremely clean and they have a very clean restroom also. Super cute and cozy spot for a pit stop. You won't be disappointed by the food here. read more

This taco place is located at a Tesla super charger on I 15 near Barstow. Taco are so good 5/5!! We tried Al Pastor and carne asada. However they were out of a lot of things on the menu like birria tacos, corn and few other items. Fries were made fresh and were delicious. They have a small salsa bar with 3 types of salsa, my favorite was the habanero one. It was 110 degrees outside and their AC was not working. It was horrible to sit there and wait for food to be made and we could barely eat as it was so hot. They didn't even have a fan for backup. The owner didn't seem to care. I decided to try this place as I was heading home from a trip driving south on the I 15. I made a pitstop to use the restroom and while I was there, I ordered one El Pastore taco and a small Horchata. The place was clean and so were the bathrooms so that was a plus. Whoever owns the lot is very smart as they have installed 20 Tesla chargers in the middle of nowhere... This place is located in Yermo. My taco was delicious. It it was on the smaller side like a street taco however, the meat was perfectly seasoned and grilled, and it had all the right toppings, such as cilantro, onion, and avocado salsa. The restaurant has a salsa bar and also offers additional condiments, such as lime, jalapeños, cucumber, and radishes, along side of three different types of salsa: green, tomatillo, salsa, habanero salsa, and a roasted tomatillo red chili salsa. My taco was perfect. It was hot and the tortillas were made from yellow corn and tasted homemade, but I don't think they were. The meat was tender and seasoned well and I used the roasted tomatillo red sauce and it was very delicious. It was spicy and had a kick but wasn't overpowering. The Horchata was delicious. I could definitely taste a good amount of vanilla in it. I will definitely stop in again. I hope next time they aren't out of Carne Asada or Tripa... Those were the two types of meats that I actually wanted to try. The service was good. The man who took my order was friendly and went out of his way to make sure my taco was wrapped in foil, so it would not get cold while I was taking care of my pitstop (lmao)!! Until next time... I honestly did NOT expect this place to be this good. I had literally just finished a meal nearby and only stopped by because I needed to use the restroom. I saw the sign on the door and the little barrier setup, and somehow just ended up walking over to the ordering area. I had zero expectations -- I was basically ready to spend money just to use the bathroom. But wow... the food completely surprised me. The portions are super generous, and everything was packed with flavor. As a Chinese person who really loves Mexican food, I can honestly say this is one of the better Mexican meals I've had. This isn't entirely on them though because this is right next to a Tesla charging station which is why we even stopped there in the first place. We stopped to charge our car and had two options in the middle of nowhere - a gas station, or this taco place. Luckily, we chose the taco place, and the tacos were amazing! We did a taco deal and for the amount of tacos and price it was very affordable, and they had a salsa bar where we got to try 4 different salsas, my favorite being the salsa Verde. You order at the counter and they call it out, it came up super quickly. The restaurant itself is a little run down but not too bad. We also had elote in a cup and mac and cheese, but those weren't as good as the tacos. Definitely a stop of convenience, but worth it if you're in the area. read more

Ordered 2 tacos, reluctantly as the place didn't seem clean at all, but had to pee very badly. The women's bathroom had 3 stalls and no toilet paper in any of them, also no toilet seat covers which could be used as a substitute in dire circumstances like this! I went back out to the counter and said there was no toilet paper in any of the stalls so he gave me one roll. Several women came in to use the restroom but no toilet paper so I handed them my roll from under the door of my stall. I then went out and asked for more rolls for the other stalls as there were quite a few ladies waiting to use the restroom with the one roll of toilet paper and he said no! He just didn't care. So tight with the tissue and expensive 2 little tiny tacos for $10, we definitely won't be back to this restaurant or charging station again. FYI the Shell gas station next door isn't much better, have to buy something to use their restroom and they only have 1 shared restroom. read more

Stopped to eat here on the way home from Vegas. First thing you notice when arriving is the smell. All the tables were dirty except for a few. At least they warned us. The trash was full to the max and overflowing. The condiment bar and the Agua Fresca looked like they were left out all day with no cooler or ice. I touched the containers the drinks were in a they were only slightly cool so no thanks. The elote cup was made with canned corn that wasn't drained well but tastes okay. Driving a Tesla, it's always a predicament with charging and finding food. I was ecstatic to see that this charging location had a taqueria! As I walked up to the restaurant, I saw a sign for Corn in a Cup. Immediately, I knew I was going to get that. I ordered 2 chicken tacos and the corn, and the food was extremely fast to be ready, and piping hot. The corn was delicious, and I added some Tajin on top as well. The tacos were perfect, with the tortillas being the perfect texture and the chicken tasting fresh.
