Very poor customer service; very bad operations management. First of all, there was a 40 min wait to get our food, even the restaurant only had 2-3 other in-house customers. To their credit, they did tell us the wait would be 20 mins, but it was much longer than that. We ordered the 4-person meal. When the dumplings came out, they were still cold on the inside. They took them, reheated them & sent the back out. Out of the 3 entrees, one tasted burnt. We were missing the Thai donuts, & they told us that they were out & offered 2 brownies. When we asked for 2 more brownies ( 4 person meal), they said they couldn't do that. That was it; we asked for the manager. The manager sent out another employee with 1 more brownie saying that they were out of brownies, too.... This was 6:30 on a Sunday afternoon. not once did the manager come out to speak to us, even after we asked for him/her. Such a disappointment. read more

Ok don't know why people expect this place to be a five stars restaurant. But hey I am not the one to judge. The place was jumping when I went, there are many tables and amble of parking. Self serve style you ordered the food and they give you a number and they bring it out to you. The people I encounter were nice no complains. I ordered the lettuce wrap, if you ever had PF Cheng's lettuce wrap it is like that. Fresh lettuce and meat and sauce was right on point. However the egg roll is not the best I had. I was really sad to see my neighborhood Pei Wei go. I hadn't had them in almost a year. But I stumbled across this location a few months ago and come at least 2-3 times a month. Lorie the manger is phenomenal. She's always goes above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of when dining in and makes sure we have what we need when taking our togo order. The food is always hot and fresh. And the restaurant is always spotless. This is our new favorite eating spot. read more

Order take out tonight for Mother's Day and got chicken pad Thai. I've been to this location dozens of times and it hasn't ever tasted like this. Super burnt and charred flavor. Couldn't even finish eating it it was such an awful taste. Update: I got a phone call and they have apologized for the poor experience I had and they were super kind and helpful! This is not the Pei Wei of the past. Go anywhere but here. The food is really sad. My dish had a strange taste and I had to change it for Mongolian beef. There was too much sauce and couple of very big chunks of beef that were full of gristle. It is so sad. There wasn't a clean table and we had to wait forever and clearly weren't enough people working. If I could give a 0 I would. I spoke to the manager and he had lots of excuses but bottom line not good. They didn't have tea or forks. I used to love Pei Wei and would drive an hour to eat here but never again. This location is just surprisingly bad. I have to drive 20 minutes to get here because the formerly GREAT location on 1960 closed during the pandemic. Both times I have come here I was greeted with what felt like an attitude. And the whole store is just not getting cleaned properly. Trash under the tables from the day before (Both times I have come close to opening) and a bathroom that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages... I came here for a light dinner, my first experience at a Pei Wei. While the menu board was sleek and modern, the cashier was unfriendly and did not greet me. I asked for two rolls of sushi and two spring rolls, where she then informed me that half of the sushi were out. Instead, I got the two spring rolls and another kind of sushi. My boyfriend and I waited for at least fifteen minutes in the store when it had slow traffic. When I got my bag I thanked the same cashier, who did not reply, and immediately checked my bag (to go). What I found was a mushy roll of sushi splattered on all sides of the container and burnt spring rolls. The flavor of the food was decent, but the service and presentation were subpar. I love the food but the staff is always rude!! The guy taking your order always seems mad he has to be at work. I asked for no onions and the cook lady asked me if I was sure because she was going to have to make a separate order of rice and I said yes please, I don't eat onions. My husband and I have enjoyed the Katy location Pei Wei for years, this location was extremely disappointing. First of all we both got food poisoning which makes me question the quality of the food and cleanliness of the kitchen. I had the drunken noodles, he had the firecracker chicken with fried rice. Second of all the fried rice had a lump of cold white rice in the middle, was poorly seasoned and did not resemble a fried rice, the chicken tasted like an off brand frozen chicken nugget with some sauce on it and the drunken noodles had no good or Chinese flavor whatsoever. This is the most disgusting location I have ever been to. As I walked up to the counter you can see grease stains that have been there for a very long time. Which made me doubt if they clean the kitchen. I can see the cook with no gloves grabbing raw meat and placing it on in a bowl. Great service from the employees and this was my first time here with my mom! Atmosphere is homey and the menu is nicely laid out to where it explains how you can pick out your food. The food was pretty good but the orange chicken just seemed to be missing the flavor the I normally get at a different Chinese restaurant; I mean maybe other restaurants put a lot of msg or some different type of seasoning but the orange chicken here is getting there! As for the Mongolian beef, the noodles tasted a lil plain by itself and the beef was kinda on the salty side. I love Pei Wei, I do. I always order the General Tso's chicken. But today at this location it was lacking. I'm not sure if it is this restaurant today or there has been a change of menu. I ordered take out. I drove to this location bc the one on 1960/ Elderidge is now closed. Let's start with that positives my host David was incredibly nice. I ordered the Mongolian been with fried rice. Well I wanted some greenery with my beef such as Bok Choy, ( no we no longer sell that), ok how about spinach ( nope no longer have that either), ok how about green beans ( no we only have snap peas). Ok fine, give me broccoli. I felt I settled I'm not getting what I want but ok fine, I really have a taste for Pei Wei. I go home settle in and my fried rice has a wet, slightly soggy gravies salty taste/ Texture. Ahhhhhh I'm deeply frustrated, hungry and disappointed. I'm a huge rice eater, I know my rice the rice is what makes part of the bowl. The Mongolian been was just ok, I had better. I don't think I'll be a repeat customer of Pei Wei at this point. Entirely disgusting. They also breaded the steak in stir fry, which is just weird. Go to any number of legitimate Asian restaurants in Cypress for better food.
