I paid 23 for padkee mao and it was terrible!! The noodles were so mushy and clumped together and when I chewed the noodles it was mushy and grainy, it was like eating raw dough!! I will never be coming here again.. Expensive low quality food like this.. read more

Note: this review is based on a to-go order of the crab fried rice. The food was prepared quickly. The staff were friendly. The fried rice was delicious. The restaurant seemed inviting. Did they change management? I've always loved the food here. Not today. Website said they delivered and when I called to place my order they said they don't deliver. Food was very underwhelming. Came here for my birthday celebration. Love that you can veganize the menu by paying extra $1, haven't seen that before anywhere. They don't have any lunch specials but we were more excited about thier vegan options. The spring rolls were a little bland but decent. Man, the vegetarian spicy basil fried rice was amazing! Finely chopped vegetables, just how I like them. Very tasty. Thai tea & the noodles were good too. Would like to try thier curries sometime. read more

I ordered from Nara before and thought it was pretty good but this last time I'm pretty shocked at what they charge and the portions they give. They charge 14 dollars for a curry that is about 1/2 the portion size of what I usually get at any other Thai restaurant. And for shrimp they charged me an extra 6 dollars and gave me 3 pieces of shrimp. I don't think I can ever order from this place again. It is a shame because the food tastes good but I can't justify paying 90 bucks for Thai food that is 1/2 portion sizes. read more

We ordered from the Cypress location and have been extremely loyal however the past two times have been awful. We ordered the Orange Chicken (over cooked and only 11 tiny pieces and dry) fried rice (over cooked dry chicken and no flavor) and Pad Thai ( dry and had a very strange flavor) on top of all of that the portions were extremely small compared to what they use to be. Not pictured is the tofu they originally made for us and I had to drive over 45 min round trip and wait 15 min for my food. Extremely horrible experience, didn't once ask if they could compensate and refund our money. After the past two experiences I doubt we will be back after going to this spot for years. read more

Five stars through Uber Eats delivery! We have ordered here multiple times and every time, it's been a hit. The food arrived still warm ~ so thanks Uber Eats. We always order Pad See Ew w/ chicken or beef, Orange Chicken w/ rice, crab puffs and sticky rice w/ custard. All the food that we ordered were flavorful and taste delish! We did pick spice level 3, it's the perfect amount of spice - spicy to have your nose running but still super edible! The sticky rice w/ custard - taste extremely fresh and not old rice. I've been to Nara Thai more than three times now. I have to say, I am super impressed with their food and prices. The pad Thai is amazing. The tamarind sauce is the perfect level of sweet. For heat level, I usually get 3 for the pad Thai. My other favorite dish is the spicy basil fried rice. Words can't describe how delicious it is. I would note, however, the fried rice heat level comes out about 1 level extra hotter on their heat scale. So maybe order a level down if you are afraid of the heat. read more

I ordered Togo and they got everything right which is a fresh start. I definitely want to get in and try some various menu items in person. Food: I ordered chicken and veggie Tom Kha. While the flavor was good and you won't be let down, it was a bit sweeter than majority of places I've eaten (over 50 lol). That being said, it was really good!! I just like a little better balance with lemongrass. People with a creamy sweat palette will go nuts. And those without won't be disappointed still, just maybe have the same thoughts. We still ate it all ;). As far as spice, I love Hot stuff but with Thai you better be careful because they just built different. That being said I got the medium spice and it was super tolerable, but spice for a normal person would be perfect and give some head sweats. Apps: We had the fried crab Rangoon style appetizer (apologies I think they called it something else). These were amazing with flavor and texture, only issue was that 2 of the pods literally were completely hollow lol. I was actually surprised how it held its shape so well with absolutely nothing inside of it. I'm sure it's a rare mistake, and I would definitely order them again. Then we ordered the spring rolls (not fried). These are pretty standard anywhere and really hard to screw up. Although I d had some places where they have sat out too long and the rice paper gets hard, these were perfect and freshly made so kudos on that! All said and done, good quality food I'm not a bit disappointed in overall, I would say it's a tiny bit pricier than other Thai spots in the area which is why I gave it a shot assuming perhaps there was justification for the slightly higher price. But I think it falls in line with most Thai places, nothing to drive an hour for, or for my experience and taste buds however. And I don't mean overpriced significantly just fyi. I just mean a couple dollars more per plate than average so I wouldn't judge trying it out based on that. I generally don't like leaving reviews for "Togo" food but with soups it's pretty straight across the board so I felt justified doing so. I will try this place again due to its close location, but next time will be in person. Togo was satisfying as well! read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND :) Great Pad see ew! :D One of my favorite dishes. Paired with chicken as the protein and a spice level of 2 is pretty damn good :) 8.9/10 I'm glad i came here to dine in, i have eaten their food a couple of times before through door dash , but this is the first time i went to the restaurant in person. Nice setting. I also had the thai dumplings, they were great, warming appetizer with no flavors overpowering each other. 8.5/10 The veggie spring rolls are a nice bite :) 8.8/10 Everything was a 9/10 :) A minuscule however was the desert i ordered, it wasn't bad or awful or anything of that nature it was just a bit underwhelming. 5/10 The fried banana with coconut ice cream. Ice cream was like almost freezer burnt? if that makes sense ? The fried bananas were nice , nothing against them! It just wasn't what i imagined. I still ate it all lol. But HEY! This Thai place did not disappoint. There is a casual atmosphere. The service was good, and the food was tasty. The menu is cute and has a couple of tips on it like to order yellow curry if you are new to Thai food and a spice chart. Crayons are also provided on the table to write on the paper table cover, which is a nice way to pass the time considering the food takes a few minutes to prepare. The Thai tea is super tasty, some of the best I have had. The crab angels were good as well. I liked their shape. The yellow curry was decent, but the potatoes had an odd taste to them. Overall it was a good visit, and I plan to come back at some point for more tea and crab angels. read more

Complaint Regarding Unacceptable Service and Employee Conduct…read more On Thursday, August 13, 2026, I visited your restaurant with six other family members to celebrate my grandson's birthday. As the first person in our party to arrive, I was seated immediately. Unfortunately, the waitress assigned to our table was neither friendly nor welcoming. When the rest of our party arrived, the waitress took our orders. Everyone except myself and the other grandmother ordered the "all-you-can-eat" option. We chose to order à la carte because we both had prior lunch engagements and did not intend to eat a large meal. Almost immediately, the waitress stated, "You cannot share plates with the other diners in your party who ordered all-you-can-eat." I was appalled by the assumption and asked her what made her think we intended to eat from anyone else's plates. Her comment was extremely insulting and made us feel as though she was accusing us of intending to take food for which we had not paid. Unfortunately, her attitude continued throughout the meal and created a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere during what was supposed to be a special family celebration. Despite the poor service, we paid our bill and still left a very generous tip. However, the situation became even more disturbing. As we were exiting the restaurant , my granddaughter realized that her iPod was missing. We immediately returned to our table and searched for it but could not locate it. My son-in-law then used the tracking feature on the device, which indicated that the iPod was still inside the restaurant. We approached the manager and explained the situation. The manager asked the waitress whether she had seen the iPod. To our surprise, she had the iPod in her possession and immediately returned it to us. Given the circumstances, I found this extremely troubling. Earlier in the evening, the waitress had expressed concern about the possibility of our sharing food that we had not paid for. Yet, by the end of the evening, she was in possession of my granddaughter's property without notifying us that she had found it or making any apparent effort to return it. Whether the iPod was intentionally withheld or simply found and not promptly reported, the circumstances were deeply concerning and left us feeling uncomfortable and distrustful. An employee should never leave a customer questioning the safety or security of their personal belongings. This experience completely overshadowed what should have been a joyful family celebration. Based on the treatment we received and the circumstances surrounding my granddaughter's missing iPod, I will not patronize this restaurant again. I am sharing this experience as a warning to other customers and strongly encourage management to review this incident, including the waitress's conduct and the handling of my granddaughter's property. Customers deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and confident that their belongings are safe while dining at your establishment.

I was in real luck as it was Happy Hour with some great discount prices on several of their appetizers, sushi and sashimi. I decided to try the soft shell crab appetizer and it came out so quickly. It was crispy and super fresh, perfectly paired with the wine I had ordered. I love Japanese restaurants like this, especially when they aren't supper busy. You can take your time, order a thing or two and peruse the menu and pick something else at your leisure. My next treat was one of their "signature appetizers" and it was great, what was described on the menu as a tuna and salmon martini! Wow, it tasted as good as it looked and not only had fresh sashimi slices of tuna and salmon but also meaty escolar. In the center was a creamy mix of wasabi, ginger topped with some tobiko, the small orange fish roe. Talk about a real culinary treat! Next up was a special house roll called the Pink Lover Roll which was a roll with chopped spicy salmon, tuna, yellow tail, tempura jalapeno and avocado with spicy mayo, eel sauce and honey wasabi. The portion was huge and really could have fed 2 people. I enjoyed it but found the sauces over the top a bit too much. It was spice but not too hot. Glad I tried it but would opt for something different next time and surely not as large! Last thing ordered was the Hibachi Combo Yakisoba dinner entree. Had it not been for the large previous roll I ate I would have devoured this as it was fresh off the hibachi grill and full of shrimp and beef as well as a lively assortment of crisp vegetables. It came with a pleasant miso soup, the perfect thing between courses. Alas, I ended up taking half of my yakisoba home for a future lunch. The restaurant is nicely decorated, very clean and sharp. You can sit at at table, booth or at the bar, I chose a table. Restrooms were clean and easy to find. In the end my lovely dinner was just under $100 plus a 20% tip for great service so not a place you might go to casually in regard to cost but still worth the trip as everything was fresh and well presented.

I had an amazing dining experience at Nara Thai Restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations. I ordered the Pad Thai Chicken, and it was simply outstanding! The chicken was perfectly tender, and the flavors were spot on - the balance of sweet, salty, and tangy was just right. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the generous toppings of peanuts and fresh lime took the dish to another level. It's definitely one of the best Pad Thai dishes in the Houston area.
