I remember the first time that I ate at Pei Wei's I thought, WOW! this is pretty good and more affordable option to PF Changs. Well, years late, I was wrong. While the food is not horrible, it isn't worth the price that is paid. Not sure if prices went up or if I was just confused but for PF Chang's to be the upper scale version of Pei Wei's, the prices are basically the same and the food quality at Pei Wei's is much lower. Honestly, if you have both restaurants close by, you are better off going to PF Chang's (although they have also fallen off a lot in my opinion). There are Chinese takeout restaurants better than this and cheaper than this. The last time that I ate here I order the Mandarin Kung Pao Chicken Dinner Select with a spring roll. I typically order the Honey Seared Shrimp but the time before this it was doused in sauce so sweet I couldn't really stand to eat it. Kung Pao is a typical dish at most Chinese restaurants so how bad could it really be? Well, although it was not overly sweet like the Honey Seared it was however, overly salty that again I couldn't really stand to eat it. So disappointing! The spring roll was fine but I would have rather that taste bad than my actual meal. My friend got the Sesame Chicken and an egg roll. He seemed fine with his but it was nothing to rave about. He would have rather gone someplace instead. I do want to like Pei Wei but the last two times I went weren't the only times I was left less than satisfied, so I have come to the conclusion that after many tries I am simply just not a fan. read more

This has been a favorite of mine for some time. But today I ordered my usual Pad Tai with beef. The portion size has shrunk and the dish was spicier than normal bit cleared out my sinuses when I didn't need them to be. The food came out quick but I was there before the lunch crowd. The accuracy of my order was incorrect. I was charged for water. I went back to the girl who rang up my order and she did not understand how to process a refund. As I am standing, while she is requesting guidance from one of the persons on cooking side my order is delivered. By the time she processes the order my basil leaves are all wilted, my lettuce wraps are cold. Worst yet no sauce was delivered with lettuce wraps. When I stopped one of the servers, he advised to bring some over, but it never arrived. Worst service ever from PEI Wei. I am a fan of Pei Wei for sure. Their food is consistent across all of their locations. The Weston location is definitely the one I frequent most even though it is one of the busiest and worst parking lots in snooty Weston. I love the honey seared chicken and their fried rice. I have had most everything on the menu and it's always good. I have to be careful as I am a big baby when it comes to hot/spicy! Some things are spicy here. I have to say that I tried the Thai Wonton Soup and that is FANTASTIC! Yum to the O!!! Wow, I really loved it. It's a good place to have a quick meal. They also have a gluten free menu. I used to like peiwei food and service, but my last visit left me a little disappointed , this is June 2021, while most restaurants are back to full service and stepping away of Covid style service , pie wei still is working at minimal indoor service, no real plates or silverware every meal is served to go with plastic utensils and minimal personnel. This is definitely our fast food place to go to. The prices are good. The kitchen is super clean and the food is fresh and comes out quickly. We even enjoy the sushi the crunch is an added benefit. I'm literally here at least once or twice a week and will always get the pad thai. It's reasonable prices and usually the original portion is so much I just take some home and have lunch for the next day (the pad thai tastes better as left overs!) Was in the mood for Asian today, and opted to try one of their appetizers along with a smaller portioned noodle bowl. Appetizer was the crunchy wasabi rolls (spicy tuna) and the meal was the small Dan Dan bowl with rice noodles. They kindly added snap peas at my request. The crunch wasabi rolls were good, and I wanted to try a different aioli (srirachi). Unfortunately it lacked the punch I was expecting. It was a very mild sauce. Fortunately the dollop of wasabi added a little extra kick. The Dan Dan bowl was excellent too, especially with the added snap peas & rice noodles (normally comes with egg noodles). I come here all the time to get take out on my way to work or to go home on a busy day. This evening, and the last time before my order was not as good as normal. This evening I placed an order and was told 10-15 mins. Ok cool, I sit, I wait and at least 5 people got their orders before me. I watched my order sit on the counter just getting cold hoping it was someone else's. Sure enough it was mine. I noticed the staff was distracted, shift ending and text messages. I get it, I really do. I do not like to be that person to be like hey, make my order again but I should have. My order was cold and my extra ordered sauce was minimal. After a long day, which I believe the staff will experience themselves in the future, you really want a good meal done right. I was so disappointed with the Pei Wei in Pines that I took it to their Facebook page and expressed my disappointment in their food and quality of service. Surprisingly, they contacted me and vowed that they will change and regain my trust and reputation back. They sent (3) $10 gift cards and put it on them. So today, I decided to go get some Mongolian steak for dinner. I ordered online for a pick up and it was ready when I got there. Okay, good start! The hostess that greeted me was very well mannered with a warm welcome. She took the orders out from the bag and made sure that the order was correct, good job! Finally, the moment of truth... took my first bite of the Mongolian steak... now this is how it's done! The beef wasn't too overly cooked. It was a little bit tender and chewy. The sauce was slightly salty but more of a sweet at the time and that's how it suppose to be. Scallions and mushrooms was meager which is my only complain. Overall, I was very happy with the taste. The brown rice was done right, nothing special there. I didn't dine in so I'm not sure how the dining experience was but it did look like a packed house on a Friday night. This Pei Wei Weston location is clean. The people here are nice and kind. We ordered the crab wontons, thai basil chicken with fried rice and the lemongrass chicken salad. I do not recommend the lemongrass chicken salad because it barely had any lemongrass taste. I love the crab wontons because it really does have crab meat in it and the cream cheese is not overwhelming like the ones at the Chinese restaurants. I definitely enjoy the thai basil chicken and will get it again. This is a must go. read more

So disappointed. I recently tried the cauliflower rice at the Pembroke Pines location. It was delicious! So naturally I ordered it when I came to the Weston location. They basically gave me riced cauliflower that was still raw. I went to the counter to ask if it had been cooked and they looked at me like I had 2 heads. On top of that, the mongolian beef was also disappointing, and partly cold. I had the same meal at another location and was really happy with it, this was just awful (and not cheap). I often find myself standing around simply waiting to pay because the staff can't properly prioritize customers who are picking up their food or dining in. It's Pei Wei, what do you expect? The air conditioning is on full tilt, and the food is tasty. It's a chain restaurant, so there's a practical limit to judging an establishment that is unable to change to meet the needs of its customers. I would just say that I have eaten at other Pei Wei locations around the U.S., and this particular location just is not very friendly. Should've stuck with what I always get!! I got an extremely salty plate, with plain brown rice. I am glad that I didn't opt for the fried rice or added extra soy sauce, as it would've been unbearable to eat. Otherwise, the service is always great and fast here, so it's perfect for that quick lunch escape from work! I hope that this does not occur again, as I really love this place. 3.75 strong, Not a 3 star yucky venue, however a few things that bring this location down They do take a while if you call in the order. Also they have botched the order a couple of times, no problem people make mistakes. I think if management stepped up a little and kept the dining area clean, orders quicker, and more accurate. Also could just be me, but I think employees ...especially in a food restaurant should all be wearing shirts that have some sort of identifiable logo on it, same color.
