Outstanding service and delicious appetizers & sushi. This was my first visit to the restaurant, but not my last. Everything on the menu looked good, so I would love to return to try more dishes. My friend and I went for lunch and started with the Pork Belly Bao and Scallop appetizers. So good! We then shared a ceviche and a tuna roll. The flavors in the ceviche were amazing. Super fresh and creative sushi.

Truly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Weston. The food matches the decor. It's adventurous. It's beautifully presented. Our server was attentive and spot on. We enjoyed the entire experience.

There's no confusion Katana Nikkei is the best Asian Fusion in Weston! This place serves fine Nikkei cuisine where the chef combines Japanese culinary precision and bold Peruvian flavors all in one. The quality and presentation here are second to none. Plus diners will be impressed by the gorgeous ambiance. Perfect for a romantic date, celebration or a night out with your loved ones. At Katana, you'll be treated with quality ingredients, amazing presentation and gorgeous ambiance while indulging in the finest Japanese and Peruvian Cuisine. Start with their ceviches and scallops, then share some boas and tiraditos, and for the main course I highly recommend the duck or the lomo saltado. You can't go wrong with any of items on the menu. Everything is simply marvelous! Amazing -- The food, the service, and the beautifully decorated place. We came without a reservation and they sat us down quickly. The service was awesome, Ernesto treated us really well. It's such a beautiful place; my youngest daughter kept on saying Wow as she looked around the restaurant. We started with the tuna tartar and edamame. The tuna tartar was divine and the girls loved the edamame. The edamame was charred and had a delicious Smokey taste. The girls shared the udon noddles with chicken and it was delicious. We had the shrimp bao buns -- the honey glaze was perfectly sweet and tangy. The tuna roll was so nice and refreshing. Ernesto poured this yellow sauce over it and it was just great. The Misti roll was really good too just a little heavier, naturally. We were blown away with this place. Cannot wait to come again.

Ok so I wanted sushi for early dinner. How did I not know I was in the same city as this gem? I live in Weston and come into this plaza all the time. This is a casual restaurant featuring Japanese and Peruvian fusion staples. This place kind of reminds me of Naori off of Sunrise and University, but definitely gives off a more artistic vibe. So let me tell you what I got. What I Ordered ____________________ Asia Roll: 10/10 This roll is made with salmon tartar, avocado, some type of smoked or seared salmon, quinoa pop, and eel sauce. There are so many amazing flavors going on it is truly remarkable. If you do not like seafood do not get this but if you are a seafood lover definitely get this. Definitely top 10 best sushi rolls i've ever had & Ive had plenty trust me. Listen if you want a roll that has a burst of various flavors compacted into one roll this is the one for you. Trust me you will not be disappointed. Dragon Roll: 9.2/10 Shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado, eel sauce, spicy mayo, crunchy tempura bits This was a solid roll. Pretty basic roll, but it definitely did what it needed to do in order to speak to me. I also got sides of eel sauce, spicy mayo, soy sauce, and some other surprise sauce. Dipping the dragon roll in the spicy mayo definitely gives this rolls an added boost of flavor. This was really nice and simplistic. Definitely for the people who love simple rolls. Customer Service: 10/10 The staff was so accommodating! Even though I placed a take out order over the phone, the lady over the phone gave me great recommendations. I still chose the most popular sushi rolls through yelp in order to make my selections! Overall the staff was great from over the phone to pick up through and through! Overall Experience: 10/10 Will I Return? : YES! I have to return to retry the Asia, Dragon, along with Olenka or Tropical rolll and the Acevichado roll for sure. I will also come back to try the Chicken Fried Rice and Grilled Octopus. You're Welcome! This establishment has been Tamied ™

A great spot for Peruvian/Japanese experience in Weston! This spot is the perfect date night or spot to have a fancy-feeling lunch. Came here for lunch with my partner and the food did not disappoint. Parking is easy with a lot with ample spaces. The interior is beautiful and spacious with a lot of seating. Our server, Diego, really made this experience! He was super attentive and helped with any and all questions that we had. During our visit, we got the lomo saltado, acevichado roll, and the shrimp pops. Everything tasted great! I would come back just for the roll and am also wanting to try more of their rolls here. Overall, a great spot if you're craving some Peruvian Japanese fusion cuisine in Weston.

I love it when a new spot opens up in Weston with good vibes and good food because honestly I feel like the 305 takes all the vibes and I need some local spots to frequent. Everything we tried we loved and our server was awesome. Good food coupled with good friends, good service and a beautiful restaurant interior is a win. Looking forward to visiting often and developing some favorite dishes I can write about in the future.

Bumped into this little gem while running errands today with my husband. We had heard about this place from some friends who came and had a great experience. So we decided to give it a try. Right away we were welcome by a friendly staff member that was station at the front entrance. She asked if we had a preference for seating which I thought was very nice of her. We didn't so she picked a lovely spot near a window for us. Our server was Sebastian quickly came over and introduced himself. He asked if it was our first visit and when we said yes, he went on to make some recommendations on the menu which we appreciated. So far we have had the sangria and some pork gyozas. Both very good. Literally waiting for our entrees to update our review but so far so good! Stay tuned!

From the second we stepped in, we were greeted warmly by the lovely atmosphere. Everything about this restaurant is amazing the decorations, service, and food. Excellent mix between Peruvian and Japanese! Definitely check it out if you are in the area!

He told me my only option at the time of my reservation was to sit outside in the heat and humidity. He was also rude and dismissive. There are better places to go. Additionally based on owner (Daniel) reply: I assure you the words "5-10 minutes" never were spoken by your host. But I appreciate the attempt to make me look unreasonable. The host's implication was there was a wait and he couldn't be sure how long. And his body language was pretty dismissive. Your portrayal is inaccurate. In addition, your reservation system offers no option of indoor vs outdoor seating. 99% of your patrons were eating inside because it was drizzling, hot, and humid. If you had offered outside only at the time I made the reservation I would not have made the reservation. Maybe look into adding that option instead of surprising guests. Folks, try Kaeru Sushi & Grill in West Pines. They are a fantastic sushi spot and always respect reservations.

When I arrived, I found the place to be charming in size and decor and had a hard time deciding what to order from their dedicated vegan menu (not just a section as I thought). So many choices! My friend and I started with a seaweed salad which was delicious and a nice sized portion. Then I ordered the Vegan Sushi Pizza which was fantastic! So flavorful and filling. I also ordered a Ariana roll but I took that home intentionally and will have it for lunch tomorrow (so can't review it yet!). Ivan was a great waiter and attentive to all our questions and gave great recommendations. Will DEFINITELY be returning (soon) to try more items!

-- I would actually rate this as 3.5 stars overall. --…read more I've lived nearby for quite a while and didn't even know this place existed. It's tucked in the shopping center next to Publix and across from a school. It's in no way obvious from the street, and even the sign is obscured. The restaurant is kind of plain inside. Nothing about it stood out as being great. And they weren't too busy on a weekday at lunch time; that could be good or bad, I'm not sure. I think it's owned by a Venezuelan family, but it's definitely Japanese in its menu. And they have a whole vegan menu! That's pretty awesome. The waiter was very nice and fairly accommodating as we asked for a few things. We opted to go for the vegan menu, and because we were a party of 5, we took the 2 appetizer & 5 entrees option on the menu. The thing about it is that the entrees were all interesting and unique in some ways. They weren't regular sushi with some substitutions. They really made an effort. For the appetizers, we took the gyoza and the bao buns. The gyoza (5 in a serving) were very tasty and the bao buns were good but there were two to share with 5 people. We all got a taste but it was a little odd. It came with maple mustard, which was a great accompaniment, even with the other dishes. For the entrees, the standout was the ceviche. It was a clever use of fruits and vegetables in lime juice that certainly mimicked its fish counterpart. The "pizza" was interesting as they made use of the rice as a crispy base. The other three rolls we got had some nice textures and flavors, so we were happy with them. The reason I rounded down on the stars were two things: the atmosphere and the overall price point, which was a little bit on the high side for what you get. Otherwise, it was a good experience, and I would encourage anyone to check it out. Try the vegan menu, it's unique and pretty good.

The decor is minimal, but nice. Service was friendly but with the restaurant being new to Weston it would have been nice to be told a little bit about the concept & maybe have some recommendations. While we were there, there was one other table & a to go order. We ordered spicy edamame to start. The presentation was pretty and the flavor was very good. My daughter had the miso soup. It had a nice amount of tofu, but she said it was a little saltier than she was used to, but she really enjoyed it. We shared the cream cheese roll (a little sweet and loved the texture of the nuts on top), the New York (standard salmon avocado & cream cheese) and the tiger roll (it had an interesting flavor due to the Tigre milk). The rolls each had unique flavors and we had plenty for my daughter to take home for next day's lunch. My husband had a noodle dish with chicken. He said the vegetables were cooked perfect and the bowl was filled with veggies and chicken. Most places you have to search for the veggies & protein, so my husband truly enjoyed it. They appear to have a bar, but sodas are served in cans and their was only pellagrino for soda water...so refills for drinks other than plain water incur additional charges. We ended with dessert. The 3 of us shared the chocolate ganache - which was basically a brownie sundae with a side of chocolate sauce. The brownie was good. It wasn't crazy sweet and we really enjoyed it. We enjoyed our food & look forward to trying some other menu items.

For a ramen restaurant, I expected the ramen to be better; it didn't quite hit the mark. However, the volcano roll was phenomenal--highly recommend it! The bao buns were solid as well, making up for some of the shortcomings. The service was quick, likely because the restaurant wasn't busy, which was a plus. With some improved marketing and a few updates to the decor, I think this spot could attract a much larger crowd. I would definitely go back and try some different items from the menu.
