Good value for fast fresh. The food is made to order in an open kitchen so one can watch it being prepared if desired. The counterperson was very nice and sensitive to the egg allergy issue. They even spoke up the cook so the grill was clean prior to cooking our meal to help avoid cross contamination. The wait time varies depending on the number of orders ahead of one. Unfortunately, the appetizers such as edamame do not arrive prior to the main meal so one is unable start satisfying the hunger in advance, and the main meal may cool if one wishes to eat the apps first instead of at the same time. The chicken pad Thai has a little kick to it, which we enjoyed. The peanuts provide a nice texture. Dicing the onions would improve the dish; the onion stems were cut into 2-3 pieces making them way too large to eat whole. The provided butter knives were not sharp enough to cut the onions. The dish would have benefited from more sprouts in both taste and texture; today's pad Thai had very few. Past dishes have been more generous with the sprouts. The ambiance is casual and typical of the chain and other similar fast food places. There is an outdoor seating area which is dog friendly. The outdoor area is right off 19 so there is noise from traffic. Since it's hot and we didn't have a pet with us, we opted for inside seating and the delightfully cool air. read more

My husband and I visit Pei Wei regularly--it's literally right across the street from our house, and at this point the manager even recognizes us (which probably says how often we're here ). The Vibe: This location is consistently clean, well-kept, and comfortable, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. We were able to find a great table with no issues. Service: This visit had a small hiccup. We tried to use a reward for one of our entrees, and the girl at the counter (who seemed new) needed to ask for help to process it. No big deal, but it did slow things down a bit. When our food was brought out, the runner asked for our table number--which we didn't have. Turns out the cashier had forgotten to give us one, so the runner had to go back to the counter to check our order and confirm it was ours before bringing it back. A little disorganized, but everyone was trying their best. The Food: The food was delicious as always--fresh, hot, and consistent. I ordered the firecracker chicken with noodles, and my husband ordered the honey chicken with noodles. Their house-made hot sauce is to die for and always takes the meal to the next level. Reliable, flavorful, and hits the spot every time. Overall: Even with a couple of minor service hiccups, this is still our go-to Pei Wei. I first wanted to make this a four star review as the restaurant was a bit disorganized and the restrooms were unclean but after one of the employees checked in with us and asked if everything was OK as they were vigorously, cleaning the restaurant and restrooms. So peiwei was our go to at Tampa airport. Since moving to the Orlando area ordering is hit or miss. We've ordered at least 4 times. Our 5th and last order was orange Chicken and noodles, beef and broccoli, pork egg rolls. Egg rolls were good. Orange chicken with noodles were tasteless. Absolutely no flavor. Recently my wife and I decided to go to the Winter Garden Village, and have some dinner to go, at Pei Wei. We haven't eaten here for a long time, and we were excited. Upon arrival the first thing we noticed, was that the menu had changed a lot since our last meal here. We looked at the big menu board that's right in the entrance. Once we were ready to order, we went to the counter. For our meal we decided on splitting the feast for 3 (3 regular size Entrées with white or brown rice, 8 Crab Wontons, 8 Chicken Dumplings, or 1 order of Signature Lettuce Wraps, 6 scratch-made Thai Donuts) For our entrees we chose Orange Chicken(Crispy chicken, sriracha orange sauce, orange slices),Beef and Broccoli(wok seared steak, garlic, ginger, scallions, broccoli, sweet soy sauce), Mongolian Steak( wok seared steak, garlic, scallions, mushrooms, sweet soy sauce) The cashier told us it would be a few minutes, so we sat a the bench. The restaurant itself is large, patrons can see right into the kitchen, plenty of seating. I loved everything... truly everything ordered was absolutely delicious. The Orange chicken was moist, tangy and crisp. The Beef & broccoli was perfectly made. The garlic and scallions weren't over powering, the beef was succulent. The Mongolian steak had a nice sear and the mushrooms was a great component. The chicken dumplings had great flavor, it was a triumph. The crab wontons had a nice crunch, wasn't over stuffed with the crab. Delicious. I was too full for the Thai donuts, but my wife love them! This restaurant is a hidden gem! It is a bit tricky to get to but WOW it is worth it! My wife and I like spicey chicken. This place has the best spicey chicken we have EVER had! I love a great spicy dish, but definitely be aware of the level as it could be way too much for those sensitive to spice. My mother ordered her staple, the chicken lettuce wraps. Perfect temperature, great flavor, and enough to make 2 meals for her. I like the self service area and the supply of take home containers for leftovers. At our latest visit every table was dirty and during the whole time we were there (over an hour) not one employee cleaned a table or anything in the dining room. We ordered the Firecracker Chicken with fried rice. It was brought to us with White Rice. Then I ordered the Vegetable Lo Mein with extra mushrooms. When I received it there were barely any mushrooms. I mentioned that I ordered extra mushrooms and the response was "this doesn't come with mushrooms so you got some mushrooms which is extra". The menu clearly states that mushrooms are an ingredient in the lo mein and I was charged for extra. So not sure where the confusion was. Food is usually great but the service, not so much. Why even offer curbside pickup when we still have to go in and pick up since our pick up texts go ignored. This isn't the 1st time it's happened either. This time when I arrived I saw a young man bringing food to the car in the spot next to mine. He dropped off the food, removed his mask, but his lime green vape a couple times then went back inside. Meanwhile, I was texting my name and pickup spot number. 10 minutes later, nothing. I texted again. 5 minutes later I went inside, same young man was crouched behind the counter on his cell phone.
