    Such a friendly staff
    MaDonna W.

We actually were looking to head to a more beachy seen on Fourth of July... We couldn't find anything open past 2 o'clock ... I am so glad we called Peking Dragon. Not only was the food so delicious. We brought a bottle of our wine and were not charged a corkage fee. The service was outstanding. Everything was presented with a smile. They gave us a little sip of lychee juice right as we sat down, and then for dessert, they gave us each a lychee fruit which was so refreshing and so unexpected.... I would say out of everything, the potstickers, and the ribs were the most satisfying and delicious and flavorful. We also had the king pau chicken, coconut shrimp with candied, walnuts, broccoli beef .. all very tasty... This restaurant is open seven days a week ... great location plenty of parking.. and again just the friendliest staff ever...

Authentic and homemade food. Food is really good. It's fresh and filling. Service is good. Nice servers. Restaurant is clean and spacious. Nice atmosphere and ambiance. I would come back here.

At home these are not the usually amazing Peking Dragon Egg rolls

Let me first start by saying, like so many other customers we have been coming to Peking Dragon for over 20 years. I usually rave about it, as it's the closest thing to East Coast Chinese food as you'll get. Again, like everyone else, we loved Shane. He made the experience. But pass that it was the food that really kept us coming back. The new management staff is nice, but they are changing too many things. I had two of my favorite dishes now change. The interesting part was I was told that I was wrong on one of them. They change their Peking duck, from the soft Lotus buns to now , the classic Moo shu wraps. The flavor is still good, but you lose the tradition of the lotus buns, that make for an amazing Peking duck dish. We came in last night, our waiter last night was amazing as usual, we had my grandson with us for one of his first trips out to dinner ever, he seven months old. Jimmy absolutely entertained him the whole night again the food was very good. My other favorite are the four eggrolls at Peking dragon. The pictures are all over yelp. They are the classic East Coast eggrolls. I ordered an order to go, so did not see the eggrolls until I got home for lunch this afternoon. I was very disappointed to find that they are now the standard spring roll type. That is all the flat outside wonton wrap like most low end Chinese restaurants have. They changed yet another menu item for the worst. To the new owners, you purchased a great restaurant, there was never anything that needed to be changed at that restaurant. It is your business and you're right to change anything you'd like. But what's gonna start happening? Is you're going to change customers opinions of Chinese restaurant in Orange County.

    Hot n sour soup

Came to PK for lunch as it was on my list for sometime to visit while staying in Dana Point. It is difficult to find really good Chinese in the area with the exception of Asian Kitchen in Laguna Niguel. Ordered the Mandarin prawns with fried rice with a hot sour soup and side of fried chicken to start. I was served a fried chicken neck bone and a strange thigh bone. The prawns (tasteless) were heavily breaded and deep fried before a spicy sweet sauce is put on top. The sauce wasn't bad, but it wasn't spicy either as I requested. The pot of hot jasmine tea was good and would definitely recommend. Not sure I'd come back.

Some of my favorites have been every dumpling, egg rolls, the scallops, the filet mignon chow fun, and the pork fried rice. Meat is always tender. The Eggplant tasted like they had emptied an entire salt shaker into it and was inedible. Our server, for lack of a better word, Isabel, was extremely rude and inattentive the entire time. Isabel thought it would be a good idea to focus on the other tables while basically ignoring ours. The worst part was at the end of the meal after I had requested she take the charge off the bill for the horrible food. Isabel begrudgingly agreed to take it off with not as much as any type of apology. It then took her probably 10 minutes to return after gleefully chatting with other tables and walking by us maybe 4-5 times without making eye contact. Once Isabel produced her handheld POS terminal and asked me how I would be paying, I called her out on the lack of courtesy and basic manners. I asked her if she'd be apologizing for the lousy food and she literally said "No, it's not my fault." All the time she had this maniacal grin on her face that was not only out of place but a little on the psychotic side. Isabel kept glaring at me every time she walked by as if to say I don't owe you a thing and there's nothing you can do about it. After speaking with the manager (Shu) I understand how Isabel has this attitude. He was oblivious to the lack of decency and common sense displayed. He just kept repeating the fact that they had removed it from the bill without the least bit of remorse. All this time I was speaking with Shu, Isabel kept walking around with this crazed grin on her face to hear what we were discussing. I've honestly never experienced any server like her in my entire life. The best Shu could do was to tell me the next time I came in they'd seat me with another server. The next time? This speaks to the oblivious nature of the employees at China Moon. He actually thought that after that, I would be returning. Isabel was the weirdest server I've literally ever had in my life and it was clear at the end that Shu didn't have a clue about customer service or the dining experience. I would avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy being treated like garbage by people that don't have any clue what service is.

It is refreshing to find a place that offers healthy, MSG-free options without sacrificing taste. We tried the chicken curry, which was rich and comforting with just a hint of spice, making it a great choice for anyone who prefers milder flavors. The steak fries were perfectly cooked and crispy, and the tofu salad was light, fresh, and packed with flavor. Adding shrimp to the salad was a great choice and complemented the dish perfectly. (Photos included of each dish.) What really stood out was the attention to detail in both the food and service. Every dish tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and the portions were generous. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly, creating a great dining experience from start to finish.
