There is new owner is Indian. They have begun a small Indian menu that is appearing to be well received according to my community Facebook page. It's nothing fancy, but it scratches my Indian food itch! I tried the Butter Chicken - I will be getting this again! The rice was light and fluffy, but the naan was a bit dry. Okay so this place was always a little sketchy, but the food was always good. I dare say their dumplings were honestly the best I ever had. I know they were home made because I walked in there one day when they were making them. An era has come to an end my friends, new management and staff just served us the most disgusting box of crap I think I have ever seen. These are the "new" dumplings (see photo) and the are uneatable. Dog didn't even want them and she eats her own poop. This place is a lost cause, run away. read more

Since the change over to the new ownership there is a great difference in the kitchen and the quality of food I just got an order of sesame chicken from there and came home when I ordered it I asked for extra sauce there was none additionally I'm noticing the effects of hot peppers in my mouth which I am allergic to says me chicken should not have hot peppers in it when I called them the guy just didn't seem to be coherent and what I was trying to say and all he had to say was oh sorry To which my response was not as sorry as I am since I'm allergic to them we'll not be going back there again read more

This used to be our "go to" place when we didn't want to cook. The all-Chinese staff wasn't always the friendliest but the food was good. Discovered the management and cooks had all changed recently. Now the completely non-Chinese staff is friendly, but the food sucks. I am someone who is very easy to please when it comes to food. The first time I chalked it up to everyone being new. But last night...eck. Will go elsewhere next time we want Chinese. Very sad especially since there are not a lot of Chinese Restaurants around. read more

This place is poppin'! People were coming in non-stop. Got the cream cheese wonton and the fried rice with shrimp in lobster sauce. Everything was delicious but I think I should have gone with red meat with my fried rice. Probably would have been a better option. Staff was fast and courteous and they also serve liquor. A straight-up hole-in-the-wall where all the locals go (we call it The Octagon, after the shape of the building). The fried chicken is questionable, the place is a mess, but it is undoubtedly the best Chinese food in Calvert County (though admittedly that may not be saying much). If judged as a restaurant it's bad, since there's only one table (is really for waiting for carryout), it's often busy and cramped, and the staff is inconsistent on friendliness. But if judged on food, it's definitely four stars, at least by twin beaches standards. read more

This place is the definition of awful... a Chinese food place and liquor store. It doesn't take long to figure out why this place has been shut down and had their liquor license revoked many times. To start, when I called to place my order they were out of nearly half the items on their menu, so the selection I was able to choose from was very limited. Once I got there about 25 minutes later it still wasn't ready, even though they didn't seem to be busy.. ok fine, annoying but I can deal with that. But unfortunately that meant I had to stand around the cramped little store area with boxes upon boxes of merchandise taking up what little floor space there was to begin with. They even had milk sitting in boxes outside the cooler, and it was hot to the touch -- not just warm, crates of HOT milk, heated from the nearby kitchen and had very likely gone bad that they were planning to sell to customers. That should've been a huge red flag right there if they don't take good care of their products. But against my better judgement I stayed and waited for my food, which I would quickly come to regret later. I finally got my food and went home, but between the 3 of us that were eating we couldn't figure out whose food was whose -- they all looked and tasted exactly the same, even though we all ordered completely different dishes. I don't know if they just made the same thing 3 times and called it a day or what happened, but it was extremely disappointing. The dumplings we ordered were also obviously taken out of the freezer instead of freshly made, since some were freezer burnt and still cold in the center. And to top it off, later that night we were all sick. If you're in the beach area and want Chinese food, do yourself a huge favor and go to Little Panda instead -- much better food that's freshly made, friendlier staff, cleaner building. Since I have to give this place some kind of rating it gets 1 star, though it deserves far less. STAY AWAY FROM PEKING!! read more

This is the best Chinese take out we've found in the area. We will be back, but it is nothing to write home about. Portions are huge, vegetables are few. The dumplings were really good and reminded us of home made dumplings. They just needed a bit more vegetable matter in them to be perfect. Regardless, I recommend the steamed dumplings. The General Tso was pretty good. We ordered it extra spicy, and it could have used a lot more heat. The orange chicken (also ordered with extra spice) tasted just like the General Tso. Since it tasted pretty good, though, we aren't really complaining. The staff is friendly but busy. That's a good thing. The location is interesting, to say the least. I will say that in the 15 minutes we were there, we saw 5 people enter, and none of them were for the liquor store. We didn't try them, but the egg rolls look like burritos. They are huge! read more

Walking in you can see the liquor store section was a bit cramped, but they had a pretty good selection to choose from at fair prices. I wasn't too impressed with the taste of their food. I got the lemon chicken and it is the exact same as the sweet and sour chicken that's like chicken nuggets with a tub of sauce but as odd as that sounds is really good. The egg rolls are always the bomb! The only thing that I was unhappy with is that for the second time in a row, they did not include my fortune cookie. I know to some that may seem small but i was just really expecting that dang cookie. Also, the staff is never very friendly and slightly aggressive sometimes. A cramped little half chinese takeout/half liquor store, this should be interesting. I'm not sure that 2 people could even pass by each other in the aisles here without doing that press against each other, spin around move, whatever it's called, but it gives the place more room to stock our favorite beverages. The prices are good and the selection isn't bad at all for the size of the store. They carry a pretty wide range of stuff from your plastic jugs of swill and malts to decent macrobrews and stuff that won't leave you swearing to never drink again. This place was a welcome addition when I was helping fix up a house in the area, a few egg rolls and a 6 pack of beer made the work that much more tolerable. I was very anxious to try this place, because I have driven past it since I moved to the area a few months ago. I ordered the Kun Pao chicken with lo mein which was prepared oddly fast 10 mins to be exact. I took it home, and enjoyed it. It tasted good until I woke up and vomited all night long, and my stomach still hurts over 48 hrs after I consumed the food. Also, it appears that these people live in their restaurant, and store food with their beer and liquor. I'm new to MD, but this place needs to be inspected by the Health Department! Quite possibly the best general tso chicken ever! Chinese and beer perfect combo. Fried rice had a dark tinge smokey look as if it was right off the grill. I've had a lot of generals chicken in my time and this place was different as the skin and texture of the chicken was not so thick and the sweet glaze was more subtle in flavor.Hole in the wall place sorry to hear complaints of people getting sick... This is simple, cheap Chinese takeout, so just know what to expect before you go! The staff are actually very friendly if you take time to understand them. (I live close by and am a frequent customer, so have dealt with them a lot!). The food is not spicy enough for me, but I found out they have little containers of chili oil on request. I also think they over sauce the food sometimes-- you can request a dish steamed instead! The best values are the soups, egg rolls and box lunches. Good value! read more

The food area workers are rude as hell! They rush you when you call in your order and then when you ask for certain stuff they tell you NO as if your not going to pay extra for it. Look everyone so far has judged this place on the cramped area, they're making the best with what they have. It's not a sit down place it's a take out place. I got hot-sour soup and chicken lo mein. The lo mein was okay albeit a little oily, but the hot-sour soup was not good--maybe one of the worst I've ever had. Even though this is half restaurant/carry out and half liquor store, the food is great! I love the hot and sour soup! This restaurant is a far safer and better option than Little Panda.
