Food: The freshest, freshly-made, flavorful 'without' any of the typical greasy-layer that lingers on the tongue. Familiar flavor, but fresh! My dad had never tried pot stickers (delicious dipping sauce), after today, he's a fan! The beef in the broccoli-beef was super tender. Because the dishes didn't have that 'heaviness' to it, we were able to enjoy more than usual. Next time I'm in town, I will be stopping by for another meal. read more

My friend treated me to lunch on Thursday and because the restaurant we had planned to eat at was closed, we decided to try this restaurant. BIG mistake!! We both started with an eggroll and a cup of hot and sour soup which were both very good. I was excited to start on the Szechuan Pork but my first bite was horrible (thought I had a mouthful of fat). I wanted to give the pork another try, so I ate another bite. I could not believe how bad it tasted. (I am a pork lover and like it anyway it is prepared). I could not eat it, sent it back and ordered the Mongolian Beef. Again, a really bad choice! I also love this particular dish having eaten it at many different restaurants but never prepared without Hoisin sauce and lots of green onions. Not at this place! It was a huge disappointment. First time here with living close by for two years. we really enjoyed our food: chefs chicken (best), sechzwan pork, one egg roll each of veggie and shrimp. the sweet sour soup was awsome. this was during lunch. very nice and attentive waitress. ambiance was descent. i didn't know what to think about a note on the bottom of the bill which read 3% charge for credit cards.... no charge from debit. so the tip went from 20 to 17 %. will go back but pay cash. read more

Came here with a large party for a birthday. They seated us in a room meant for larger parties and handed out the menus. The service was probably the best part of the dinner. They were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately the food didn't match the service. Our table ordered a number of dishes. Mongolian Beef, Orange Chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, Pineapple Beef, and the lettuce wraps. The Orange Chicken & Sweet and Sour pork were the best dishes overall. The remaining were not good. The dishes lacked flavor and were over cooked. I wouldn't recommend any of those dishes to anyone. Sadly, I would chose Panda Express over this place every time. read more

I have been coming here since the restaurant opened. Sadly, I don't think I will be back. I have no problem paying extra to support local businesses but unfortunately Peking Wok's dramatic price increase has been paired with a horrible decrease in service and a dramatic decline in food quality. This afternoon I ordered a to go order that was nothing short of a complete waste of money. Not only was the staff incredibly rude, but also the food, for which I waited over an hour, was inedible. 55 minutes after placing an online order and paying in advance, I asked the young woman at the front desk to please check on my order and she rolled her eyes and told me that they would text me when it was ready. I had been sitting there for nearly a half hour (after driving 20 min). When I returned home (20 min from the restaurant) after finally getting my food, I got a text saying they forgot the moo shu wrappers and that I "could come back and get them". Keep in mind it was now nearly 90 min since I placed the order and to go there and back would require another 40 min round trip and my food would have been completely cold. I asked them to refund that portion of the order (I seriously doubt I will ever see a refund). I had ordered two dishes and the total was about $65! I just decided to eat the moo shu sans the wrappers. Well, so much for that compromise. The moo shu was so salty that it was like sticking a fork full of salt into my mouth. I moved onto my favorite dish, the one I paid $31 for, Walnut Shrimp. It too was inedible because of the amount of salt- seriously it was like someone dropped the entire salt shaker into the dish. I had gotten a side order of wonton soup- tried that - nothing more than salt water. 90 Minutes (at 4 pm on a Sunday), $65, and I ended up with an incomplete order and food that was completely inedible and tasted like a salt lick. I really want to support local businesses during these difficult times but significant price increases plus rude employees and completely inedible food makes that really difficult. I would be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on the salt and the wait, but the awfully rude employee at the front who couldn't be bothered to actually check on my order an hour in just was the clincher for me. I am sad to see this one off of the list. read more

My fiancée and I are still exploring the area around Fallbrook ever since we moved here and figured we'd stop by this place to give it a go. We called-in ahead with reservations, being that it was a Friday evening, and that was a very smart move. The place was packed! This told me that it must be a popular spot for the locals and being in a prime location, we felt it safe in the shopping pavilion right next to the Sheriffs office. Parking was a bit tricky, but as I said, the area is safe :) Upon entering, we were greeted by smiles, an aquarium and live jazz music. That just sealed the deal! The decor was a nice mix of traditional Chinese culture and a hint of contemporary-modern touch. Our appetizers came promptly and the wine/martini selection was diverse and divine. The final test was the food, which did not fail! I completely loved the lemon chicken and it was prepared perfectly! I've finally found a place that cooks it how I like it!! Yes, this place did NOT disappoint and my only recommendation is to make sure to call-head with reservations to avoid waiting. Amazing Chinese!!! read more

This is the first place my wife and I visited for take out since the lockdown began. Now that the restrictions have been lessened we were anxious to go to one of our favorite restaurants. In San Diego County you are still absolutely required to wear a face mask. So, I arrive. Stand in line at the proper distance, the person ahead of me, myself, the employees, the owner.. everyone.. is wearing masks. Then, an older woman comes in, gets in line behind me.. all good.. when I pay and step aside to wait for my order.. she steps up to the counter . The owner is standing right there.. and she has no mask. He should have told her to leave right then. He said nothing. I write this for one reason only.. if you are trying to take this virus thing seriously, you might want to take notice of this. I love this place, but personally, I want restaurants to do what they are supposed to do to keep us safe. read more

I recently hosted the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding here. The food was delicious. The service was really excellent. They have a cocktail bar and it's very pretty. I think this was a good choice for the rehearsal dinner. They also have a separate room that seats at least 14 people, so that made it a little more intimate. read more

Randomly came across this restaurant, was pleasantly surprised! Restaurant is extremely clean, restrooms sparkling, staff extremely friendly! The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD! So fresh, great flavors and huge portions! I would recommend the garlic chicken! I've never even heard of this small town, let along a Chinese restaurant in it! It took us more than an hour to arrive from Irvine on a Thursday evening! But let me tell you the food there was well prepared, beautifully presented, and tasted just wonderful! As a Chinese guy, trust me when I say it's good Chinese food! A very long time ago this place used to be amazing. coming here about once every ten years reaffirms it is not. This last visit found the atmosphere kinda whacky, the piano made it feel like an ice cream parlor for a kids birthday as well as just a litte too loud. The tablecloth had an extremely unpleasant scent to it despite it being clean and possibly brand new. The restaurant was easily above 80 degrees and it was cooler outside when we left despite being in a heatwave. People in the table over from us were fanning themselves with the menu. As for the food, like most "americanized" chinese the food is simple and perhaps too sweet. Maybe the same sauce base is used throughout. Things that are labeled as "spicy" are definitely NOT spicy. my grandma might like this place and it seemed like the other grandmas there were enjoying it but would i come back, nah. Awesome!! It is very authentic Chinese food. I need to come here at least twice a month. I think the owners and workers are really from china too which makes it that much more special of a place. There is an amazing aquarium in the lobby and I love watching the Chiclid fish swimming around gracefully. Our favorite things are the honey walnut shrimp, shrimp and vegetables, and the garlic chicken. We always order won ton soup as well. read more

This place is amazing. I ordered the Wasabi Walnut Shrimp and it was incredible, I've never had anything like it. The egg rolls were fresh and the salad had a delicious citrus vinaigrette. This spot was disappointing....I mean the meat in the beef and broccoli wasn't really seasoned right and the broccoli tasted raw (not even slightly steamed) I mean this place didn't even provide teriyaki sauce we had to ask for the soy sauce. We ordered the orange chicken (didn't even really have any orange sauce on it) the chicken was properly cooked. the beef lo mein was blah no flavor noodles and hardly any meat mainly sprouts then noodles.
