OMG they are finally open! This is my favorite boba joint and it's soooo close. Easy parking in their lot. Woot! It was empty when we arrived after lunch. We were the only ones there. But after we ordered there was a steady stream of clients who came in. It's so pretty inside. Everything is decked out in pink and white. So nice and clean. They have a huge big screen tv playing music videos. We ordered: Pretty in pink: 4/5 the tea was really good but the toppings were a little hard and I wasn't really into the taste of the strawberry hearts. Manly melons: 5/5 really really really yummy! Came here twice during my stay in Sunnyvale. Being a person from the southeast US, I think my opinion is biased, so be warned. Drinks are way overpriced. I came with my boyfriend and bought 2 drinks and it came out to $15 without tip?? Foxy Brown: Ordered with 50% ice, 50% sugar. Sugar level was still really sweet to me, but when I asked for 25%, they said they could either only do 0, 50, or 100%. So I just went with 50%. Flavor was ok, nothing special, just your normal everyday brown sugar boba. The pearls were soft, but not in a good way. The outside of the pearls felt like a film that sorta peeled off in my mouth, leaving me with an unsatisfactory residue after swallowing. When I finished the drink, I realized the cup was literally filled halfway with ice. Wasn't aware that 50% meant half of the cup... Sugarcoat: Ordered with no ice, 50% sugar. Similar taste as Foxy Brown, but a little milkier. I really liked the texture of the creme brulee top. Some caramelized pieces came up through the straw and enhanced my drinking experience. Pearl texture was exactly the same as in the Foxy Brown, which disappointed me again, but at least the sugar crystals helped me enjoy the experience more. This drink didn't seem too sweet to me, either. This gets a better rating than the Foxy Brown. Vibes of the interior are crazy good though. I came in at around 10pm and was absolutely shook by the decor. The tables were literally glowing with some sort of internal LEDs that cycled through a gradient of colors. There's a giant projector/monitor on one wall that played music videos. The other wall had a row of mini digital fireplaces. Interior was dark to emphasize the brightness of the screens and tables. Had a nightclub sorta feel, and I'm here for it. Unfortunately, I don't believe in going to a boba place just for the decor. The boba is mediocre, and the next time I come back to Sunnyvale, I'm passing up this place for something else. This Pekoe isn't as nightclubby as the others, but it still has some of that flavor with the dim lighting and music that's way too loud. It's a nice place to chill with friends, especially because not a lot of boba spots are open as late and with that much seating. Service was super fast, drinks came out within a few minutes, but it wasn't super busy when we went. Pekoe can always be pretty sweet, so I always get half sugar and regular ice. Wow another top boba shop to add to the growing list in Mountain View/Sunnyvale. Compared to the other locations, this one felt much cleaner but just as "hip" as the other ones minus the large crowd (but that might change soon once more of the younger crowd gets wind of it). ((But also might be because I went on a Monday night.)) I got the Pretty in Pink drink with less ice and half sweetness. I'm not one to drink a very sweet drink but I do like some sugar, so 50% sweetness was perfect. A lot of other places that do 50% are always just below the sweetness that I prefer. The boba didn't taste sweetened, but the drink and strawberry jelly were just the right amount. So glad to have Pekoe closer to where we live, we'll be back soon read more

I was so excited to see a Pekoe open closer to me! The interior is so cute and there's a big projector for music, pink couches, and these color changing seats. The vibe going on definitely makes getting drinks at Pekoe more of an experience. We got Foxy Brown, Manly Melons (my two go to drinks at Pekoe), and the Taro Smoothie; the quality of their drinks is also consistent with the San Jose locations. I will be back here for sure! Because of their window coloring, it looked really dark from outside and they had most lights turned off (this was about 10:20pm) and we almost thought they were closed. They were showing some videos on a big screen. Anyway, drinks were so-so. If you Really Had to Have Boba at 10pm on a weeknight, this is one of the few places you could go. The inside of the shop is pretty nice! I'm happy they opened up across the street from my favorite billiards spot. It was nice of Pekoe to offer the BOGO sale and complimentary cookies for their grand opening! The workers are always nice (all locations) and very informative, so I've never had a problem with their services. Their drinks do run more on the sweet side (because you are what you drink... sweet) (⁄ ⁄*⁄⁄*⁄ ⁄). I recommend 50% sweetness because I've gained like 5 lbs drinking Pekoe all the time. If you drive a lowered car, it's easier to angle from the first entrance and leave the same way lol. Located in a strip mall with different business that typically close around 6pm, Pekoe is the lone business that opens late! When I was driving on El Camino at night, I thought a night club had opened near my Nothing Bundt Cakes. Bright lights and signage really stuck out. Inside you'll find vibrant hip decor and large screen TVs. Can order ahead from their website. Great selection of tea and smoothies. If you can't decide what you want, certain teas are available split cup! Check it out. I've had the mk twist (mango and kumquat with mango stars) and Mario Luiychee (lychee with lychee bits). pekoe is known for their interesting flavor combinations especially on the fruity side. unfortunately, i was disappointed and did not finish my drink - which is quite rare for me. i got the foxy brown through doordash which is a assam black milk tea with boba. i requested 0% sweet or as little sweet as possible. the first issue is that they forgot the boba, which could've been just a mistake. the milk tea itself though didn't taste like anything - just very watered down black tea and not milky/creamy at all. i tried putting some of my own sugar in and it didn't help at all. the other fruit drinks may be better but i know pekoe usually runs really sweet. read more

I got the pretty in pink drink as it's their most popular drink but was honestly pretty disappointed. The strawberry flavor tasted very artificial to me and didn't taste fresh at all. I did appreciate the boba to drink ratio. The strawberry jelly was hard to drink because the pieces were bigger than the straw and some of the boba pieces were not chewy at all. I can usually finish my milk tea drinks quickly but because of the taste I really could not finish this one. I also asked for half sweetness and it was still very sweet. Most importantly, I love how they're open until midnight and the drinks come out fast. Like to the point that I just placed the order and not even 30 seconds later, my order is ready. This location is not as busy as their other locations - it seems a bit easier to hang out here, instead of the other ones that were darker and louder. Service is eh - the employees working were pretty impatient. I tried their Manly Melons and Let That ManGo Smoothie. The Manly Melons is a jasmine green tea with lychee, mango, strawberry, and watermelon. I got it with boba instead of the toppings included, which was aloe vera and white agar pearls. My kids love getting Pekoe because they love the half/half combo cup, which they call "Friendship Cups" because they share it. I love the half/half combo cup because it's less sugar for the kids and less expensive. Place is 10/10, Drinks 9/10, Fast service 10/10, cleanliness 8/10, Greetings when you enter 7/10. I give it 4 stars because it's really hard to find a 10/10 place and you have to be equipped on top of the 5 things I think every place should display. Honestly a pretty big deterrent for me, as it would not be a place that I would personally want to hang out with a friend over boba with. I got the Gold Mine, and it was generally good. The tea flavor was a little diluted, but quite creamy. However, there was a very strange fruity taste to the drink, even though my drink contained no fruit components. I generally avoid fruit milk teas, so this was off putting. The pearls were quite soft at first, but firmed to a texture that I quite enjoyed. Definitely a lot of ice like other reviewers have pointed out, even though I asked for less ice. The drink is also quite large; I wish they had more size options, because I would have definitely downsized from even the smallest size. Tip: Next time you have a raffle at grand opening, you should probably have someone regulating the line. I was in line since 8:30AM and I've seen at least 20-30 people cut in front of me to join their friends. One friend group even bringing in 6+ people in with them late, with one friend literally joining the line at 10AM. We ordered the Cuppa Vo (Vietnamese Coffee normally with Custard, but they ran out of custard) and Split Cup with Pretty In Pink and Kawaii. Cuppa Vo was really strong, and Kawaii would have been better if it was less sweet (I forgot to ask if they could adjust the sugar level). I got the Black Dragon and the Thai Tea Whities. The Black Dragon was a little too strong and coffee like to me. The Thai Tea Whities was delicious and I liked the milk pudding. I will get less ice next time since it was a little too much ice for me. Parking is okay and the ambience is fun. I enjoyed my visit here and will be back. When I took my first sip I felt like i was biting into a mango! I also ordered that half sweet and it came with mango jellies inside which had the perfect chewy bite! Also, shoutout to the cashier!
