Beef and Potato Combo Dumpling Entree with razorback topping
    Louise F.

This place has been on my list for a while and I'm so glad their food truck was at pride in the park this weekend. We got the combo beef/potato dumplings with the razorback topping. The dumplings dough was chewy and springy and both the fillings were great. I especially liked the potato ones. The entire container was gone in a flash

GREAT place for some unique local bites. I recommend the Razorback or my favorite The Khan. This place is one of those places that make you proud of your local spaces. Solid gold choice for the people by the people.

Razorback ($10 for regular) and Greek ($11 for small) Takeout Orders

MMMMMM I was not expecting this place to be so good!! Tried the Razorback ($10 for a regular size) and the Greek ($11 for a small). The bacon onion relish was really something and the tzatziki was rich and creamy and complemented the dumplings perfectly. The dumplings are small but dense and doughy. I found the portion sizes to be perfect. We called to take out and our food was ready in 20ish minutes. The interior looks cool! There was a hair in the food (lol) but oh well.

Pel Meni had a stand at the Seattle Christmas Market, which is where I tried them for the first time, so I don't really know how accurate of a reflection this review would be for their actual physical location. But when I had them at the Christmas Market, I thought they were only okay. Nice and chewy, I think I just wasn't a big fan of the seasoning I had picked, which I remember came with curry powder and red chili. It was suuuper salty, but I did like the texture of the dumplings and appreciated that they weren't super overpriced like a lot of the other Christmas Market options.

Been to the bellingham location often during my college years. Thought i should try the seattle location out. Totally different vibe, cleaner and fancier, and more sophisticated flavors. This place has more options too. I always like to get both beef and potato but for this Classic one i loved it with just beef. But also, its russian dumplings. Its just sooo good and juicyy. Looking forward to try all of their flavors hehe

I always love the pelmeni here and the wonderful variations they offer! As a native Russian it's always fun to try a new take on the food you grew up on. We ate here on July 4th, right before the huge fireworks show and the one guy in the kitchen kept up the entire restaurant and bar. He was amazing! We waited for a bit, but not crazy long. Maybe 15 min? Luckily the board games kept us entertained.

Never had Pel Meni before, but very glad I tried! You order at the counter, and you can ask for a pickle! I ordered a small traditional potato dumpling. I was surprised at how small it was. I'd definitely recommend getting at least a medium, but I really enjoyed the taste of them!

Went to this place on Halloween night around 1:30am, it was not busy at all, and there are only a couple people. I love this place and couldn't stop craving for more! I ordered traditional and classic, beef and potato! I couldn't pick which one I like more, because I like them equally, the classic one has red sauce and curry powder, so much flavor and the traditional one is bland and light. You eat with sour cream so it added extra flavor. The only thing I dislike is too much water in it but that doesn't bother me too much, I think they should add a little more salt at least for the potato and beef. The bathroom in cap hill one is kinda creep if you go in late, because it's in a theater and they might turn off all the lights. Food: 9/10 Environment:10/10 Service: 10/10

Love this place and there should be more joints like this! It's low key, open late but delicious and perfectly portioned. Must try all the flavors if you can! Nicholas was a really good guy who took care of us when we stopped late night and also gave us some great Seattle recommendations for additional sight seeing!

This Pel'Meni is conveniently located in the building that houses 12th Avenue Arts, where I love to see plays. I have been meaning to check this one out as I have been to the one in Fremont and love it there! Last week I was finally able to have dinner here before a performance next door. I had the black bean, sour cream, and spicy jalapeños special potato dumpling bowl and was not disappointed. It was a bit on the spicy side so it was hard to eat when it was fresh out of the kitchen hot in temperature - but there's nothing like fresh hot pel'meni's! Seating in this space is very limited so it may be wise to carry out here. There are probably 3 tables in addition to the bar seating of 6? spaces. They offer a good local selection of microbrews and a cold water station to cool down after spicy d

Im not too sure what to expect here. I just ended up being really disappointed by this place. Its probably a good snack if you're drunk (pretty much any food in the area would be), but its really not that good. Flavor is a bit bland and basic. We tried the beef, potato, classic and razorback. Also, we walked into the bar/restaurant and literally got ignored. They looked at us and even made eye contact and didn't say one word. There was no one else in the shop. The next group that came in was greeted with happiness and smiles. I literally had to walk up to them to get their attention. I don't know any of the workers and have never met them. I don't see the reason why they would completely ignore us. Honestly, a wasted meal. Really wish I spent my money elsewhere. I've had similar homemade dumplings from one of my friends and they were much better.

Regular sauce dumplings with the bread and sour cream

So this Russian dumpling place was next to the hostel where I was staying. Every time I left or came back, I would see this yellow sign with a red star. I love dumplings and I guess I was curious what a Russian dumpling was. They were open late, so my eating partner and I dropped in for some late night munchies. We decided to share a small size of the regular dumplings. It came with a slice of bread and a dollop of sour cream. I don't know why but it took a long time for the dumplings to be ready. There were maybe 2-3 orders ahead of ours. I guess they also had to do online orders as well, but the guy had two cauldrons of water boiling at the same time. The verdict on these dumplings is that they are not that bad. The sauce is interesting; I guess I'm used to simple soy sauce and vinegar. They are bite-sized and kinda cute. I'm not sure I would go out of my way to get this again, but for something that seemed sketchy at first, it didn't turn out so badly!

Amazing original dumplings finished with vinegar

Open late - last call for liquor is at 2:30AM Ah-mazing dumplings! Hearty and savory, the zing from the vinegar that they finish it off with is muy finito! So good! This place also offers a variety of infused house made liquor which pairs so well with the dumplings, and the great thing is this place is open late! Can't beat that!

Roquette was a surprisingly small space with a wonderful vibe serving up "destination" bar-worthy cocktails. It reminded me of some of the neighborhood gem cocktail bars that I'd frequented on the East Coast. I grabbed a seat at the bar. Roquette's lineup of cocktails were varied in flavor profile using a wide range of spirits. They also served non-alcoholic offerings which looked equally intriguing as their boozy selections. I started off with the 99 Problems ($28), which, unfortunately, I forgot to note what was in the drink. It was boozy, clever, inventive, and most importantly delicious. My second drink was the Imperium Old Fashioned ($24) made with Westland Whiskey "Roquette" Barrel, Clement Cask Strength Rhum, Old Delicious Apple Brandy, Pineapple, and Spice. It was an excellent, boozy, balanced update to the classic Old Fashioned. Although I went with drinks off their menu, I have no doubt that any of their skilled bar professionals could've crafted me a wonderful cocktail if I had simply requested a classic or something on the fly based on my choice of spirit and desired flavor profile. Yes, the prices on the two drinks I ordered were pretty steep, but they were comparable to prices I've paid in Las Vegas. Plus, I don't have a problem with paying a premium for a well-made cocktail made with premium ingredients in a comfortable, welcoming setting (the drunken guy next to me who tried to engage with me in a political discussion excluded). Bottom-line: Roquette was a revelation. It served up two of the best cocktails that I've had this year.
