Overall great experience. I will start with that. 4 stars for lackluster wedge salad. It was 1/4 head of ice burg with a side of blue cheese $6. No tomatoes, bacon, anything?? Classic fish special was out of this world!! Best fish in Marco Island hands down. Blooming Onion was great, grilled chicken and tenderloin sliders were also fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere can't be beat. However the fish of the day dinner was not good. No flavor and tasted only of being soaked in butter. Thank goodness for the slaw which was good. My husband had the groupen sandwich which he said was good. He tasted my fish of the day and we wonder how people could eat it. I have been going to Pelican bend for at least 10 years. This is the first time I have been here for lunch. They had two lunch specials and we had them both. First was a fish sandwich served different ways. Second was a bar b q sandwich wIth fries. The meat was left over rib eye doused in barbecue sauce. It's leftovers but was delicious. As said, love the waterfront locale and the staff is lovely. However, the bathroom was filthy and there was no tp. The food was awful--a hair in my slaw, the soft shell crabs were soaked in lemon and butter--all you could taste was lemon. Such a waste as they were inedible. And don't get me started on the fries. What's with battered fries? So I asked for the steak fries. Steak fries, they are not. They are seasoned, battered wedges. Gross. Never eating there again. read more

I'm not a tourist so the view and location did nothing for me, but let me tell you the food blew my mind! I got the fried grouper sandwich and it was the best I've ever had. Even the French fry's were amazing, I needed help getting up to leave because I left so full. I literally ate every piece of food on my plate which is not the norm. I also ordered the peanut butter pie to go, and that did not even make it to the parking lot. I love the mom and pop feel you could tell the people working together were family for the most part. This place is amazingly delicious. Everything our table had was incredibly tasty. I recommend the Prime rib, catch of the day, coconut shrimp, wedge salad with the home made garlic sauce, and the clam chowder soup. The prime rib/ Stake, is thick, juicy, and soft to eat. The catch of the day sautéed, had a taste of butter and lime. Very good. The coconut shrimp, was big and the sauce that came with it was on point. Service is great, dinner starts at 5pm. I recommend to be there right at 5 before it starts to get busy. read more

Great waterfront seafood restaurant on Isles of Capri. Wonderful views outside of the fishing boats, pelicans and seagulls. Friendly staff. Great seafood and salads. Best thing about this place other than the food is they do not hurry you. You can sit and relax and take all the time you like to eat and visit with your friends. Made from scratch desserts including key lime pie and peanut butter pie- both are awesome!! Can't say enough good things about this place. We went there 3 times in one week!! Only sat outside by the water so cannot comment on their indoor restaurant. Music on Thursdays. This restaurant is a must on the list if visiting Naples/Marco Island. read more

Can't complain about this restaurant! The service was excellent! We ordered appetizers first. Conch fritters & lobster bites. Delish! Our dinners consisted of the catch of the day,which was grouper, sautéed fish, lobster sandwich and sautéed shrimp! The food was rather rich with the butter, lemon and oil mix over the fish, but was tasty regardless! The fish was rather thin, which is probably why the prices are low in comparison to other seafood restaurants. The atmosphere was entertaining with the pelicans also waiting for a bite to eat when the fishing boat came in! Some pluses and some minuses! The customers were friendly and fun - and asked us not to share others about the place. Maybe they were serious... The setting, the bar and the restaurant are fantastic. The bar staff works hard to make sure you have your drinks. When we ordered dinner the appetizers were relatively fast, then ... the world stopped. We watched our waitress visit many tables as we approached 45 min awaiting grouper sandwiches and fish tacos - but not visiting ours. At an hour a an initial waitress visit inquires if we would like drink refills. The drinks showed five minutes later - but no food and no mention why. When we had waited an hour thirty, we inquired with the hostess what was happening - because our waitress was still avoiding the table. We were told at dinner the kitchen gets jammed -- ON A WEDNESDAY??!! No apology, no offer for a round of drinks because of an unusual wait, just that's how it is. We decided to ask the bus boy what's going on - our food arrived within 4 min. When we finally received and finished our food, the waitress suddenly appeared and asked if anyone wanted dessert. No thanks, we don't want to have midnight key lime pie. Check please. There was never a better scenario when I wanted to test my inner teen and dine and dash. The bill was over $250... no tip was deserved. Had visited twice prior without issue and four if not five star visits. But after this terrible service, won't return. There are other options with grouper sandwiches, fish tacos, good bar service, and views - and the restaurant would do something when it screws up this bad. read more

We cannot rate the food as we only stopped here for a drink, so please take this review for service and atmosphere only. We stopped to have a drink and look at the boats coming in. It was a chilly night, so not many people were outside dining. We had a group of 10 and when asked if dining, we informed the hostess we were not, and only wanted some drinks. We were told the dockside bar inside pavilion area was for diners only, but we could sit outside at the tiki bar. Temperature was around 60, we did order a round and after a few minutes the hostess said we could go in the bar/tiki hut area that was enclosed, however the ladies could sit at the bar and the men could stand behind them. We had 2 drinks each and went next door to the Capri Fish House where we were welcomed inside the enclosed tiki/bar are regardless if we ordered food or not. read more

We've been coming to this restaurant for the 6 winters we've spent in the area and it has never disappointed. We especially like it because it's great food at very reasonable prices. That's something so hard to find in Naples/Marco so it's truly a hidden gem. If you're looking for fancy, forget it. It's an older place but has lots of charm. Great outdoor seating right on the water. Love the wedge of lettuce that comes with a dinner - it's always so fresh and the dressing is drinkable. The sautéed Whitefish as well as their scallops are delicious and always so fresh. The key lime pie is also amazing. Drinks are so, so reasonable. Great live music on Friday nights (not sure if every week). Definitely check their hours before you go. We sold our place here and this is one place that we will truly miss!! read more

Had the most delicious meal I've had in 18 days being on Marco Island! I had the white fish and it was done perfectly. It was delicious. and I would highly suggest anybody that likes fish to get it. We love this little dive... If you are expecting fancy food, expensive drinks, etc., this place is not for you. But if you want a respite from the many overpriced restaurants on Marco Island, this place is for you. The service is very homey, the ambience is sort of kitschy, and some of the food is very good, most notably the fried oysters, the lobster salad, and the lobster melt. Stay away from the chowder, it's rather anemic. Kick back and have some fun. You can spend a lot of money other places another time. read more

We (5ppl) were there 1/2/2020 got there at 5:35pm was told 25min. At 6:15pm we asked how much longer was told waiting on a few tables to leave. Finally at 7pm we were seated after ppl after us got seated first because they were a group of 6 and they couldn't seat 5ppl at a table for 6 but had to seat 5ppl at a table for 4 ‍. Hostess said waiting on ppl to leave to every group asking how much longer. Waited 15 min before server even acknowledged us only came 1 time to see if we needed anything after we got our meals and when we got the check we didn't even look at bill just handed her our credit card and took another 15 min to return for us to sign! If you're a follower of my reviews, you know I'm a sucker for a waterfront bar & restaurant. It may or may not positively impact my score....guilty as charged. Pelican Bend lived up to its name as there were a gaggle of Pelicans dockside being fed fresh fish from returning fisherman. It was a nice 72 degrees which is perfect outdoor dining weather; not too hot not too cold, just right. Lunch was kicked off the right way, with a round of drinks! The beers were flowing & the good times a rollin, can't beat that type of lunch. I ordered the hogfish tacos and they were spot on. The fish and toppings were the perfect portion because it filled the taco nicely but wasn't overfilled to the point where they were splattering out each side. On the flip side, they weren't under filled which would have pissed me off so good job Pelican Bend for getting it down pat. To cap off the entire meal, I ordered the key lime pie because it's a Florida staple and I was sufficiently satisfied. I'm not a key lime pie connoisseur so it could have store bought for all I know but hey whatever, I enjoyed it. Got the combo basket with fried oysters and fish. Oysters were plentiful and fresh. Fish was okay... could have been crispier and more juicy. Fries and coleslaw were excellent. Service was great and friendly. Staff wearing masks and signs indicating to wear masks if not seated. Menus were paper and thrown out after each use due to COVID-19. Tables nicely spaced out. Both good and worth having again. Loved the traditional wedge salad, but can you add some tomatoes or bacon? Great choices for dessert - but if chocolate or peanuts allergies are an issue than just the key lime pie which was just ok. Add a cheesecake choice! They forgot my oysters..dang. You really don't need to look at a menu, just order the signature catch of the day with a wedge of lettuce & homemade house dressing. So simple, yet so perfect! Not worth a ride out in the middle of nowhere. Served its purpose for our carnivorous (except moi) biking gang that needed to eat. I managed to eat vegan, (lots of sides), food took forever to deliver (over an hour but then we were a group of 12). Mostly fish, fried foods. They have home made salad dressings and serve wedges. According to consensus, food was okay. Scallops were not worth the price, not sure anything was but the sides. Small old house like, seats close to each other, quaint, staff was not exceptionally friendly, wouldn't return unless I had to. read more
