But this one was very clean, had plenty of seating inside and out, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Their vegan burger was excellent! It's really the only vegan option, but if you want some veggie pub food with friends and a few drinks, it's a great option. The staff was also incredibly nice and very helpful! We were there when they weren't very busy, but they were really attentive. We got a table inside and I loved looking at the giant silver beer brewing.. things. (I don't know anything about beer lol!) It was still both beautiful and fascinating though. I've visited almost every Pelican Brewing Company location along the Oregon coast, and while passing through Tillamook, my family and I decided to stop at this smaller location. We were hopeful going in, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our server, Brenton, was one of the rudest employees we've encountered not just at Pelican Brewing Company, but anywhere along the Oregon coast. He came across as though he genuinely disliked his job, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Because of this, my husband and I decided not to order anything and chose to leave instead. The overall vibe made it difficult to enjoy our visit. Needless to say, we won't be returning to this location. In the future, we would much rather drive the extra 45 minutes to the Pelican Brewing Company Cannon Beach location, which has always offered a much more welcoming environment and friendly service. read more

Micro fish and chips with tartar was DELICIOUS but the chowder was extremely underwhelming. It was way too salty and didn't match any of the chowder that we had during our Oregon coast trip. Stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday. I had the fried cheese curds. Honestly a must every time I eat here. They bring me right back to my childhood growing up in Wisconsin. Food was great! Service definitely needs major improvement. The cashier lady on August 15 at around 2:30 was definitely rude and did not take our order correct or input our food well. When asked her to put a sauce on the side, made a face. We asked for two ciders and she only gave us one and then said we didn't order two when we infact did. Then we asked for a side salad and she gave us a full salad and charged us for it. When it was our turn to order just waved her hand versus giving a better customer service response. Definitely needs to work on better customer service and would appreciate a better attitude to not ruin future customers experience. Compared to the other neighboring locations in Oregon, this one is the least impressive. We ordered at the front and the staff never really interacted with us. There was minimal indoor seating. It was cold and windy outside with a small tent. You bus your own tables when you are done. Usually, their food is pretty good as far as typical American fare at a bar goes. It was just ok on this particular occasion. The batter on the fish and chips was thick and under seasoned. The side salad was bitter with minimally dressed. The clam chowder was bland and had too much heavy cream in it. For how much we paid, it just wasn't terribly satisfying. In the future, we will still come here if the family wants to have their beer. Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. This is a bit of a rougher, more small town menu than what they have at their Cannon Beach location. Order at the bar/register and you are given a beeper to go grab your food when it is done. A bit different level of quality to the burger, but hey, it is Tillamook. He opted for the West Coast IPA and I for the Red Ale. It is self-serve, where you order the counter and pick up your own food when the buzzer goes off. We sat inside as the smell on this particular day was quite strong, likely from dairy Farms or something else, but it was too pungent. Enjoyed a light dinner and some beers here while visiting Tillamook last week. Coming from the desert, we loved sitting out on the patio to enjoy the cool fresh air. There were a couple of other patrons outside, one at a fireside table; the inside was pretty busy. I appreciate the casual atmosphere and walking up to order beers and food. The woman who took our order & poured our beer flight as well as the gentleman that brought out our food were both real friendly. My husband and I weren't super hungry so we opted to share a bowl of clam chowder and a kale Caesar salad. The salad was huge and really good; the clam chowder was surprisingly some of the best I've had. I was almost tempted to order a 2nd bowl all to myself lol! We did get their big flight wheel that came with their core beers plus 2 additional of our choosing. The beer wasn't spectacular, but it was still enjoyable. The pilsner was definitely my favorite. Overall we did enjoy coming here, especially for the food. If we ever find ourselves on the Oregon coast again, we'll be in for some more clam chowder and a pint of beer! read more

Nice place. After driving through Cape Mares, we stopped by Pelican Brewery on our way back to Rockaway Beach. We were quickly greeted and ordered at the counter. We ordered Fish n Chips, Chowder, a Tuna Melt and two Tsunami Beers. Everything was super delicious. There was plenty of room inside, I guess because it was the middle of the week. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, but it was a bit too cool to sit outside. Normally, they issue a hand alarm to let you know your food is ready. But since there was no rush in customers, our food was brought to us. Next time we're in the area we will definitely return. The atmosphere and food were great . read more

We stopped by for dinner one drizzly evening. Had the weather been warmer and drier, the patio would have been a fun place to sit. I saw signs about live music, although there wasn't any that night. First experience at a Pelican Brewing Co. location and cannot complain! Learned there are 4 total locations, northernmost being in Cannon Beach and southernmost being in Siltez Bay, and in between in Pacific Beach and Tillamook (this location). Service is order up at the counter, get a buzzer, pick up your own food, and seat yourself either inside or outside (which os dog friendly). If you don't mind this mostly self-service then you'll love this spot, especially on a good weather day. Food was good, we order across the board - Buffalo chicken wings, Brussel sprouts, chowder, kids cheeseburger and chicken fingers, fish tacos and fish and chips. Fish is Alaskan cod, the fish and chips had previously frozen water run off, the gosh tacos did not. Everything was as expected, nothing outstanding but also not terrible. We tried all three of their ciders - Marionberry, pineapple, and original. All went down happily! Two gender neutral restrooms inside, both clean and well stocked. Water is self serve, one inside next to order pick up and one outside. Corn hole outside, and a lounge area for casual hang outs. Overall super glad we made the stop after visiting the Tillamook Creamery, brought the pup, and hope to visit the newest table service location in Siletz Bay. read more

Stopped in for lunch around 11:30 on a Friday. Not very busy at all. No lines and only two tables occupied outside. They have a nice large outdoor seating area with 4-top tables and picnic tables. There's a bussing station by the door where you put your dirty plates and glasses. They have fresh cold water available at the counter where you order food. Once you enter the building, you order your food at the counter, then you're given a pager to let you know when your food is ready to be picked up at the kitchen counter. We ordered the Pelican Fish and Chips ($15.99), Tillamook Fried Cheese Curds ($11.99) and Spicy Brussel Sprouts ($10.99). Our food didn't take long at all...maybe 5 minutes?! Everything was really good! The Alaskan cod was flaky and breading not too thick. The fries were fries. The cheese curds were yummy, but I didn't really care for the dipping sauce. My husband enjoyed it on the fries. The brussel sprouts were yummy. The honey sriracha was paired perfectly. The restaurant was clean and service friendly. We will definitely be back. Had to rerate my original review. Even months later this experience stands out as one of the worst meal I have had for a long time. Cafeteria food with an egregious price tag. It wasn't bad food, It just wasn't good. If I compared it to Burger King I would say it was great.
