Came to lunch on our way to Tillamook and the outside patio was really inviting. Service was counter service, which kind of added to the brewpub vibe. Food menu was limited, which was expected, and the food was tasty. Fish a little overcooked, but Everything met expectations.

Lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for warm weather! Yummiest root beer float! The spicy burger and buffalo wings were very delicious. Good bar fried food! Self service once you order inside.

It been many years since we have been to this location. It is still a nice place to grab a beer and burger. The staff was very nice and the food was good. You're able to look over the brewery area from the food/bar area above which adds some extra cool view factor.

Fish and Chips with a Side Caesar Salad

Compared to the other neighboring locations in Oregon, this one is the least impressive. We ordered at the front and the staff never really interacted with us. There was minimal indoor seating. It was cold and windy outside with a small tent. You bus your own tables when you are done. Usually, their food is pretty good as far as typical American fare at a bar goes. It was just ok on this particular occasion. The batter on the fish and chips was thick and under seasoned. The side salad was bitter with minimally dressed. The clam chowder was bland and had too much heavy cream in it. For how much we paid, it just wasn't terribly satisfying. In the future, we will still come here if the family wants to have their beer. But I wouldn't otherwise.

The cider and stout are amazing! Staff is funny and kind. We really enjoyed this place.

We loved this location when it used to be a coffee shop, glad to see it was turned into a place to eat. My kale salad was SO good. My friend liked hers until what she thought was a dried cranberry was a beetle lol. They refunded her. I would get the salad again and they grow their own kale they said, it was really good and bugs are just nature and protein, but I'm not also grossed out easily! I will definitely go back.

The pork sandwich and fries that cost $22.99

Grossly--and I mean offensively--overpriced for counter ordering, self service and bus your own dishes dining. We were charged $44 for one sandwich (see photo) and two beers with a suggested tip of 22%. The person who took our order was pleasant enough, but other than ringing it up and taking our payment, there was no service. Steer clear of this place unless you're super flush with cash and savings. $22.99 for that sandwich? Come on!! Update: So around 5:30 pm I threw up the entire meal. Incredible case of food poisoning.

The food is delicious and good sized. For the fish tacos you get 3-4 pieces of fish per taco. The sauce has just enough kick to it that it warms the taste buds. The fries are pretty good too. The beer was good as well and just the right amount to sip on. Cozy place I think about a dozen tables plus some bar seating. You order first thing so kinda have to know what you want to get but other then that nice spot to eat at.

Buffalo chicken wings, cheese curds and kale Cesar salad

Stopped by on our way south along the Oregon coast. The food was delicious and the beers were good. My husband had the wings, I had the cheese curds and the kale Caesar salad. He opted for the West Coast IPA and I for the Red Ale. It is self-serve, where you order the counter and pick up your own food when the buzzer goes off. We sat inside as the smell on this particular day was quite strong, likely from dairy Farms or something else, but it was too pungent. Inside was cool as you get to look at all of the Brewers doing in their work. Would definitely be back if we were staying in the area.

Inside looking toward entrance. Lots of great merch and beer to go!

Enjoyed a light dinner and some beers here while visiting Tillamook last week. Coming from the desert, we loved sitting out on the patio to enjoy the cool fresh air. There were a couple of other patrons outside, one at a fireside table; the inside was pretty busy. I appreciate the casual atmosphere and walking up to order beers and food. The woman who took our order & poured our beer flight as well as the gentleman that brought out our food were both real friendly. My husband and I weren't super hungry so we opted to share a bowl of clam chowder and a kale Caesar salad. The salad was huge and really good; the clam chowder was surprisingly some of the best I've had. I was almost tempted to order a 2nd bowl all to myself lol! We did get their big flight wheel that came with their core beers plus 2 additional of our choosing. The beer wasn't spectacular, but it was still enjoyable. The pilsner was definitely my favorite. Overall we did enjoy coming here, especially for the food. If we ever find ourselves on the Oregon coast again, we'll be in for some more clam chowder and a pint of beer!

Nice place. After driving through Cape Mares, we stopped by Pelican Brewery on our way back to Rockaway Beach. We were quickly greeted and ordered at the counter. We ordered Fish n Chips, Chowder, a Tuna Melt and two Tsunami Beers. Everything was super delicious. There was plenty of room inside, I guess because it was the middle of the week. They also have plenty of outdoor seating, but it was a bit too cool to sit outside. Normally, they issue a hand alarm to let you know your food is ready. But since there was no rush in customers, our food was brought to us. Next time we're in the area we will definitely return. The atmosphere and food were great .

Fun atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food (try the fish and chips) and very reasonable prices. Hailey had top notch beverage recommendations and helped recommend the tasty food. Both were so good.

Cider- not my fav

We stopped by for dinner one drizzly evening. Had the weather been warmer and drier, the patio would have been a fun place to sit. I saw signs about live music, although there wasn't any that night. When you walk in, you place your order at the counter. The servers were friendly and fun to chat with. I ordered clam chowder, caesar salad, and a cider. The food items were tasty, but their cider wasn't my cup of tea as it was a bit sour. My husband had the blonde beer, which was light and good. Their kid's meals were great! The chicken was crispy and delicious. Overall, Pelican Brewing serves classic dishes with a slightly different spin.

As a self proclaimed clam chowder connoisseur I take the hunt for delicious clam chowder throughout…read morethe PNW coastal area very seriously. Each beach town my husband I travel to, I spend far too much time reading reviews about clam chowder. If only I spent as much energy in other areas of my life as I do "internet-researching" clam chowder, who knows what I could accomplish. I must say that the clam chowder at Werner Beef & Brew is exactly what I have been hunting for. It is the perfect texture and consistency. It has a spectacular balance of clam to potato ratio, and the potatoes are cooked to perfection. They don't have too much bite, nor do they disintegrate into mush the moment they enter your mouth. The chowder itself was worth traveling from Rockaway to Tillamook for. It was even worth a more industrial view vs. an establishment with a more coastal and picturesque backdrop. The salad bar was on point. The variety of salad add-ins, dressings, and topping crunchy-bits were epic. It was a nice balance to the very rich perfect chowder I am already missing. I miss it. I miss the chowder. My husband also got the fish tacos, based on others' reviews and enjoyed every bite. I enjoyed their Dragon Fruit Cider, and he ordered one of their Meaty Bloody Mary's. If you are on the fence if you should order one, you should. You should get that bloody mary. The bloody mary then led us to purchase some of their salami and bologna. It was an elevated version of the sandwich meat my grandpa used with white bread, yellow mustard (off-brand), ice burg lettuce, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Mid-life has me craving nostalgia. It might be the hormone imbalance, but salami white bread sandwiches, here I come.

I have gotten the breakfast burrito when having breakfast and would characterize it as large, yet underwhelming in taste. None of the beers that i have tried are particularly memorable, but they are very drinkable. The service is courteous and they strive to keep the tables clean. The ordering here is done at the counter and I have found this to be a great way of taking orders in a casual establishment. This allows one to peruse the menu at a table at one's own speed, then walk up to the counter to ask any questions about the menu and then place the order. My experiences have been that the employee at the register has always been patient, informative and respectful. They bring your order to your table when it is ready. My experience is that they give you a conservative estimate of the time for preparing and the real time has been shorter. Note that I think they do a good job with turnaround times given how many customers are in the restaurant combined with their apparent significant take-out business. My dinner experiences have been very satisfying and that is what one would expect from a meat purveyor. However, they do not fumble the ball on the execution. Casual food, but tasty. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating: plenty of both. Part of the outside seating is heated and covered during much of the year. I have never been there when you could not choose a table. I think a great casual stop, and a unique one, when visiting the Tillamook area.

Went here while on a work trip and the food was phenomenal…read more It's an order and pay at the counter then get your food when it's ready kind of bar atmosphere. Super friendly staff. Their ciders are great, I tried the Viking Cherry Cider and loved it so much I bought a six pack to take home, at $18 for 6 it was still absolutely well worth it. For food my coworker got the Fish and Chips, deep fried in beef tallow for those who avoid seed oils, and said it was excellent. I had a caesar salad and fries to go with my cider and it was a lovely meal. This will absolutely be one of our go-to spots when in Salem from now on.

The inside atmosphere is sports bar fabulous plenty of seating for groups or couples. We shared a juicy hazy IPA and an order of scotch eggs while sitting on the patio, which is shaded and comfortable with both picnic tables and bar-top seating. I was thrilled to find that the scotch eggs were not only delicious but also authentically prepared. The yolk was soft and slightly runny, and the crust was perfectly crisp and flavorful. This establishment is a true hidden gem. While the food prices are a little steep, the quality definitely makes it worthwhile. We will be back!

I ordered the 3 piece fish and chips and a bottle of IBC root beer. The fish pieces were Alaskan cod, tender and with delicious, mild flavor. The cod was covered in a panko crust. I did squirt a bit of malt vinegar on the fish as I like that flavor. The plate came with fries and coleslaw. I am not much of a coleslaw person but this was pretty good. The fish came with a tasty tarter sauce which I just used to dip my fries into. My sister couldn't finish the pulled pork sandwich she ordered so I had some of that too. The pork was tender and flavorful although I wasn't overly fond of the bbq sauce they used. I had dessert! Celia's Homemade Oregon Berry Cobbler. Wow! The piping hot blueberries and strawberries were within a sweet, crisp crust and was magnificent. The cobbler was covered with a huge scoop of Tillamook vanilla bean ice cream. I loved this dessert. This is a comfortable, casual, fun place for a meal. I would definitely come back to eat here while in the old town area of McMinnville.
