Very spacious outdoor restaurant on the lake that is dog friendly. Friendly & fast service. The voodoo juice was pretty weak for $18 (especially compared to other local places on lake Lanier for the exact same drink). The calamari was tender. The fish & chips was a decent size portion and good. The clam chowder was a little runny with more potatoes and celery than clam. We would come back and give them another try to make a better drink. This is the SPOT on Lake Lanier. Has more of a locals vibe and less corporate than nearby Margaritaville. They have live music almost every night over the summer. You'll feel like you've been transplanted to a tiki bar somewhere more remote. They have a great selection of frozen drinks, delicious food (loved the mussels with chorizo and the peel'n'eat shrimp). You can boat there or drive. Great views, and plentiful seating outdoors and in! read more

Took a large group of family in from Texas on a summer Saturday night. We tried to get there early but they moved the courtesy docks since the last time we were there and it took me a while to find them - then they were full and we had to wait for a slip (they need more dock space). We did get a large table fairly quickly and service was attentive and friendly. However, it took forever for our order to come out and the food was just OK, especially given the price. You have to accept that you're paying for location and atmosphere - the food is straight out of the Sysco catalogue. But everyone in the family enjoyed the atmosphere, we weren't in a hurry anyway so it was a good time. Some of the specialty drinks were creative and tasty. read more

Go for the views, ambiance and drinks. Don't expect much in regards to the food. Stick with the easy bar food type items and you'll be ok. We live on the lake so we have frequented all the restaurants on it, this is still my favorite although we don't get here as often due to the distance from us. We went this past Saturday evening- put our names in at 5:30pm or so for a party of 11 and was told a 2 hour wait. We left and came back and it was pretty much 2 hours but we didn't mind as we expected that. They take your phone number and I believe you have 10 minutes after they text you when your table is ready to get to the hostess stand. The music that evening was pretty loud but who doesn't enoy live music! The drinks are really expensive (my coconut mojito was $14) but I guess you're paying for the location. They have fun frozen drinks in those swirly machines at the bar. The food is just OK....my coconut shrimp was over fried and mostly breading with a TON of fries and a teeny side of cole slaw. My husband ordered the steak tips and they were over cooked- the waitress said they are not allowed to take temperature orders so all the meat is well done (hamburgers also) so you can't order anything medium or rare just FYI The appetizers are always decent, we love the mussels in a chorizo beer broth! Boat parking can be tough! Sometimes you have to circle and wait. There are plenty of jet ski ports. This marina also rents boats and jet skiis so watch out for the inexperienced driver! First time back in about 2 years and we are in the Marina if that tells you anything I have to admit their improvements made a big difference. They added more boat parking and now we gave a pontoon to make it easier to get their without worrying about parking and walking a mile Could have used larger signs saying where the restaurant boat parking was but after a trip around the place we found it - signs are there if you have a magnifying glass to see them LOL They enlarged the dining area with all new seating and more TV's The menu is much the same but the quality is a lot better - before it was just so so and not worth it truthfully. The music was nice too The only thing we had that was not good was Calamari so just don't .... Recommend the Nachos - Fish Tacos - Fish n Chips and of course the drink menu You can't beat the views either Be prepared on weekends to wait though - we were lucky today read more

I took my family to Pelican Pete's Tuesday the 13th. . It is our go to dinner while on the water. They built an addition and it looks great but we were severely disappointed in the food. We started out with the calamari and it was very bland and chewy. The kids had the kids cheeseburger and they were ok. I got the $28 Steak Frites which tasted like a microwaved TV dinner. The wife ordered the salmon and it was somewhat edible. I've never paid so much at this restaurant. I understand inflation is hitting everyone but it sure was a hefty bill for what we were served. We hope it was simply a bad day as we have always loved this restaurant. read more

Bravo! Thursday April 22, 21 was the 1st day open. Blake was a friendly server, she wasn't completely versed on the menu but was quick to get answers to our questions specifically if they use peanut oil. She said they use soybean. I asked what airline chicken was and she returned promptly with the answer. My toddlers enjoyed their chicken nuggets with fries. My husband loved his burger and my Nana's airline chicken was very good, cooked perfectly! The rice needed salt but once I added some I was good to go! I do wish a manager would have come to the table to inquire as to how our visit was going because I would have given them props for making our first time visit a good one. *side note, the bathrooms aren't ready so you have to go up the ramp to the porta potties * read more

2nd visit and it's not good... The mussels had some gross thick stuff in the sauce as well as cheese on top. Cheese dies not go on mussels... Burgers are obviously frozen patties. The atmosphere and live music is great. We go by boat and car and love this place. The nachos and mussels and calamari are great too.

Living on the lake, we've given this place dozens of chances, but have sadly found the food and service disappointing each and every time. It's ok, though ... the lack of a quality option here has led us to get quite creative around packing and/or cooking our own meals on our boat. All of which have been more enjoyable than any of our Pelican Pete's experiences. It's a shame, as we live so close. We will probably try it again from time to time to see if anything improves. read more

Stopped in while having a fun Lake day. Cold day but great warm food! Our server here was exceptional, very helpful and full of energy! Very chill ambience for a boat stop! The muscles had so much flavor packed in them! Drinks are great too...we just stopped in for a drink and an app and then we're back on the lake for the day. Had such high hopes and wanted to help this establishment with my prior review as they barely had any customers visiting off season. Team cannot handle normal traffic for a business. Even for a holiday weekend it was not that packed and simply what you should see at any successful bar/restaurant. Went to grab some food to go as I have done through the winter but this time the ladies who were so wonderful during the winter months that I was tipping 25-30% as I felt bad there was barely any clientele, had no friendly service interaction for me and told me "we are too busy". Huh? Not everyone in the bar area was eating. Dock-mates said I should have just sat down at the bar (Yes there was an empty seat) ordered food and then ask for a to go box. Was super hopeful but this rollercoaster from good to bad and mostly bad service for the past 4 years is ridiculous. Team needs training and to experience how other successful establishments deliver excellence on food and customer experience at the same time and how operating at capacity is really done in the industry. Decided to try them again. Went in & checked health score-80. About a year ago it was in the 90's. Before that in the 70's. Walked out & drove to pig tales on the other side of the lake. 100 health score, cheaper drinks a view as good or better. Hate this as pelican Pete's is 5 min from home but it's worth the drive to go to pig tales or fish tales!!! read more

This place is all about the ambiance. While it is the only restaurant for miles on the water it surely could do better. We waited for an hour only to be seated at a bar with a counter. The beer was cold on tap but the food was just ok. I had a salad and the rest of the party had burgers. My salad came in a plastic bowl and it was all lettuce. Very little chicken snd other stuff. Had to ask for a 2nd 1/2 full 2 oz container of dressing. The burgers only come one temp and seemed ok. The watermelon as a side was really over ripened bad seeded watermelon. We had 2 beers on tap and a salad and 3 burgers and our bill was over 80.00. Really? They had live music which was pretty good , a guy with a guitar. It's a great place if you're in Lake Lanier, in warm weather, to watch people. It is expensive, and Service is lacking. The food wasn't bad, but not worse, the extra money. The best part is that you can bring your dog and sit on the patio with them. This place is enormous, but the food came out pretty fast. There was no wait time, even on the weekend. read more

I don't necessarily go here for the culinary delight but for the ambience. I am a Lake guy pure and simple. They've got exceptional drinks if you instruct them prior that you don't want it watered down. They will pour you a good drink. The food quality not the best in the world but for my personal taste perfect. I'm not there too have like a culinary experience I'm there to have fun. This place offers fun good food great drinks good service you just have to make your mind of what you want. read more

I was so excited to visit the place co side ring it's branded as a floating restaurant and was recently featured in some blog i read on facebook. The place did meet the expectations in terms of the ambience and the location and the view. It's beautiful and mesmerising. But I was disappointed by the menu (maybe because of the pandemic they have limited ) and the dishes as well. We ordered Grilled Fish dish which was v disappointing and had to return served with coconut rice and beans. Coconut rice didn't have any coconut tu flavour. Their loaded nachos was good and the ordered a sandwich with fries of which the fries were absolutely delicious. The cocktails were also ok but less presentable. Overall for the price I feel the place is not maintaining the standard. read more

AWESOMEE and lakeside was so cool saw ducks. Got water with my meal but it was so cold and crisp. Love this place.

Make sure you check your bill and get a receipt unless you want to pay your tab two or three times. You can thank me later.

HOWEVER, what potential patrons need to know...............THE NOT GREAT MUSIC WAS SO LOUD, IT COMPLETELY RUINED THE EXPERIENCE. If they are going to book amateur musicians (who are playing the same chords they learned at age 14), and off-key singers, for "Pete's" sake, turn the volume down.............Hard to believe they are willing to destroy the dining experience with something so basic. The drink and food are great. This floating dock restaurant is a great place for friends and family gatherings. The food menu is kind of short, but completely understand since it is a floating dock. They have boat rentals, a convenience store next to it and live music and are dog friendly. Great overall place to experience. read more

Good food service was excellent and all the staff welcome you to the restaurant gets very crowded so I would get there early if you want to get a seat otherwise you're gonna be waiting for a while. Excellent blue crab claws sautéed. Also I'd give them a try on their appetizer menu highly recommend you take a chance and go to this restaurant. read more

First time back in almost a year. New menu bigger size restaurant and tons of staff. Stephanie was our server, she was outstanding. This will be our "place" when we take the boat out. Food and drinks were great, brought our dog as well. IMO this is the best restaurant on lake Lanier. read more
