    Fish fry.

Really nice atmosphere. Good food. Got the fish fry with fries and coleslaw. Liquid Sunshine drink. Husband got the pelican cheeseburger with fries. Music is good, not too loud that you can't hear the people at your table. Service friendly. Top is a bit revealing for me. But server is quick and welcoming.

Pelican's Nest is touristy, water-front dining at its best. Set right on the banks of Lake Ontario, we had an amazing view of the water, the boats, and the seagulls while enjoying our meal. Service was great. Our waitress greeted us promptly. She brought out some waters and gave us the chance to peruse the surprisingly large menu. I was expecting just burgers and chickie nuggies with a large cocktail menu, but there were salads, wraps, and several seafood options available. I ended up going with a cheeseburger and fruity cocktail that packed quite a punch. Mom ended up getting a different burger and a different fruity drink. Both burgers were perfectly pleasant. Cooked to order, with warm and crispy French fries. Is it the best burger I ever had? No. Is it the worst? Also no. Our party of two ended up paying 70 in total (including tax and tip) for a solid B+ burger in an A+ casual, waterfront atmosphere. It's tourism dining at its most fun.

Half pina Colada and half strawberry daq. YUM!

I haven't been there in years and honestly, not sure i ever ate a meal there, but recently went on a Sunday at 6PM with VERY low expectation after reading so many bad reviews. I PLEASENLY SURPRISED! There was no long wait, drink were not melted, definitely had some alcohol in them and the food was just great. I got the live music and beautiful views i wanted.

This is for a review of drinks only. While walking on the Genesee River Trail, we came upon this oasis. We wanted to stop and rehydrate a bit before heading back to our car on Boxart St. Turns out this was all a mirage. We should have left and went back to the other waterfront locations near Lake Ontario for a drink when we saw the cocktail menu only contained sweet concoctions. This is a big indicator for crap being served. Also, one of the specials board advertised Frose for $10. I inquired about this and the bartender said, "You mean rose?" I said, "No, frose. It is right there on the menu." She then said, "I don't know what that is and you wouldn't find another bartender in this establishment who would know how to make that." I said that is is usually just a frozen rose. She said she could make that, and I declined. She looked like she watched some Bravo television shows, as I do, and if you don't know what frose is after watching VanDer Pump Rules or Real Housewives, I don't know who you are. My stepdad went with the summer lightening, or something like that. It was basically pink lemonade and vodka and he commented it was ridiculously sweet. My mom went with a bourbon mule and I went with a Jameson mule. Both were served in a plastic pint glass. We were sitting at the bar, so I would have expected a copper mug. They were not good. My stepdad said the men's restroom was one of the most disgusting bathrooms he has been in. The women's restroom had a corner full of dead flies in it. This seems like a bar for the partiers that do not have taste in drinks and want to sit by the water.

Visited on a Saturday afternoon at about 3:30 for a late lunch/early dinner. Not impressed. It was quiet. However, staff wouldn't even acknowledge the 6 of us who were waiting for a table. After 5 minutes passed, I asked the staff if we just sit somewhere or would they seat us. She said she'd be with us in a second. She appeared not to be doing anything. But it is what it is. Then she said- you can sit anywhere. Service was really slow. Unbelievably slow. It took beyond long to order drinks and food. When food did come at 5pm or shortly after, it wasn't something I'm rushing back to have. Fish fry was outright untasty. My son said the wings were good but very small. My friend's said their burgers were good. And the salad one friend had. The drinks were very strong. Views were amazing. I liked the calmness of the restaurant, but it was so slow. It was not at all busy. I'd not recommend this place.

The pelicans nest is best known as a cool bar spot on the water and that's what it is. The crowd during the day is calm and at night is a little rowdy. The service and staff are nice and typically quite quick. The view is nice being on the water. However the food is or great over priced and poor quality. Everything is fried from being frozen and does not tastes like generic jar sauce or food.

We tried the new drink specials for the holiday weekend, Sailor and Blue Hawaiian and heard about the frozen wine slushes which we will try next time!!

The parking lot is not great because too many people coming there and lot didn't provide enough which is we all need to park somewhere that far away from the restaurant. The waterfront is gorgeous especially at nighttime. I love it!!! The waiters are great and very friendly. Food & drinks were amazing! I actually enjoyed without feeling greasy in my stomach at all! Impressive!!! I love their sauce for crab sandwich. It was delish!!! They have music at nighttime and kids friendly as well!!! I would recommend 5 stars if they have a better parking lot space. For food, I would recommend 5 stars!! It's good for people who are seafood lovers!!

Uncooked unseasoned mushrooms, cold potatoes and a poor attempt at ribeye cooked to medium.

I absolutely, recommend this totally casual, yummy wings, pizza & onion ring location. Appreciate our friends brought us here! Eat, drink & watch sports on TV in this darker wood establishment.

All I will say, is that it was worth it. The place and the menu are pretty cool/chill. Plenty of seating with firepit style table tops, extremely dog friendly, self serve water, and food/drink selections were great too. The waitress was very sweet, but was obviously overworked and busy too. She apologized and gave us free drink tokens and comped us a side order of garlic fries after they ran out of side salads. None of that was her fault, but it shows how the employees and establishment care about their valued costumers. We had the veggie focaccia, garlic fries, and buffalo parm wings (they were huge). No complaints on the quality of food or the portion size since we had more than enough to take stuff home. We will definitely come back. I live only a few minutes away by foot! I don't know why I never came here sooner! Highly recommend

Good. The Peppered Pig has grown and evolved wonderfully since then. As we approached, it seemed we might have a problem finding a parking spot. Luckily, I had a choice of three. In addition to a larger menu, kitchen crew and wait staff have increased, as well. Except for Chef/owner Chris and restaurant manager Nikki, I didn't meet any of the kitchen team. All other staff, including our server, Soula, were courteous, friendly, and appeared happy in their work. This happiness factor is so rare in service positions (stores and restaurants) that I had to mention it. Down to the most important: I had The Pig Burger. Pig Burger: 8oz beef patty seared in duck fat, tarragon aioli, bacon, brie, field mix, and tomato jam on sourdough toast. This was exceptional. I'd requested medium well . . . and this was the first time anywhere that the burger was exactly medium well. Delicious? I'm back home, 5 blocks from Buffalo City Hall, but I'd go back tonight for another, if they were open. Well, I'd want to. Then again, there were so many wonderful items on the menu, I'll probably try something different before I would have the Pig Burger again. And excellent coffee. Technically, The Peppered Pig is located in Webster, NY, but the western edge ... the northeastern edge of Rochester, NY. It had Peppadew cream spread, Arugula, and the beef was super tender. The bread crusty on the outside and soft on inside. It also came with fries. You could tell the fries are hand done, and fresh. I enjoyed it very much, and highly recommend it. My BF had the burger, he said it was really good. He enjoyed his meal too, very much. I always loved how cute it looked from the outside, and it is just as cute on the inside. Dress is casual, at least during lunch. I loved all the personal touches. Our waitress was on point, stress free, even though it was pretty busy for one server. I was impressed. It is bigger than I thought. The bar is when you walk in. Then they have a smaller dining area to the right, and a larger one to the left. It looks like they use the larger one for dining. It was a very smart set up. Decorated really well. French Farmhouse feel, in busy city. They did a great job. The little pig decorations, and how they transitioned the pig to their menu. We will definitely be going back. I saw so many different items I wanted to try. But today we kept it simple, due to time constraints. I just wish we had more time to enjoy it. But we will be back for dinner.

I also was a bit late in getting a reservation so I was lucky to get one there. Our reservation was at seven and we were seated within five minutes after chatting a bit with the bartender who is really friendly. We had a booth to ourselves in the main dining area. There's also a smaller side room with two person booths. They had a great selection of beer so I ordered a hazy IPA as usual. It took a while for us to figure out what to order because this menu is huge! I shared some pictures of the menu and the special sheet. We ordered the Italian calamari as an appetizer. It was very good, with banana peppers, and olives, and an Italian dressing on it. Also, the bread they gave you was really great! They have a woodfired pizza oven, which is massive by the way. You can see it from the main dining room. My wife ordered a medium veggie pizza. It was very tasty, I tried a few bites myself. Not as crispy on the bottom as I'd like, but with a veggie pizza you're fighting a losing battle I know. All those veggies have a lot of water in them so making a crisp crust is tough. I ordered the Chicken Riggies - which I will be honest. I think it's the first time I've ever ordered it! It's rigatoni with breaded chicken pieces and lots of green, red and spicy peppers. They said they could make it as spicy hot as you wanted. I ordered it medium and it was medium, which is fine. I've tried it at some restaurants in the Utica area and it comes out so fiery hot that I can't even hardly eat it. You can always add heat you can't take it away! It was really good though. We both took half our meal home so we had dinner the next night too. I will say that the prices at Charlotte Tavern are very reasonable and the food selection is awesome. We will definitely have to come back! The atmosphere of the place is really cool too. It's been around since 1873 and they have old pictures of Charlotte landmarks adorning the walls. Our server was great too - I forgot her name but she was the owner's daughter and she did a great job. She apologized a few times that the food was taking a little while, but we realized on Valentine's Day places are busy. I guess they had a lot of takeout orders so people must know the food's great and if they can't get a reservation, they just order it to go. Which is not a bad idea by the way.
