Stumbled upon this place by Accident, but that's often the best way to find a gem like this! Great people and Great food. The chef recommended our food, and we can't wait to get back and try the next recommendation. Thank you, Nikki and the staff, for a great Sunday and a memorable meal. :-) Kim & Ken

A hidden gem for the area - The Peppered Pig exceeded my expectations! I'd always known of it, finally had the opportunity to try it, and was not disappointed. Thoughtfully unique menu - wonderful service - amazing value. The goat cheese croquettes are life changing.

Delicious burger no bun with Brie and a small wedge salad instead of fries.

Enjoyed a low carb/keto meal at the Peppered Pig. Had their burger with Brie and substituted fries for a small wedge salad. The burger.... simple, juicy and cooked perfectly. The burger was thick enough to be juicy but not too thick to be overwhelming. They use a high quality beef with good fat content which is key for juiciness. Simply seasoned and I love Brie which always adds richness. The wedge salad offered a good balance of textures and flavors. The lettuce was cool and crisp. Everything on my plate worked together harmoniously. As for the front of the house, our waitress was outstanding. Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. I will definitely return.

Never, ever judge a book by its cover! And so it is with Peppered Pig. Unassuming gives way to sweet smells of what's to come. Salads, sandwiches and OMG those fries! Don't even try to have just one. All flavor packed and delicious together or on their own. My only warning is if you come for lunch be prepared to walk out stuffed. Hey, think of it as an early dinner. Enjoy!

I don't know why I never noticed this place before, but it caught my eye as I was out running errands- so we took advantage of the work holiday and went for a late lunch. First of all, we both had the pig bourbon smash wish was EXCELLENT! I had the the Pig burger - an 8oz beef patty, seared in duck fat, tarragon aioli, bacon, brie, field mix, tomato jam, sourdough - so good! I can't wait to go back and try more things!

Have passed by a number of times and finally tried it out-- wish I had done it ages ago!! Had a fabulous meal, attentive staff, and a comfortable dining room. We did not have alcoholic beverages, but they had a nice wine list and a number of cocktails and mock tails. We started with a chicken liver mousse served with wonderful fresh salty bread and a fabulous jam. I had the chicken and biscuits-- lots of white meat chicken and homemade biscuits in a really nice mushroom gravy. My other half had a Bouillabaisse and said all the fish and seafood was cooked perfectly, and the broth was well seasoned. We ended the night with a bread pudding that was so large it's a good thing we split it! Great food, great service.

Lunch at the peppered pig was great! It was quiet, clean, and great service. Espresso martini was well done along with the croque madame and quiche Lorraine and house salad - all very fresh! Great French food including the to die for hand cut fries with a side of aioli.

Do they have daily specials? And what is the best time to eat here, lunch or dinner?

Yes. They have specials but I'm not sure they are every day. Dinner is very good.

It was busy (Mother's Day). We ordered coffees first. I got an iced vanilla latte and I really enjoyed it. One of the better latte's I've had in the area. Our waitress was ok, got us everything we needed, but nothing really stood out. The ham and asparagus crepe was enjoyable. I was able to order it gluten free. I found a weird square chunk of some sort of meat that did not resemble ham, so that was a little off putting. They had several gluten free options on the menu which was a big plus. The crepes from the simply strawberry crepes were cold (as if it were made ahead of time). The crispy red potatoes were under salted and bland in my opinion. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. It's not my new go-to spot, but I would come back.

From the moment you step inside, you can feel the pride and passion the owner puts into this restaurant--it truly shows in every detail, from the inviting atmosphere to the impeccable service. A special shout-out must go to our server, Morgan, who was fabulous! Morgan was attentive, friendly, and made our entire dining experience seamless and enjoyable. Great service is the cherry on top, and Morgan delivered. But let's talk about the food, because it is simply fabulous! Shrimp and Grits: This dish is a masterpiece. The grits were creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the shrimp were plump and flavorful. It's easily one of the best versions I've ever had. Whammy Chicken Sandwich: This is not your average sandwich! Juicy, tender chicken layered with delicious toppings--it lives up to the name and delivers a total flavor "whammy." It's bold, satisfying, and a must-try. Chicken and Crepes: The combination was delicious, but my husband noted one minor preference. We believe the syrup served was a bourbon syrup, which, while unique, he would have preferred a more traditional maple syrup. Still, a high-quality and satisfying dish! Mimosas Flight: The perfect way to start your brunch! The flight offers a fantastic variety of flavors, allowing you to sample and find a new favorite. They were all fresh, bubbly, and beautifully presented. Strawberry Mojito: And speaking of drinks, the strawberry mojito was absolutely delicious! It was perfectly balanced--refreshing, sweet, and minty, making it a perfect complement to the meal. Every dish we tried was executed with skill and high-quality ingredients. This is much more than just a crepe place; it's a destination for outstanding breakfast and lunch fare. If you're looking for incredible food, great drinks, and a place where the owner genuinely cares about your experience, look no further than Simply Crepes. Five stars all the way! We will absolutely be back soon!

While planning our dinner party months in advance, the communication from Janine was excellent. She helped us develop a 4-course menu that was sure to have something for everyone, including vegan and allergy friendly options. Amy was our server for the evening, and she ensured we had everything we needed to enjoy our evening. The chairs in the Meyer's Den are wide and comfortable, the decor is dark and classy, and being in the basement away from the dining room made it very quiet and easy to converse with family. The room is rather spacious for 12 guests, but could also accommodate a few more people without feeling cramped. Out of the appetizers we selected, the Charred Octopus was very popular and everyone enjoyed it...even those that had never previously eaten octopus. The baby cauliflower dish was also a beautiful presentation, and quite large and enjoyable. The salads, particularly the Charred Hurricane salad, were nice light courses before the entree was served. As for the entrees, the filet mignon was a little on the dry side, but we really enjoyed the light and crispy spinach fritters that accompanied the beef. The salmon was a generous portion of medium rare fish, and there was lot going on with that dish - spicy cauliflower and za'atar potatoes that had some mixed reviews. Folks who ordered the duck breast seemed to enjoy the complex preparation, which had asparagus, green beans, and two pureed sauces - cauliflower ginger and cherry-rhubarb. The doughnut bread pudding with apple pieces and vanilla ice cream was a delicious, decadent way to end the meal. We left rather stuffed, and delighted with the overall experience that allowed our family to celebrate together.

For appetizers, we got the roasted beets and the bone marrow. Both were good. I got the duck breast for entree and my friends got the carrot cavatelli and lobster bucatini. We all enjoyed our dishes. The duck was succulent and roasted just enough. The Brussel sprouts that came on the side were a disappointment though. For dessert, I ordered ricotta pine nut tart with lemon sorbet. The tart was very subtle in flavor but good. My friends ordered the bread pudding which was great as well. Overall, very satisfied with the food and service. Can be back!

They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.
