They came out on time and were diligent in their assessment but stayed for over 2 hours while they tried to rework the quote again and again to desperately try and get your business. They are more than double the price of competitors and trash talk them as well (unprofessional). Also expect to be continually spammed by their team even once you have advised them that you are not moving forward with them. They pester you to try and get you to say yes, and then have the cheek to send a survey request out via text early in the morning as well. My recommendation is to stay far away from them. read more

Don't waste your time using their online appointment scheduling. Within minutes of entering my info, I got a call from their representative in the 425 area code. I explained that I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel and was now dealing with the potential need for the window to be replaced. I explained that I would like them to look at the project, share their "consulting wisdom for window options," and give me an estimate on the complete job. She questioned whether I was working with a contractor who would do the installation ---at this point, I don't know because I need you to give me your options/prices as a company for the job. I was basically told that they couldn't give me a quote for the window and that it would be a waste of their time to do the consultation. Considering I need the entire house done next year, you lost my business. I'll happily share this with friends and neighbors--go elsewhere. read more

This company has come to our home 9-10 times to install a glass door and 3 screens. Each time the company has come out with defective products. They have lied and told us they are doing quality checks on the products before they have come to our how to install. When I spoke to corporate they told us no one has asked for quality checks and refused to read the documentation where we were told this since July. Horrible customer service and very dismissive. They have lies about their process, quality checks are not done and we paid for a product they are not delivering. read more

Disappointing for the Brand Back in September of 2023 I was looking to replace five doors in the house. Given Pella's brand and quality reputation I contacted them for a quote. The young lady who came out was professional and efficient. Based on that interaction I placed the order for 5 doors and two screen doors totaling $35K. Shortly after that a senior installer came out to verify all the measurements and get paint samples to match existing trim and colors. So far so good. Now the installation. The installers are contractors certified by Pella who work on many different jobs. The team that came out had to deal with the wrong screen door and the wrong trim for the main door. They did the installation but could not finish all the work around the locks and hardware. Additionally, they had to re-order the screen door and a new trim kit. They left. Never came back. The quality of the materials on two of the doors was not great. I took pictures and submitted for replacement. Two months later a team came out to swap out the materials but the replacement material was not better. Three months later I finally had another crew come out to finish the trim work. Even though I had ordered and paid for matching trim, the parts that were sent did not match and the team had to run out to Home Depot for primered replacement trim. Question: Why did I wait three months for the replacement trim when it was just going to be off the shelf home depot trim? Anyway, I brought this to the attention of Pella. They offered to rush another replacement kit, rip out the old trim and re-install what they should have done back in 2023. I said no. I just went to Lowe's and took care of it myself. My issue with Pella is that no one actually owns the completion of the project and the customer satisfaction. They contract with different teams who come out and do a specific job and then leave even though the job is incomplete. For a premium brand like Pella, this is not what I expected. Pella windows have definitely failed this home owner. Having a ver very hard time getting this resolved. The class action suit against them was published in magazines to let you know there was one well if you don't read those magazines you still don't find out until the class action suit was ended in September of 2018 I just recently found this window rot which is probably 22 feet in the air not something that you would see everyday and I've had two other windows rot cannot get them to call me back because I've had my home for 19 years even though these windows qualify in the time frame for the class action lawsuit I cannot file a claim because it's over and also they want to give me a big 15% off of their windows they're 15% they're giving me off is higher that I can go to Lowe's and buy them for myself. I have 36 of these Pella Windows in my home the only thing helping on the lower half is that they are under a covered porch so water cannot get into those if it could they would probably right also read more

Would have selected 0 stars if possible. After several attempts to resolve an installation issue (window does not close properly and won't lock), we STILL have not had a resolution. Have made several calls across several months and still have not received ANY support. If you are in the market for new windows for your home, look else where. Worst customer service experience ever! I wish I could give 0 stars. I contacted Pella as I have a window that leaks. It is a Pella window, approximately 10 years old. Pella charged me 165.15 for a person to come out and look at the window. One month later, and I still have not heard from Pella regarding what actions to take to repair or replace the window. Several attempts to call Pella (during working hours, per their web page ) were unsuccessful as their phone system says it is outside their working hours. Finally contacted someone in their office and have requested my money back, to which she responded that she will have to have someone call me back. I assume that will take another month. Meanwhile, I'm out 165, still have a leaky window and am looking for a reputable company to do the repair or replace. Avoid Pella at all costs! read more

I just had quite different experiences from Pella than couple earlier reviewers. The house we bought had Pella windows and doors, which apparently were 20 years....and during our remodeling, we ordered several new ones. One of the new windows came with scratched paint, so I arranged this service call. Today, when Randy and Lee showed up, they promptly replaced that window (during my call, my understanding was they are going to paint on-site....so replacing is a nice surprise!) Then they worked on two of my older sliding doors that didn't slide smoothly, got the right problem diagnosed, parts replaced, and restored the 20-year old doors to dandy conditions, all in like one hour. A shout-out to them for a job well-done. We are generally happy with those older Pella window/doors in the house too, seems still solid after years! read more

The picture window we had was single-pane and had an aluminum frame like those you saw in grade schools growing up. It would sweat in the winter and it would allow the living room to heat up in warm weather. The outside molding was blistered and had begun to rot at the bottom. Audrey from Pella was consulted and a plan to replace the window with dual-pane UV absorbing glass, a Jefferson molding outside and mahogany trim inside was developed. It was installed by Samsi yesterday despite the rain. Great improvement. The work was originally scheduled five days later, but Pella worked to move the date up. read more

I called and asked for help with re-stringing the cords on older (1975) Pella double-hung windows. Both cords had broke and the window was inoperable. No youtube videos showed how to best replace/re-string the cording. The Pella service person (Larry) arrived just before the appointed time and 1.5 hours later, the windows were back in and working. New windows would have been in excess of $5000 so I was over-the-top delighted they could be repaired and in short order. Thank you Pella! read more

When we filed a complaint with the BBB the manager tried to send me flowers. Flowers? And the installers told me the Pella standard is that they will come back as many times as needed to make sure the customer is happy. Hmmm. How about trying to make sure everything is done right the first time? Is that too much to ask? They'd rather continually inconvenience their customer as they try again and again and again to get it right. Please seek the many alternate choices. Pella is not worth your time. But if you decide to go with them and they screw up over and over you can expect to receive flowers. Also note they can't even do that right, the florist called me because the address given by Pella was wrong. I asked him to NOT deliver the flowers. I just didn't need flowers to remind me how incompetent Pella is. And don't read their response to this as concern, that's just for you the reader of this review. The new salesperson was 2 hours late for our appointment (but she did call twice ahead to let me know she was stuck in traffic) when she came over to give me a windows measurement and installation estimate and didn't want to admit that she was new. She brought along a trainer and didn't want to say she was in training but just lied and said his colleague was visiting from out of town and just "tagging along.". She couldn't answer some of questions and had to resort to her colleague to fill in the answers from time to time during her presentation. She carelessly, negligently and accidentally damaged my expensive fine mahogany wood dining table and put a deep wood chip scratch and nick in the corner of the table when she lifted the window sample model from the floor and up to put on the table for her heat lamp demo. presentation without first covering it with a plastic lining, cover or protection. She was unapologetic and didn't even send me a detailed itemized quotation that I requested when she said she already emailed it at my house and didn't even follow up or send it when I called her to remind her. Not only did she not apologize for her carlessness but she even quipped that "your table was pretty damaged already"! She even falsely accused me of using her written estimate so I can save $20 from another competitor who was buying other competitor's written estimates when I complained to her supervisor in order to justify and rationalize her negligence and mistakes. Bottomline Summary: It cost me almost $300 (almost the price of one window) to repair the damage to my fine mahogany wood dining table the salesperson accidentally and carelessly damaged but the Area Manager was nice and reimbursed me only after I had called to complain but I had to spend considerable amount of unnecessary time and effort to get 3 repair estimates. An expensive lesson for me to learn to not trust any lying and unapologetic new windows salespersons again. Their windows estimates were overpriced and they also charged me extra to remove and re-install the shutter decorations on the side of the windows which don't even touch the windows. The other competitors' estimates did not even mention, bring up, or list this extra fee on their estimates. read more
