My mom always insists on visiting wine country in Temecula whenever she comes to visit from Chicago, and we ended up here following a recommendation from another winery we visited. Immediately (on a Tuesday) we were met with a great looking food truck, 5-7 groups of wine tasters, a beautiful barn and fantastic wines. Kelsey was superb behind the bar being patient with our group wanting to try one or two before buying a glass (even with a line forming behind us). This tasting room looks like something right out of a catalog and the winery grounds are gorgeous! They also have a selection of beers for those that don't fancy wines and a plethora of souvenirs! We came on a Wednesday evening during the holidays and were so pleasantly surprised at the size of the grounds, including the ice rink. The decorations and the music were bumping, and the family fun was in full throttle. We unfortunately could not skate because the sessions were full, but we took for next time we are in town. The red sangria was a hit with our group, and got a couple of the 'souvenir' cups to share amongst us. There were other options like hot chocolate and the like for the family too. In the "main" building, the decor is rustic / barn with a bit of a modern flair. There are plenty of tables both inside and outside, and a stage where there was somebody singing. There was a cookie decorating activity that we paid for, and enjoyed the cookies as well. Overall, a great visit and can't wait to come back again soon! read more

Let me start by saying that, taken together, Chris, made the experience the excellence it was. Chris took the time to blend his expertise with wines and blend it with meaningful conversations - creating an experience that is not found enough when on the wine trail. I am in it for the Reds and Chris took us on a great path that was all about it. Of the Reds we enjoyed, hands down, the Zinfandel Aged Bourbon Barrel stole the show. Had to make a bottle purchase on this one. I was beyond surprised that a "Zinfandel" could be what this is, incomparable. Whatever these folks are doing at Peltzer...they have figured it out...Big time! The ambiance is relaxed and confidentiality rustic. A very open layout spatially which lends to the boldness of their wines. I came here yesterday for my birthday. I am a retired disabled veteran with a trained service dog. We ordered like 3 bottles of wine, sat outside, and were generally enjoying our time. I started getting a lot of bad lower back pain so I took my service dog to walk around the place to loosen up and explore a little bit. Because it is a really pretty place. As I was walking around I was approached by a staff member telling me that the owners mother told him that I had to leave because I didn't have my TRAINED SERVICE DOG'S leash in my hand even though he never left my side. I tried to explain that I am a retired disabled veteran and that this was my service animal and pointed to his vest that even said in bold letters SERVICE DOG. The staff member was understanding but told me that the owners mother wanted me to leave anyway. So i went and tried to talk to the mother to try and clear up any confusion and to apologize. The mother, who was standing with a group of people drinking and already intoxicated, told me that she didn't care that I was a disabled vet or that he was my service dog. I continued to try and explain that I didn't see any signs posted anywhere saying no dogs allowed or anything saying off limits for people or animals. She refused to listen and continued to tell me that I and my dog needed to leave. So we closed out our tab and went to a different winery. The way I was treated, especially by the owners mother, tells me everything I need to know about them. I will never be coming back to this place due to how disrespectful she was and will be telling all of my friends to avoid this place. If you're reading this, there are better wineries around them that are more inclusive to veterans and their service animals. If I could give this place negative stars I would. read more

When doing a Google search I kept finding more advertisements that it's a farm, but when we showed up I was delighted that it was also a winery that sets up an ice rink in the winter! My roommates been my winery Guide. She lived in Temecula for a long time and I trust her with all things. She started us right at the top. This place did not disappoint. My dad really love the way they displayed all the rustic farm supplies. This is actually the first place that I've seen with signs warning you about the rattlesnakes. I appreciate that. It's literally been my biggest stress since I moved here . When the sun comes out so do the snakes. Make sure to always stay on the path and away fromfrom long grass . You should be just fine. If ever there comes that moment where you do start to hear a rattle freeze ! Now assess the situation, look around locate the snake ....slowly back away . You should be ok . Great outdoor seating in the shade and indoor seating If you want AC. This is a family friendly place that is great to hang out with kids. It is not as fancy as the other wineries but you can easy entertain for a few hours and kick your feet up. We had the Petit Sirrah which they grow on site and was wonderful. $15 for a glass or $25 for a tasting. They lacked food options and only have basic snacks there. Sometimes they have a food truck but it is independent. I gave a 4 star because of the lack of food for anyone and the louder than needed music. read more

Another stop while we were touring and tasting Temecula for our day trip. This was a great tasting room, too. I love the barn feel and the openness of the tasting room. The staff is super friendly and eager to help answer questions and to pour their wine and some award winning bottles. I ended buying their super Tuscan (red table wine), easy drinking, and well balanced. If you're in the mood and as the weather starts to heat up, they have a few wine slushy as well. In which they are known for as well as the great named bottles, "farmers' night" cap (zinfandel), sweet wine, their aged bourbon oak barrel zinfandel, and "super tuscan". We had a wonderful night at Peltzer pumpkin patch. This was out first year visiting. There was so much for my little ones to do while my husband and I enjoyed the yummy Sangria. Tracey at the Crush House was very friendly and let us try both sangrias before choosing. My children had a blast with the fun carnival games and riding the train. The young men working the games, Austin and Talan were so kind to our boys! We had a blast and will definitely be returning for the ice skating!! read more

The vibe at Peltzer is totally chill with its spacious indoor and patio seating. Different food trucks and bands come each day; just call to get more info. There are two Tesla chargers available. The only downside is that visitors of all ages are only welcome Sunday-Thursday, which is ironic considering their name is Peltzer Family cellars. It'll be tough for the families who come on Friday and Saturday, which is why we passed on it for a membership option. read more

My employer picked this place for our holiday party and it was the perfect venue for our group. We arrived at 7pm in a big charter bus and walked a short distance to the barn. The vines, buildings, trees were covered in twinkle lights in red, green & white. So pretty! The barn was done up in long picnic tables with plate settings. An open bar in the corner was pouring wine & had several beers on tap. Dinner was buffet style .. tri tip & chicken both perfectly seasoned & flavorful, loaded mashed potatoes, spinach salad w/ goat cheese & cranberries, green beans and dinner rolls. The service was excellent. The photo booth was set up outside on a covered patio, several heaters & fires kept us warm in the chilly night air. Plenty of indoor & outdoor seating areas to sit and gather. It was a great night at a great venue. I would definitely recommend this place for an event. Jordan helped with a special birthday tasting that I reserved for a good friend. She explained to a T each of the wines, pairings and differences from previous vintages. This place looks like it would be a great location to visit year round. They leverage the farm ambiance. The tasting room "barn" is large, clean and has lots of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy the tastings. They have music events, even a pumpkin patch during the fall season. Love it when there is a place for the kids to enjoy as well. The wines are great. I love it when a winery has estate wines. They made me a fan of Zins again. Bold and fruity but not necessarily Jammie. I loved Jammie when I was younger but have since outgrown that. I'm definitely coming back. read more
